  • VI for measuring FRF having data writing problem

    Respected Sir/Mam,
                                        I have created a Vi for measuring the signal during modal analysis. The Vi is giving a very good signal but the problem is in writing the data. The no of samples is given as 10K and rate is 100k but it writes only 5k datas in the file. The signals are good but the data logging is the problem. I have attached the VI. Your earliest reply will be very much helpfull to carry out my further work.
    thanking you

     I first of all thank you for your valuable reply in the labview forum.                        I posted a question sayiny the " VI for measuring FRF ( Freqency Response Function ) having data writing problem"  Sir actually the data i am storing is to be further used for plotting the mode shapes.
                                1. When i plot the data i am not getting back the orginal plot that i acquired during my experiment.
                                2. No of samples to read i have mentioned is 10K. But the VI reads only 5K data.
                                3. The rate is given as 100K
                          Sir i have attached the image of plot which i got from the experiment.The experimental plot is good the problem is qwith the data being saved it in not completly storing the data.
                           The problem is VI is storing only 5K data from 10K it is missing 5K of data while writing to file. I am attaching the VI and plot.

    MS Word for Mac does not yet support Arabic (or various other scripts). You should let MS know that you want that.
    I have had reports, however, that PowerPoint and Entourage in MS Office 2008 will do correct Arabic. Could you confirm that for me?
    For Arabic the best Mac word processor is Mellel. Others are TextEdit, Nisus Writer, iText Pro, NeoOffice, OpenOffice, StarOffice.

  • SMS ringtone problem after ios5

    Hello everyone
    I've been facing a SMS ringtone problem since ios5. When i recieve a SMS or imessage, it rings sequential twice or even more. (Just like when you recieve two sms at the same time)
    If I restart my iphone, this problem disappears for sometime. It comes a while after, though.
    Is it a bug or something? It's really annoying.
    Thx in advance

    Solved.
    I've restored my iphone and set it up as a new iphone. I haven't been facing this problem since restore. Do not forget to restore it "as a new iphone". Do not backup from old.
    Some tips for "restoring as a new iphone"
    -iCloud would be helpful while getting your apps.
    -Saving your camera roll photos to the pc then mailing them and saving them back in iphone can make your photo album as the same before.
    -There are some free apps that can help you to back your contacts up.
    -Change your iPhone name after restore. Otherwise iTunes may automatically backup from old.
    Good Luck.

  • Curve 8530 SMS Text Problems

    My Curve 8530 will receive and send SMS texts ok for a while.  Then, for no reason, I cannot click on an sms and open it.  It will not show the previous texts.  I cannot open the txt to make a reply.  I took this to Verizon, he checked it and said there was definitely a problem, of course didn't have another phone, so ordered me one.  A few days later I got a new (or probably refurbished) 8530.  It's doing the same thing.  So this is either a defect in the phone line or in the software for SMS text messages.  I am very disappointed with Blackberry.  I have had several of their phones, try to keep up with the newest technology even though it always costs me hundredes of dollars for the phones.  I think this will be my last.  If I cannot get this problem resoloved, I am switching to AT&T.

    I got two of these phones and they both are doing it. I do a significant amount of work related texting on my main line 8530... I have to pull the battery anywhere from 5 to 10 times per day. I have contacted Verizon and I'm sending these 8530s back and replacing them with what I had before; the MUCH better, more professional and stable 8330.
    I used my 8330 non-stop for 3 years. Never once had a problem with the trackball (Verizon told me the 8530 fixed the trackball problem---???)... Additionally, in the 3 years of using my 8330 non-stop, I may have had to pull the battery twice, from a lock up. Both times it was when I was actively using Internet, teathered to my laptop and an incoming call came. When I'd answer it, the call would work and when I'd hang up, the phone would crash...
    The 8330 sold me on the Blackberry OS... The 8530 acts more like a Windows OS, IMHO.
    A very dissatisfying experience.

