SMB connection time not displayed

Dunno if this goes under this topic or if there's one more suited to Windows questions, but here goes:
I'm running 10.4.6 Server on an XServe, mostly for Windows XP clients. I've set up Windows Services and all clients access a few folders shared on the XServe. In Server Admin, I can see a list of all connected clients, and the connection graphs/logs update properly, but under 'Time' in the list of clients, they all say '00:00', even though most of them have been on for hours. Is there a way of forcing this to update, or a simple reason why it's not displaying the connection time? Windows 2003 had much more in the way of statistics about open connections, which did come in quite handy at times.

It shows when you are connected using PPPoE. Click on the Airport Icon in the menu bar then hold your mouse over your Airport connection. A submenu should pop up. There will be a check mark next to "Show time connected." Select that line it to toggle the setting off.

Email time not displaying

Hi I hope someone can help me. I have a new MacBook Pro. On Saturday, I used Migration Assistant to transfer all my data including all my emails of course. However, when I open mail, although the date of the email is displayed in the Date received column, there is no time displayed. The times are displayed for all the emails which migrated. This is going to cause me problems if I cannot resolve it. I have looked at various settings, but can't see anything obvious.
I would be very grateful indeed for any suggestions.

Just to update, Apple Support helped me to delete and reinstall my mail accounts. A glitch of some sort, but all working now.

X230 Access Connection does not Displaying

My Notebook is Thinkpad x230 and the Lenovo Access Connection versio is v6.1.
I have similar issues with this link Access Connections (5.84) opens with no window displayed (Win 7) but I cound not find a clear answer.
Please assist Lenovo.

Very strange behaviour...
I had one version but it seems doesn't work as you said you can't open even ThinkVantage Tools window (not ThinkVantage Toolbox!) from "Start->"All Programs" menu. Isn't it?
If the OS is apdated too my advice is to delete Lenovo Hotkey Features package firstly as it consists some system tools, then reinstall it using TVSU (note you'll can't use the wireless adapters at this time) and check out the behaviour.
If it'll not help delete all Lenovo applications except of the part of them - Hotkey Features, Rescue&Recovery (did you test it?), ThinkVantage System Update. Then reinstall PM Driver and at least one-two application which didn't work previously.

Connection Time being displayed next to the wifi icon

i hate it.....and do not need to know how long im connected to a router. but i can not find anywhere how to turn this off. I do not know if this is something caused by the macbook pro or TimeCapsul...as i just bought both on the same day last week.

It shows when you are connected using PPPoE. Click on the Airport Icon in the menu bar then hold your mouse over your Airport connection. A submenu should pop up. There will be a check mark next to "Show time connected." Select that line it to toggle the setting off.

Why are times not displayed in Monthly view of iCalendar?

After the last update, the times for events in the monthly view in Calendar are no longer displayed? I have checked preferences and cannot find how to get this back. It did before and I used it for my office for appointments and I need the times displayed. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Try making the window a little bigger. I think it truncates time for space. I see time on mine.

Access Connections does not display available WiFi Networks

When I click find, Access Connections only shows the network it is connected to, but not all available networks. I removed and reinstalled it and it worked for 1-2 days, but the problem came back. When you manually set up a Location Profile and you click find networks, it find's them, but on the main Access Connections page it doesn't show them.

The latest version of Access Connections 5.50 is available for download here http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-73682 and it fixed the problem for me.

SMB Users Time Connected is 00:00

We have Mac OS X Server 10.6 running as a PDC with windows users logging into roaming profiles. Everything works great on the server but when looking at the SMB connections the time connected always displays 00:00. This is only for SMB clients. AFP clients show actual connection times.
This has been an issue with XP clients for a long time in the various installations I have implemented. I can't believe that Apple has included this apparent functionality for server server versions now but has left it broken. Can anyone tell me if this feature actually works?
And if it does, am I doing something wrong to always wind up with SMB connection times of 00:00?

We are having this same issue. I've seen this in many implementations of OS X Server running SMB services. Can anyone shed any light on this? Can anyone confirm one way or the other?
In Fact, I have never seen an implementation of OX X Server using SMB services where the time the clients have been connected is anything but 00.00. And this has been the case over many versions of OS X Server. If it doesn't work, why even have the field there.

