Smd channels model.pnl

I am trying to edit a file in indesign which is formatted for cs5 and has a plugin called smd channels model.pnl which I don't have. I am using cs5 and need this plugin to edit this file. How can I get it?

This is probably related to VDP software used by a printer, perhaps an HP Indigo, from waht I can find googling.
You say you need it to edit the file. Is that true? Most likely you don't and Salah's advice will strip it from the file and allow you to open without an error message. If you really need it to edit the file, though, you'll have to find out where it came from and install it.

  • Using InDesign CS5.5 and am missing SMD Channels Model.sdk.IndesignPlugin

I am a designer and I am proofing the magazine a printer sent back to me and I can't open his file because it says I am missing SMD Channels Model.sdk.IndesignPlugin and strongly advises me not to open it.
Is there a way to download this plugin or have the printer send an IDML file instead?

Ask in the ID forum. On a general note, though, warnings about missing plug-ins mean that the file was created and saved in a newer version of the program and thus cannot be opened. You will have to work out that part or indeed use IDML.

  • SMD Channels model.sdk indesign plug inl.sdk indesign

I am trying to open up InDesign CC and it comes up with that I don;t have - SMD Channels model.sdk indesign plug in - does anyone know where to get it from???? help

Hi, thanks for this, tried that but it still won't open - comes up Indesign quit unexpectedly and then pages of text.  Tried to open idml file in Indesign CS5, saved it as idml from CC but crashed when trying to open it in CC.  I get the spinning will of death when I try and open the document in Indesign CC - and in the force quit applications - InDesign (not responding). Have uninstalled and installed the software too.  Any other suggestions - thanks

  • Missing  SMD Channel Model.sdk.InDesign Plugin

    Hello everybody!
I got an InDesign file from a print office today. When I try to open it, I get a message that advises me to not open the file because the SMD Channel.sdk.InDesign Plugin isn't available on my system.
Like a good girl I googled the problem and yes there are already some posts about that problem. Also in this forum there's already an existing discussion about it: Link InDesign Discussion
But for the solutions they offer I should open the document but I simply can't. Because when I press "OK" only
another warning appears that says that I can't open the document and that I should update my modules or  update to the current verison
of InDesign. When I press "OK" again nothing further happens. (Pictures below)
    Operating System: Windows Vista
    InDesign Version: CS 5
Sorry that the screenshots are in german. I hope you can use them anyway.
Thanks for your help! -- Jannie

    Hi Jannie,
This is not a big issue, it seems that the document you are using was created from a later version of InDesign than the one you are using to open it. Since you are using CS5 the document is probably created using CS5.5 or CS6, and you cannot open a doc of later version in a previous version of InDesign for obvious reasons.
And for the reason this problem(your first screenshot) occurs is that every plugin in InDesign can save some persistent data on the document and if it does so then whenver you open such a document and the plugin is not loaded then this prompt occurs. However if the developer coding the plugin has some foresight he can avoid such alerts to the user by using Ignoretags resource in the plugin code.
Hope my explanation cleared out the confusions you had on this behavior of InDesign
    Thanks

  • How do I install and/or activate the "Channels Model.InDesignPlugin" for InDesign CC 2014?

I need to package my files today for an online class using InDesign CC 2014 and I keep getting this error message:
Where and how do I either install or activate this plugin?
Thank you for any help provided on this matter.

    Hi, Larry
Thanks for responding. Yes: I have tried  both ways: First to Save file, then Export to .idml, then reopen to package while inside InDesign  -and- as Save file, Export to .idml, Save, Close file, then Reopen as .idml, to package. I also tried a straight out export to PDF and all I get is a blank page with registration, bleed, and crop marks.
Very weird and frustrating. I checked my Extensions Manager just to make sure I didn't miss anything or if I could activate it from there. Channels Model.InDesignPlugin or anything resembling that does not exist. I have been searching on Google to see what I can find. My instructors are aware of the issue so far but this is greatly impacting two of my classes.
Last things I have tried were a full uninstall and re-install  since my last post just to see if that would work. Nothing. Same issue still. The .indd verison opens per usual with missing three types of plugins that are YTDChannel related. Even though if I don't need this plugin as mentioned previous by /u/jmlevy, then why is everything coming up blank?
Thanks to everyone trying their best to help me.

  • Help! Missing "YTD Channels Model.sdk.InDesign Plug In"

Some existing InDesign files have this message showing up. What should I do? Can I delete this somehow? Or, does anyone know where I could get this missing Plug In? I'm not familiar with what this does, or where it came from. Thanks for your help. Deborah

Open then file, ignore the error message, then export a .INX file from InDesign. Open the .INX file and then resave the file as .INDD. When you open the new .INDD file plugin will be bypassed and you are free to save your changes.
The missing pluging was from VDP software the printer had been using.

