SMP Supported By Default Or Must Be Enabled Like FREEBSD

Dear All;
I'm new to Sun, but not new to Unix. I'm running a dual processor x86 machine and was wondering if Solaris 8 automatically supports and enables smp. Or do you have to recompile the kernel like FREBSD.
If not enabled how to I go about getting it enabled. Assume I don't know a lot when and if you explain it to me. If it is enabled well than thank you for letting me know in advance.

Solaris supports SMP by default. You don't have to recompile the kernel. As a matter of fact, you can't recompile the kernel on Solaris - well, if you have certain "things" you might be able to but in general - no, you don't recompile the kernel on Solaris.

Using Quicken to manage a bank account, I get an error message from the bank that cookies and javascript must be enabled, but I don't get that message when I connect with Internet Explorer.

Firefox allows me to get the bank home page through Quicken. But when I try to login, the error message appears saying "cookies and javascript" must be enabled. I have Java on my system, but in Firefox under "tools/options/ I don't find any way to "enable" javascript. I have enabled "cookies".
I have no problem logging in at the bank site using Internet Explorer, but to use it, I have to designate it as the "default browser" before connecting through Quicken. I'd rather keep Firefox as the default.
A bank tech representative was unable to find any commands in Firefox that would deal with this problem, although she clearly had manuals for both Internet Explorer and Firefox. So she concluded that I would have to use Explorer for this operation, since it allowed control of security level settings. She said that in Explorer, security level should be set to medium.
Is there some similar control in Firefox?

To enable/disable Just-In-Time debugging
On the Tools menu, click Options.
In the Options dialog box, select the Debugging folder.
In the Debugging folder, select the Just-In-Time page.
In the Enable Just-In-Time debugging of these types of code box, select or clear the relevant program types:
Managed, Native, or Script.
To disable Just-In-Time debugging, once it has been enabled, you must be running with Administrator privileges. Enabling Just-In-Time debugging sets a registry key, and Administrator privileges are required to change that key.
Click OK.

Must disable&enable bluetooh to re-connect to iphone network

Hi all,
After upgrading to Lion sharing my iphone internet connection via bluetooth got more difficult. Now whenever iphone disconnects (for example because iphone get's out of bluetooth' range or I'm talking with someone) I must disable&enable bluetooth on Lion to get network connection up again. If I don't, when try to connect to iphone network it says me it's not able to connect and console logs:

I applied and received an upgrade code to Redeem Mountain Lion for my new MBP.
I get this message when I try to Sign in to the App Store after entering the redemption content code, and also if I just try to "Sign In".   The first part of the error is true - I haven't used the AppleID with the iTunes store.
I received the upgrade code using this same AppleID, so I don't think I can use a different AppleID.
I also tried to re-create this appleID...(it was one suggestion I saw for this issue) It doesn't let me since the ID already exists...
The error is:

It's clearly not a cookie issue..   Stuck...

As for cookies. Quit the App Store. Now open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder.
Type this exactly as you see it here:   ~/Library/Cookies
Click Go the move the   com.apple.appstore.plist   file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store.

The warning about the warranty is light hearted, I think at one stage it warned "here be dragons" but also intended to make us think as it warns that making changes may produce problems.

During setup wizard,

it does work with non standard ports but whatever port you specify it will always try to connect to the default port before actually changing the repo setting.
Therefore use the switches -n -o $WSHOME/WEB-INF/ServerRepository.xml to write the new configuration without performing the broken checks.

How about extensions? Perhaps you have an adblock extension installed.
Check Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Details: Added logic in Consumer such that when the Consumer is connected over a non-realtime channel (i.e. non-polling and non-streaming channel), a warning is logged to let the user know that channel is not going to automatically receive updates via client poll or server push. We can't really throw an error here because one might want to disable channel polling and manually send poll requests when needed and this is a valid configuration as well.

When defining a data type of category NC, I would like to use data fields of type checkbox. At NC logging data entry the checkbox should be "checked" by default.
When looking for the proper value to indicate that the ccheckbox is selected, I have tried values like: 0, 1, TRUE, FALSE, T, t, X, x ... etc. But always I got the same error message:
"Data field FUNCTIONAL_YN does not support the default value (Message 14120)"
What should be the right value?

It looks as if by means of GUI you cannot specify default state of being selected for Checkbox field. The default state is unselected.
It is easier to invert the statement in the label of the field so that an operator could use unselected state as default.

In order to get more information, you should search for your exception id "04:45_02/10/08_0037_13390350" in the default trace file.

SMS is a cellular carrier function. Contact your cellular carrier and make sure you are correctly set up with an SMS plan.