EA2 Connections are not saved

When I migrate my connections from a previous version of SQL Developer these connections will not be saved.
In the command window I get following messages:
WARNING: Unknown directive: SetSkipJ2SDKCheck
(this message is always displayed in the cmd window when I start SQL Developer)
During import of the connections following messages are displayed in the command window:

This is clearly printed in bold in the release notes, dude!
People are free to do as they want, but if you don't follow the guidelines, don't come complaining afterwards either...

I have checked that the firmware has been updated to 7.6.4 . Similalrly the Win8.1 machine has been loaded with the update specified in another discussion.

Firstly how are you connecting to the TC.. wireless or ethernet?
Please open a command window and ping it.. ping by name and by IP address.
If ping succeeds at least by IP it should work.
In windows explorer type
\\10.0.1.1 (or whatever the TC ip is.. that is the default).
Having the airport utility for windows loaded can help the process. As it loads bonjour for windows.
7.6.4 firmware on the TC is useless. It works better on 7.6.1
If the ping does not succeed by either name or IP address yet you have internet through the TC, then your network is setup wrongly. You are have firewalls blocking local IP. Take down all the firewalls.

Bi Dashboards issue works properly some times and after not display pointers data and give un expected error and throw login window

I have toff situation where we deployed bi dashboards in our site and it works some time and some times not,
and some times it keep loading and throw a login window.
works when
we restart performance point service and if not work
we re create secure store service and generated new key and create new pps service application
before that we stopped secure store and pps service using c.a in application server
we are using ssas for datasource to connect from dashboard designer
we have seperate server for ssas dbs
seperate application server running: pps service and secure store service
two web front ends: one of running secure store
1 Domain controller + central admin service running
some times after 4 -5 hours bi dashboards works , we dashboards not display data and throw un expected errors,
also when we try to connect using a dashboard designer from a seperate client machine in same domain ,we have same issue , we unable to connect to ssas datasource server, and if connect some times unable to deploy dashboards.
we tried every thin icreased server time out values in ssas server

Other times the Wi-Fi connection works fine and it check e-mail or other within few seconds. The connection problems seems to be intermitted
This issue never happened before with IOS 5 since I bought the new phone in Oct 2011.

We suffered the imap.gmail.com server problem After an IoS 6 upgrade. The simple solution is to delete the problem account, shut down the iPad, start up again and reenter the account. Everything comes back normally. Good Luck everyone!

64-Bit DSNs are not displaying in SSIS connection manager

Hi Team,
I came across an issue while working with 64-Bit SQL Server 2012 version. We installed 64-Bit SQL Server 2012 version on a 64-Bit Windows Server 2012 machine. I created two 'System DSNs' under 64-Bit ODBC driver those are for 'IBM iSeries access ODBC driver'
and 'SQL Server Native client 11.0'.
I was using ADO.Net source to use these DSNs in an SSIS package in BIDS. But these System DSNs are not displaying from the data source drop down list in the connection manager.
Can somebody help me out how i can use 64-Bit System DSN while executing the packages?

Visual Studio is a 32 bit software so you wouldnt be able to see and use 64 bit DSN, if you want to see them you would have to install the corresponding 32 bit drivers, else complete your development on a diff box and then bring your packages to the 64 bit

That said the SSIS runitme can still utlize both the 64 bit an 32 bit run time by the means of how its executued i.e. dtexec from the progamm files or programmfiles(x86) folder

Downgrade firmware to 7.6.1 .. as the latest is just lousy.
It is easy to downgrade.. hold down the option key whilst you click the version number. in Macs.. lots of stuff is hidden behind an option key.
I also strongly recommend a factory reset and use all SMB names.. not apple type names..
ie TC name.. TCgen4
Wireless name TCwifi (or give names to both bands.. TC24ghz and TC5ghz).
That helps all the non-apple part of the world.. connect.
Also Mavericks has now changed over to SMB as well. So even Mac is now windows networking.
Generally these two things. .7.6.1 firmware and SMB names will fix it.. if not post again as is another step that is possible.. controlling the WAN speed of the TC.
