Service Processor on X4100 and 4200
How can I send order from inside solaris 10 to the Service Processor on the X4100 and 4200 ?
We use the serial consol to log messages from the system (helpful for crash or panic), but with the X4100 or 4200 the service processor manage the serial link and we have to do 'login' and start /SP/console to get solaris 10 console.
I would like to automatically start the console from inside solaris if it's not started or to configure the SP in console automatically after a power-on.
ThanksThanks, I granted the user with permission sysadmin, but still I am facing the problem.
Let me download SP3 and SP4, if that could solve my problem.
Hello,
Please refer to below blog,See workaround mentioned in below blog.I am quite sure this would be fixed in SP3 or SP4 but first please apply this workaround and then install SP4.

Question about SMC agent port binding on a system with IP multipathing
Hi All, I hope this is the correct forum
I have recently upgraded a server to from Solaris 8 to Solaris 9 and SMC version 3 to version 3.5 update1 and have been able to configure the agent to bind to the loopback interface.
Originally on the Solaris 8 system with IP multipathing and SMC version 3 we had the following configuration in the domain-config.x file, and when agent was started it would bind to the localhost:
agent = {
snmpPort = "20161"
lsof output:
esd 804 root 10u IPv4 0x30002e233d0 0t0 UDP *:20161 (Idle)
Now since the upgrade of the server and installation of SMC we are seeing that the agent now binds to all the IP address configured on the server, I have tried setting the agentServer to localhost or 127.0.0.1 but SMC agent will not start. Also have tried changing/removing the logicalAddressMode setting but with no luck agent still binds to all IP address.
lsof output:
esd 267 root 10u IPv4 0x300073afcb8 0t0 UDP hostname-eri0:20161 (Idle)
esd 267 root 11u IPv4 0x30003d30968 0t0 UDP hostname:20161 (Idle)
esd 267 root 12u IPv4 0x300073364a8 0t0 UDP hostname-eri1:20161 (Idle)
agent = {
agentServer = "hostname"
logicalAddressMode = "ip"
snmpPort = "20161"
I have tried finding documentation on the domain-config.x file but have only found references to existing examples not a document covering all the possible varibles and what they mean.
Thanks for any assistanceI got an idea:
In the Subscriber Profile, in the "messages" section. You can try and add:
- where it says "x" use the actual extension of the the subscriber mailbox + the MWI code. 5555*72
Just to see if it turns it on..... maybe?? Otherwise I don't know if Unity is going to be able to distinguish what is a Cisco phone and what is an Avaya phone. The UTIM is the piece that is supposed to seperate the two systems. But what you are doing is joining them together via the CCM. Which you have working, but MWI is going to be tricky.
This is where the PBXlink would come in handy. You would install this onto the Unity box. Then change your Avaya subscriber from CCM integration to the PBXlink integration. Calls can still come in from CCM, but MWI signals will go out the PBXlink.
If you notice in the Subscriber profile, you can assign subscribers to different Integrations. This plays a huge part in MWI. I think what you are trying is a great stab at it... but I think you may be chasing your tail on this one with the MWI.
On the CallManager side, what happens when you dial an Avaya phone? Do you have a route or translation pattern setup? Because if there was a way to translate this example:
ext 4455 gets a new voicemail
Unity dials 4455 to CCM with MWI on code xxxx
CCM would translate and route this pattern as 4455 *72 to the Avaya switch. Avaya switch should turn on the light.
So basically, CCM is pushing the 4455 through the CAS T1, then add *72 to it as a translation from 4455 xxxx (xxxx being your callmanager MWI on code)
It's a stab in the dark... but that's the only, if it would work I can think off without the PBXlink.
good luck! -

I'm not sure but since it's saying there's a library issue, you could try running:
# ldconfig
Failing that you could try a:
# pacman -Rns slim
# pacman -Syu slim
I tried both "ldconfig" and "pacman -XXX", but the problem is still there.
Maybe I need use another way to recompile slim in my machine.
But I have no time to test it now, I will try it another day.

It autodetects OS type and will install Solaris packages or RPMs as appropriate.

Apologies if this question is in the wrong forum, although I believe it is a hardware related issue.
My issue relates to the Service Processor on a v20z. Basically, it seems to reset itself every few minutes and will not retain any information at all, which intern has caused the fans to stay on at 100%, all the time now, which is concerning. Once on it says "Main power off". The SP will then reset itself not long after.
This started when I decided to rebuild one of our V20z servers, as Solaris 10 did not like the raid card when in it's early versions. Anyway, I have successfully installed the latest Solaris 10 build, 1/06 X86 (of course seeing the Athlon cpu's). After this I felt the need to get console working properly, as it was not before. I changed the eeprom as documented with the input and output pointing to the console.
At this point I decided I should get the Service Processor working, as I had not read anything about it previously. I managed to manually assign it an ip address, which it kept. I then had to reboot the server for other reasons, and the SP would not keep its IP details. It will not even obtain one via dhcp, comes up with "Service Error on set IP DHCP".
I have tried updating the bios etc, by manually entering in the information on the lcd screen, however have had to such luck either. I have a funny feeling I have broken something as there does not appear to be anyone with the same type of issues. From everything I have read everyone else seems to have no issues at all. Some advice would be greatly appreciated, as I've been tearing my hair out for a few days now over it.
Many Thanks
SimonIt's ok I figured it out. Embarasingly simple really
eeprom output-device=ttya
eeprom input-device=ttya
This is awesome, just look at this. I'm twenty miles from the server booted in single user mode.
Yes, more sleep time for me less late nights at the office. Sorry if this is old hat to you guys, It's the first time I've seen it on any servers I've owned.

