Smartforms - Variables not populating

I am working on the smartforms, where I am facing a peculiar problem.
I have defined the variable text for the smart form in SO10 (tcode) and provided the relevant reference in the configuration and in the SmartForm.
When I trying to Print Preview the report by selecting runtime variable which has already defiend in SO10, I am not able to see the variables in the report.
Note: The issue is peculiar becasue I have modified the changes in the develoment environment and it is working fine, when moved the transports to the quality environment, it is not populating the variables.
Checked all the objects in the quality and also the transport log went sucessful.
I think this could be environmental issue with respect to printing options.
kindly do the needful

Hi Pavan,
Changes need to be transported to the next layer in the landscape or they need to be created in the Q or P systems directly.
You can tranpsort the texts using standard program RSTXTRAN or you can create them directly in Quality or production.
Even I faced the same Prob and solved by executing the program RSTXTRAN.
Hope this helps.

  • OLAP Variable not populated

    Hi All,
I have created an OLAP variable which is being used in an infopak. In development, when i go into the infopak and display the result of the variable, i get what am expecting.
    However, after I have transported this to QA, when I go into the infopak and try to display the result of the variable i get the following error;
BEx variable YVC00060 could not be evaluated - No
    error message.
I have checked the user exit in cmod and the code is there and it is active. Have searched the usual places but cannot find any answers.
    thanks Geoff.

    Hi Geoffrey,
Could you please explain a little bit more.
How you are using a Bex variable (YVC00060) in Infopack?
Anyway, one thing I could think of is that the Function Module's (EXIT_SAPLRSS0_001) assignment may have become inactive.
Please check the assignment in CMOD.

    Vikrant.

  • Row-Wise Variable not populating in Filter

    Hi,
I have a row-wise variable that gets a list of units that an employee belongs to (parent/child units).
In answers, I want a prompt with a drop down that shows all of the units the user should be able to access. This works if the user only belongs to one unit. However, if a user is in multiple units, it only shows his "Current" unit in the drop down (just one value).
My prompt query is like this:
    SELECT "- Dim_Emp".unit FROM PRS WHERE "- Dim_Emp".unit = VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.Units)
From what I understand, the where equals clause should evaluate to a where IN clause in the physical statement, but it doesn't appear to be doing that.
I would really appreciate some help on this. Thanks!
    Kevin

    Kevin,
In prompts, the drop-down can only contain 1 value. You should use the multi-select option in prompt.
Try that and see if you get a list of all parent/child units

  • How to fail the task sequence if an MDT variable is not populated?

We are deploying Windows 7 using ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 CU3 integrated with MDT 2012 Update 1 using the MDT database locations table to populate the MachineObjectOU MDT variable.
Currently the "Apply Network Settings" task will read the MachineObjectOU variable and add the computer account to the OU returned by the MDT database query.  If no value is returned it will not domain join the computer, instead it continues
the task sequence and configures the machine as a workgroup machine.
I would like the task sequence to fail if the MachineObjectOU variable is not populated by the MDT database query instead of continuing as a workgroup build.  What is the easiest way to do this?
    Thanks!
    FP

    I agree.
I would write a script that reads the Variable and checks that it has a valid content.
If it doesnt i would return an exitcode from my script and have the TS fail on that

  • Alert variable not getting populated

    Hi ,
I have configured alerts in my PI interface. I am getting alerts messages in my alert inbox(RWB), if there is some application error. But thr container variable ERRORMESSAGE is not getting pupulated. In Moni, I could see the trace where all the variables are populated. But, in my inbox, I am getting alert text empty.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I think you you should use SXMS_ERROR_CAT, SXMS_ERROR_CODE while creating alert category. I am not able to find the variable ERRORMESSAGE in alert category creation.

  • Customer Exit Variable not working in BO-Webi Report

    Hi All,
I have created a universe based on Bex Query.
Bex query consists of a customer exit variable on Calendar year/month where in it will populate current calendar year month by default while executing the query. It works fine while executing in SAP BI Bex Analyser.
I have created a universe based on the query. For Calender year/Month i got L00, L01, LOV values in universe.
Based on the universe I have created a Webi report. I did not specify calendar year/month as query filters. While directly executing the Webi report, I get the calendar year/month variable screen. But the value for it not populated based on customer Exit code written in BI.
What has to be done to get the customer exit values in variable screen.
    Thanks for your understanding.
    -- Selva

Since you have customer exit variable in your bex query, it will be like a global filter in your universe.
Execute the webi report and check whether you are getting only current month data.

