Smartnet vs. Shared Support

Dear All,
I am looking for a document from Cisco that explains the difference between shared support and Smartnet NBD.
and what is the best for the customer ?
any ideas ?

SMARTnet provides technical support, hardware coverage and more from Cisco to the customer. It can be purchased directly from Cisco or from a partner. More information on SMARTnet is available here:
http://www.cisco.com/web/services/portfolio/product-technical-support/smartnet/index.html
In the Cisco Shared Support model, partners remain the primary contact for their customers, selling and delivering their own brand of services while having access to Cisco technical expertise, software support, and logistics infrastructure.  To learn more about partner programs, please visit the Channel Partner area on Cisco.com:

Hope this helps,
Mark

  • Does Airport Internet Sharing Support WIFI Mode G?

I am trying to connect a Nokia N810 Internet Tablet to the Internet via Internet Sharing. The N810 only supports B and G mode WIFI. I can't get a connection. Does Airport Internet Sharing Support WIFI Mode G? Do I have to configure for this?
    Thanks

I am trying to connect a Nokia N810 Internet Tablet to the Internet via Internet Sharing. The N810 only supports B and G mode WIFI. I can't get a connection. Does Airport Internet Sharing Support WIFI Mode G?
    Yes.
I've used my 802.11b/g/n capable MacBook to share an ethernet connection with my 802.11g ONLY iPod Touch.
Does the N810 see the network?
Does any other WiFi capable device in your home see the Internet Sharing SSID?
Did you give your Internet Sharing a password? Internet Sharing uses WEP for encryption, and the rules for creating the WEP Hex key from a text string password are different for Macs vs everyother WiFi device in the world. 1st try no password. If that works, then move on to using a simple 5 character password for 40/64 bit WEP, or a 13 simple password for 104/128 bit WEP.

In theory yes provided your network is up to it - more likely to be stable on a wired connection.

  • Sharing support on SAP Application

    Hello experts,
Iu2019m in charge of finding a approach (theoretically ) to ensure that  one sap application related to buildings management  will be maintained by two teams without problems. The two teams are in two different countries in Europe.
My task is to write a guide that clearly outlines the maintenance procedures that will be used by both teams without impacting the performance and generating conflicts.
Support will include: ABAP, authorisations, customizing.
    Thanks in advance

    Bassydiallo,
You mention a building management application, is that application Strategy Management or SSM being used integrated with other applications? If you are only looking for best practices for creating documentation, this might not be the best Forum to get an answer for this question.
I do have a couple of suggestions. Documentation, alone, is not going to be a total solution for what you want to accomplish. You also have to plan for some sort of ongoing communication between the two groups so that efforts aren't be duplicated nor problems being created because one group is not keeping the other informed.
I'd recommend you looking at Streamwork http://www.sapstreamwork.com/ which is a collaboration tool SAP offers. Both teams would be able to use the area for your documentation as well as updates on maintenance or customization. It allows you send email notifications and updates, which you will need to keep the team in sync.
SAP Solution Manager is part of NetWeaver that has tools for implementing and upgrading SAP solutions, a solution documentation assistant, test management, monitoring business process operations, real-time system monitoring, change control, root cause analysis and service or issue management. You could use this in conjuntion with a collaboration tool for shared administration.

  • Apple TV can't find my computer/ipad or itunes libraries of either but does find photo stream. (home sharing support all done, no fix) any idea's?

    apple tv 3, software: 5.2
    Using an Ipad2 , ios 6.1.2
can't seem to share in itunes?

Your Apple TV won't be able to access your iPad library. The reason that it will connect to Photo Stream is because it is pulling it from your iCloud account, not by connecting to your computer. Here are some things to consider (without knowing more about your issue):
    1. Are the Apple TV & computer with iTunes connected to the same network?
    2. Is iTunes open on the computer?
    3. Do you have Home Sharing setup on the computer and the Apple TV with the same account?

  • Is Home Sharing supported with Tiger and Itunes 9.2?

Having difficulty home sharing ITunes libraries between two MacBook Pros with different versions of Itunes.(9.2 and 10.5.1)  Appreciate anyone's experience
    with this.  FE

i can't get the photos to sync at all.
maybe this is related to vista going in sleep mode and waking back up?
but this isn't fixed on a reboot either.
my god itunes is a horrible piece of dren.
is there another way i can get my photos on my ipod without having to rely on itunes?

  • How can I share the music on my ipad with my imac using home sharing?

I’ve been trying to share the music on my ipad with my imac. I've set my apple ID account on both of them but I can't get any of the songs I purchased on my ipad to my imac. Even though, when I click my albums it shares the music on my imac to  my ipad. the reason why I couldn't do this before was that I had recently purchased my ipad and created a new account that was different from the account on my imac. so can I use home sharing on itunes with my ipad and imac? and if not then how else could I share the music on my ipad to the itunes on my imac?

iOS: Setting up Home Sharing on your device - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4557 - "With Home Sharing in iOS 4.3 or later, you can stream your entire iTunes library over your home Wi-Fi network from your Mac or PC right to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch."
The above makes it sound like it is one way, computer to mobile device.  Perhaps something below says differently.

