SmartUpdate error when downgrading 8.1 Platform SP3 to SP2
On Windows Xp I have installed WebLogic Platform 8.1 SP2. I used SmartUpdate to upgrade from SP2 to SP3, and the installation was successful. Without making a single change to the SP3 installation, I decided to test the SmartUpdate downgrade feature. When I select "Service Pack 2) from the downgrade options list and click OK, I get the following error message. Makes no sense to me at all. The directory specified in the error message is simply the uninstall directory for platform. The directory does not have any read/write restrictions either.

Thanks,
OK, so I'm replying to my own post :-)
Well, it appears that my issue was related to the OS on which I am running platform. In my case, Windows Xp SP1, which is not supported (Xp SP3 is supported)
I ran SmartUpdate on Windows 2000 Terminal, and all worked fine.
Thanks for the help, self! :-P

Platform Version '1.9.2.15 is not compatible with minVersion >= '1.9.2.13' maxVersion <='1.9.2.13'
How can I fix this?# Delete the files and folders in the Firefox installation directory, default location is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
# Re-install Firefox
This method will not remove your Firefox user data such as bookmarks and passwords, those are stored elsewhere in your profile folder, and will be used when you re-install Firefox. -

When i try to do

Error when installing to a new server
I get the following error when attempting to install SunOne 6.1 SP2:
ERROR: The directory /drivelocation/SunWebSrv already exists and might contain pre-4.0 Sun ONE servers. Installing into an existing pre-4.0 server root is not supported. Choose another server root.
The server is a new server without any existing versions of iPlanet or SunOne installed on the server. The location we are attempting to install to is its own drive mount on the Solaris system with only the directory "lost+found" located in the folder. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening or know of a possible workaround for this?
Thanks! The problem is that you're trying to install to a non-empty directory. Web Server requires its own directory all to itself. Either remove the lost+found directory before starting the installer or tell the installer to install to a subdirectory.

Hi all,
On Windows Platform, encounters error when trying to open an Indesign document in INDD format created from Mac. Error received "Either the file does not exist, you do not have permission, or the file may be in use by other application". I am currently using Adobe Indesign CC 9.2 Trial version.
Kindly advise how can i open this document on windows platform and allows me to edit the document.
Thanks!
With Rgds,
Fiona ChoyNormally there is no problem to open any INDD opening on Windows, when created on the Mac.
But Mac user are often not aware on the naming limitations. A file name must not contain /, \, |, :
It should not contain any extended character, it is not a primary problem but will be, if something links to that file, so avoid also: ÄÖÜäöüß+&
You can use all other non A-Z a-z, 0-9 and - and _
I personally would also recommend to avoid spaces.
This is valid for the INDD file itself but also for all linked content. -
Getting Error when trying to connect to the Primavera database. PPM V7 SP3
Hi Guys,
Caused by: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'mailService' defined in class path resource [com/primavera/bre//com/primavera/bre/integration/intgconf.xml]: Invalid destruction signature; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.support.BeanDefinitionValidationException: Couldn't find a destroy method named 'destroy' on bean with name 'mailService'
I have looked into the intgserver.jar under P6IntegrationAPI/lib and looked the com.primavera.infr.srvcs.MailServiceImpl.java and can see that there is no destroy method whereas it is defined in the com.primavera.bre.intergration.intgconf.xml as below
<!-- provides mail services -->
<bean id="mailService" class="com.primavera.infr.srvcs.MailServiceImpl" init-method="init" scope="singleton" destroy-method="destroy"*+>
<property name="adminManager"><ref bean="adminManager"/></property>
<property name="threadPool"><ref bean="threadPool"/></property>
<property name="settingsManager"><ref bean="settingsManager"/></property>
</bean>
I get the above error when trying to connect to the Primavera database. I use PPMV7 SP3 and I have installed the Integration API from EPPMV7 bundle.
My demo's are working fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kajal.Hi Marc,
I am using a userid (is an admin)
Using global login method and provided userid & password in integration settings.
In the machine profiles, provided userid, password and domin.
Not providing domain in weblogin.
With all the above I am still getting error "Could not authenticate the specified user. %0" for HFM application
And with the same settings I am not getting any error to connect to essbase cube.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Error when installing SDK on BW platform
We have successfully installed SDK to our DS client, but get an error when installing the extensions on the BW platform (SP12):
I understand that I need to reboot the portal server, but the error message indicate that the issue will not be resolved. Any suggestions?Hi,
it could be that the depending extension was unpacked while installing the extension pack.
please go to folder C:\user\..\Analysis-config\plugins and check if the extension jar-file is available. If there is only a folder with the extension name you have to delete this folder,
uninstall the extension pack in your Design Studio (client side),
go to Eclipse and check the "Unpack after installing" checkbox in your project Features,
if it is checked please unckeck it,
export your extension pack to zip-file,
install your extenion pack again on client side,
now the jar-file should be available.
You sholud deploy your extension on Server without any errors.
kind regards

