SMS+ call block works too well

I'm having what appears to be the opposite problem as a lot of you with the SMS/call blocker - it's blocking 90% of my incoming calls and messages. These aren't hidden or anonymized senders; most of the time, they're in my contacts list. Lumia 822 Amber with the GDR 3 dev preview (which I fully understand may be the source of the problem).

The only blocking software I have is what's built into WP8. I'm not a big apps guy.

i had no problems installing itunes 9. whatever, in fact, it works so well, that every shortcut on my computer now points to itunes. I can access nothing else. Every .lnk file on my computer is now an itunes shortcut.
i've uninstalled it and reinstalled it a number of times, and always have the same trouble.

Talke to your phone carrier especially if your having cellular data issue in your apartment.

4.0 does not work too well...

Since downloading 4.0, I've had lots of problems with page loading, Trackpad gestures, scrolling. having to click a new page to make it active, pointer does strange things on any page and a host of other minor but none the less irritating issues.
I've had to revert back to 3.6.16 to get the browser to work again.
Sorry but I've gone back to using Safari as my default browser until these issues with 4.0 can be resolved.

Repeated clearing of the history and cache seems to have cleared up the problem. I still do not know why it reacted that way though.

WRT54GX2 Timed Access Restrictions work too well

I have set three access restrictions applicable to both a laptop (ethernet and wireless MAC addresses) and a desktop. They all work the first time; however, once they shut off internet access, they don't permit reconnection at the time they should. The time functions all seem to be set correctly and working properly. Is it possible that I am somehow "overloading" by having three separate MAC addresses for each access policy? Should I limimt each policy to one MAC address? Thanks.

Yep, I have the same problem. No answer yet on the thread I opened. I have 2 policies with 2 MAC addresses from a wireless network listed. It locks them at the right time, but when the morning comes, they remain locked. It didn't work the first 2 days, then it worked for 2 days, then it failed this weekend again. Just logging into the router doesn't solve it. Either a reboot (pull the power cord and plug it back in) or a re-save of the config (without even making any changes) also makes access available again.
It has to be a bug. The config is pretty cut and dried. Of course, it could be a clock problem if the router doesn't know what time it is! Not sure exactly how to troubleshoot that one. I've checked the logs, and they have the right time stamp in them, so I don't think this is what's happening.

I was charging it from 1300-2300 (10 hours) since the apple logo wasn't coming up but that lightning bolt sign appeared.
When I came back, my phone just has a black screen and isn't turning on.
The top menu button is practically useless and I've retries connecting it to iTunes but it doesn't even do that
I've had this iPhone for more than 3 years and with time it's worn on and so the menu button has faltered and I dunno what to do.
What can I do for it to turn on again??

Delete record works too well !

I've done this before successfully several times but now something strange is happening. I've stared at this for a couple of hours now and don't see what I'm missing, it must be something blindingly obvious.
I created a page showing all records in a table using a repeating region. I added a column with a big red X image so that users can delete the record by clicking on the "X". This links to a delete page which displays the record and asks "Are you sure" the user clicks "Yes" and the record should be deleted.
What's happening is when the user clicks on the big red X the record is deleted and control is returned back to the page showing all records. I know it's going to the confirmation page as I tried removing the Delete Record behavior and it successfully displays the record I want to delete. I tried creating a new delete page from scratch to delete the record just in case there was something left over from the page I started with to create the delete page in the first place, same result.
Anyone have any clues? I'm using DW CS4, PHP, MySQL and Win 7

I've installed a button in my Firefox tool bar to toggle iFrames on and off through a Firefox add-on called "Toolbar Buttons".
The forum Reply Editor does not work when iFrames are blocked, so I need to toggle them back on when posting, then back off. I imagine that's better than having them on all the time.

Anonymous Call block not working

I had the 'Anonymous call block' feature included with my bundle but I am still getting calls from anonymous callers, telemarketers of course, on a daily basis.

You received some things that should help. at the top of all the folders is a disclaimer "These Forums are a peer-to-peer support channel in which users help other users. If you need an answer from Verizon directly please Contact Us. ".
If you are here wanting someone at Verizon to answer "how my order was never filled correctly to begin with and that I am in fact paying for services not rendered." then you are unlikely to ever find an answer here.
People here are good at helping others solve problems and a few Verizon staffers chime in with solutions as well but the specific question you are looking for an answer to won't likely get answered.
Hope you get things working the way you want. I hate telemarketers as well. Fortunately the donotcall list has been working pretty well for me.