Pity I couldn't Install solaris 9 on the v20z's from the CDs in the first place though (I needed to install from an install server). -
Before I call Sun, I thought I'd ask here:
I have a brand new SunFire v20z that I am trying to manage remotely. I had no problem getting the service processor set up and connecting to it, and I was able to access it for several days. It worked fine.
Then I went away for a few days, and when I returned, the SP had very slow response, and randomly started hanging up on me and killing the running command. I thinbk
bash-2.03$ ssh -l spuser 10.0.0.7
spuser@10.0.0.7's password:

Version: V2.0.0.48
localhost $ help
help: not found
localhost $ platform help<br />Killed<br />localhost $ sp help
Connection to 10.0.0.7 closed.
What made the SP so sick? Any ideas? TIA
JeremiahI had this on a V20z. It seemed to start intermittently a few days ago but this evening it was doing it consistently. It was doing it when trying to use SP commands 'platform console' and 'sp get events', though 'sp reboot' did work and thankfully seems to have cleared the problem.
The SP reboot was necessary as a last resort because I had some planned work to do in an agreed outage and needed to boot the server a few times, so needed proper console access, i.e. I needed to sort out the SP problem to allow console access which we reach via the SP. -

ODI 11g does not have any feature to run agent as windows service.
There is only one Agent “mode” in ODI 11g, which is similar to the SchedulerAgent in ODI 10g .
ODI11g relies on OPMN to run agents as “services”
The odi_opmn_addagent.bat and odi_opmn_deleteagent.bat should help to declare the agent to OPMN

Scheduler Agent Installed as Service Encrypted Password Change
All,
We have a Scheduler Agent installed as a service in Windows Server 2003, SP2. We want to change the password of the Master Repository. When I change the ODI_SECU_ENCODED_PASS in the odiparams.bat file it doesn't reflect this change in the service. I tried looking around in the snpsagent.conf wrapper file to see if the password is stored anywhere but dont' see it. I see it references a file called snpparams.bat, unfortunately I cannot find this file on our machine. If anyone knows how to get the new password to take effect without having to drop the agent and recreate it, thus losing all schedules that we've created, I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks in Advance,
JoshHi Josh,
the snpparamens.bat is exactly the same of odiparameter.bat. It had this name when the software was Sunopsis (SNP). Probably you saw the reference at some old document...
If you drop the service nothing will be loose, just recreate it to get the new parameters. The scheduling list is stored, as everything in the ODI, at the repository, it means that all scheduling orders are at tables. Because of that you need to made a "update scheduler" when create a new scheduling.
If you are still afraid, just create a new agent at another port (as service) and change the logical agent to it. Update the scheduller list an take a look if everthing is OK.
After that you can drop the old service.
Does it make any sense to you? -
Agent Determination for Service Entry (BO-BUS2091)
HI,
I am new to workflow and facing below issue.
I have created a workflow for Service entry sheet approval (BO- BUS2901) and I am having an issue with the agent determination. I am using my own Ztable to determine the possible agents.
I am using the following code in the FM of the rule I created for determining the agent:
FUNCTION ZME_SRV_REL_GET_RESPONSIBLE.
*"*"Local Interface:
*" TABLES
*" ACTOR_TAB STRUCTURE SWHACTOR
*" AC_CONTAINER STRUCTURE SWCONT
*" EXCEPTIONS
*" NOBODY_FOUND
INCLUDE <cntain>.
TABLES: essr_rel, essr,zmm_service_mail.
DATA: object TYPE swc_object.
DATA: BEGIN OF essrkey,
lblni LIKE essr-lblni,
END OF essrkey.
DATA: verak_user TYPE csks-verak_user.
REFRESH actor_tab.
CLEAR actor_tab.
swc_get_element ac_container 'service' object.
if sy-subrc eq space.
essrkey-lblni = object-objkey(10).
select single * from essr where lblni = essrkey-lblni.
select single * from zmm_service_mail
where frggr = essr-frggr
and frgsx = essr-frgsx.
if essr-frgzu eq ' '.
verak_user = zmm_service_mail-pernr1.
elseif essr-frgzu eq 'x'.
verak_user = zmm_service_mail-pernr2.
endif.
actor_tab-otype = 'us'.
actor_tab-objid = verak_user.
append actor_tab.
endif.
ENDFUNCTION.
When I debug, sy-subrc = 8 at swc_get_element ac_container 'service' object.
What could be the problem?
Note- I have gone thru below thread but still I am unable to find the error.
http://scn.sap.com/thread/2017416Hi,
You should re-read the thread that you quoted above. The mighty Sue Keohan suggested a solution.
Instead of trying to pass a service *object*, and then extracting the key, you can just pass the key itself. It has type EESSR-LBLN1.
swc_get_element ac_container 'service_key' lv_service_key.
if sy-subrc eq 0.
essrkey-lblni = lv_service_key.
(etc)
cheers

Agent Determination for Service Entry

Hi ,
In SCOM 2012 R2 console if i look at all of my agent managed servers have agent builds of 7.1.10184 but my two service manager servers have agent builds of 6.1.7221.49
Can anyone let me know is this known issue or how can we upgrade the agent to correct version.
Thanks in advance
BharathHi,
SCOM and SCSM are built on the same structure, Management Servers and DAta Warehouse etc. This means that when you install the SCSM Management Server, the Microsoft Monitoring Agent is also installed. When
you want to monitor Service Manager and the server it´s installed on, you need to configure the SCOM parameters from the control panel at the SCSM management server.
If you were to try and install the SCOM agent at the SCSM server, it would fail and tell you that you can´t install the agent on a server where Service Manager is installed. The agent will be upgraded when
you upgrade Service Manager so this is all expected and It´s as it should be :)