  • Worflow container elements not populating

    Hi,
I am using a simple method and populating certain parameters of the method. in stand alone from swo1 the method populates the container element. This method is then called from a task in workflow.
The problem I face is that the workflow container elements are not populated, although the container elements at the task level are populated corectly in the workflow log. Even If I am binding a hardcoded value at the task to workflow binding level, the workflow container elements is not getting correct values; when I check the log and hence the workflow goes in error.
I would like to know why the workflow container elements not getting filled with right values. I have done many workflows before but never faced such an issue before.

    Vishal Bhatia

    Hi,
I have checked the binding and workflow is activated again.
Also buffering was done in SWU_OBUF.
I also tried to run the workflow from SWDD itself and still the same problem. This is very strange. Never before i encountered such an error.
Kindly suggest. I also tried to create a new task and change the names of container variables in workflow. The strangest thing is the hardcoding of value also not being passed.
Types of parameters match and import export set accordingly.

  • Container Variables Not Filled

    Hi,
I have configured Alert Category and Alert Rules to trigger exceptions at Mapping, Adapter and Proxy level.  All these alerts are getting triggered properly.  But the container variable, &SXMS_FROM_SERVICE& is not getting populated and displays the tag as such.
I infact checked the Note 947738 (Container Element not filled).  But this is for SP 09.  We are in Release 7.0 SP 11.  So the note is already implemented.
But still I am facing this problem.  The container variables are not filled.  Can someone suggest how to fix this.
    Regards.
    Bala

    Hi,
Are all the other Container Variables being populated?
If yes, one option is to check note : 913858 . This note describes one question when the From Interface Container variable does not fill up. Check what it mentions.

  • Variable not processed after transport

    Hi all,
I have several DS applications. All use an Input ready customer exit variable with a default date value for previous workday. On dev System all is fine and working. After promoting the applications to prod System the variable is populated with the value from dev System, not prod.
I analyzed that it works as designed for applications where the Initial view has not been edited.
For applications where I edited the Initial view the value from dev System is in the prompt. Also other filters depending on the Exit variable are not processed and Keep their filter value from dev.
It is very confusing for the users that in some applications the Default date is yesterday as it should be everywhere and in other applications they get an old date.
How can I tell the application to update all variables when the application is run.?
It behaves like a BEx workbook.
If I run the query on it is own all is fine, of course.
    We´re using DS 1.4 SP0 PL1.

  • CopyDeliverToOrgId is not populated correctly when checkout PR in iPro

When we check out the Requisition in iProcurement, the system shows error for the Deliver-To Location, the error is 'Select a Valid Value'. After we click on the LOV and select the same value as in the Deliver-To Location field , the error gone.
    Setp.
    1. Select item and add to cart

Do anyone knows why I have to reselect the value every time I check the requisition
One of the metalink note mention that the variable copyDeliverToOrgId is not populated correctly.
Thanks in advance for the help

Is any personalization already exists , some like it will be based on OU with certain location ..
In my case , it was to enter correct Deliver to location was based on requestor -location combination based on OU.
otherwise check for Profile 'POR : Preferences - Deliver to Location' in system admin ,
    select * from fnd_profile_options_tl
    where profile_option_name = 'POR_DEFAULT_DELIVER_TO_LOCATION_ID'
    and language='US'

  • SET-Variable not working in script logic

    Hello experts,
I have a default logic running a stored procedure with parameters:
    *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE=SP_IST_VERTEILUNG_PARAMETER('%KD_KUNDE_NR_SET%','%VE_VERSION_SET%','%PB_PKS_BEREICH_SET%','%RA_RABATT_ART_SET%')
Whereas the dimensions have the following dimension types:
    KD_KUNDE_NR - Entity
    VE_VERSION - User Defined
    PB_PKS_BEREICH - Account
    RA_RABATT_ART - Category
When I send data (through excel input sheet, i.e. EVDRE) all parameters but the third one are correctly passed to the stored procedure. It seems the third one %PB_PKS_BEREICH_SET% is empty.
However, when running the default formulas data manager package, I can see in the debug log that exactly this variable is populated correctly:
    INFO(%PB_PKS_BEREICH_SET%, TESTCONTENT)
Am I doing something wrong here?
    Thank you very much.
    Kind regards
    Georg Renz

