SMS text that are received/sent are off my 2 hours.

I have a fairly new iphone 3GS and the time is displayed correctly on the phone and when I receive/send emails but it is 2 hours ahead on some of the SMS texts that i send and receive. This is happening between mine and my wifes iphone. It is becoming very annoying.
I have checked all the time settings on both iphones. I have turned "auto time" on/off numerous times. I have synced both iphones numerous times. And I have reset both iphone. Still no fix.
Is this an iphone problem? A telus network problem? Is the iphone displaying the time that the Telus cell tower said the SMS was sent?

I believe so, and the same for email which is determined at the incoming mail server for received messages and the outgoing mail server for sent messages.

Appointments are off by one hour

after syncing my i-phone my i-cal shows the appointments as one hour later. I-phone still shows them correctly. I checked and my macbook pro is set for EDT just like my i-phone.
Any solutions?

Should be an issue with the time zone settings on all Outlook clients involved.

If you are using Outlook 2010 you need to use a time zone with the correct DST settings for your location. If your location does not observe DST, do not choose a time zone that does then deselect the option to automatically update for daylight saving time.

Why do i keep getting texts that are not sent to me?

Well it started when i wanted to explore the new software (iOS 6.0) provided by Apple on my old iPhone 3Gs. i asked my dad to call me so i could try out the new feature in whitch you send messages straight from the lock-screen. so i sent the message "call you back later" (on of the default opitions) and the message went through. Then shortly after i received a message from my own contact name and that repeated the message as if someone else had sent it. so i sent myself a message on that chat and i looked on previous chats with my dad and it showed up as if he had sent it. i also received it from him this time.
this just started happening when the new software came out: (iOS 6.0). after this all happened i went through my texts history and there are conversations that i never had. all the conversations seem to be from my dad texting another person. as i am looking through all this i figure that i must have put his icloud username when i restarted my iphone. so i went to settings and deleted his acount from my phone replacing it with mine. after replacing it, the conversations were still there. i also receive a text message intended for my father. when my fater replies, my phone tells me that i had sent the message.

Why is my iPhone 4S breaking up SMS messages that are shorter than 160 characters?

With my iPhone 4S running 5.1, I'll tap out a message that reads on the character counter as less than 160 characters. When I press send, I hear the "sent message" swoosh sound happen twice, as it does when the phone splits a long message into multiple parts.
The recipient confirms that the message does get split into two parts even though its contents did not exceed 160 characters. Through some experimenting, I have determined that it happens with messages that exceed 120 characters. In cases of messages with lengths 120-160 characters, it cuts the last word off and sends it as a separate message.
Why is this happening?
(In addition, checking my Google Voice history also confirms that the messages get split up even though they do not exceed the character limit.)

I'm having the same exact issue. I've only noticed it since I upgraded to IOS 5.1. Unless the SMS message is very short, it gets broken into at least two separate messages when I hit send. I think this is happening even if the message I'm sending is less than 120 characters.
It doesn't bother me either, but like AmZam05 mentions, I feel bad for the recipient who is now getting mulitple SMS messages from me when they would get a single SMS message prior to me upgrading to IOS 5.1.
EDIT: Wanted to add that this is with a Sprint iPhone 4S w/ IOS 5.1. I've also found some forum threads elsewhere speaking of the same problem others are having. There seems to be a "workaround" for this by adding a few blank spaces at the end of your SMS text message, then sending it.

You need to change your apple ID password for the iPhone you sued to have. Go to appleid.apple.com then manage my ID

LG Cosmos phone can not send/receive texts that are typed

My family has 3 of the LG Cosmos phones and we cannot word text either the phones do not receive them even though our phones says we sent them. They even sometimes do not go through to our other phone which is an iphone.
We have reset, we have cleared memory, we have tried everything.
Funny thing is we can send picture texts without a problem and we can send the voice text messages and they all go through. They don't miss one. However, if we type the text message (as in normal text) only maybe 1 in every 8 goes through. This has been happening for 2 days now. Any suggestions? It does not matter if we are out or at home.