We are in the process of upgrading to PCo 15.0 and are getting the following error when starting an agent. We used the same configuration and setup using PCo 2.3 with no issue but we are having issues with PCo 15.0 SP3. This issue is happening on both DA and HDA agents. Has anyone see this before:

Re-apply the PCo Installer, expand the list of installation items, and scroll down to Additional Components to select Websockets, and deploy. That should correct your issue.

Thanks and Best Regards,
WidiHi Mustafa,
Yes, we are able to resolve the issue.
This issue happen because we change the configuration in
System Admin -> System Configuration -> Portal Content -> Systemlandscape -> (your system landscape)
- Display = Object
- Property Category = User Management
- Authentication Ticket Type = SAP Assertion TIcket
- Logon Method = SAPLOGONTICKET
- User Mapping type = admin,user
After we change this configuration, our we can connect with our Xcelcius to SAP BW.
Please kindly check your User Management configuration.

ThanksHi,
We can try to fix the anomalies with a package repair operation or by restarting the instdir process. Please try the repair option first.
' admin install verify packages repair'
Or
'process restart instdir'
Restarting the above process has no service impact on the router.
Let me know the result of trying the above steps.

Org.apache.jasper.JasperException; JCO error when Importing SAP Roles in C
Hello experts,
I have installed BOXI 3.1 SP3, Integration kit SP2, BW/BI 7.0 and ECC 6.0 on Windows 2008/64bit.
My goal is to import the roles into CMS from SAP BW/BI but getting the follwoing errors:
JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC'
JCO.nativeInit(): Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\sapjcorfc.dll: Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform.
java.library.path [C:\Windows\SysWOW64\;D:\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\]
org.apache.jasper.JasperException
I followed the note 1292144 - JCO error when Importing SAP Roles in CMC,but unfortunately without success.
I installed SAP JCo Release 2.1.9 (64bit)
Best regards
Lutz
Edited by: Lutz Heinrich on Aug 12, 2010 4:17 PMInstall the 32bit version of the Java connector. BOBJ is 32bit so even on 64bit Windows you need the 32bit version of the Java Connector.

Error when running report using SDK
Hi, I am getting following error when I am running a report in boxi r2 sp3 on IIS. Infoview and CMC runs fine but SDK application is not able to connect to CMS. This error does not come all the time. It happens intermittently.
Error in RetrieveReport: Unable to connect to cluster @hisuatcluster to retrieve updated CMS member list. Logon cannot continue.
Anyone has seen this and any way to pin point the cause. We have used -ns and -port switch in the command line of CMS and all servers.
Thanks, will try that. But we would not be leveraging cluster benefit then. What happens if that particilar CMS in cluster goes down.
Below is the logic of SDK.
1. Create an EnterpriseSession by calling SessionMgr.Login(the credentials we use to connect on in the web.config file).
2. Get a reference to the InfoStore with EnterpriseSession.GetService(u201CInfoStoreu201D)
3. Get a reference to the report as an InfoObject by querying the InfoStore u2013 InfoStore.Query(u201CSELECT * FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE u2026u201D)
4. Get a reference to the RASReportFactory u2013 EnterpriseSession.GetService(u201Cu201D, u201CRASReportFactoryu201D)
5. Open the report using the InfoObject (line 3) and RASReportFactory (line 4) u2013 ReportClientDoc = ReportAppFactory.OpenDocument(InfoObject.ID, 0)
6. Manipulate the reportu2019s connection information.
7. Set the vieweru2019s report source with the report (this is commented out in the current tests) u2013 CrystalReportViewer.ReportSource = ReportClientDocument
8. Close the session u2013 EnterpriseSession.Logoff()
