SMB Incorrect Timestamp (1 hour shift)

I receive difficulties when i mount my desktops homedir(running 10.4.8/PPC) by windows sharing(smb)
The Modificationtime is off by an hour.
Finder on Desktop:
Matlabskriptum.pdf 18:52
Finder on Remote Machine mounting the share: Matlabskriptum.pdf 19:52
Windows Explorer:
Matlabskriptum.pdf 19:52
Linux shell:
Matlabskriptum.pdf 19:52
/etc/localtime links to /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Vienna
the TZ variable is empty

Not sure what you are trying to do. If you are using some shell tool like rsync you should be aware that Windows file modtimes are not compatible with any *nix system. rsync has a --size option which sort of overcomes this incompatibility.

  • FlashPlayer send incorrect timestamps to FMS

When I publish live audio/video via NetStream in some cases flash player starts to send incorrect timestamps.
    How to reproduce:
    1 Start live audio/video stream. Wait for 10 seconds (video/audio timestamps - goes from 0 to 10)
2 Detach camera from NetStream (turn off video) and continue to publish audio for 60 seconds (video timestamps 10, audio timestamps - from 10 to 70)
3 Turn off audio (mute or just be quiet) for 10 seconds (timestamps don't change)
4 Turn on video (attach camera to NetStream again) for 10 seconds (video timestamps go crazy and jump to 140)
5 Turn on audio - HERE video will be frozen because audio timestamps overtakes video timestamps from 90 to 140. Before audio timestamps reach 140 - video timestamps will be 0 and video is frozen.

  • A Verizon cellphone tower in my area is feeding multiple Verizon Customers / Devices with the incorrect time (one hour behind) when we are in range of this tower

A Verizon cellphone tower in my area is feeding multiple Verizon Customers / Devices with the incorrect time (one hour behind) when we are in range of this tower (in this specific area).   Our phones show the correct time in other areas.   Is there a way to fix or report this?

The zip code that this is occurring in is: 87102
    Specifically when I am at
    1001 Woodward Pl NE
    Albuquerque, NM 87102
Upon further investigation, it is happening to anyone with a Verizon handset, regardless of specific device.  I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and my co-worker has a Motorola Droid Turbo and we are both having the issue.  Anyone on a different carrier (T-Mobile, AT&T) is fine, and is not experiencing this issue.
It actually looks like the cell tower is feeding us the correct time, but its like it forgot daylight savings happened.  So it is feeding us the incorrect time zone/day light savings information.
When I goto Settings -> Date and Time on my Android device,  I have both "Automatic date and time" and "Automatic time zone" checked.
the "Automatic timezone" it is pulling from the Verizon cell tower is "Mountain -7".   It is correct that we are in the "Mountain" timezone, but we are currently "Mountain -6" (also known as day light savings).   So the Cell Tower things it MST when it should be MST DST
When I uncheck "Automatic time zone" and select my own, suddenly it lets me select "Mountain -6" and doesn't even give me the option of "Mountain -7".
So in conclusion, some cell tower in the area of zip code 87102 forgot that daylight savings ever happened, and is telling cellphones they are in the "Mountain -7" timezone, instead of the correct current timezone of "Mountain -6 DST"
Edit: Oh, sorry, and to answer your question, it began happening about 3 weeks ago.  We started noticing around March 25th, maybe a little after that.

    xp20:format-dateTime(../../DocumentHeader/EffectiveDate,'[Y0001]-[M01]-[D01] [h]:[m01]:[s01]')
    xp20:format-dateTime(../../DocumentHeader/EffectiveDate,'[Y0001]-[M01]-[D01]')
Any idea how to convert Date to date format given error?

    Hi,
I'm guessing the problem is not with the format, but with the input date...
What content is coming in your EffectiveDate tag?
It should be something like this...
    <EffectiveDate>2012-08-06T12:11:01Z</EffectiveDate>
If the date format is not in ISO 8601, the XPath function won't work...
    Cheers,

I Have the same issue on a brand new iPad mini 2. My battery is only lasting up to 5 hours. I went on chat with Apple last night and they said my battery is fine and its a Safari issue. I'm literally losing 1% every 3-4 minutes. I tried recalibrating my battery, signing out of iCloud, shutting off all locations, turning off background app refresh, restoring network settings, restoring all, and finally restoring from iTunes with no luck. This is just awful. I got this iPad so I could use it on my long flight for a trip I have coming up, and unfortunately, it's not going to last that long, plus I'm concerned about how many times i will be recharging my battery because of this since battery's do have a life cycle dependent on the number of charges. This is frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP and addressed by Apple.
By the way, Apple told me to bring my device to the Apple Store because it's still under warranty. That's great and all, but I'm going to waste my time if there is no fix for this issue.
Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