  • Itunes File Sharing: Adding files doesn't work

    Hi,
i have a problem adding files via Itunes File Sharing in Apps. Here's my setup:
    Windows 7 64bit, german
    Itunes 11.1.5.5, x64, german
Iphone 5s, 32GB, directly attached via USB
several apps with file sharing support (OpenVPN, VLC, Good Reader...)
Now, when i choose one of the apps and click "Add...", i get a file selection dialogue, select a file and click 'ok'... that's it.
Nothing happens. The file is not added to the window.
It's not added to the phone after a sync, so it doesn't seem to be a display  problem. But i don't get an error message at
any point, so i'm quite flattered where to start looking for the problem.
    Steps so far:
    Reinstallation Itunes - no effect
    Reinstallation Drivers - no effect
Starting with a new media library - no effect
The only thing suspicious are some bonjour errors in the windows logs. But even with disabled bonjour service the problem persists.
I've searched for this in the forums but didn't find a proper thread/answer for this.
Anyone coming up with an idea? At least where to look for the problem? Is there a log file/command line parameter/deep inside special genius trigger to pull? I'm getting out of options here. :/
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards from germany,
    l0calhost

Problem solved. Complete deinstallation of ITunes, computer restart, telephone restart and finally reinstallation of the app did the trick.
But still, how would you debug a problem like this, when no error message comes up at any point?

  • Leopard Screen Sharing (VNC) Quality?

Before Leopard I used to use Vine VNC Server for accessing my Mac over the internet. Now that Leopard has its own VNC (Screen Sharing) server built in theres no need to use it.
Normally when I VNC'ed to my Mac over the internet using UltraVNC on Windows it would automatically select the best image compression/quality (eg only displaying 256 colors only etc) to make it much quicker over the internet.
But the new Leopard VNC server only seems to allow full quality screen sharing, which is painfully slow over the internet (esp as my macs running at 1600x1500!), selecting anything other than Auto in UltraVNC will instantly disconnect after entering my VNC password.
Does Leopard's VNC (Screen Sharing) support compression/image quality like Vine VNC? If so how do you enable it?
    Thanks for any help!

Thats what I thought as well, the "Allow control" option in ARD admin prefs is off. When ARD admin is not launched VNC to the computer works fine. If ARD admin is opened I can no longer VNC to it. Its like the "Allow control" pref doesn't actually do anything & instead is forced on always

  • ITunes to iPad Home Sharing not syncing all music

I have a new iPad (the one just released; iPad 4?) and an older MacBook (about 3 years old or so). When I open iTunes and set up Home Sharing on the MacBook, then open the Music app on my iPad and enable Home Sharing, not all of my music shows up. Some of it (around 10% maybe) appears. It seems to be a random selection.
Anyone know what might be going on here?
    Thanks
    -Zack

I find the home sharing can be a little finicky at times. Reboot the ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
Rebooting your macbook might work as well.
Rebooting the wifi router by unplugging it for 5-10 minutes.

  • IPhoto resolution of shared photos on idevice and on PC

    Hi all,
Would 1st off like to wish everyone a very happy new year!
I've spent a lot of time searching for the answer to this issue and there seems to lots of conflicting information out there..
My apologies if this has been discussed here before.
I read that all photos shared through photostream are all scaled down to a "device optimized resolution". I have also read that the same shared photo stream on a PC has the full resolution photos. However the tests that I have done don't seem to support this. Does anyone have more information on what resolution is used for photos shared on a iPad, iPhone and also  a PC. According to my tests, a photo taken with a camera (not built in one) and imported into photos and photostream will have the resolution reduced quite significantly across all devices - including the shared photo stream on my PC. Photos taken using the iphone/iPad camera are also reduced in size, however appear on my PC photostream with a different ( also lower resolution).
All very confusing. Other than emailing a photo is there anyway of sharing it with a friend/family member yet while maintaining the full resolution?
Furthermore What I can't understand is why would Apple offer the ability to order photo prints directly from iPhoto up to the size of a large poster and yet reduce the resolution of the photo so much that it's barely possible to get a decent 6x4 inch print made?!?!
Any further information and insight to apples strange crippling of photos would be greatly appreciated because as it is currently implemented it makes absolutely no sense to me.
    Many thanks,
    P.

Here is the recent support document on Photo Stream Sharing:
iCloud: iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5902
Which photo and video formats and sizes does iCloud Photo Sharing support?
iCloud Photo Sharing supports JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and most RAW photo formats. When shared, photos taken with standard point-and-shoot cameras, SLR cameras, or iOS devices will have up to 2048 pixels on the long edge. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide.
iCloud Photo Sharing supports both MP4 and QuickTime video file types, and H.264 and MPEG-4 Video file formats. Videos can be up to 5 minutes in length and are delivered at up to 720p resolution.
    My observations:
Photos taken on my iPhone will sync to my Mac in the original resolution of 3264 × 2448 (8,0 MP).
Photos taken on my iPad 3 will also sync to my Mac in the original resolution of 2592 × 1936 (5,0 MP)
    Happy New Year!

  • Explain Delegation in the context of Exchange Sharing

    Hello,
My company, MIT, recently migrated to Exchange server . . . I figured out how to use my iCal, and am trying to avoid Entourage, but I'm confused about the sharing support in iCal, and somewhat disappointed.
Basically what I think is that delegation is iCal's way to share calendars. However, in the Microsoft world, I believe Delegation is a whole different concept than sharing. Consequently, I have been embarrassed to have my entire delegate list sent an email when I invite only two or three of my delegates. I think this is because delegates in the Microsoft world are people you want to manage your calendar. Therefore, it's of no use to me. I can invite people who are not delegates, but I'm concerned if I remove delegation that people won't be able to schedule me when they are using Microsoft Exchange Calendar, of which the majority of my group's users will be.
    Please advise.
