SmartView on Planning forms - Putting POV in cells

Hello
Is there any possibility to put actual POV values into Excel cells from the toolbar for SmartView sheets based on Planning dataforms? We need to keep POV values in sheet when copying SmartView report into another sheet (disconnected from Planning).
Thanks in advance

After connecting to Planning smartview connection check below thing in Smartview>Options
1. In Formatting option Use Cell Styles is selected.
2.In Cell styles option Planning and Common options are selected.
If Cell Style option is not selected then you won't be able to see planning formatting.

  • Identifying user who submitted the data through SmartView / Planning Forms

    Hi All ,
We are facing one strange issue wherein data from the data files of the source system is not getting matched with the data loaded in Planning Application.
We think that the data for the member combination which is not getting matched is modified by user either through SmartView or Planning Form.
We need to Identify whether such modification is happened or not from the user either through SmartView or Planning Forms ?
Is there any way we can find this details from any log or any back end tables ?
Could you please share your thoughts on this.
    Thanks in advance !

  • Planning form some columns set to hide but appear in SmartView

I have a Planning form with about 30 columns. Some of these columns are set to hide. The hidden columns still appear in SmartView. How can I get them to hide in SmartView?

    Hi,
May I ask you why you have these columns in the form that you actually want to hide?
I was able to recreate your problem. In web the columns are hidden but in Smartview it comes up.

  • Copy & Paste data into Planning form in Workspace 11.1.2.2

    Hi there!
I'm dealing with a weird problem with Planning 11.1.2.2 over workspace. I cannot paste copied data into data forms (whether I copy from an Excel sheet, a file, or another cell of the same form).
However, when I access Planning directly through :8300/HyperionPlanning/LogOn.jsp (old-styled Planning), pasting data works fine.
I tried using Ctrl + V and menu buttons, and didn't work.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
Not sure which web browser you were working on, but this is from the 11.1.2.2 Known issues for Planning
12360405 -- With Firefox, you cannot copy and paste data from Microsoft Excel into a Planning form.
    Hope this helps..!!

  • Planning form not opening at Smart View through Workspace

    Hi Gurus,
I have an 11.1.2.3 environment and I'm trying to open up a Planning form inside Workspace using the following steps : File --> Open in SmartView.
Right after Excel shows up I've got the following error message :
"The form /Forms/00 - Income Taxes/MPP1001.00 - Exchange rate  is invalid. Verify the log to obtain more details."
However, I've got to open up this same form directly into SmartView without error.
Did someone have this issue before ? Do I have to apply some SmartView Patch ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Hyperion Planning form timeout via Open Form under SV Data Source Manager

Power User can't open one particular big Planning form in Excel. Takes about 30 secs and gets net retry intverval timeout error. The same user can ad-hoc (one menu option up in the SV Data Source Manager) the form in question and can open the other (smaller) forms sucessfully. Logged into the users machine I can open the form in question. Logged into my machine the user can open the form in question.
Already increased the timeouts in user's browser to 2 mins and reinstalled his smartview client.
Seems like if I can do it on his machine - not his machine
AND if he can do it on my machine - not his rights/provisioning
AND if he can get at the same data one menu option up still using smartview - again not his rights or an error in his smartview
    Totally stumped.

    Hmmm
We had some timeout issues in Smart View in the initial stages of our deployment (although running 11.1.2.1), which sound similar to those you are experiencing.
Adding the following reg settings to client machines sorted the issues for us, it cant hurt trying these with your user if not applied already.
    Path:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings
    Three ‘DWORD Values’ to add:
    •     KeepAliveTimeout
    •     ServerInfoTimeout
    •     ReceiveTimeout
Value for each as 900000, with a Base setting of ‘Decimal’.

  • Hyperion Planning form change not flowing through to Smart View

Hyperion Planning 11.1.2 and Smaer View 11.1.2.
I have a user that installed SV yesterday but has been using planning for years. I made a change on his planning form (just added an account) and he does not see this change in smart view. However, he does see the change when logged into Hyperion Planning in his form.
One strange thing about this is the change shows for all hierarchies except for ones that he has loaded data to. So, for a hierarchy that has no data, it shows the form in SV how it is in planning. If he loads data to the hier, the form automatically switches back to how it was before the change, even when the planning form itself hasn't been changed.
Here is what we have tried:
    Rebooted machine
removed user security completely from plannng and added back
checked for ghost instance in task manager or excel
Opened new Workbook and opened form fresh
remvoed connection, closed excel and all instances, new connection and open form fro mblank slate
Nothing seems to be working. And I see the form how it is in planning. HE does not, he sees it the "old way" and ony for hier points that have data submitted to them. So, literally switches the view based on the POV.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Sounds like in the smart list set up you set "#Missing Data Form Label:" to "Data Form Setting" change it to "Drop Down Setting" and it should be alright.

  • Run Time Prompts on a Planning form - EMPA mode

    Hello,
I have a Planning form in EPMA mode setup to capture latest selected members via drop down boxes in the POV section and have the business rule execute base on the latest selected members in the POV section.
This is what I have done so far ..
    1) I defined the PROPERTY for each variable as "member".
    2) I selected the dimension name under the DIMENSION box.
    3) I defined the limit for members selection under the LIMIT box.
    4) I defined the default member under DEFAULT VALUE box.
    5) I enabled option "Use Last Entered Value".
    6) I enabled option RTP and entered the RTP text.
With the above setup, I thought when I clicked the save button the business rule would run based on the latest selected members via drop down boxes in the POV section. However, the rule kept using the default members that I had defined in the DEFAULT VALUE box.
Am I missing something else here? Or is this another software bug?
Thank you so much for your help.

Just to drill down ur question...
have to tried to run business rule from Tools->Business Rule ?
Is it still taking the defualt values?

  • Planning form

    Hi,
Would anybody know how to create a Planning form that allows users to save data at an upper level member?
I can submit the data at an upper level through an adhoc query in Smart View, but I don't have the same access when using the Planning form in Smart View.
If the upper member data storage option is set to "store" it holds the number. I then wrote a calc script that rolls up all items except the account members I want to keep from rolling up.
What's holding me up is that I can't get the Planning form to show the yellow entry cells at the upper level for these accounts.
    Thanks,
    Sujani

You need to define the Scenario as Target instead of Bottom up. The former will allow all level input, the latter level zero only.
I would thnk long and hard about letting Planners input at all levels -- if you're not very, very careful, that data can get overwritten.
I've always (at least so far) been successful with picking/creating a dummy member underneath whatever upper level member I want to input to and writing to that level zero member, but that's just my preference.

  • Hyperion Planning forms 11.1.2 Color coding

    hi,

  • Planning form , column formula not adding correctly.

    Hi all,
I have a small issue with a planning form. I have two columns
    Column1 - Decendants of Units
Column2 - Formula column, sum of col1 (sum of units)
Figures are entered as percentages. I have a validation rule for Column 2 such that if the sum isn't 1 (adding percentages so it's 1 and not 100) then cell colour should be red.
Issue appears if I enter .1 for 10 units, I get an error and for some reason the value of column 2 is .9999999999999 instead of 1.
If I enter .5 for two units, it's fine.
    If I enter .5 , .3, .1,.1 it's fine
    If I enter .3,.3,.3,.1, it's fine
If I enter .1,.1,.1,.1,.1,.1,.1,.1,.1,.2 the result is 1.1 which is correct.
Not sure why is this issue happening.

    Hi
I had logged something similar on here a little while back.
    Webform "Validation" column issue
Something to do with 'floating point decimal errors'.....I realise this doesnt help much as the solution was the same, but it might give you a place to start if you wanted to embark on the tiresome odyssey of Googling.

  • Can a member be READ-ONLY in a row of some Planning forms?

    Hi,
Can a member be READ-ONLY in a row of some Planning forms?
For example, I have a member called Salary as a row in a Form that is used to maintain employees. We allow Planners to update Salary in "Employee Detail" form.
However, in another form , we roll up Salary to "ALL EMPLOYEES IN DEPT" member and we do not want users to update that as it is added up by a calc script.
What is the best way to restrict users from updating in this 2nd form but allow update to Salary in first form.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You can use Asymmetric Rows and set the member you want to be read only, for more information on how to create them on forms have a read of http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hp_admin/ch06s03s14.html

  • Display Popup or Dialog Message window when opening planning form?

Is there a way to setup a planning web form to display a dialog box or message when the user opens a planning web form or expands a folder in planning? Or, is there a way to change the background color on a web planning form (input is yellow and would like to change it to some other color (light orange))? We are currently using Hyperion v9.3.0.1 on Unix Solaris. I tried attaching a Biz rule with runtime variables but the form errors with message indicating can not have run time variables on the form load option when opening a form.

    Hi,
You can use custom javascript to add an alert message in a web form, you will need to read up on using custom javascript in planning, have a read here
As for the colors used in web forms you can customize the css being used, have a read here
    Ok?