  • ICal events are incorrect by one hour

I am using the Google Calendar and have an issue with the transfer of data from IPhone 3Gs to my IMac. If I place an event time on the Iphone calendar, this event gets transferred incorrectly to the IMac by one hour earlier. My IPad calendar transfers the timed event correctly to the IMac, but incorrectly to the IPhone. When going from IPad to IPhone the time on the IPhone is one hour later than it should be. The net result is a very confusing Calendar.

Today I created (3) All Day Events on my iPhone 4S to represent upcoming vacation days for Nov 21, 22, and 23. After sync, Outlook shows correct All-day events for 21 and 22. The All-day event for 23 is missing and displayed on Nov 24. This is a direct sync (wireless) and no Exchange server is involved. Any ideas? I see similar posts that go back to last year and iOS4. I would at least like to know if Apple is aware of this, or is it just my phone.

  • IPhoto automatically resets photo timestamp one hour forward

Since the reversion to Standard Time last night I notice now that my iPhoto exhibits peculiar behavior when I attempt to set the "time" field for a photo. No matter what time I enter, iPhoto changes my entry and displays that time plus one hour. For example, if I set the "time" field to "10:47:03", iPhoto displays "11:47:03".
Is iPhoto storing the time I entered or the "corrected" time? If as a workaround I enter the correct time minus one hour and thereby see the correct time displayed, will the time displayed be shifted back one hour upon reversion to Daylight Time next spring?
Is this a known bug or can I take action to fix iPhoto?
    Thanks.
    iPhoto version: 8.1.2 (424)
    OS X version: 10.6.4 (10F569)
I have my system clock set to synch with time.apple.com, and it was properly set back one hour last night. I have also rebooted my computer since the switch to Standard Time from Daylight Time.

Try deleting the Delete iPhoto Pref File
iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

  • Incorrect TimeStamp in Generic Delta (UTC Issue)

    Hi,
I have a problem regarding a generic delta extractor. The pointer stored in rsa7 (ROOSGENDLM table) is not UTC but system time. As standard tables store the timestamp using UTC format the delta extractor is not picking up the correct data.
Do you know a solution for this?

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. However I think that unfortunately this solution is not enough
    For example:
I execute a delta. My TimeStamp is registered as UTC +2: 20080612160000. (Here I have the error, it should be in UTC)
Now I modify a record in R3 and it is registered with timestamp UTC: 20080612140000.
If I execute a delta it will take all the records higher than 20080612160000. Therefore my modification will never be uploaded.

  • Incorrect timestamp to string conversions?

Why does this code give different times when the UTC format? input changes?  The FieldPoint controller

string formatted with UTC format? True is correct.
    Thanks.

  • Incorrect timestamp on logs exported to Excel

Exporting logged data to Excel loses the original timestamp.  The time in the Excel file is the system time at which the Excel file was created.  The entry in the spreadsheet for time X0 is just 0.  The original log file (within SignalExpress) has the correct starting time for the data but that time doesn't seem to get passed to Excel.  I have the timestam option set to 'Absolute'
    Thanks,
    Dave Detty

    Hi Dave,
I've been able to track down the issue, and I filed a bug report to have it fixed.
It also looks like the date and time should be that of the timestamp of the first signal, and the X0 is designed to be the offset of each signal in the file from the Date and Time; which is really only useful when there are multiple signals in 1 file.
I wasn't able to find a workaround for this. I'm very sorry...