  • Missing plugin  SMD DB/channels  does anyone know it?

I have an indesign file with a placed EPS which shows an error, and when opening get a warning that I 'should not open' the file...
The missing plugins are shown here (smd db model and smd channels model)...
I dont know anything much about plugins, but have never had a similar message before and a google search does not show any results.
    Can anyone enlighten me?

The first google hit (german sort order) took me to a swiss / german language site
    http://www.hilfdirselbst.ch/foren/Plugin_SMD_Channels_Model_P400673.html?#400673
Next obvious query is YTD InDesign, which leads you to a product called "Yours Truly Designer" from HP.
Searching the HP site is a pain, apparently they never heard of Search Engine Optimization.
The closest in content pages that I found are press releases announcing YTD for CS2, and a $2640 course for HP Indigo Front End Tools.

When going to package an InDesign file, we get a message about missing a plug-in, and the only option is to hit "OK" which stops the packaging process. The info on the (missing???) plug-in says: SMD Channels Model.SDK.inDesign plug-in.
We are using CS5, with all the latest updates installed. Thanks for any assistance.

    I found this: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/484963

  • 16bits/channel multilayer psd file problem.

    Hi all,
Did someone already know about 16 bits/channel multilayer psd file parsing is different to that of 8 bits/channel multilayer psd file?
as far as I try, it seems 8 bits/channel model, image data is saved in RLE model, but it is quite different in 16 bits/channel,
we could easily find out once we load those two file into memory (with same context, only model changed).
Anyone who know which algorithm may 16 bits/channel multilayer psd taken for saving the layer image data?
    Many Thanks!
    Jerry Yu

yes, 16 bit/channel can be ZIP/FLATE compressed. (RLE doesn't work well for anything beyond 8 bit/channel)
You can find the details in the Photoshop SDK (you'll have to ask specifically for the PSD documentation).

  • BSOD, STOP 0xc0000034

This happened after a failed overclock. I got the initial BSOD for a failed overclock, reset the CMOS, and then rebooted and Windows started to load then went to a black screen. After waiting for about 10 minutes I decided to force a restart. That's when I got the second BSOD. STOP: 0x0000007b (0xFFFFF880009A9928, 0xFFFFFFc0000034 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
Windows auto recovery didn't fix the problem (even using the boot disc), system restore did not work, chkdsk didn't pick up any errors, I ran the diagnosis software for my HDD and that came up clean..
I cannot boot into Windows or Safe Mode at all.
I googled for hours and it might be corrupt or missing drivers, or maybe even settings are off somewhere. I'm at a loss.

As you reset the BIOS settings you need to go into the BIOS and check all is set correctly for your hard drive.
For now, set your RAM to 1333mhz as anything above that is overclocking. Test the modules thoroughly with >>Memtest86<<.
As far as I know, the settings are correct. The memory passed memtest.

Pull power cable out when clearing CMOS.
But BIOS/CMOS has little to do with BSOD:s.  Use a singe stick at a time and look at them closely.
Raidmax makes decent cases but their choice of PSU:s for them is terrible! Don't trust the specs.
Try the most basic of SafeModes if you haven't.
Test the hard disk in another system, and no or another hard disk in yours.
Adr: It is the 7B in the blue-screen that is the top priority. And that can mean anything, why I think maybe your PSU is involved.
I picked out and bought the PSU myself and went by reviews on newegg.
What do you mean by most basic? I tried hitting F8 and accessing it from there and no dice.
I cannot test the HDD in another system, but I really do not think it is the problem anyway as it passed the manufacturer's diagnostic test. I also have another SS to post.
I was under the impression the second parameter inside the parenthesis is where to look. I found a lot of info from google about the 0xc00000034. I cannot find which file needs to be replaced though..

Well, if certain settings are reset it certainly can.
Njchopper87, if you installed Windows 7 with AHCI mode enabled in the BIOS make sure you set it to AHCI again.
I do not know how it was configured when installed. I tried changing it to AHCI though and the screen just flashed a different BSOD with no error code.. just the "Your computer was shut down to avoid causing damage..." message.