  • Records fetching & writing problem in Oracle DB

    Hi,
    Currently we are fetching 1 million records from Oracle DB , where we are using PreparedStatement and using the fetchSize() we are fetching the records in a "chunk" in an iterative manner and not feching all 1 million records at once. The same amount of records are passed to an utility to write the records in another DB table using addBatch() & batchUpdate() method. If the above operations in place, still the performance is not that great. Hence can we do the below:-
    1) Caching the records and reusing it, the problem here is the data is dynamic and there is no static data involved here, hence whether caching works here? If so we can go with which caching mechanism?
    2) Eventhough PreparedStatement is precompiled statement, is there any where we can have the SQL queries directly located to the database/prepared statement for the faster reading and writing of the data?
    Here the SQL queries are pretty simple "select" and "Insert" query , hence there is no need to fine tune the queries. Please clarify how we can go about this?
    Thanks.

If so we can go with which caching mechanism?So what.. the Oracle's database buffer cache is too small and incapable of caching data? Or is so badly written it is incapable of caching data effectively?
    And big powerful and wonderful application/application tier has a badass buffer cache?
    So why even bother with the database then? Why not fit the entire database in the badass app buffer cache, drop Oracle, and save money?
    If I seem to be foaming at the mouth a bit, it is because Oracle is technically the best RDBMS product on this planet. I process billions of rows (read and write) every single day on my largest database. Without any magic or potions, but by simply sticking to the fundamentals of data processing in Oracle. Then I run across a statement like yours that squarely places the blame for your performance woes on Oracle, and then want to reinvent database functionality, like a db buffer cache, in the app layer. Without a single shred of technical evidence that Oracle is actually the cause of the performance woes.
    And not a word about the latency it takes to get a million rows from spinning rust/disks (where it resides originally)?
    And not a word about the latency of pushing that million rows as IP packets (1500 bytes max size each) from the source database to the app, only to have the app sending that same data as IP packets to the target database? Effectively hitting the network twice with that data volume...
    2) Eventhough PreparedStatement is precompiled statement, is there any where we can have the SQL queries directly located to the database/prepared statement for the faster reading and writing of the data?How is the prepare statement now a problem? Have you actually timed it and have metrics that show it to be the bottleneck?
    Here the SQL queries are pretty simple "select" and "Insert" query , hence there is no need to fine tune the queries. Please clarify how we can go about this?Send data directly from the source database to the target database - single transit of the data volume over network.
    Make sure that network speed and bandwidth suffices - as this, and I/O latency getting data off disks, are the biggest contributors to elapsed processing time.
    If there is spare bandwith and I/O capacity, use parallel processing. Instead of using a single data stream process to get data from source db to target db, use multiple streams.
    Consider compression of data during the network transit phase, especially if the data volume is large and compresses well.
    Of course, the infrastructure can also be tuned/upgraded. Bigger and faster network pipes. Faster disks. Shorter network routes with fewer hops. Use QoS/DSCP on network layer to prioritise the traffic from source to target db. Etc,

  • Text file reading and writing problem

    Hello ! i am working on an electronic diary project and i am using Netbeans for that... i have finished all the rest but i am stuck into the saving of the appointments which i have been making.. i am using text files to save the entries ...what i am doing currently is that i am creating a file of every date which a user selects in the combobox.but if i want to add more appointment on the same date , then it overwries the previous one. i need to write something which can store multiple appointments in the same file.
    the writing code is:
    try {
    String aa = jTextField1.getText();
    String ab = jTextField2.getText();
    String ac =(String)jComboBox2.getSelectedItem();
    String ad =(String)jComboBox3.getSelectedItem();
    String ae = jTextField5.getText();
    String af =(String)jComboBox1.getSelectedItem();
    String ag = jTextArea1.getText();
    String outputFileName = ab+ac+ad+".txt";
    FileWriter outputFileReader = new FileWriter(outputFileName);
    PrintWriter outputStream = new PrintWriter(outputFileReader);
    PrintWriter outputStream1 = new PrintWriter(outputFileReader);
    PrintWriter outputStream2 = new PrintWriter(outputFileReader);
    PrintWriter outputStream22 = new PrintWriter(outputFileReader);
    PrintWriter outputStream3 = new PrintWriter(outputFileReader);
    outputStream.write(aa);
    outputStream1.write(ae);
    outputStream2.write(af);
    outputStream3.write(ag);
    outputStream.close();
    } catch (IOException e) {
    System.out.println("IOException:");
    e.printStackTrace();
    when i read the code , it doesnot reads the one which i store the text in new line...
    thanks

    Hi Dear
    Actually apending in your file is False so that it is overwriting this. do one thing open append option then it will add your data. for this just user true as the parameter with file name as i write in the below line. bedefault overwriting is false. you have to make this true.
    BufferedWriter out = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("Out.csv",true));
    try this your problem will solve.

