SMS Calendar Reminder App needed

There seems to me to be an obvious need for an App that will automatically send an Sms reminder for calendar events on the Blackberry. It would need to integrate with thebBlackberry Calendar. Unless I have missed the obvious there currently isn't one. Does anyone know of any such solution? Thanks for any and all advice.

AFAIK there has never been any application capable of doing this upon Symbian devices unfortunately.

  • Calendar and reminder app problems with alerts

I’m new to iphone and i have a scenario i need some help with.  Suppose I schedule an event in my calendar for 8 pm tonight and set the reminder for 5 pm tonight.  Then I schedule a different event using the reminders app for 9 pm tonight and set the reminder for 6 pm tonight.  At this point I have 2 different events at different times using 2 different apps. I then power down my phone for 2 days. When I turn it back on, these 2 reminders do not “pop up” or work.  Is this how these 2 apps are supposed to work?  In other words, if you power off your phone during a period of time when reminders are set , you “lose” them?   If this is how they work (for better or for worse), does anyone know of a stand alone calendar/reminder/scheduling app that would work in this scenario?  I would also like to have the ability to set custom reminder time periods and custom snooze time periods.
Thanks for your time and help.

If you set the appointment and reminder for tonight, then turn the phone off for two days, why would a reminder for an event in the past pop up when you turn the phone back on? I can't think of an app that would give you reminders for things that have already happened. But, there are a lot of apps out there.
For an app that gives you more options, try Week Cal.

  • I have a new IPAD. There are no "list", "date," and "add a reminder" buttons on the Reminder app. There are also no "calendar" and "add an event" bottons on the Calendar App. Why?

I just bought a new IPAD. There are no "list", "date," and "add a reminder" buttons on the Reminder App. There are also no  "calendar" and "add an event" buttons on the Calendar App. Why? Is there a way to add either a reminder or an event?

For the reminders app - just tap on an open space on the ruled paper window under the heading in order to create a new reminder. Or tap on the + sign in the upper right corner of the app. You do not have the + sign on the app?
For the calendars app to go Settings>iCloud>Calendars>On. Toggle the setting on and off and the + sign should appear in the lower right corner of the calendars app. Tap the + sign to create a new event.

  • Apple calendar reminder is really poor

Apple calendar reminder is really poor, it makes a beep ones and then its gone... pleeeease apple, include the option that the user will be reminded until canceling the reminder. I have never forgot so much things as when I bought the Iphone..
And on the locked screen I would like to have all my calendar meetings for the complete day.
now it only shows the current calendar meeting that just happends, and only for a short time... then it goes away.
When I put something in my Calendar then I want to have this as a "to do" list for the day..
Pleeease Apple, I like your phone a lot, but Pleeeeeease lets help out and make the calendar usefull.
I am used to have Nokia, and there it was good. And all my friends have the same opinion.
Lets bring Iphone to the leading position in the market!
    Kind Regards Fredrik

Many thanks for your reply :-))
Calendar alarm tone can be configured
Settings > Sounds > Calendar Alerts
-yep, this is not the big problem
You can set the alarm before the event twice.
    -how? :-)
Use Reminder app for your To-Do list.
-Does Reminder app sync with the Calendar? I add most of the reminders in outlook on the computer..
There are tons of Calendar apps in the App Store which might suit your particular needs.
    -found no one that works...
The iPhone is already leading in the smart phone market (in revenue)
-Nop.. most other smart phones has this functions... only apple is 7 years behind... (I had it perfect on my nokia)
By the way, there's no apple here, just us users.
    -sad....

  • Regarding new Reminder app in Mountain Lion:  is there a away to sort reminders by due date in the same fashion you can in the iCloud version of Reminders?

Regarding new Reminder app in Mountain Lion:  is there a way to sort reminders in due date order in the same fashion as you can in the iCloud version of Reminders?

