N80 INTERNET EDITION, SMS ACCELERATOR n VPN

Hey can anybody tell me if the SMS Accelerator comes pre-installed on N80 I.E since there is no mention of it on the support/software pages. My N80 I.E's firmware version is 4.0632.0.38 ( latest as per my limited knowledge ). Also on the N80 I.E support pages, it does not mention about VPN Client software as it does on the regular N80 page. Can somebody explain this to me?

Why do they install Gizmo when it is nearly impossible to get the darn thing working!
Fring seems the easiest at the moment though.

N80 sms accelerator, HELP

I am still trying to download the sms accelerator for my nokia n80, when i try to click on the "download now" icon on my pc nothing happens? i have been trying for days! is there any over way of getting this software???

SMS accelerator has to be downloaded onto a PC 1st and then transferred to mobile through applications manager.
If you face problems downloading to PC then it could be that the server could be facing some problems.
I did mine and got it transferred to phone. It just works fine.

How can I open a project that has been created with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration software, on my trial version of Premier Pro CC?

I'm working with a colleague who is using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration software on his PC version of Premier Pro CC. I am using a mac and have a trial version of Premier Pro CC. When I try to open a project file that he has sent me I get an error message-
"Missing renderer: This project was last used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA), which is either not available or not certified on this system. Mercury Playback Engine Software Only will be used."
When I click OK and locate the files I get a message saying "File format not supported".
Can anyone tell me what to do so that we can share project files?

Shouldn't really be the MPE at fault here ... what is the codec of the footage/sequence/project?
Second, can you create a new project in PrPro, then in the media browser, import that sequence from the other project?

N93 SMS Accelerator

After upgrade to v20.0.058 last November 2006, from the Nokia Service Center, I immediately reformated my N93, which actually my practice on all my phones, out of the box, i always reformat both the phone and memory card prior to use.
Last weekend, i decided to reformat again my phone, (maybe out of boredom) and installed the SMS Accelerator.
I have noticed since this is the first time i installed SMS Accelerator, my N93 started acting strange, random shut down, blank screen, camera not responding.
This afternoon, i reformatted again and decided not to install SMS Accelerator and my phone is back to normal.
I dont know if it has something to do with the release date of V20.0.58 which is dated 21-10-06, while the SMS Accelerator was released Sept 14, 2006. Meaning with v20.0.058 this problem has been corrected already and no need to install this file.

I have a Nokia N80 (IE) running v4.0632.0.38
Do I need the SMS accelerator? Or is the fix now in the base fw?

I believe it's included in the base firmware

N73 SMS accelerator

Hi, I have a N73 (on O2) and I really need to install the SMS accelerator to improve its speed.
I tried to download it directly on the phone from nokia.com. I could do that but then I got a msg: the "Installation of 'N73_acc.... .sis' is not supported".
What did i do wrong ?
The connection to the website was obviously fine, the file is the right one for the N73 (it's the one on the nokia website, in the pages dedicated to the N73 !).
The set up on my phone appeared fine (able to accept 'All', instead of 'Signed')
Can someone help me ?

even I had similar situation. What you can do is go to FileManager and search for this file it should be under install and try to install from there or from Application Manager but for some strange reason it cant do on runtime.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself properly. I'd like my E65 to work like my 6270, whereby the full screen area is used in camera mode. The E65 only uses part of the screen.

Even with one message, when I click on the new message alert at the top of the active standy screen it briefly displays "Messaging" before going to the Inbox. Not the end of the world, but a bit annoying!

How to reinstall SMS text software...

Brought a 8350i(nextel) off of ebay, received phone but device cant receive or send SMS text. Has options to send email, PIN, MMs, and IM but no SMS. Help PLEASE.... bbm me <censored>

Before you do what JSanders suggests above, I'd do a resettofactory to remove any IT Policy that is likely blocking the sms/mms feature.

Equinox: Call/SMS filtering software?

I am with T-Mobile and my husband's phone (which I pay for) is a Sony Ericsson Equinox. We keep getting SMS and calls from a certain number. We'd like to block SMS and calls from that number, but T-Mobile says if we want to do that we have to block ALL text messaging which is quite inconvenient as he texts quite a bit for work. Is there a SMS/call blocking feature or downloadable software package we can get to address this problem?

With respect to calls, you should be able to choose to accept them from a list: Main menu--Settings--Calls--Manage calls--Accept calls--Only from list: this way you can exclude the number you don't want.As far as I know, this doesn't apply to texts.
To specifically block this number though (for calls only), you have to ask your mobile operator to do this.

