SMS receiving time problem

I just bought an IPhone 4. I am from India. There is one issue that all the sms's received display the time of receipt 4.5 hrs behind the correct time. I have worked around with the time zones etc and all seem to be fine. Kindly advice.

I don't think there is any other setting like setting the time zone in your phone.. so nothing more... By the way is the time difference/delay remaining constant for all the nessages or changing ? and if constant by how much minutes ?

Asha 302 shows SMS received time, not sent

Hi, my 302 always shows the time an SMS was received, not sent. This makes it difficult when I have to turn my phone off, as when I then turn it back on, the messages come through as the time the phone was turned back on, not the time the message was actually sent. Is there any way to fix this? The date & time settings are all fine, and my service network is set to auto update, but still doesn't fix the issue.

WEB SMS receiving problem. Please, give me some help.

Hi, i´m having a problem with web sms receiving. I receive sms from another cellphones but i cant receive the web sms. Is there a fix for this?
I have a lot of services that send me web sms, like internet banking and others, so i cant use my services because my iphone cant receive this sms from web.

The code is too complex, so I can put all code at here. sorry.
The logic is:
a frame has a JDialog object,and show the JDialog object if need,all controls were added to the JDialog in the function jbInit() when the JDialog object was created.
The point that I want to know is what reasons may cause the problem.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

E50 receiving-time of sms

I recently changed from another Nokia phone to the E50. Previously, the receiving time of messages shown was always the real time of sending, even when my phone was shut off or standby. Now, on the E50, the time shown is the recent time of turning on the phone. I don´t know if understand well the problem. But could be a different time zone on that phone or the backup battery with problems. The first one, you can change that on Tools - Settings, the second one, the phone must go to a Nokia Service.

Sms arriving time

Hi.
I'm an Italian guy and I've got Nokia C7. Since I had it i found a problem in sms arriving time and I'd like to know if it is just a problem of mine or if everyone have it.
I'll try to explain: if i shut down my phone or if it hasn't connectivity and someone send me an sms, when i get it i can't know when it was sent, but just when it arrived. Can i solve this trouble?

The phone always reports for received SMS when it was actually received on the phone. Not the time/date when it was sent and stored at the network operator (if it cannot be delived to the phone due to, for example, the phone being off). In a way, this is correct; you didn't receive the message while the phone was off, but only when you turned it on, so the time/date is correct as far as it being the receipt time/date is concerned.
There is nothing you can do to change this behaviour, but Nokia would have to change the phone software (in a firmware update) to show both timestamps, or instead of the actual receipt time/date, show the sent time/date.
As far as I recall, all Nokia phones have behaved like this always (allthough, I haven't checked if the Windows Phone models do it this way, too, or not), so Nokia seems to think this is the "right" way.

Text Message with sent/receive time

I had a LG Voyager before the DX. When I got a text message it would show the time when the sender sent the message and the time I received it. So if I turned my phone on at 10 am and somebody sent a text at 8 am it would show sent at 8 received at 10. I noticed the DX doesn't do this. I looked in the marketplace for a app that could probaly do this but could not find one. Does anybody know of one or do I need to do something in the settings.

It looks like "SMS Time Fix" is to address the old issues of Timezone offsets not working properly.
I did find an app called "SMS Timestamper Fix" on the market that is suppose to help address this issue.
Google really needs to store both times in the message database and make them available to the applications.
I also ran across this patch which is suppose to patch the Android OS to store the sent time as opposed to the received time.

SMS receive on N80 with Cingular/AT&T Wireless

Anybody have issues with Cingular blue?
For me I just don't receive SMS on time.
cingular tells me it's because I'm using an unlocked phone on their network but I know that's rubbish.
Does anybody know exactly how my phone picks up SMS messages?
It's just not working like it should.

Rather than start a new post - the friendly folks at my local Apple Store told me that this sort of device won't work. I specifically mentioned that I wanted to use my USB wireless device with my Airport Extreme and said that I had read (this post) on the forums that a USB to Ethernet "converter" was mentioned like the one in the prior reply. So I guess the question is - has anyone tried one and did it work for them?

Message sent time problem

i have message sent time problem on my N73
the time is not correct in my message detail whenever i try to check it,note that it is message SENT time not RECEIVE time.however,other phones operate correctly even other brands of nokia like 1110.
please help me how can i get the correct time ?
moreover i iam in iran and set my time for iran

It's a bug that every N73 owners have.
Don't know why they didn't fix this until now, perhaps the didn't noticed this bug yet.

Nokia 3120 classic (message received time is wrong...

Hi.. got some problems with my nokia 3120 classic. I bought my fone 2 wks ago and decide to upgrade my fone to new firmware version which is 7.16, after the fone was updated i noticed that whenever i received txt messages, the received time is wrong.. it is i think 8 hrs late.. I'm txting my friends and when they reply, the received time display is wrong. Is this a bug for the new version? It's not synchronizing in my phone clock. Of course my phone clock is ok.. Message sent time is ok but the received time is wrong. Any suggestions? Pls help..

ok.. i've figured out already the problem. it's not on the software update but it is due to the GMT. i noticed that even your dates and time are correct, you must set your correct timezone from what country you were. if the auto update time and date is on, i think it varies on the timezone u set on ur fone so if your timezone is wrong, the message receive time is wrong too. well i already solved this.

Sms receiver list on 5800

I'm sorry to bother you people again! In 5800 is there any way to use recent sms receiver list? * I basically send sms frequently to some of my friends. It could be easier if there is recent sms receiver list so that I donot need to enter the number manually or select from phone book again and again

I agree with you, but I don't know of any solution.
The only thing that I can think of is that you can use the Contacts Bar homescreen option. That will allow you to have your top four contacts on top at all times. (I will also admit that this would be more useful if it had the 20 contact functionality of the newly announced 5530).
My solution for what you are saying is that I just keep my 5-6 most frequently texted friends in my inbox regardless of when the message arrives. Then I just hit reply.

Receiver Time error in adapter Module in PI 7.31

I am trying working on adapter module that accomplish Message id, Sender Interface name,Receiver Interface name sent time and receiver time.
I got all values in my file except receiver time .I have failed to get exact receiver time.
sent time shows as 2014 04 24 05:28:57
receiver time as 1969 12 31 19:00:00
when ever message triggers its shows same receiver time(1969 12 31 19:00:00) ,I have placed my adapter module in JMS and File adapters,but i am getting same time in message receiver time .
Please help me how to get exact message receiver time.

X301 post BIOS / Model Number update System Time problems

Dear community,
I recently updated my BIOS using the thinkvantage flash BIOS utility for no reason other than it appeared on the update utility. I also updated the model number, once again for no real reason other than update pleasure. Now, everything works perfectly fine on the system, and I have no problems EXCEPT:
I use New York Times Adobe Air product called "Times Reader". Since the update, when I try to log into the Times Reader I get an error that states "Authentication Error. Check that your system time is set correctly." In the pre-boot set up screen the time seems to be set right, and in the windows utility the time is set correctly. So my questions is,
after a BIOS flash / Model # update, does the system time function need some re-boot / update?

Well I still dunno what the problem was. It seemed as if the system would have to be running for a day or two before it would start to speed up, as if it was actually gaining a few milliseconds cumulatively every second...
Anyway, through other testing (OC & such) I flashed to 1.5B5 and it is running pretty good, and seems to have fixed the time problem.
On a side note, 1.5B5 is the first BIOS that actually makes Cool 'N Quiet work (to underclock to 1GHz at idle & dynamically OC when needed).
If anyone has experienced this time issue, please post findings! For now, it's fixed for me, so I'm not going to worry about it