    Hi supareno I have same problem and if you may I send you code
    public void run() {
    String address = destinationAddress;
    MessageConnection smsconn = null;
    try {
    smsconn = (MessageConnection) Connector.open(address);
    TextMessage txtmessage = (TextMessage) smsconn.newMessage(
    MessageConnection.TEXT_MESSAGE);
    txtmessage.setAddress(address);
    txtmessage.setPayloadText(messageBox.getString());
    smsconn.send(txtmessage);
    } catch (Throwable t) {
    System.out.println("Send caught: ");
    t.printStackTrace();
    if (smsconn != null) {
    try {
    smsconn.close();
    } catch (IOException ioe) {

    I must say that I dont spacify a port number, I thougth in this case it must be a ordinary sms.

  • IPhone Love Affair not for the timid (SMS preview problem)

    I am having a love affair with my new iPhone, but to have a love affair whilst using the iPhone is a little problematic.
    Apple: you need to lift the SMS Preview Disable OUT OF the passcode lock and give it the status it deserves. And after you do that, please add the ability to announce a generic "Text Message" arrival instead of broadcasting exactly which paramour is messaging, even when preview is disabled.
    Let's say paramour #1 is looking at a picture on my iPhone. Phone can't be passcode protected at this moment. And at this moment, because that's how my digital life is, paramour #2 sends a text message that says "why don't you dump paramour #1 and ......?"
    Apple, I need more discretion in my affairs with your technology.

    I'll frame the issue in a way maybe everyone can relate to:)
    Your boss asks you to take a picture of the scrawl he just put all over the whiteboard because he knows your iPhone takes really good pictures. You do this and he wants to see it. You hand him the phone. He is looking at the picture. At that moment, your friend text messages you the following "So, have you told your boss yet that you're quitting?"
    In my opinion, as people use text messaging more and more, privacy control is going to be critical. Right now, Apple is not providing even a basic level of privacy control in the way they are conceptualizing disabling the SMS preview.
    This might be my problem today, but its going to be Apple's in the future if they don't think about how privacy and UI intersect.

    The code is too complex, so I can put all code at here. sorry.
    The logic is:
    a frame has a JDialog object,and show the JDialog object if need,all controls were added to the JDialog in the function jbInit() when the JDialog object was created.
    The point that I want to know is what reasons may cause the problem.

  • IPhone Messages (SMS) app problem

    I've been having a problem with the Messages (SMS) app on my iPhone 3GS. As a matter of personal choice (or rather by nature since I'm slightly prone to OCD), I like to "close (or kill)" all my apps from the multitasking bar and have it stay nice and clean every time I use my iPhone. However, I've been getting lazy over the past few weeks and so I let the messages app stay "open" or on the multitasking bar so it opens quickly. The problem I'm having is that whenever I "close (or kill)" the Messages (SMS) app, (tapping on that little red sign when the apps are wiggling on the multitasking bar), my iPhone freezes for a while (anywhere from 10 seconds to minutes). This time is directly proportional to how long I leave the Messages app "open" for, and how many messages I receive/send. Sometimes, it does a hard reset on me by crashing completely to the Apple logo.
    Now I'm not sure why this is, but my uneducated guess is that it has to do with the messages that I send/receive being indexed for search or something. Since the longer the app stays "open," the more messages it has to index, it overwhelms the iPhone and sometimes crashes, and almost always freezes.
    But, I'm not an expert by any means. So can anyone explain to me what this is/how to fix it (if there are any solutions at all)?
    Thank you in advance!

    Here are 3 things to try, starting with the least intrusive:
    1. In Settings, General, Spotlight Search, uncheck Messages (you might also want to uncheck other stuff you don't need - it all help to speed things up a bit)
    2. Kill all the apps, then restart the phone - hold Home and Sleep until the Apple logo appears - about 10 seconds
    3. Restore the phone via iTunes