Loss of audio after upgrade os x 10.7.5, reset PRAM, SMS, updated software and other recommendations i could find. Master volume sliders inactive in Audio Midi section. Can see sound bar responding it input on line in but is not being internally routed.

Recently upgrade to OS x 10.7.5 resulted in loss of what appears to be internal communication of line in audio, and output. Have tired several remedies including resetting PRAM, SMS, updating all software, multiple Sound and Audio Midi applications adjustments to no avail. Also no audio is recognized on USB mixing board I tried as well, though Audio USB Codec was displayed. THe master volume sliders and other options are greyed out on Audio Midi application whn I try to troubleshoot that. Nothing external will play through computer speakers, but internal sounds and iTunes play normally.I made sure the audio sampling rates were default. Software issue or soundcard/hardware failure.?..Pullin my hair out!

Might be corrupted sound preferences ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following;
/Library/Preferences/Audio
Click Go then move both .plist files from the Audio folder to the Trash.
com.apple.audioDeviceSettings.pllist
com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist
Restart your Mac. See if that made a difference ...

BI Accelerator software updates

Hi folks,
I need to know how the software updates/patches for the BIA is connected and aligned to the NW2004s Support Packages and Support Package Stacks.
1) Does there exists SP and SPS for the BIA? Does any release schedule exist?
2) In the BIA update central note 883726 it is only talking about rev. of the software. How are these connected to SP and SPS?
3) Is there any dependencies for the software versions on the BIA and which SP / SPS you are using in the ABAP / JAVA stacks?

What happens when you run Software Update?
Get MacJanitor and run the Maintenance scripts. When it's finished quit MacJanitor and restart your Mac.
Have you checked the hard disk for errors?
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger and later) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window where you see Capacity and Available. Make sure there is always 15% free disk space. Not enough disk space can cause directory corruption.
If you cannot boot from your install disk, try booting in Safe Mode

Slow n73!!

i've had an n73 for 4months now and the phone seems to be getting painfully slower. not that it can be much slower from when i originally bought it...
does anyone have any suggestions as to why it is so slow or how to improve it?
i've looked into updating software however, i have a Mac and the software update is not compatible with macs..
any help would be much appreciated!

I was getting really annoyed with my N73 taking up to 5 mins to send SMS messages, and being generally really slow, crashing when trying to open applications; even to the extend of getting O2 to replace the handset (the 2nd N73 has developed the same fault).
I have just downloaded this firmware (BACKUP YOUR PHONE MEMORY! you could lose your contacts, although my contacts are still there :-) ) and my N73 is now much quicker when i go into programmes and SMS texts are sending in seconds!
Not sure what you should do about using a Mac, although i was online and downloaded straight to my phone through my laptop, firmware is not saved to my laptop.

_e61 software update- +

Hi,
Today I decided to update my e61. The story actually starts with the SMS problem, which, in my case, was solved yesterday after a year of using the phone with this "feature" — stupid me for not having searched nokia discussions.
So today I've got NSU. The programme recognized the phone, found a newer software (the older version was something like 1.xx.xx — I failed to remember the digits) — version 3-something (again no room in the brain to place these numbers).
The update-process started and then the telephone… "died" — famous story, isn't it? No, I'm not blaming nokia or anyone else. My NSU exclaimed on having lost the connection to the phone. I used three different usb ports on my computer. I insisted on continuing the process. After the 10th attepmt or so I nearly gave up the idea and started to prepare myself for a walk to some service centre. Then, suddenly, the update process completed successfully. But the phone failed to start. Blank screen with the logo and a short warning sound.
I tried to update the phone once again. But the NSU could not detect the device. Here I got a bit of shock since I had no wish to give up my nokia for months (as our local service centres normally repair phones).
I searched the messageboards here and found 3-GREEN-* combination to format the phone. It helped.
Here I was surprised. I expected to see the older software but got the newer. And it works. Should it really be so? I mean what was formatted then?
There is also another trouble I got right after the installation of SMS accelerator. Or at least it happened so that sms-accel. Neither Opera-mini nor gmail nor any other application can access internet. I didn't change access points. I checked my services with my provider — gprs is on. Could you tell me, where can find a solution to this issue? Thank you.

Deleting all access points helped. I erased all of them, used the wizzad (but it supplied only two AP: for war and mms). The one for internet I defined myself. And it works. Thank you very much.
