SMS: Skype setup to provide a reply phone number

How can I set up Skype to allow the msg receiver to reply and getting automatically my regular cell phone number as the 'send' address?

Hey David, I finally got through to customer service again on Monday, and he was luckily able to help me.
I never got an answer to why there was a problem in the first place though, but at least my subscription is up and running again!

I just encountered this problem for the first time and stumbled upon this forum to find a solution. I played around with it a bit and it seems that if you slide your finger from the bottom up, you will come upon that new screen that will allow you to do various functions with your phone (put it in airport mode, lock, etc.), you can select your Airport from this screen and play your music wirelessly from your phone; at least this was my experience. Hope this helps!

Skype credit not applied to my phone number account

I few month age I purchased $10.00 credit. I showed up in my Skype account as a credit, the $10.00 plus whatever credit I have to my phone number. When I make calls on my Skype number it will it will debit my account balance until I approach the $10,00 amount and then autochaged without using the $10,00. How do I move the $10.00 to apply to my Skype number account?

Associating Skype's user name with the phone number!

Hello there, I always love using Skype but I haven't been using it that much recently due to the rise of other video chat apps like FaceTime. I think one of the struggles that Skype users face is the need to know their friends exact user name or email address. In my opinion, adding the ability to associate Skype user name with a phone number (like Whatsapp & FaceTime) would make it much more convenient and will help Skype to spread to more users especially with the availability on all phones OS.

here, I'll throw in a frame you can use by adding the meat of the script into it:

You'll need to figure out how to fill out the foreach loop yourself (there are plenty of learning ressources here on technet to do so on your own), or wait until someone else cheats and tells you more ;).
Noticed that I changed the "Get-Content" into "Import-Csv"? It alters the way you receive the data. Suffice to say, Import-Csv is cooler when dealing with Csv files. Try out these two commands (after declaring the path variable to your csv file) to see the
difference:
(Get-Content $path)[1] | FL *
(Import-Csv $path)[0] | FL *
Another thing you used is the add-pssnapin command. What this does is load the Quest Commands to access the Active Directory. For it to work, you need to have these installed. There is a Microsoft native command set that is available on all computers that
have an AD Management Console. Either of those will work, if you meet the stated prerequisites. Both are best placed at the head of the script. Here are the two commands again for reference:
# Load Quest AD Cmdlets
Add-PSSnapin quest.activeroles.admanagement
# Load Microsoft AD Cmdlets
Import-Module ActiveDirectory

I'm exhausted of trying to find a solution to a problem created by Apple. I have moved to icloud following all your instructions and now I can not use my mobile me e-mail address. I can not activate icloud because when I put my e-mail address it answers that somebody is already using my address. I have my old e-mails, but I can not receive any e-mail or send them.
I have contacted Apple Technical Support in Spain and I was sent an e-mail saying that I have to call a phone number and when I call it is always an answering machine who answers that says that I have to pay 50€ for a consultation or wait for 10 minutes. When I have made the consultation it was never mentioned that I have to pay 50€ for a phone consultation. If I don't want to wait I have to pay for the Apple Tecnical Support which cost 250 €, this was not mentioned in the technical support page.
Can somebody let me know how can I contact Apple in another way in order to talk with a human being or chat directly? I was very happy just using my mobileme e-mails, I didn't need any clouds and I was force by Apple to registered if I want to continue using my mobileme e-mail address.

Can I buy Apple technical support hours to get something like this resolved, perhaps manually corrected by Apple?
Whether I include the “1” country code or not, I get the message “Please specify a valid mobile phone number.” If I try to add it as an evening phone number, I get, “Please specify a valid evening phone number.”

