  • Application crashes with Android 2.3.3 update

    Hi All,
My development phone(Google-Nexus One) recently received the Android 2.3.3 update and although native applications run faster my Air application is failing basic test cases.
Simply scrolling a list with TileLayout and MobileIconItemRenderer causes the application to crash. Error dialog reports the the application process has stopped responding and only option is to force close. Scrolling is very cluncky and not usable on 2.3.3(disregarding the crashing), testing the same build on Android 2.2 is fine.
Has anyone else seen performance/stability issues with Android 2.3.3 update?
    Any help is much appreciated,
    Cheers,
    Greg

As I said, I installed a new version of Android in my smartphone, which forced me to reinstall all the applications (including the Adobe AIR), so it's the version 2.7.1.1961.
I checked other applications that depend on Adobe AIR and see that is a common problem with Adobe AIR applications and several people complain about.

  • Multiple Holiday Greetings in System Call Handler for UC 7.0

    Hi All,
Is there any way to play individual Holiday Greetings in a System Call Handler in UC 7.0, i.e. XMas Day Greeting gets played on XMas Day and New Year's Greeting gets played on New Year
As far as Cisco's Doc's I havent seen anywhere this being specified.
Any helpful would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Sam Wilson

    Hi David,
    Thanks for your prompt reply.
So does it mean I have to record the greetings before every holiday and set it, or there is a way, to fall it over to a different Call Handler each with unique Holiday Greetings.
    Regards
    Sam Wilson

  • Smartwatch 2: Call handling app crashes

The Smartwatch app on my phone (Nexus 5) crashes frequently when receiving a phone call of opening the app on my watch. The phone shows a ANR (App Not Responding error) and the smartwatch disconnects and connects again a few seconds later, but my smartwatch only shows the waiting icon.
I've resetted my smartwatch, uninstalled and reinstalled all apps. I saw some problems with WatchIt! but removing that app doesn't help either. I've updated all my apps  and the smart watch firmware. I've tested this on (vanilla) Android version 4.4.2, 4.4.3, 4.4.4 and Android L.
Edit: just installed Android L, same problem.

Since 4.4.3 call handling app crashes, only works very few times...
To reproduce the bug, just open in the watch the call handling app, click favorites and enjoy the app FC in the phone... Instantly!!!!

  • Smartwatch 2 Call Handling vs. KitKat 4.4.3

    Hey everyone!
The issue: CALL HANDLING for SW2 is failing after updating to 4.4.3 causing the Smartwatch 2 app to force close. This error occurs when I receive a call from a contact with a picture.
I'm not alone--the official Sony Call Handler smart extension is failing, but so are third party apps like this one. The issue is deeper than the extension itself, it seems.
I'm still tinkering with a few settings in the phone to see if it's something I can change/fix or if it's something Sony will have to figure out.
I'm running an HTC One M8 Google Play Edition with official 4.4.3 updates, non-rooted.
    Sony, help us out!

Which AIR SDK version and device you are using? There was a sound.play() crash on Android 2.2 devices which was fixed and the build available at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html. And, yes minimum version is android 2.3, please see the link http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/build/WSfffb011ac560372f-5d0f4f25128cc9cd0cb-7ffc.html for more reference.
Also, I request you to share a sample application so that we can reproduce the crash if it is not related to sound.play() and reproducible with the latest AIR SDK.

  • Application crashes when calling DLL built with LabVIEW 2011

    Hello everybody,
Our application calls DLLs built with LabVIEW 2010 SP1. We installed LabVIEW 2011 and built some DLLs. So far so good. If we start our application and run 2010 DLLs it still works fine. If we run a 2011 DLL just once no error happens, but if we try to run the same 2011 DLL our application crashes reporting the error below. I saved the code for 2010 version and built a DLL and it works fine. Does anyone know why?
    Thank you in advance.

On that note, you should be able to create DLLs in 2010 and run them with 2011, correct??  In my case, I have a 2010 built DLL (talking to sbRIO), most of the functions work when run in 2011, but a couple of them lock up LabVIEW on the desktop (but not the sbRIO), no lock ups happen with 2010 on the desktop.

  • Setting up PLAR with Cisco Unity Connection Call Handler

This is a lab setup and Im doing it to learn.  No customer involvement.
    Setup
    Analog phones - FXS Port - 2951 Router - FXS port - FXO Port - 2951 Router - CUCM 9 - UC 9
                            |------------PSTN Emulator-------------|    |-----MGCP GW----------|
I have a CTI Route Point configured as DN 7000 and it has the default VM profile.  The CTI RP is set to FWD All to VM.
The FXO port is set to PLAR to 7000.
When I dial from the PSTN analog phones through the FXO port, I hear the first ring, the FXO port answers, then I hear what sounds like the recorded message beginning to play.  Immediately after, I hear the recorded message "You cannot be transferred to this number.  Check the number and try again."
I dont do anything and within a second or two, I hear the recorded message for the system call handler start.
I did some more testing.  I added an E1 trunk between the PSTN and the MGCP gateway.  In the CUCM, I created another CTI Route Point with a DN that I could dial from my PSTN cloud.  I also set that CTI Route point up to Call FWD all to VM.
When I dial using the E1 trunk, the call hits the system call handler as expected and I hear my recorded greeting (as expected).
However, calling through the FXS-FXO tie line consistently gets me the error message recording followed by my recorded greeting.
Im currently using loopstart on the tie line, though I have also tried ground start with no difference.
    Any ideas?
    Jeff