    Hi Georg,
I think we are experiencing the same issue as you.
We have a default logic running a stored procedure with different parameters (all the dimensions existing in the cube)
    *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE=Z_SP_Test_Default('%ACCOUNTP_SET%','%BRANDS_SET%', ','%CATEGORY_SET%','%DATASRC_SET%','%ENTITY_SET%','%GROUPS_SET%','%INTCO_SET%','%MARKETP_SET%','%TIME_SET%')
However, when we send data and the stored procedure is launched, the account dimension is not properly passed to the stored but the rest of the parameters are correctly passed.
Looking into your post, we have tried putting:
*SCOPE_BY = ACCOUNTP, BRANDS, CATEGORY, DATASRC, ENTITY, GROUPS, INTCO, MARKETP, TIME
    *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE=Z_SP_Test_Default('%ACCOUNTP_SET%','%BRANDS_SET%', ','%CATEGORY_SET%','%DATASRC_SET%','%ENTITY_SET%','%GROUPS_SET%','%INTCO_SET%','%MARKETP_SET%','%TIME_SET%')
but then, it is quite strange, because when the default logic is executed the ACCOUNT is passed correctly but the rest of parameters are passed as 0.
How did you solve it? Is there something wrong with our scope by?
Thanks a lot for your help!

  • Discoverer 4.1.48.08 - Data not populating

    Hi All,
I have created a package with few functions, and global variables. I am using one of the function from the package to initialize the values to the global variables, I
have registered the same function in discoverer. I have created a view in which one or more of the where clause is using the values returned by the other functions of the package, the values returned by the functions depends on the parameter for which i am passing through the desktop edition for which i want the report.
Now the concern is that, i am able to see the output of the report for which i am passing the value to the parameter, but in one of the column, the value is not populating, it shows null, then if i press the refresh button again, the value is populating to the column, this is happening for the first time when i log-in and run the report.
What could be the reason, why the value is not populating to the column for the first time, is there any solution?
I want to get rid of pressing the refresh button again.
Note: My view consists of multiple sql qrys using union operator, and each one of the sql qry brings the value to the column using the package functions.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vinod S Poal

    Hi
The problem i sthat the function in the custom folder evaluated by the Oracle fisrt and after that are evaluated the functions which sets the global variables from the parameters.
So if you open the workbook nothing selected but the global variables has set and the next time you got the result with the previos parameters.
If you change the parameters it wouldn't change the result set only if you refresh it again without changing the parameters.
This is not a good solution for using parameters in custom folders. As I know there is no good solution for this problem yet.

  • Quiz variables not updating

I am experimenting with the quiz variables in Captivate 4. I
have a Flash file that loads a Captivate file. In Flash, I am
pulling some of the variable data from Captivate... however, only
some of the variables seem to be updating and I am not sure why.
For instance, I have a few slides with click boxes that are set up
    to report quiz data.
The following variables don't seem to update... at least
publically that I can pull from Flash:
    cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored
    cpQuizInfoPointsscored
    cpQuizInfoTotalCorrectAnswers
The following variables seem to be updating fine:
    cpQuizInfoTotalQuizPoints
    cpQuizInfoTotalProjectPoints
I can also create a custom variable that seems to update
    properly.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
The below variables gets populated once you start taking the
    Quiz.
cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored - returns the points scored
for your last question. You need to have this variable after every
    Question slide.
cpQuizInfoPointsscored - returns the total points scored for
the Quiz. You need to use it after the last Question.
cpQuizInfoTotalCorrectAnswers - returns total correct answers
after taking the Quiz. You need to use it after the last Question.
Below variables gets prepopulated and need to not require
    taking Quiz -
cpQuizInfoTotalProjectPoints - Total points for the project.
cpQuizInfoTotalQuizPoints - Same as above one
Please take the Quiz and check if the variables are getting
populated appropriately and let me know if it helped.
    thanks
