SMAsetup.msi - Network Resource Error & Error 1706 "No Valid Source for SMA"

Hi all,
I recently did a system migration update for my r61e, but it didn't complete. I kept getting an error about SMAsetup.msi not being found. Now every time I start my laptop, the install tries kicking off & then I get the same errors (see below). I've google searched this & found very little to point me in the direction of resolution, so if anyone can tell me how to fix this that would be great.
Michael.
Error 1: The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package SMAsetup.msi (I clicked OK to no avail, & I searched my computer for SMAsetup.msi but again to no avail. Google search yielded nothing of use also).
Error 2: Error 1706. No valid source could be found for Product System Migration Assistant. The Windows Installer cannot continue. (I searched Google for this but could find no helpful info).

  • HP Scanjet G4050. Get "Error 1706.No valid source could be found for product ScannerCopy...."

    I just bought a new Scanjet G4050 and when I try to install the software I get an error message and the software will not install. Error message is:"Error 1706.No valid source could be found for product ScannerCopy. The Windows Installer cannot continue." During the install, I was prompted to enter a CD or other location to load ScannerCopy.
    I had an older version of this same Scanjet G4050 working on my PC about a year ago. My PC is running Vista 64.
    Any ideas how I can get the software to successfully load? Any ideas of where I can get this "ScannerCopy" that the software is asking for?

  • Error: -1612 The installation source for this product is not available. Ver

    Hi,
    I am trying installing the FA in SAPB12005A SP01 PL36. and I received this error message:
    Error: -1612 The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
    How can I resolved this?
    Regards,
    IAN

    I am getting the exact same error. How come anyone else did not get it?
    The procedure I followed was :
    Downloaded and installed the "download manager" first.
    Then selected all product updates from BOXI3.1 Enterprise
    It downloaded 58 items. After an inquiry I came to know that you need to install only the latest patch, i.e. Patch 1.7 will include all previous patches. So I was running 1.7 and getting this error constantly, and unable to install it at all.
    I tried downloading it from different places and networks, same error persists.

  • Error 1648-No valid sequence for the set of patches

    Reader XI in up to date Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Auto and manual update returns: Error 1648-No valid sequence for the set of patches
    Try to uninstall returns: Error 1648-No valid sequence for the set of patches
    Uninstalled using cleaner tool, reinstalled Reader XI, same update and uninstall error.
    Ran Microsoft Fix-it uninstall tool. It claimed to have found and fixed corrupt registry entries.
    Tried to install Reader XI...again, Installer said application already installed.
    Removed reader with cleaner tool again.
    Installed Reader XI
    Update and Uninstall errors persist.
    Reader works fine.
    Suggestions?

    Reader tried to update this morning, error 1648....again.
    In case it can help troubleshooting here is the log file generated from the last failed Adobe Reader auto update.

    Thanks for the information. I was able to resolve it though.
    Ran +'yum install gcc kernel-devel kernel-headers'+
    Hence my query is resolved now.
    Just one question - I need to copy text from Windows to Linux Terminal. Is there a command I can type into Linux terminal to enable copy paste from Windows to Linux and vice-versa ?
    Cheers.

  • MSA - creating/changing activity for bp error : enter a valid value for bp

    Hello experts,
    while using msa with activites, on one client for one bp
    I cannot create/change an activity: error:
    insert a valid value for bp
    This happens only for one bp on this client,
    on other clients this bp works fine.
    When I look in old activites for this bp, there in activity -> detail
    the field bp (hyper link) is not filled.
    I think there is a problem with the incorrect bp, but in which tables
    can search for this ?
    Best regards
    Gerd

    Hi,
    I assume that the BP is present in table smokna1 but not available in smokna1sht (anymore).
    When creating an activity the BP selection is based on smokna1, but the field/property validation is based on smokna1sht (see error message).
    But unfortunately I don't have any idea for now how to download this particular record to this site...
    Regards,
    Wolfhard

  • Smart Web printing network resource error message

    I have a Photosmart C4580 with an OS Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit
    The problem is NOT the printer but each time I boot up I get a pop up message box saying:
    "SmartWeb installation package cannot be found"
    Followed by:
    "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable".
    This has happened since I tried (successfully) to solve a Solution Centre problem from an HP download
    My browser is Google Chrome and I haven't used IE for a few years (IE9 is installed) I've never used Smart Web and have no need for it so I've tried to uninstall it to no avail.
    Searching through the forums an expert suggested Revo uninstall.  My question is how do I get rid of these annoying pop ups and if I use Revo to uninstall Smart Web will my other printer software be affected? Eg Solution Center and photo creations etc
    This question was solved.

    Do you still need assistance? I read your post to DavidPK and using Revo uninstall on another board. It looks like he got your problem taken care of. Is that the case? I just wanted to touch base with you and check.

  • Error while running Validation Data for category  not found in application

    Dear Experts
    While running Validation and IC Matching I am getting Error i.e. "Data for category  not found in application CONSOLIDATION"
    May some one tell me the reason and resolution.
    Thanks
    Ritesh

    Hi RItesh,
    I suppose your problem was solved in the meanwhile.
    Anyway we had the same issue, when running Validations against ICMatching App.
    That was because Method VALIDATION of Class CL_UJP_VALIDATE tries to relevant data in order to perform calculations (line 127), but if no data is found, ends raising an exception (with a misleading text line 143).
      read_trans_data_sqe( exporting i_application = d_application
                                     it_dim_list = dt_app_dim_list
                                     it_sel = lt_sel
                           importing
                                     er_t_data = lr_data
      assign lr_data->* to <lt_finance>.
      create data lr_data like line of <lt_finance>.
      assign lr_data->* to <ls_finance>.
      lr_data1 = lr_data.
      if <lt_finance> is initial.
    NO DATA FOUND -> EXCEPTION
        raise exception type cx_ujp_process_exception
              exporting textid = cx_ujp_process_exception=>ex_no_data_found
                        d_application = d_application
                        d_value       = l_value.
      endif.
    Hope it helps

  • "You do not have access rights to this network resource" error message

    I cannot collect responses to a form I have created through Adobe 9 / Acrobat.com, as every time I open the responses document, I get the above message.
    I think this may be because my password seems to be incorrect, when I check in Preferences / Acrobat.com, however it does not update when I try to change...
    I have collected data before using this program, and those forms are still working fine.
    Please help - I need data by tomorrow morning or my job is on the line!

    Is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it. I get this error everytime i try to install quicktime. Without quicktime I cant use itunes. I double click itunes and a window that says send error report or dont send appears everytime. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but Quicktime isnt installed and wont install. It is in my add/remove program list but I cant seem to remove it off there. I even tried searching for every qt file and deleted all of them. Im all out of ideas. Anyone have any advice.

    okay... i just got this stuff figured out... first... try installing the new itunes and if you already have dont delete anything from the itunes folder... go to this website and download the standalone qt http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html after its about to finish downloading, then an error message may pop up... ignore it and keep pressing yes... when u get this error message, it meens that it has deleted EVERYTHING that had to do with quicktime before. now go back to the website and download it again... it should work