My Quad is as quiet with 10.4.5 as it was on arrival Jan 31, with 10.4.2
Altivec Fractal Carbon gives the CPU too much chance to cool down. I've got other ways to drive the CPU to sustained 100% load. Yes, the fans speed up, but it's still pretty quiet. I've run it at 100% for hours.
I like the idea of taking things gradually. If you can wait a few days before making big changes, it can make things much easier. 3-4 weeks is very conservative, but great if you have that much patience.
My Quad has been up full-time since I got it. Works perfectly.

Call blocking. SMS blocking.

I am looking for an app (or workaround) that will enable my iPhone to block selected callers, either incomming calls or SMS.
So, nothing shows up on my phone. Calls go straight to voicemail. SMS messages DO NOT pop ups.
On my old Treo I could do this via app called Call Shiled. worked great.
I am aware I can do this thru my carrier for a cost per number.
I also aware of airplane mode.
FWIW. My iPhone "smartphone" ain't much smarter than my treo circa 2006.

Call Blocking does not. Is this just a scam too?

Verizon call blocking is a useless 'service', dozens of calls come through with no phone number at all on the caller ID, something Verizon specifically states it will NOT DO. Any ideas?
Verizon call blocking does not address scammers and money-seekers who have caller ID of "Not-Available' -- honestly my dog could figure out how to block these but Verizon cannot. Besides paying more money to someone else, is there any hope for the people who expected the Verizon service would work?

Scam no. A service that needs to be update to the 21th Century, yes. Still based on early callerid tecnhnology which is easily bypassed by all those so called "telemarketers" . You should have now trouble with ligitimate callers, but lots of illegal calls come in.

Using *77 to set 'anonymous' or 'unknown' call blocking is not working

Per instructions from Verizon, I used *77 to turn on anonymous call blocking last night. I dialed *77, and got a voice telling me that I have enabled anonymous call blocking.
However, it's NOT working. When I call home from my office, it shows up in caller ID as "unavailable"; shouldn't a call that is identified as 'unavailable' be blocked with this service? Does anyone understand why this would be the case? Are all 'unavailable calls' the same?

Unavavailable/unknown calls and anonymous/private calls are two different things. Anonymous calls are calls from someone who has chosen to block their telephone number from being displayed on your caller ID screen. This means the caller has dialed *67 before dialing your phone number (or they have what is called line blocking where all their outgoing caller id info is automatically blocked without them having to dial *67 before every call). *77 is used to block anonymous/private calls and force the caller to allow their caller id info to come through to your phone in order for the call to complete.
Unavailable/unknown calls are calls in which no caller id information has been sent. These are generally from collection agencies or telemarketers. *77 will not block these calls in any way. The only services which will block or screen these calls are Call Intercept or Do Not Disturb.

Call blocking doesn't work

      I keep getting phone calls from {edited for privacy} the caller ID says Washington. They claim to be a pharmacy trying to sell Viagra and pain medications. I get between 2 to 4 calls per day and told them on numerous times.
      I added the number to my digital call blocking account and the calls still come thru. I contacted Verizon support and their answer was that the call blocking feature doesn't block long distance calls!!!! What kind of B.S. answer is that???
      If Verizon is going to offer a service than it should work, regardless if the call is local or long distance. If it'll only work for local calls than these digital FIOS features are WORTHLESS,,

Did you place your number on the Federal Do Not Call list?   If so, file a case and make some money off them.    If not, what are you waiting for?    You did not state if the incoming number was actually a domestic phone number or from an area code / country code outside of the United States.
Additionally, next time they call, note the exact day and time, ask for the call back number, company name,the operator's name or identification number, and then very specifically state "I do not wish to receive these calls from your company. Place me immediately on your DO NOT CALL list and do not call again. Future calls will be referred to the appropriate authorities for legal action.   Do you understand and acknowledge receipt of this directive?"
After that, keep good records and file a complaint as appropriate.