  • Voicemail Displays incorrect timestamp

Normally, my online number's voicemail works fine...but occasionally it displays the wrong timestamp.  This is a serious problem for us, as some of our customers leave messages that say that they need a delivery "tomorrow."*

Sounds like you should go through http://support.skype.com/ and file a request there. If you have a subscription, you may be able to do more than file a request - you may have the option to have a real-time keyboard chat with someone.
BTW if you are truly losing that much money per client your business loses and you can't get Skype's voicemail to work like you want, it would be highly advisable to find some other mechanism for voicemail.  Maybe even a mobile phone just for this purpose.  Depending on how you obtain that voicemail, you could set up your Skype account to forward unanswered calls to that voicemail.  If you have a subscription that covers calling to the number for that voicemail, you would not be billed by Skype for the forwarded calls.   It would certainly be cheaper than losing a fraction of that $15000/year for just one lost client.
I don't know where you are, so I can't offer specifics on pricing for that.  I'm in the US.  Along with my Skype account, I forward unanswered Skype calls to a mobile number here in the States.  The costs for calling the US mobile number are covered by my US$ 7.99/month Unlimited North America subscription (I also call Mexico), but the US$ 2.99/month Unlimited USA & Canada subscription would be more than enough to cover the costs of forwarded calls.  And if I'm not logged into Skype, I can simply answer the incoming Skype calls - including those from my online numbers - on the mobile.  I have an "unlimited talk/text/data" plan on my mobile phone, so there are no additional charges from the mobile carrier to receive those forwarded Skype calls.
    Good luck!

  • WP8 calendar incorrectly shifts entries by 1 hour during DST

The default calendar app is broken when it comes to handling daylight saving with Google calendar. See here for more details and history

I've actually reported the problem on Nokia forums, the WP Twitter support, online chat, phone support, community forums but none of these seem to be officially monitored by Microsoft (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphone/forum/wp8-wpemail/how-to-file-bug-reports-with-microsoft/e573bc4a-5762-42d1-b356-273352a46ee2).
The following blog post gives me some hope that the issue will finally reach relevant people as this new forum is supposedly monitored by Microsoft

According to increasing number of comments to the first link the problem is spreading fast among WP users. I've just found someone had opened an issue on uservoice
    http://windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions/suggestions/3378048-please-fix-the-daylight-savings-function

    Hello everyone,
We're still looking for a cause for the issue, but here is what we know:
    The observed hour shift is
not a configuration issue that can be resolved either on the phone or on your Google Calendar settings.
The event does not shift until the phone syncs via CalDAV with the Google server for customers in certain time zones (observed in UTC+2).
The shift does not occur if the phone does not have connectivity (WiFi or Cellular).
Based on this info, my investigation is focused on why synced events are receiving an updated event from the Google server with a one hour difference from the intended time.
From what I can observe, the phone sets the event's time correctly, then syncs with Google's server. We see the issue after this process.
The issue was previously resolvable by changing sync type to EAS via Google Sync. Windows Phone users can continue to set up new device connections with Google Sync until December 31, 2013.

  • Push email timestamp is 5 hours behind

I am on EST time in the US, and if I send an email to my Yahoo mail, the timestamp will be 5 hours behind when i check my yahoo push mail on my N8.
When i check my Yahoo mail on my computer, the timestamp is correct.
So, it seems that the Nokia push mail servers are setting this incorrect timestamp, most likely because they are in a different time zone which is 5 hours off my my local time, and setting the incorrect timestamp when they are pulling mail frommy Yahoo account.
Is there any way to fix this?

  • Server Utilization report (for processor) for business hour is incorrect

    Hi,
We are using SCOM 2012 SP1 UR3 in our environment.
Recently got a query from one of the team that the processor utilization report is incorrect for business hours.
First I pulled a SCOM report (Performance by Utilization) for business hours say 1st Feb to 15th Feb processor.
Then I pulled a Raw report from SQL DW targetting % Processor time , exported it to excel & filtered it for the same duration which gave an average value of 86% for processor.
Finally, also pulled the same data from default report (Operating System Performance) under Windows Server 2008 Operating System which also gave me an average value of 86%.
To summarize Performance by Utilization  does not calculate the accurate business hours & needs to be corrected.

Quick question about system time and timestamp inconsistency.
I used the following program to generate analog output (with duty cycle) but as i am outputting, it give me the time of 12/31/1903 at 16:00.
I checked and reset the system time and it made no difference.  please advise,

    Hello,
The square waveform generator VI that is producing the waveform doesn't use system time as its basis, and that appears to be where the issue lies.  By default, the output waveform will be aligned to a t0 (initial time) of 0, since the waveform time stamp in this case is relative to the start of the program.  To align the time with the current system time, all you need to do is use the Align Waveform Timestamps VI to shift the t0 value of the generated waveform to match the current time.  I've attached an example (aligntimes.vi)  built in LabVIEW 7.1.1 that demonstrates - you should be able to adapt it very easily to fit your needs.
