  • Monitoring qRFC outbound queues

    Hi,
I need a CCMS monitor on qRFC outbound queues (tcode SMQ1), so that I get notified whenever messages gets stuck for some reason.
I tried with MTE class "CCMS_qRFC_Outbound_Queues_Summary", but it stays green, even after several messages are not processed in the outbound queue.
Does anyone have experience with this?

Read SAP Note 441269 - Setting up tRFC/qRFC monitoring in the alert monitor
That should put you in the right direction.

  • QRFC Outbound queue errors

    Hi All,
I have some "qRFC Outbound queue errors" in the production system of R/3 and the target system is CRM.
The status is "SYSFAIL " .
Can anybody tell me how to solve them.
    Regards,
    Anindya

    HI Anindya,
It's a very simple error. You have to check with your Security System Administrator if the user has included in your profile the authorization object S_RFCACL. Before this you have to define RFC Trusted / Trusting Systems in your Landscape.

  • How to read data from qRFC queue entry

As we know already that qRFC is to queue & execute RFC function modules asynchronously. From any qRFC queue having entries, is it possible to read the content of a particular entry? Here content means, i am more intersted to know the singnature of a particular RFC function module waiting in the queue. Is there any API already available from qRFC framework for the same? Any quick help in this regard would be greatly appriciated.

  • QRFC outbound queue

    Hello all,
In the outbound queue of a R3/ECC system, I find messages with status as "Message edited in the target system".
What could be reason for this and what is the work around to solve this problem ?

    Hi,
Did you get resolutoin to your problem here?  We have BI queues in ECC which have been running just fine for over a year now and out of no where this just started happening to one of our LO extraction processes in ECC.  We have raised our issue to SAP but at this point can not find any notes pertaining to this type of message being in a ECC outbound queue for BI.

But when i saw the transaction LBWQ it only contains the Logistics related extract structures.i am aware of LBWQ where the user postings will be saved here with the help of VI Update.

    Hi,
SMQ1 and SMQ2 is used to view the Outbound and Inbound Queue :-
SMQ1 u2013 qRFC Monitor for the outbound queue You use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue and restart any hanging queues manually.
SMQ2 u2013 qRFC Monitor for the inbound queue. You use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue.

  • WM* queues in SMQ1

    Hi experts -
We are seeing multiple entries in SMQ1 in our ERP system that have destination "NONE".  These queue names all start with "WMIMA'....
I know we are not using these queues, and I would like to deactivate them from queueing up.  Can anyone provide any advice as to how to do so?
    Thanks!

    Hi Abby,
I never heard of such error, and I am looking for any expert answer on your issue, and
I need some information of how SMQ1 works, in general business(Functional words).
SMQ1 u2013 qRFC Monitor for the outbound queue You use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue and restart any hanging queues manually.
    ·        SMQ2 u2013 qRFC Monitor for the inbound queue. You use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue.
If anyone could explain in general words with complete business scenario would be great help, and If anyone could give it with Inventory Datasources? With the answer to abby's question would be appreciable.

  • SXMB_MONI: Message scheduled on outbound side

    Hi,
one message sticks in the integration server. The status is "Message scheduled on outbound side". Instead of the target flag there is a green flag in the column outbound status. The queue is registerd, <b>following messages were processed succesfully</b>. QRFC-Monitor is empty.
If I start outbound channel monitor, I can see one entry.
If i mark the outbound entry and click "display queue entry" the following message is shown (Transaction RFC):
    XIAPPLUSER   IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS     CRP_100       18.01.2006 11:00:23 Transaction executing                                C0A83D0E0D9C43CE11B70077 ...
    What to do?

    Hi Jayakrishnan Nair,
    SM58 returns one entry:
    XIAPPLUSER   IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS     CRP_100       18.01.2006 11:00:23 Transaction executing                                C0A83D0E0D9C43CE11B70077...
So the status is still "transaction executing"...
Now I have checked WE02 in the target system and I have found the IDOC being successfully posted 2 hours ago!
It seems that you were right, that the acknowledgement was not received by XI.
I am going to delete that entry in SM58...
Hopefully this will not happen again in the future!
Thanks to all for your help! Points rewarded.

  • Difference between TRFC and QRFC

    Dear all,
i understand that TRFC functions as EO and QRFC functions as EOIO.
but can anyone of u pls make me understand there significance with a practical example :
    1. in terms of XI
    2. without XI when we say that one R3 is connected to other with say TRFC or QRFC
    pl help