If I understand correctly, you want outside calls to go directly to the call handler but internal calls to ring whatever phone this extension is on.
If I am understanding correctly, then this will probably resolve it.  For the purposes of the explanation I will assume that extension 1000 is the number in question:
Create a new partition, we'll just call it ToVM or something like that
Create a new CTI route point with extension 1000 and put it in the ToVM partition, forward all calls for this CTI route point to voicemail
If you don't have one already, create a calling search space for the voice gateway.  Call it Gateway-CSS.  This should have the same partitions that the gateway can normally call, but it should also have the ToVM partition and that partition should be HIGHER in the list than the partition that has the normal extension 1000 on it.
    Apply Gateway-CSS to the gateway
Configure the normal extension 1000 (not in the ToVM partition) the way that you want it to work.
Now when external callers dial 1000 they will go to the call handler because that partition is higher in the CSS and the CTI Route point should be hit first.  Internal callers will ring the phone (or whatever it is) because they only have access to the regular internal partition (and not ToVM) that 1000 is in.
This is all assuming that I understand you correctly!

  • Unity Connection 8.5 | Prepend Digits to Dialed Extensions overlap with an option in a call handler

    Hi,
One customer has requested to set up a call handler in Unity Connection 8.5. The call handler should be capable of transfering calls to IP phones by dialing the last 4 digits of the IP phone's extension. The last 4 digits of the extension from all IP phones begin with 12. However, the customer is also requesting to have an option on the same call handler, so that if users would dial 1, the call is transfered to an IP phone
As you can see, there is an overlap between the last 4 digits of all IP phone's extensions, and an option in the call handler. Therefore, if I configure both options in the same call handler, when the users would press 1, Unity Connection will immediately send the call to the extension setup for option 1, even if the user wants to dial the last 4 digits of an IP phone extension
One possible solution would be to change the option in the call handler to transfer the call to an IP phone, to something different than 1. However, the customer wants to have this transfer to be performed when he press option 1
Is there any other possible solution for achieving this?
    Thanks in advance

I don't see any problem, just don't check the option to ignore additional input when configuring caller input on digit 1
By default CUC will give you 1500 ms to dial for any other digits before trying to route the call with whatever you dialed.

  • Domino Gateway Crash with Java.io.EOF Exception

    All,
My client has IDM 7.1 provisioning to Domino 6.5.4. It has been working fine untill last friday. Since then the gateway is crashing with Java.io.EOF Exception while trying to provision. The code has not changed and per some of the previous threads in this forum, I checked if they had any configuration changes in the Domino gateway server or at the domino side - like virus scan etc. However the answer was no.
I would really appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks,
    Biju.
Here is the last few lines in the gateway trace before it crashes:

  • Eclipse 3.7, 3.8, 4.2 crashes with IE11 and kb2977629 installed

Since the IE11 security update kb2977629 got installed, eclipse 3.7, 3.8 and 4.2 are now crashing with the java hs_err_pidxxx.log pointing to some updated IE dlls. When uninstalling kb2977629 the issues goes away.
This happens for me on multiple windows 7 Pro 64 bit build machines. We test the compatibility of our plugins with
multiple eclipse versions, the issue only happens with 3.7, 3.8 and 4.2.2 (and not with the more current releases 4.3 or 4.4).
Eclipse uses the IE plugin to render some HTML pages, for example on the welcome screen which is shown initially. The crash does not happen every time, but actually quite often.Call stack from a hs_err_pidxxx.log

Hi Thanks, for the reply.I'm using the latest 32 bit 7.0 build from oracle 7.0_67-b01. Since yesterday I now also saw the issue happening on a Windows 8.1 machine, so not just on Win7 64 bit pro.I thought I did attach the crash log before, does not look that way. Here's what the VM writes when it crashes (hs_err_pid4496.log)#

  • Smartwatch SW2 not working with LG Swift L9?

OK, i had something similar with previous Smartwatch (MN2), but i had hopes it will get better with SW2.
LG Swift L9 is 4.1 (JBean). SW2 is *.B.0.25 (ALREADY updated with latest, via PC/cable and Sony Update Service soft).
    So, here how it is:
    - I've managed to pair it with me LG9,
    - asks for Smart Connect (on watch screen) so i install it from play,
    - when opening Smart Connect on phone, asks about SW2 app, so again - i install it from play,
    - then what happens is that i get white rectangle on gray background on the smartwatch screen, and THATS IT.
    - the only think to recover/restart the process is to reset the watch, try to pair again, that works, but immediately after that, if i only start smartconnect - i get the white rectangle on gray background.
    Any ideas? Suggestions?
C'mon Sony - its advertised to work with Android 4+ smartphones, LG Swift L9 is such a smartphone. If it turns out to be a blocker - I will switch to Pebble (assuming if it only works with LG L9) - AND WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.
I wanted to stick with Sony, as i'm a dev, and Sony seems to provide most structured SDK/APIs for this product comparing to other smartwatches (with relatively nice Play store integration). But **bleep**, experiencing all of this im loosing any confidence... [and patience].
PS. Yes - i've called Sony UK support already, but they seems to be clueless. Looks like these guys never had the SW2 in their hands.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Ok, looks like i solved my problem, so posting here - if someone lands in similar trouble.
I took my SW2 to a collegue, with a different mobile than mine (I think it was Samsung Galaxy SII something, also with Android 4.+). Then we paired it, and then, surprisingly - SW2 downloaded a SW update, got upgrade to this 1.0.* slash 1.0.* version and started working fine with his phone. Then we unpaired it, reset the SW2, and paired it with my phone - and it worked!
Apparently the issue was that the SW2 version i had initially was veeeeery old, old enough that my LG L9 could not connect, and old enough that my LG L9 could not even upgrade it. Once we passed that point - everyhing works smoothly (at least for the last 5-6 hours).
    Issue solved then.
