SMC 3.6 Web console login - Connection refused
Hi Folks,
I have recently installed SMC 3.6 on a Solaris 5.8 machine with Sun Blade 100 platform. The installation and setup were completed successfully and the web server was started without any hiccups. But when I enter my username and password, it throws the error connection refused. The user name that I am using is included in /var/opt/SUNWsymon/cfg/es-users file.
Thanks in advance.
Please note that the user you create must be an actual UNIX user. To add a user:
# useradd anilhs
# passwd anilhs
You may also want to add the anilhs user to the various Sun MC groups in /etc/group:
For example, for admin priviledges:
esadm::root,anilhs
esdomadm::root,anilhs
If further problems persist, can you create an esmaster Unix user and try logging in using "esmaster". It is the default super user account for Sun MC.
cheers,
bobby

Web Browser Management Connection Refused
Since upgrading from my old Panther PowerBook to my new Tiger one, I have lost the ability to manage my Netgear router and my HP network printer via Safari. Strangely, my Netgear router at home actually works better (I used to have to go back into OS9 to change settings as Panther didn't work at all), but the devices on the corporate network at work don't seem to like Tiger. I get this message:
(111) Connection refused
I don't really now how to troubleshoot this...
Oh, and it's the same with other people's Tiger Macs - and from 10.4.3ish on.
Thanks!I don't think it can be that simple because it is consistent across more than one machine and it doesn't work from Firefox either (just checked that).
I think it must be to do with being on the corporate network, so I need to know what might have changed in the Mac OS that would cause this issue. I recently lost the ability to access the Exchange server, which turned out to be due to a change in Mail's SOCKS access under 10.4.7 (fine under 10.4.6). Something similarly obscure (to me) could be causing this other issue, but I've no idea what... -
No application showing in planning web & can't connect to admin console
Hi,
Planning web screen showing 'No aApplication available" even though I worked with planning application yesterday also and after that I am sure nobody have deleted that application. Also I can't login into essbase admin console as it is showing "cannot connect to administration server" though I have checked in services console that hyperion administration services is running.
One exception I got is shared services is not running. So I started that but after some time automatically went to stopped mode. Then I stopped all the services and restart the server and restart the services sequentially---- no hope. Same problem still there.
Can you please suggest how to solve the aforesaid?
Thanks & Regards.Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I have tried that but still the same error having in admin console. I have not craeted/modified anything in planning cluster in last some days. The problem is that all services is started properly except 'shared services' service. When I go to start that it is starting and showing started but after some time, automatically stopped. I also tried the following-----
1) Stopped all the other services except OpenLDAP
2) then started the shared services from start-> run-> hyperion-> foundation services-> start shared services
and got the error like---
Driver][Oracle]ORA-12505 Connection refused, the specified SID (xxxxx) was no
recognized by the Oracle server.

Don't know what is happening....Any idea about the same? How could the problem be solved?
OR should I reinstall hyperion afresh.....

Web console, "Connection to R/3 Broken"
Hello all,
I've installed Web Console on IIS, Win2k3 server, and I'm unable to connect to my ERP system.
The message displayed reads, "connection to r/3 broken" in plain text.
I've seen a couple of threads here and there, but none post a resolution.
Some background:
I'm reasonably sure I've included everything, I need to. I've allowed ALL Unknown ISAPI Extensions, made an entry for my system.
Also, it seems note 910901is no longer in service. Let's see if Klaus posts about that noteWell, I put in the resolution for one of my systems in the post directly above yours.
The entry was missing in the SAP Login Pad on the host. I have a 2nd server set up identical to the first, and this did not resolve the error there.
Seems theres a couple of common fixes.
1) Make sure you are allowing all api extensions on the host
=>Start=>programs=>IIS Administrator=>allow all extensions
2) Make sure your sap gateway parameters are set high enough to allow all traffice. The default is 200. If you're experiencing sporadic problems, this might be it. Often, in other threads like this, people have mentioned that rebooting fixes their issues. This would fix it w/o having to reboot.
3) Make sure the SAPGUI is populated with all the systems you're attempting to connect with >on the host<.
That's all I have I'm afraid. -

Web console doesn't accept login
I am having some problem logging into the web console on one of my Solaris 10 8/07 machines. The web console is online, and showing no errors in any of it's (or the system's) log files. However, when I try to use the root username and password to log in, it tells me the password is not correct. The same root username and password work for logging in at the console. Has anyone seen this problem before?
I have patched the machine with all the latest patches available as of April 16th/08....uname -a shows 127112-11
This machine has N1 System Manager installed on it as well.
Thanks in advance,It seems as if the console login is working fine. I can log in from both the console and via SSH as root. The problem I am having is that the Sun Java Web Console installed on this machine does not seem to be linked with system authentication ( I can't log in as root, though I can on my other Solaris 10 8/07 boxes ).
The Java Web Console is a standard part of Solaris installation (well, "Entire System" cluster, at least), and is accessed via https://localhost:6789/ -

Unable to Login to Middleware (Web Console)
Hi all,
I am able to login to the back-end SAP-Gui as well as synchonise with MI client with the created User ID and password having all appropriate authorizations.
But unfortunately i am unable to login to the web console through this user ID and password, it gives the error message "User name or password incorrect".
Kindly help me out.
Regards,
AbhishekHi Nameeta,
Thanks for the reply.
I have already given authorisation for the transaction object S_TCODE.
The problem is now solved as i was giving wrong system name.

Can't connect to console - connection refused
I have a relatively recent install of ovm - everything was working fine for about a month. Now, when I try to launch the console on oracle VM manager I a few windows pop up (including vnc viewer) and then they go away. I turned on java debugging and found that I'm getting a connection refused error. Any idea how this could happen or how to resolve it? I don't understand enough about what its trying to do to know where to begin my troubleshooting.
Thanks!!