    Hi! Tarang,
I just adding few points in this forum...Actually your question and some of the answers given are different .Some of them are deviating the topic.
According to my knowledge and as per SAP documentations also I am adding these points. Correct me if I am wrong.
At first QRFC , TRFC are different from the BE, EO and EOIO because trfc are message protocols and BE , EO and EOIO are nothing but Quality of Services (QOS).
You can check this in the below URL::
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/0d/5ab43b274a960de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
QOS is one of the property of TRFC's.
    1) See Got o SMQ1 an SMQ2 what you will found:: ?
QRFC Monitor Outbound Queue and QRFC Monitor Inbound Queue. both Queues QRFC s common.ok its a simple thing.
    2) Also lets take IDOC Adapter for IDOC whether it may be File to IDOC or IDOC to File Scenario where you will monitor the IDOC in SM58 also right ? why because this TRFC's are mainly for communicating with one SAP system to another SAP System. IDOC is mainly sending data via TRFC ports. That is why you ill monitor the IDOC if data doesn't reached means in Transaction COde:: SM58.
    3) QRFC Outbound and QRFC Inbound is mainly for communicating with SAP System and Non SAP Systems. Okay you can get this information in the below further explination and link.
Note::qRFC communication is an extended form of tRFC communication. It adds a serialization concept to the transactional concept of tRFC.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/3b/befa40badbf46fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Some applications use qRFC with outbound queue to improve system performance and not for serialization. If this is the case, you can switch automatically from the qRFC LUW with outbound queue to the tRFC LUW to avoid a hanging queue if a SYSTEM_FAILURE occurs
Note:: To cancel a background job if tRFC errors occur use program RSARFCEX to restart tRFC.
First What is the purpose of RFC:: ?All types of applications are instructed to communicate with other applications. This communication may take place within an SAP system, with another SAP system, or with an application from a remote external system. An interface that can be used for dealing with this task is the Remote Function Call (RFC).  RFCs can be used to start applications in remote systems, and to execute particular functions.
There are 3 types of communications::
Communication within an SAP system or with a remote system can take place using Remote Function Call (RFC). This enables the following scenarios:
    ·      a)  Communication between two independent SAP systems
           b)  Communication between a calling SAP system and an external receiving system
           c)  Communication between a calling external SAP system and an SAP system as the receiving
                system
Features of the Three Communication TypesTo help you decide which communication types you need to implement according to your system landscape and your requirements, the advantages of the three types of communication are explained below:
    ... 1)      tRFC
Suitable only for independent function module calls; the sequence of the calls is not preserved
    ·   2)   qRFC with outbound queue
Function modules in a queue are guaranteed to be processed only once and in sequence (serialization). Also suitable for communication with non-SAP servers.
    ·   3)     qRFC with inbound queue
The function modules created in the outbound queue are transferred from the outbound queue to the inbound queue; the sequence of the function modules is preserved. An inbound scheduler processes the inbound queues in accordance with the specified resources. Both the client and the server system must be SAP systems. One work process is used for each inbound queue.

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/e7/555e3c0f51a830e10000000a114084/content.htm
    XI point of View...
Basically Once the TRFC or QRFC is funtion is over XI will place the Message into the Adapter engine queues based on the Comminication channel configuration.
Suppose if it is and EO then XI ill place the message in any  Queue based on the free and priority and if configuration is done as per EOIO then XI ill place all the messages in the Same queue name so that it ill processes in order one after another and if the above message fails and remaining all other messages will be in the queue and doesnt process untill the failed mesages gets removed
But in case of  EO it may be places in any queue and if one message fails then another message of same interface may processed sucessfully based on another queue order.
I hope it wil be helpful to you...

  • SMQ1 & SMQ2 Monitor

    Hi Friends,
I know that SMQ2 ia a inbound queue and SMQ1 is a outboud queue but wanted to know where this queues are present exactly and Purpose
I guess SMQ2 is the first step in IE after AE forwards the PI SOAP Message and before the Pipeline steps.
Once Pipeline completes the Call Adapter Step then message goes to Adapter through SMQ1. Please clarify
    Regards & Thanks ,
    Manikandan

    >>when we say outbound (SMQ1) it mean messages are incoming to IE of PI( i.e Sender System->AE->IE)
AFAIK ...the PI XML (from the sender system) message is first placed in the inbound queue after that logical routing and splitting of messages will take place, then the message is placed in the outbound queue (mapping and technical routing will take place) and once all the pipeline steps executed messages from the outbound queue is assigned to the receiver of the message through an adapter(optional)...

  • Difference between SMQ1 and RSA7 in CRM system?

We all know that in R3 systems and for LO Cookpit applications, SMQ1 can display outbound queue which usually contains the updated records on R3 systems for LO Cookpit application data and then after scheduled V3 job, these updated records on R3 systems can be moved from the outbound queue (SMQ1) to Delta queue (RSA7) and wait for BW Delta extraction.
However in CRM systems, there should be no such scheduled V3 job, does that mean SMQ1 = RSA7 in CRM systems, or in other words, both T-Codes or the Outbound queue (SMQ1) and the Delta queue (RSA7) show the same updated records and wait for BW extraction?
    Anyone's answer is greatly appreciated!

    Hi
RSA7 will hold the delta records nothing but delta queue. But in SMQ1 is used to delete the entries(data) in the delta Queue.
    Thanks
