SmartForms parameters not reached

Hello Expoerts,
I have a smartform where I should pass a variable per_num.
1- I have put p_per_num in smartform Form Interface in tab Import as follows:
p_per_num TYPE PERNR-PERNR (PASS-VALUE = checked)
2- in my driver program I'm doing this:
CALL FUNCTION FM_NAME
    EXPORTING
      p_per_num = per_num
    EXCEPTIONS
      FORMATTING_ERROR           = 1 etc.....
where per_num is input from login user of type PERNR-PERNR.
3- In the smart form I have created a window (not under MAIN) and in this window I created a TEXT. In this text I only printed the p_per_son as follows: &p_per_num& in addition to some text
when the form appears after clicking print preview I'm having &p_per_num& printed instead of its value!!!!!!!!!! seems that the & is not understood or considered as a normal text and printed as is
Am I missing something? I'm not able to get the parameter value, please help.

Hi,
Did you type &p_per_num& direct into the editor? If so it will treat this as text.
There is an icon in the top left corner of the editor to Insert Field. Click this and enter &p_per_num& into the popup.

Ive passed parameters in my print program and these parameters are defined in the Forms Interface Section of the smartforms, but when I am executing the program, the smartforms is not taking the value of the parameters,

thanks for your reply. i wanted to add 2 thing after the installation the password i entered in installation was not working for all the super users that is why i had to delete SAP* from database and change the j2ee_Admin password.
you mentioned that the java stack is unable to communicate with abap stack but i can login to portal by j2ee_admin user. but when i go to identity management then it give the error i gave you earlier.
any way the dev_w0 file contents is bellow

FTP Sender - Message not reaching XI

Hi,
I am using FTP sender adapter to send an XML file to XI.
The file is being picked up by XI properly from the Source directory on the FTP server which is running on my local machine but it is not reaching the integration server. SXMB_MONI shows no message.
I have checked all the parameters in the communication channel and am sure that the fule is picked up. Alternatively, I am able to put a file on the FTP server. So the FTP server seems to be working fine.
If any of you have any idea of where the error could lie, could you please respond.

Hi Dhananjay,
try setting the file adapter to Delete mode
this way you'll know if your file got picked from the FTP
if you're sure that is was picked then:

here you'll find your message if it reached Adapter Framework (file/ftp adapter)

Messages are not reaching to Adapter Engine (JMS receiver)

We have one scenario running on Production env.
Scenario is: R3(IDOC) -> XI ->JMS Provider
IDOC to JMS.
Sometime we found messsages are successful in SXMB_MONI, but those messages entries are not found under AE.
Means they are not reaching to JMS.
Communication channel is green, without any error.
This happens sometime only, and no changes have been done to JMS adapter parameters.
What might have happen to these messages, which are successful in MONI but not visible under AE.(Even not in Archived option)?
I searched on SDN, but most of the questions are unanswered.
Please let me know your inputs.

check under message monitoring in RWB
if u r not finding the message there , those might be archived.
did u confirm with the destination system .. if they got the messages?
if at all messages are stuch in AE ... and if u search the correct message u should be able to see the message.
if the Integration engine unable to put messages in AE , then in some pipeline step in MONI it will show error

Error when reached the 21st step of the installation - Starting J2EE. The error message was CJS-20058 J2EE Engine JC02 of SAP system B00 did not reach state "Starting Applications" after 1121 seconds: giving up. The log showed the installation kept trying to start the service, and then change users.

Error when installing DI:J2EE Engine J00 of SAP system WS3 did not reach st

I am trying to install WAS Dialog Instance,but found error :
first run \Master\IM01_NT_I386\SAPINST\NT\I386\sapinst.exe
then set some parameters as usual and start installation.
when coming to phase 10 of 11:start sap j2ee engine,the log shows as follows:

J2EE Engine J01 of SAP system WS3 did not come up after 623 seconds: waiting for another 20 seconds.
and at last it gives up,shows:

JDBC Receiver adapter not reaching timeout

Hi Everyone,
The adapter is hooked up with the Oracle DB version 10g 10.2.0.5. We are trying to run a stored procedure to clear the tables before the INSERT.
Stored Procedure:

No matter whatever we try the message are not leaving the status "Delivering" in message monitoring. We have tried to use the timeout parameters as mentioned below, but no luck and the DB also holds the thread after executing the TRUNCATE command.

Thanks for the reply Basker.
logSQLStatment is already added. There is no firewall issue. We have tested this interface with an INSERT statement and it updates the database properly.
The trace stops at the point after calling the Stored procedure. DBA says the PROC gets executes successfully and thread waits for something else. In this case not sure why the thread is not reaching the timeout even after configuring the parameters.
Any thoughts.