Hey, I'm having the same Google Voice issue but was unable to resolve it by changing my phone number after disabling javascript in Safari. Exactly where did you go to change your phone number? The only thing I could find involving a phone number was the one associated with my Apple ID. So I logged into my Apple ID via web browser and did as Caid199 said, but no luck. Even borrowed a friend's phone and used that number instead; still nothing. That makes me think that the phone number associated with your Apple ID and iCloud are different, but am unable to find anything anywhere involving a number associated with iCloud.
Now I'm unable to sign out of iCloud on my laptop (with clean Mavericks install 10.9.1) AND my iPhone. On Mavericks, in System Preferences > iCloud, I'm unable to uncheck Keychain, it just turns itself back on (says "Waiting for approval from other device" underneath). When I try to sign out it throws a dialouge, "Your iCloud account could not be removed at this time". On iOS (7.0.4), in iCloud Settings, Keychain just says "Pending" and if I try and turn if off in there it freezes up for a second, briefly turns off, then turns right back on. ITS AN ENDLESS LOOP Any advice?

SMS not showing my phone number

When I send an SMS the recipient does not see my verified number only a 5 digit number.
I have set it up in my SMS options correctly so should show my phone number.
I send predominently to French mobiles. As does my husband and his works fine.

Skype has to rely on the destination network provider's support to show the Sender ID that you have set up. There might be certain providers that have not implemented this correctly. Do you happen to know which French mobile provider network your friend is using?

SMS and Outlook Phone Number Extenstion

I don't know if this is a N95 or a PC Suite problem.
I have used different computers, PC Suite versions and N95 firmware versions to test this.
I create a contact in Outlook and add a phone number.
For examle:
Country: Germany
Area Code: 123
Phone Number: 4567
Extension: 89
This is shown as +49 (123) 4567 x 89 in Outlook and
this is synced as +49 (123) 4567 x 89 to my N95.
I like the x so I can see the extension easily. But when I
try to write a SMS and select this contact and the phone
number, I always get "Invalid Contact details: ..."
Is this a problem with my N95 or with the PC Suite? I cannot
enter the "x" manually in my phone so I think this shouldn't
be synced. But it would be nice if I could enter it.

I pretty much agree. I have an N95 and also use Outlook 2003. I sync using PC Suite (6.85.14.1). I'm pretty sure I did not have this problem with my previous phone (6680) but if I use the formatting for the phone numbers as provided by Outlook 2003, then they get synced to the N95 as something like +44 (07801) 123456. The N95 will not work with that number so I have to edit them before I can use them - tedious.
In fact, it is only necessary to delete the nought at the beginning of the area code, so +44 (7801) 123456, will work.
It would be very helpful if the N95 software could spot the international code and then ignore a following nought. Maybe that doesn't apply to all countries, but I guess it would help a lot of us!

No, you won't be able to transfer a number to Skype. Skype does not participate in number-portability schemes, so you would have to select a Danish number from what Skype has available.

Won't send my phone number

I have set Skype to send my cell phone number as my sender identity and had my phone number verified however my number does not show up. Instead the number 759-73 shows as the sender. I have no idea what thay number is as it is not my Skype name nor my personal cell phone number. What's next?

in case you didn't know, setting your mobile number to be used for outgoing Caller ID is not the same as configuring it for SMS callback purposes, and they are configured separately
you only need to 'verify' the number once but the code can be used to set up both
for the Windows desktop client, SMS callback is configured in Options (see Tools>Options>IM & SMS>SMS settings)

Edit contact phone number

One of my contacts changed her phone number, but Skype 6.-whatever won't let me remove the now wrong information. I can add all the numbers I want, but I need to drop the incorrect phone number, and it won't let me.

External Phone Number Mask Question

We have several phones with NonDID number on them. Our route pattern is setup to use an external phone number mask of the sites main number (1112223333). However on two of the phones, we would like to have a different number displayed (1112224444). We have tried to do this by entering this number (1112224444) into the extranal phone number mask of the DN on the 2 phone. This did not work, the main number (1112223333) is still being displayed (caller ID).
We know that we can just remove the external phone number mask from the route pattern and then enter one (external phone number mask) into every dn. But, is there an easlier way to accomplsish this (there are currently 50 phones at this site)?

Unless the checkbox for use the external calling party number is checked in the RP it's useless to set it on the phone.
You're sending the main number because most likely the checkbox is unchecked and as you mentioned you have hardcoded that mask.
Other than copying the RP, creating new partition and modifying CSS from those 2 phones, I would just check the checkbox on the RP and use BAT to change the external calling party mask on the DNs.