So true! I have to agree: "It appears Reminders in 10.8 did not get a whole lot of thought put into it regarding how folks actually use reminders."
With Mountain Lion, Reminders no longer resembles a task-management (to-do) app in any way. I used to be able to limp along using it for my to-dos (although it never did accommodate this need well). This upgrade has made Reminders completely unusable for task management.
Once I got over my disappointment, I did some research and decided to try "Things." This application has all the functionality I've been wanting all along. It has a Mac version, an iPhone version, and an iPad version (among others)--and it keeps all devices synched via the Cloud (just not the iCloud ... but who needs the i ?). I wish I'd discovered it years ago. I'm glad now that Mountain Lion put Reminders over the edge; otherwise, I would not have made this discovery.
"Things" (oddly named though it is) comes close to the old Franklin planner software I used to love and haven't been able to find a substitute for. It can import items from Reminders, and it works with Siri. It's a joy to use, and it does everything I want it to do plus some things I never thought of and will use all the time. I downloaded the free trial version last night and within an hour paid for it with gratitude.

  • My Reminder app won't open. It worked for a few days but later on it doesnt work anymore! tried rebooting my and updated it but it still wont open. When I try opening it, it crashes. What do I doooo? Please help me.

My Reminder app won't open In ipad mini 2. It worked for a few days but later on it didn't work anymore! tried rebooting and updating it but it still wont open. When I try opening it, it crashes. What do I doooo? Please help me.

Try to force quit the app
Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.

  • Unwanted Lists appearing in Reminder App

Recently, I have been getting random, unwanted List titles appearing in my Reminder App. TheY all look like this with varying numbers and letters:
    E598B0B0-BBDA-46B5-98E8-5FD44DCC150D
I have deleted them, but them keep reappearing out of nowhere. I am talking about dozens and dozens of Lists with no content. It's cluttering up the Reminders app and is driving me crazy. Any clue what is causing this?
    Many thanks for any suggestions,
    Joe

I don't know if this will apply to you or not, it certainly won't be of any help because I never did figure out how to fix it.
Anyway, I have my hubby's yahoo email and calendar set up on my phone. I noticed that in those settings there was an option to turn on Reminders. I thought, oh cool, if we set up reminders on our phones, it will be pushed to each others phone like the calendar. Not. In Reminders, there was a page listed with his email addy on it and everytime I would add something to that page it would disappear. A couple of days later a couple of pages showed up in Reminders on his phone with a huge string of number and letters in the heading where the email address had been. I never did get it to work right and just turned it off on both phones. I don't know if what I was tryng to do was just wishful thinking or if it was a glitch. I think odds are its about 50/50.

  • Which Calendars do I need to keep ?

Here is the situation for my wife's calendars..  MBP has Entourage and that is the primary calendar.  We have that syncing to her iPhone.
We are on the latest software on every device. We had a lot of trouble gettign syncing going, but it appears we have everyting talking for moment.  The result of all of this is that we have multipule claendars on the iPhone and the MBR, though only one for Entourage.
We sync via wifi and the phone backs up to iCloud.
So now we have all of these calendars and I have unchecked most of them to get rid of duplicate events and want to start deleteing the extras.
We have work, Calendar, Home, Entourage ( 2 of these ) unnamed and maybe a few more that I missed. Some of htese are under the heading of On My Mac and some under iCloud.
Which calendars do I need to keep?  We only really need one calendar that is synced to all devices.
Thanks in advance for any help.

To which built in app are you referring?
I own an iphone 4s, ipad2, and i have the same synchronization problem.  If I add an event on icloud, it doesn't automatically appear on  my apple devices.  Interesteingly, events put on icloud DO appear on my windows laptop with outlook.  Similarly, if I add an event in outlook, it quicly appears on icloud, but doesn't populate my iphone or ipad2.  ***.
To address this, I have performed a soft reset, refreshed the calendar on my ipad and iphone.  In addition I have gone into settings>mail, contacts, calendars> and changed the sync settings of my calendar.  These steps were done in accordance with another post I saw here on the forums.  It fixed things temporarily, but now back to square 1.
    Seems like an iOS problem.
    Any suggestions are welcome.