Somewhere the address is not getting resolved. I would suggest you to enter IP address instead of the hostname in the RFC (SM59).

The thread running through your explanation has to do with connectivity to your server. (iCloud out of the blue asking for password, unable to message your boyfriend, unable to access e-mail). You said that you boyfriend restart his device and then the two of you were able to then imessage. My best advice for you would be to go to settings to reset to reset network settings. Once this has been done you then will need to enter the name and password of your wifi. ONce this is done you then can attempt to check to see that all passwords are enter correctly.

Goods delivered but not reached to customer (in transit)

I have a scenario that, we have done the delivery, Invoice, Excise Invoice and the goods have moved to customeru2019s place (in transit) but they have not reached to customer, and due to some reason goods have come back to the Factory. And the same goods will be sent after a week. What are all the processes I need to do at plant level?
My plant is Excisable.

1.Return order created with respect to billing doc No
2.Retun delivery (PGR)
3.Return for credit (VF01)
"4.Cancel Excise Invoice (J1IEH)"
5.Updated RG23A Part-II.
fourth process mentioned above is wrong. You should not cancel the original excise invoice. Only you have to make necessary adjustments in J1IH.
For updation of excise related sales returns, run T.Code J1IH and do the following:-
Customer Credit
Choose the Additional excise input the original excise invoice reference, document year, company code, plant and excise group and execute. There input manually what value you need to give credit and save.
Cenvat Debit
Choose Other Adjustment and here also, maintain the datas whatever you input as above and save.
Once you do this exerecise in J1IH, the relative registers will get updated.

Hi Please check the following....
1) As mentioned by other users see if RZ20 is still showing an error for this PO.
2) If the error is old, try to change the description of the PO and order to re-generate the error.
3) Error in process usually is due to diferences in the way SRM and R/3 works. All budgeting and accounting is maintained in R/3 so SRM might not properly display a hard stop for those errors until handled by custom code. Similarly some changes to PO are not accepted on the R/3 side after the receipts are entered.

MATMAS01 IDOC not reaching to SAP XI via report program.

Dear Experts,
WE are facing small challenge.
I searched on SDN on scenarios: IDOC not reaching to SAP XI. But could not find exact solution t oour scenario.
Problem:
MATMAS01 IDOC is not reaching to SAP XI via report program and is in status of 03 on SAP system. And there are not entries under SM58.
Under SAP XI system IDOC entry is not reflecting under IDX5 transaction, I tried to delete meta data of MATMAS01 thru IDX1 and uploaded again but still IDOC is not reaching to SAP XI.
The strange is that MATMS01 IDOC is reaching to XI via WE19 test tool. So PORT and RFC destination settings betweeen R3 and XI is also correct.
What could be the wrong ?

When sending Idoc from R/3,
Settings at R/3
create one port at WE21,
Create Partner Profile for Outbound Message type in WE20.
settings at XI
Create one port in IDX1
Import Matadata in IDX2.
Create complete scenario in ESR for Idoc sender, also import IDoc in Imported Objects.
Check these settings & send test idoc using WE19.

if you look at the installation documentation in the CD there is a prerequisites which will require to you to configure the MS loop back adapter by entering a specific IP address. check out the documentation in the CD.

When you have the latest ABAP NW2004s available for download in SDN why do you want to go for the old one. Unless otherwise there is any specific reason i would strongly suggest you to download the latest minisap (SAP netweaver sneakpreview ABAP NW2004s )

24" LCD has Super short mini-display cable that does not reach

I was setting up a 24" display (on an LCD arm) and i noticed the mini display cable is very, very short. It does not reach to the Mac Pro under the desk. I guess the 24" displays were made for laptops and did not expect that the cables would need to reach under a desk.
I couldn't find a Mini-display to Mini-display extender. Does anyone know of one?
Anyone considering two 24" monitors might want to review their own setup, to see if it works with the exceptionally short mini display video cables on the 24" display.

Charles, did you ever find a solution for this problem? I am ready to get a new Mac Pro and 24" display, but a 3 foot (1 meter?) cable is about two feet too short. I don't want to have the MP box sitting between my feet so it can be within 3' of the connector at the back of the display. I talked with someone at the on-line apple store today and he checked with an engineer and looked at the cable that comes with the display, and it was indeed only ~3' long. Since this type of monitor connection (the mini display port) is supposedly going to become the new "standard", I would hope that companies (e.g., Belkin, etc) will have high quality but longer cables available. I assume that the cable you have has the same mini display port plug on each end, and no adaptors are necessary?
If anyone has a solution to this short cable dilemma, please chime in!