I know how important it is for your text messages to be received. We want to get to the bottom of this situation to get your messages to be delivered. Other than the messages being typed out, have you noticed any other similarities? Do you have any message signatures set? When the messages aren't delivered, are they going to other Verizon users or all providers? To those Verizon users, are the messages on your phone showing delivered? Please provide us a few more details so we can check what may causing the trouble.

Why are the texts that I receive from others (with apple products) grey in my message screen?

Why are the received texts in my messaging gray?? The ones I send are blue. My rec'd texts used to be green before ios7. Is this normal??

Those may be iMessages.
If you send normal messages those will be in green color.

How to get back windows that are off screen?

I use my macbook at work with one attached display, and then at home with a different attached display. The two extra displays are different sizes. A lot of times when I plug it into the smaller of the two displays, some of the windows come up off screen and I can't figure out how to drag them back on. For example now I have a Microsoft Word window where the bottom half is on the screen, and the top half is up above the top of the screen. The only way I know to move a window is to grab the top edge and drag it, but the top edge is off the screen so I can't do that.
Also sometimes a window is bigger than the screen height, and the only way I know to make it smaller is to drag the bottom right corner, but the bottom right corner is off the screen and the window height is bigger than the monitor height.
Is there a way to get these windows back all the way onto the screen? Thanks.

This is one of the most serious flaws of the Macintosh, and in many instances there is just NO answer. You could resort to writing a script using the Script Editor, but this seems a tough way to get round what is essentially a bug in the OS - it has been there for over 20 years and I don't think Apple are about to realise that the age of multiple screens and changing screen sizes is here NOW and it is time to change so we can resize from any border like all other modern OSs.

Viewing objects that are off the artboard in a CS3 ai file

would really like to know how i can save an .ai file from CS3 that allows me to view ALL the objects in it when placed into Indesign, not just whats on the artboard. (the ai file seems to auto crop itself when placed). the problem is solved if i save it as an eps instead, but ideally would like to work with ai files. it worked fine in CS. thanks! tim

Try saving as PDF, but I Think you are limited o the bleed distance. Illustrator files (as of version 13) don't support bleed. Really. Yes, really. Really!

I reply through the gmail app on my phone and it's been working out fine for the past year. The other day I was experimenting with iMessage on my MacBook and i responded to a few messages from people with iPhones through my MacBook. I didn't like it so I logged out because suddenly I wasnt getting e-mailed those messages like I was before. Now that I'm logged out I can recieve any messages and a friend says that it auto responds with "this person can't be reached with iMessage at this time"

yes other people can send an email to me through their text message app on their iphones and it works fine. theres just one person who cannot and she lives in a different state. i did tell her to delete the entire thread of messages that i have with her but i'm not sure if she did it correctly and may still be replying to a message that i sent through iMessage days ago. i just sent her a message about turning on her MMS. i am also asking her to send the messages to a completely different address that she doesnt have in her phonebook so hopefully that will work.

Can not expand items that are off of the main story line

Ok, I have done something dumb !! At some pont I must have told FCPX to collapse the items around the main storyline - now I can not re-expand them - Help.. as you see from this clip the green items at the bottom are both audio with automation, but I cant get back to the expanded view where I can see/manipulate the automation handles and waveform etc..

I have tried each of the settings - still no audio waveform or handles etc.. the audio level is set to 0 db in the Audio Inspector. I am starting to think this is a bug .
Could it be a factor that it is inside a compound clip ?

How can I get rid of 130+ unread texts that are actually read?

My iPhone isn't recognizing when I have read a text message. It's up to 130 now and it's taking up all the storage on my phone. Everything is running slow and I have tried restarting and resetting my phone, closing all the apps I had open before doing either of these. Idk what else to do but now my phone isn't even receiving or sending messages consistently. It's an iPhone 4 and I have had it updated to iOS7 for a few weeks now.