Are you sure all cores are properly functioning?
Positive. I've had it for a few weeks now. It passed an initial 12 hour stress test of Prime 95 on the first day, then I ran it for 24 hours a couple days later, and then it ran for 24 hours again bumped up to 3.6 ghz. The highest the voltage went was 1.4378 or close to that. Left it on auto to see how it would fair.
    Quote from: Onslaught2k3 on 18-August-10, 02:04:14
That is definitely an overclocking-based issue mate.  BSODS are more specific than you think and when it says "a secondary processor didn't receive a clock request" OR "your computer was shut down to prevent damage" what this means is that Windows' rudimentary Hardware Application Layer.dll (HAL.DLL) starts to NOT respond to the hardware in the computer because of an overclock.  The components in the computer may not be fully communicating with windows properly, causing the blue screening.  You're going to have to lower the clocks OR increase the voltages if you haven't done so already to ensure a stable system.  Also, lowering the HT link speed can also remedy that blue screen using the HT multiplier editor in BIOS.  AMD's ceilings for HyperTransport speeds is 2.6 Ghz instead of 2.0 Ghz but for most users proven very unstable so most just bump the multi on the CPU anyways.  I have a x2 555 myself and had to bump the voltage to about 1.45 volts to get a 4.2-4.4 Ghz overclock (I've experienced a few freezes and blue screens with the 4.4 ghz  OC but 4.2 is rock stable).  Good luck!
I was attempting to raise the CPU-NB to 2200 from the 2000 stock. Left the voltage on auto. Kept the HT link speed at 2000.
Here are a couple screens of the startup repair error. It is a corrupt file of some sort.. I recall it mentioning system 32 the very first time I saw the BSOD.. I just do not know which file needs to be replaced..

  • Sometimes cannot start PC: problem with Hitachi SATA Hard drive and K7N2G-ILSR

I have major problem with my 160Gb SATA Hitachi hard drive and my MSI K7N2G-ILSR motherboard.  Sometimes the PC can be started, sometimes it cannot.
After I installed a clean build of Windows XP Pro SP1 onto my new hard drive (as the only hard drive in my PC) and install all the necessary drivers, the system runs smoothly.  However, after about 2 to 3 weeks, sometimes when I start the PC, it cannot detect the hard drive and hence it claimes that it cannot find any VMI Pool Data (i.e. no OS detected).  What makes it really horrible is that, it is like the lottery everytime when I start the PC.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  The highest record was 8 consecutive failures (by resetting or by turning the power off and on again) before I can start the machine properly.  Also, the system sometimes just crashes in the middle of operating.
I have already sent the hard drive back to Hitachi.  Got the same model of hard drive back as replacement, but the replacement has the same problem, except with the replacement drive the PC can be started eventually after many tries, while with the previous drive it is possible that the PC cannot be started until after a few days later.
Also, it seems that my drive can detect either SATA hard drive or PATA hard drive, but not both.  (If I leave my old PATA drive connect in the primary IDE channel, Windows cannot detect the new SATA drive.)
Is my motherboard faulty?  Can it only use PATA drive?
My PC's spec is as follows:
    AMD Athlon XP 2500+
512Mb PC3200 SDRAM (set to run at 166MHz)
Hitachi 160Gb SATA Hard drive on 1st SATA channel (Model #HDS722516VLSA80)
Sony DVD+-RW drive and Panasonic DVD-ROM drive on secondary IDE channel
    Use onboard video (GeForce MX)
US Robotech V92 internal PCI modem
    SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Player soundcard
    Onboard audio disabled
    300W PSU
OS is Windows XP Pro SP1 (with all latest security patches up to date)

the only sata drives i now that spins faster is western digital raptors 10k rpm.

Yes to get the full benefit of RAID, the Raptors are the way to go.Anything else, no significant difference.

I purchased a GTX560Ti about a month ago and out of the box everything seemed to be working fine.  But when working with a friend who has the exact same card and trying to OC it more I just kept getting Driver Crashes.  Recently in the last week or two I have been getting random Black Screens that show No Video Input and a forced ON/OFF to fix it.  Also I have been getting Driver failures today when watching a Flash video.  I dialed everything back to Stock for the card and it seems to Game fine playing BC2, Crysis 2, Bulletstorm for hours at a time.  Then out of nowhere I get a driver crash or Black Screen.  I have taken the time to read most of the posts on the forum here and I have already set it back to Reference Clock settings but that was just today.  I am wondering if maybe the Live Updater updated to the wrong BIOS but I can seem to find what is the correct one.  Below is my system specs if you need more let me know.

remove the OC, etc: leave it with factory default settings
I already have and set it to reference settings 822/1644/2000 and 1.012v.  I did play about 4hrs of BC2 last night an had no issues.
I few others I spoke with suggested I uninstall the driver and use a driver removal tool, I used DriverSweeper 2.1 from Guru3d, to remove any remaining "items" from an older driver.  I then reinstalled the 266.66 driver and reset clocks to the 822/1644/2000 reference settings.
Also what Video BIOS should I have installed?  Mine is 70.24.11.00.00
