Sms and java

i want create an application whith java that send sms

Wait wait guess what i found:
Bluetooth Gets Java-Enabled
Java programmers interested in Bluetooth wireless-enabled devices have a new developmentoutlet -- Zucotto Systems.
The Java-enabled development tool by San Diego-based Zucotto's Xpresso system-on-a-chip is based on Sun Microsystems' Java2 MicroEdition KVM (K Virtual machine) and is geared specifically toward wireless application development.
Bluetooth, the wireless chip set expected to make its debut this spring, is led by nine Special Interest Group (SIG) members and over 1,300 developers. The technology will provide short-range radio wireless connectivity to handheld devices and PCs.
Zucotto said it is forming alliances with SIG members to develop Java applications and said its Xpresso chip is 20 to 40 times faster than comparable chips and consumes less power.
Man i can't wait to check that out....

    1) what API will I have to use for developing SMS applications in Java.
    2) what actually will be the flow of this application I mean where will it be hosted? will it connect to SMS Server in short please explain me the flow of this application i.e to which server will it first be connected and so on...
    3) any useful web site or resources?
    4) what in general is the flow of any SMS?
    5) any useful suggestions or any thing else than please guide me?
I would be waiting for your precious replies , pleae reply as soon as possible.
    Thanking You,

this has been asked time and again, so a few seconds in the search functionality should provide you with plenty of information.
As you may be too stupid to type in your own search terms:
http://www.altavista.com/web/results?itag=ody&q=SMS+in+Java&kgs=0&kls=0 yields a few thousand results (at least).

But as YOU need to write it it won't do for you to try and trick someone else into writing it so you can submit it as your own.
same . Also on which GSM Modem will it Work , I've

A real server would have its own hardware and software to pipe directly into the network of a telco, and a contract with that telco to use their network to send messages.

  • SMS in JAVA

    Hi All
Can any one please help me how can i send SMS using JSP/JAVA
What are hardware/software requirements for the same
    Some Code/Site please
    Its Urgent!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
    Thanks
    Gagan

The answer is yes for now... u see unlike the smtp , pop3, imap that was built into the javamail api..if u need to send sms using java u'll have to obtain a third party software which u'll integrate into your java application to enable u to send sms.
same goes for fax also...there are few third party companies thta specialize in such..e.g simplewire (www.simplewire.com) rFax (www. .com) e.t.c all u need do for simplewire is download their sms sdk and add it to ur classpath...type ur java app to send sms.
Note u'll have to pay in some cases ..becuase ur sms application connects to their wireless messaging server to send the sms for you..some charge a little for such or u can simply purchase the wireless massaging server.
I hope i have cleared all these doubts about sms, fax.e.t.c
    Thanks All

Help appreciatede First thing you need to check: are you able to access other services my connecting you mobile by USB to machine (Line GPRS, calling). Because it requires the calling or SMS port access. And you said it is economical by sending SMS using mobile it depends. But most of the times, it is better to use the SMS service provider getway. They provide the details either http or FTP, we just need to put or message in the accepitng form, rest of the things are done by the service provide.

  • How to implement a SMS and WAP Gateway  ?

    Folks Hi !!
I'm a newbie at wireless Java, but I am interested to know how can I implement a gateway application/server that works both as an SMS and WAP gateway.
I've read some documents on Kannel(open source WAP gateway), but I am interested to know if there are any resources available that would be of help to implement one in Java (API for SMS, WAP etc).
The second question I have is:
Where do CIMD2, SMPP, UCP etc. come into Messaging picture ? Do they complement WAP for sending/receving SMS ?(pls excuse me, if I sound weird, I am trying to make sense of things :p )
I appreciate any help or suggestions to resources.
Thanks a ton in advance !!
    Cheers :)

An SMS Gateway needs to communicate with the SMSC using some way or another. You have many options:
1- Connect a simple GSM phone to the serial port of your pc and use it to send and receive messages.
2- A GSM modem (like Nokia Premicell, Siemens M20..)
3- Connect directly to the SMSC.
If you choose the third option, then there must be a specific protocol to use to talk to the SMSC. Your SMSC might support one or more of these protocols:
1- SMPP (The good java api for this protocol is available http://opensmpp.logica.com)
    2- UCP (see: http://www.cmg.com)
    3- CIMD2 (see: http://www.nokia.com)

The best place to ask your question is at the JSMS website, forum or mailing list since this is no error that directly comes from a class belonging to the core Java classes.

    - Try another cable. The cable for 5G iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

  • Whats is difference between Java JRE  and  Java SDK

    Hi,
what is the difference between Java JRE and Java SDK...
i think both of them have the same set of files to be installed...
I am not able to understand where they differ

The JRE (Java runtime Environment) contains just the stuff necessary to run Java and the SDK (System Development Kit) contains the extra stuff necessary (and also helpful) to develop in Java.

  • What is difference between C# Gzip and Java swing GZIPOutputStream?

    Hi All,
I have a Java swing tool where i can compress file inputs and we have C# tool.
I am using GZIPOutputStream to compress the stream .
I found the difference between C# and Java Gzip compression while a compressing a file (temp.gif ) -
After Compression of temp.gif file in C# - compressed file size increased
while in java i found a 2% percentage of compression of data.
Could you please tell me , can i achieve same output in Java as compared to C# using GZIPOutputStream ?
    Thank a lot in advance.

Does java provides a better compression than C#?no idea, i don't do c# programming. and, your question is most likely really: "does java default to a higher compression level than c#".
Btw what is faster compression vs. better compression?meaning, does the code spend more time/effort trying to compress the data (slower but better compression) or less time/effort trying to compress the data (faster but worse compression). most compression algorithms allow you to control this tradeoff depending on whether you care more about cpu time or disk/memory space.

  • What is the diffrence between package javax.sql and java.sql

    Is javax designed for J2EE?
And when to use package javax?

    Hi,
What is the diffrence between package javax.sql and java.sql? The JDBC 2.0 & above API is comprised of two packages:
    1.The java.sql package and
    2.The javax.sql package.
java.sql provides features mostly related to client
side database functionalities where as the javax.sql
    package, which adds server-side capabilities.
You automatically get both packages when you download the JavaTM 2 Platform, Standard Edition, Version 1.4 (J2SETM) or the JavaTM 2, Platform Enterprise Edition, Version 1.3 (J2EETM).

thnxClasses and interfaces are not identified by just their "name", like Runnable. The actual "name" the compiler uses is java.lang.Runnable. So even if you duplicate the Runnable interface in your own package, it's not the same as far as the compiler is concerned, because it's in a different package.
    Try importing both java.util.* and java.awt.* (which both have a class or interface named List), and then try to compile List myList = new ArrayList();

  • Java SE and Java EE

I am a IT graduate and I still need some clarification on the relationship between Java SE and Java EE API. Does EE include SE?
For application development, I know I can use only SE without the EE, but can I use EE alone without SE?
Any good articles addressing my questions?
    Thank you very much
    R

Java EE in fact extends java SE, its primarily aim is to simplify developing multitier enterprise applications (Java SE provides all the necessary basic libraries etc.)
Because Java EE is an extension of Java SE, you cant use EE without SE - without SE there is no EE.