  • Mail, Contacts, Calendar and App Store Not Opening in Yosemite

After 24 hours of buggy overall operation several of the apps stopped working.  Specifically Mail, Contacts, Calendar and App Store do not launch.  I had same problem with Omnifocus but was able to restore it after a fresh download.
I have tried the standard methods -- (multiple) restarts, Repair permission, fsck -fy, etc.  but now need to appeal to "higher power" for help.
I am assuming that without App Store, there is no way to re-download and install Yosemite.  So my first question would be -- how to I get Yosemite without App Store?  I need to sort this out for future updates as well, including the inevitable 10.10.01
Until that is fixed, I'd also like to know if there is a work around for getting Mail, Contacts and Calendars are restored.
    Help!
I am on mid 2010 Macbook Pro 15" 2.66 with 8 GB of memory, 256 GB SSD (OS) and 500 GB Hard Drive. (Data)

Update - Checked Messages, it too does not load.
Strangely -- Safari and Preview are both working fine.

  • Reminder app not working

My reminder app not working on my ipad mini. It would let me add reminders but it won't keep it. It automatically erases any reminder i put in. Also it wouldn't let me add any list. I just noticed it today. I also tried to reset it but it wouldn't help. Any ideas about this?

No I'm not syncing my calendar. I tried to reset (like your instructions) just now, I also tried going to setting to reset it but so far it still not working. Any alternative?

  • E71 (S60) Calendar reminder alarm too long (1 minu...

Using an E71, but suspect this is an S60 issue:
Why does the Calendar reminder alarm last for an entire minute repeat the tone continuously until 60 seconds have elapsed? While other alarms like sms, email only invoke the tone once?
As an ex-Palm Treo user, I was used to being able to set the number of times I can repeat the tone (e.g. 1, 2 ,3 times).
How do I configure the phone such that the calendar reminder only triggers the (e.g. beep) tone, 2 or 3 times? I couldn't find any config on that. Is there any work-around or 3rd party software that can do this?

I also have this. My outlook calendar is the key and I like to have reminders. The fact that the alarm goes of during 1 minute sound is terribly annoying, I'd just like to have a reminder with a SMS-like sound, something I can customize at least (sound + duration + number of times it repeats...).
Anyone has info about this? I am using a E71 too.

  • Snoozing a calendar reminder

I can snooze a calendar reminder but I stop recieving the reminders after the start time; why?  I want the reminder until I tell it I no longer need it.

ill try it out and let you know.
i know that i fyou let it keep going, it automaticaly  will snooze and the redo the alarm....the sound was different and i found out by not getting up, but thinkinng....that's a wierd sound!

  • Nokia 710 - alarm/reminder help needed

I'm new to Nokia 710 Lumia.  I don't like to have my phone switched on overnight.   I want to set various daily reminders so that when my phone is switched on they activate with a continuous alarm (until turned to snooze or off by me) even if the reminder time has passed.
My Nokia alarm will only activate if the phone is switched on before the reminder time is due (not after) and various reminders I've tried only beep once and not continuously which is what I need.
Does anyone know of an alarm/reminder app which has a continuous alarm and will also activate if  the phone is switched on after the reminder time has passed?

I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS6.  In the process, I ran into a problem and had to restore factory settings.  After syncing the phone, I see that 218 apps need to be updated. When selecting "update all," it says "Cannot Download.  There is not enough available local storage to download these items.  You can manage your local device storage usage in Settings."
How can this be the case when I haven't changed any apps from before updrading to iOS6, and I don't have any music yet on the phone?  Why is it telling me there is not enough local space?

    Hi RileyAvaCadenRiver,
If you recently updated your iPhone to iOS7, you will need to update iTunes on your computer to iTunes 11.1 or newer for it to correctly recognize the iPhone. You may find the following link helpful:
