SMP Relay server log settings

Hi All,
We are using the SMP 2.3SP03 version connected with relay servers.
My question is regarding the logs on the relay server side.
As we are all familiar, we can change the SMP log file settings (maximum file size,reset log when server restarts, e.t.c) from SCC.
Although there is no option on changing the relay server log file size using SCC.
The problem i am facing is the following.
Every once in a while, the relay server log file becomes very big for notebook to read and I cannot access my logs to trace and troubleshoot. The only solution to reset the log files is apparently to restart the relay server so new log files are created.
Is there any alternative to that?
For example, something changed in SCC to reset the log files when they are bigger than 10MB or create a windows process that does that.
Thank you in advance!!
George

Hi Shiv,
Thank you very much for the response.
Even though I am trying to use the command to change the size, I don't get any confirmation that it was successful.
Is it possible you can provide an example of each one just for my reference on whether i use the command correctly?
I am attaching what I used and screenshots.
Thanks!!
George
command: after cd on the specific location, rshost -os 102400

  • Agentry Server Log Settings Error

    Hi,
    I'm working on SMP 2.3 Agentry Server and want to change Agentry Server Log Settings. When I try to change "Server.Backend.Java-1" log settings, it gives error like this ;
    I've tried to disconnect all users but it did not work.
    Best Regards,

    Serkan,
    Another idea is to do it manually.
    Steps:
    1. Under your SMP 2.3 / Unwired Server / Repository / Application Directory or AgentryServer directory - find the AgentryLogging.ini and modify the levels 1 to 4 (4 being most detail) and Y for Yes - use a separate file.
    2. Stop / Restart your SMP 2.3 server from your Desktop Icon.
    The steps above is not normally recommended as it requires you to restart the SMP 2.3 server. If it is successful from the SCC then no restart is needed. If you are in debug or development mode, I guess it is okay to know what files control the logging and what to edit.
    In production mode, you never really want to do it this way due to the restart.
    Let me know if it works for you.

  • Unable to use relay server using https configuration

    Hi All,
    I am using Sybase Unwired Platform 2.2 SP 04 with iOS 7.1.
    I am implementing relay server with https configuration. I have already implemented relay server with http using port 80 which is working fine. But when I am changing the outbound enabler property from http to https in Server Configuration, outbound enabler is giving error
    "Could not connect to Relay Server, errCode: 57, sysCode: 11001" in the RSOE log.
    Instead of public IP, I am using hostname.com URL for accessing relay server.
    Also in browser the availability of the url:  /ias_relay_server/server/rs_server.dll is showing none.
    Kindly advice.

    Hi Wim,
    The above log that I posted recently is the messaging RSOE log generated from the sybase control center.
    Now below is the log content from the relay server log at C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1

  • Log settings drop down disabled in SAP Maangement Cockpit

    Hi All,
    I have deployed my Service Manager 4.2 application in the SAP Management Cockpit.
    While working we saw some fields are not coming from SAP to Syclo, hence we thought to enable the logs for the same .
    In SAP Management cockpit I found the drop down to select teh log traces are disabled.
    Please guide me how can I enable the traces so that I can generate the log files .
    Thanks and Regads
    Neha Mahanty

    Hi Neha,
    I am also wondering answer for this but If you want to enable the log for Agentry application, It also can be done forcefully by doing changes in AgentryLogging.ini file.
    Please follow the below steps to enable Agentry log in SMP-3.0.
         1. Stop the SMP server.
         2.Go the the below specified folder.
              {SMP installation folder}\Server\configuration\com.sap.mobile.platform.server.agentry
         3. Open AgentryLogging.ini file in edit mode.
         4. Please add the following settings.(logging level.separate file required or not)
                   [Log Settings]
                       server=5.Y
                        angel front end=5.Y
                        user.*=5.Y
                        server.backend.httpxml-2=5.Y
                        server.backend.java-1=5.Y
                        angel front end.connection.*=5.Y
                        server.thirdpartypushservice.apns=5.Y
         5. After saving, restart the SMP server.
    Now when you work with Agentry application you could see logs in the Agentry log folder.
    Thanks,
    Sudhir.

    Do a backup.
    Quit the application.
    Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
    Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
    If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

  • Weird error message I got after changing my Access Log Settings

    "Try to refresh the view (localhost/Web). Report the problem to the administrator if it persists. (NILRESPONSEERR (* -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (0) beyond bounds (0)))"
    I can't seem to get into server admin to change back what I did. I copied access log settings from a known good working server and after hitting save I get this. Tried restarting with no luck.
    Anyone know where to start looking at? Ever encountered this before?

    Hi Anjali,
    Check your rs.config file extensions. I faced the same issue & i rectified it by giving the correct extension to the rs.config file.

  • Relay Server with a Http 500 error (SUP 2.2)

    Hello experts,
    The history is the following, after upgrading my unwired server from SUP 2.2 SP 02 to SP 05 the aplication stopped working.
    We could get Register, but we could but not synchronize.
    We connected the device directly to SUP and it worked we could register and synchronize but. when connected to Relay Server only register is possible.
    at the moment our only hint is the Http Error 500 that is appearing in the relayserver log. What could be causing the internar error?.
    Thanks in advance.
    Below there is an example of a Successfull Comunication and a Unsucessful one.

  • How to config weblogic 10.3.3 server log and domain log?

    I need to change the default logging configuration for both server log and the domain log. The server logging configuration (such as limiting the number of retained log files) can be updated in the Admin console. Howerver there are 100 domains running in a weblogic instance, can this be accomplished by updating a configuration file for each domain instead of going through the web interface?
    Also, how can I change the domain log configuration? Is there a configuration file or a command line argument for this?
    Thanks,
    Hong

    Hi Hong,
    Based on your requirement we have just created a script for you which would full fill your requirement.
    Note: Please the below properties files and the WLST script in the same same location
    "*domain.properties*"
    domain.count=2
    rotationType=bySize
    numberOfFilesLimited=yes
    fileMinSize=3000
    rotateLogOnStartup=yes
    fileCount=5
    ### Domain-1 Details ###
    domain.1.name=Domain_7001
    domain.1.admin.url=t3://10.10.10.10:7001
    domain.1.admin.username=weblogic
    domain.1.admin.password=weblogic
    domain.1.server.count=2
    domain.1.server.1.name=AdminServer
    domain.1.server.2.name=MS-1
    ### Domain-2 Details ###
    domain.2.name=Test_Domain
    domain.2.admin.url=t3://20.20.20.20:8001
    domain.2.admin.username=weblogic
    domain.2.admin.password=weblogic
    domain.2.server.count=2
    domain.2.server.1.name=AdminServer
    domain.2.server.2.name=MS-1 Below is the WLST script "*domainLogConfigurtionChange.py*" which would use the above properties file.

  • Heartbleed bug in Relay Server

    According to http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2007688 the Heartbleed bug has been fixed for the corresponding products.
    I did not find anything explicitly mentioning the Relay Server in the release notes.
    So for clarification: has the Relay Server been fixed too? And if so I would like to know as of which version.
    In SMP 3.0 SP03 PL01 and in SMP 2.3 SP04 PL01 (I only took a look at those 2) there is a Relay Server included. Does this Version of the Relay Server include the fix for the Heartbleed bug?
    Thanks,
    Klaus

    Hi Klaus,
    The version indicated in that note include fixes for all the components.  In this case, utilizing the Relay Server version included with SMP 3.0 SP03 PL01 & SMP 2.3 SP04 PL01 will include patches for the Heartbleed issue.
    As a side note, the Relay Server is part of the SQL Anywhere platform so we can also use those value from the note as well.  The SP level can be a bit difficult to compare against your actual version but you can use the following:
    SQL Anywhere 16.0.0 SP 11 - > 16.0.0.1824  (This is the version shipped with SMP 2.3 SP04 PL01)
    Hope this helps,
    Edgar

    Hi Alan,
    Since you are getting error while synchronization that means sup registration is successful correct? Are you able to see  registered user in SCC?
    Did you also check sup server logs? (C:\sybase\unwired server\server\log)
    I believe you will some relevant hints from here?
    Meanwhile,  can you look at below link:

  • Where do I find my server logs?

    Assuming you are using Tomcat as your application server, there are at least 2 "sets" of logs created during the normal operation of an Adobe Access license server:
    1. Regular logs created by the application server (independent of any web application).  These are your "access", "catalina", "manager", etc... logs that are typically found in your /tomcat/logs/ directory.
    2. Adobe Access server logs created by the Adobe Access license server web application.
         2a) If you are using the Adobe Access License Server Reference Implementation, the target location of the log file is specified in the "log4j.xml" file that is provided by Adobe Access during initial setup of your server.  This file is called "AdobeFlashAccess.log" by default.  On the Adobe Access DVD/ESD, this file is located at: \Reference Implementation\Server\resources\
        2b) If you are using the Adobe Access License Server for Protected Streaming, several different log files (for global/partition/tenant levels) are created with a ".log" extension in the directory where you have installed your license server in your tomcat installation.  For example, a log file will be \tomcat6\licenseserver\flashaccess-global.log

  • Error Message in MDM Server Log

    Hi Experts,
    Can anybody tell me what could be the problems if we have the following scenario ?
    For an example: Our MDM Server is based on 5.5 SP06, MDM Server name is DFM and our repository name is MDMQ110.
    1) Checking the Reports from this Repository MDMQ110 from MDM Console, no errors and no warning. This repository can be loaded successfully and completed.
    2) Server Log has an error in message:
    Error: Service 'DFM', Schema 'MDMQ110_m000', ERROR CODE = 0,
    SELECT LENGTH(Data) FROM A2i_Misc_Blobs WHERE Id=1000
    Thanks very much for your help in advance
    Regards,
    WD

    Hi Kanstantsin,
    Thanks for your reply. I have done the stop and repair but It did not help any. By repair, there are no errors and warnings that have been fixed which I can see in the repository reports.
    The Assertion Log has come up first with the messages like:
    6426            2010/01/12 09:07:08.500               Error: Data_2 accelerator does not exist in A2i_CM_Accelerator_Status
    6426            2010/01/12 09:07:08.683               Error: Data_53 accelerator does not exist in A2i_CM_Accelerator_Status
    4884 2010/01/12 09:43:30.335   Error: KeyWord_2_F4_Leng_USA accelerator does not exist in A2i_CM_Accelerator_Status
    As soon as I run into MDM, the Server Log has come up the same messages:
    It looks like not only happened to this repository. As I can see if I load any other repository, there are the same messages in Server Log but only the repository name in the message is different.

    hi , thank you for reading my post.
    is there any way to have a live feed of Application server log ?
    for example is there any application that can watch the log file and show the changes as new log items come in ?
    can some one with more experience help ?

    Your question would be more suited to the Developer Forums
    http://devforums.apple.com
    but anyway...
    My goal is to develop a web application that is able to run on iPhone too, to capture the audio and video content from its camera and mic.
    Web Apps running in Safari don't have access to the camera or mic hardware.
    Or I should built a native application distributed through Apple store?
    That is your only option, although such a system already exists:
