SMTP routing table does not seem to be working correctly.

Why isn't the SMTP routing table working properly?

First, make sure you have the routing table setup correctly.
Entries in the Routing table are in the following format:

<incoming recipient domain>:<route to this host>

For example, if you want all mail addressed to [email protected]
to be routed to mailhost1.realdomain.com, you would add the following
line to the SMTP routing table:

virtualdomain.com:mailhost1.realdomain.com

With the above option, any mail coming in addressed to <anyone>@virtualdomain.com
will be routed to mailhost1.realdomain.com. The recipient email
address will not be re-written, so mailhost1.realdomain.com needs to
accept mail addressed to the original address, @virtualdomain.com,
even though it is in realdomain.com.

Before adding, changing or deleting any SMTP routing table entries, double-check
with the DNS Administrator that the host names you specify are valid,
registered host names. If in doubt, you can use IP addresses for the
"route to" host, but not for the "incoming recipient domain".

Wild cards can be used in mail routing table options, but they indicate that a
hostname will fill that spot. For example:

*.domain.com:mailserver1.domain.com

In the above example, any mail addressed to <anyone>@<anyhost>.domain.com
will be routed to mailserver1.domain.com. However, mail addressed to
<anyone>@domain.com will not be routed. To fix this, add this
line:

domain.com:mailserver1.domain.com

Note: You cannot use the SMTP routing table to route all mail
addressed to a specific domain to a specific account. You would need to use
a "Mail Pool" account for this, which is only available in Messaging Server
3.5+.

assuming that my anotherhost is listening and accepting on port 5000 for smtp connections. and i wanna forward all the mails to that host

My spotlight does not seem to be working correctly

This is the 3rd time spotlight has not found a document I knew was in my documents folder.
How do I go about fixing this.

Yes, that is usual, I had the same issue.
Use the Finder's search for a while, Spotlight is constantly indexing and will collect metadata to perform better search in sometime.
Do this kind of search:
Give focus to Finder and hit COMMAND+F > from the drop down box where KIND is select choose OTHER > from the next window select NAME, CONTENTS, SYSTEM FILES, FILE VISIBILITY and others that you find useful > back to the drop down select NAME and CONTAINS or ENDS WITH if you know some part of the name or extension or then select CONTENTS if you wish > enter what to search > choose the place to look at right after "Search:" above the drop down combo. If this do not return results hit the + sign on the right and add System Files as included, hit + again to add File Visibility as Visible or Invisible.
If search brings too much internet browsing history or other files you do not want to see hold OPTION and hit the "..." that were shown in the + sign to exclude or make other associations as you wish.

The microphone does not seem to be working correctly--it is very low

When using Vtok and Google video chat, I discovered that I could see and hear my daughter perfectly on my iPad2 from her computer. She could see me but not hear me. A microphone icon showed on the bottom of my screen that was grayed out with a bar through the microphone.
I cannot find any way to make any changes to the microphone setting. The sound was on and turned up full.
Later I thought of making a short video to test the microphone. When played back, the sound was almost inaudible. I then synced the iPad and afterward the sound was slightly louder. But it is still not normal. Trying again to use Vtok or Google chat the microphone was still not working.
Any ideas on what I can do so I can video chat with my daughter? She isn't sure she can put FaceTime on her old Mac. And she successfully video chats all the time with all her friends from Google.

You might also try the iPhone App, Skype. It works well with the iPad, and there is an auto-test server that will record your audio and then play it back.
I recall one other person who had an iPad 2 with a defective microphone. That person could use an external headset microphone, but not the iPad's internal microphone. If it is convenient to take it to an Apple Store Genius, they should replace a defective iPad 2 on the spot.
One thing to try that might help and won't hurt anything, is to reboot your iPad's CPU. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. After the iPad restarts, see if it has improved.

"Item Help Subscription" does not seem to be working

I am on APEX 4.0.1. and trying to use the feature "Item Help Subscription" which does not seem to be working.
Here is what I have done.
-> Created a forms page (page 2) that has an item 'P2_NAME'. Define the "Help Text" for that item.
-> Created another forms page (page 3) that has an item called 'P3_CUST_NAME'.
-> In Page Definition for Page 3, Clicked on 'Edit All' icon under 'Items'
-> Clicked 'Utilities' and selected 'Item Help Subscriptions'
-> For Item 'P3_CUST_NAME', clicked on the LOV under 'Subscribe To' field and selected 'P2_NAME'
However when I am clicking on 'Apply Changes' to save the changes, it is not getting saved. The 'Subscribe To' field appears blank even after applying changes.
What I want to know is - is it a bug or have I missed something ? Is anyone using this feature successfully ?
Any pointers or help will be highly appreciated.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Let us know if that helps or not, or any other problems.

You have tried restarting, right? Also, try holding the home and sleep/wake buttons together for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. See if that helps. If it doesn't and you think this is a hardware problem, taking it into the Apple Store is your best bet.

LR 4.3 does not seem to export my correction into the DNG...

I'm trying to export my corrected files as DNG's with the corrections from LR 4.3 but it does not seem to apply those corrections. If I open up the exported DNG into a new LR catalog, the new catalog does not pick up those corrections! I've been doing this (exporting DNG's) for years and this is the first time I'm having issues...
Any ideas anybody?

Before exporting or saving the DNG, are you using the Update metadata and preview option?

If they don't use LR (or ACR, within the same version parity), even if their software supports DNG, the edits will not be understood. And if they are using LR/ACR, it's cross platform.

Automated Backup Does Not Seem to be Working

I tried to set up an automated backup on an Azure Web App. It's on the Standard Plan. It allowed me to configure it and after I did so I got a notification saying it was set up. And I see now that it has a status of "Created". But it does not seem
to have moved any further -- and it has been about 15 minutes.
I did successfully get a manual backup of the site to work last night with the same configuration.
Any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong?

I would request you to check under backup options, scheduled backup is on.
And also please make sure that the Backup and Restore feature requires an Azure storage account and container that must belong to the same subscription as the web app that you are going to back up.

Im having trouble restoring my MacBook Pro, "Comand" and R does not seem to be working for me.

Everytime i try to restore it, it opens normaly to log it with a pop up window saying my start up disc is full. When i log in, my desk top is missing along with my personal wallpaper. Cant seem to do anything when i log in and i really need my comouter for work, someone please help. Just want to restore it.

Open with Application... setting does not seem to be working

Mac OS X 10.6.6, FF 4.0 (RC1), Microsoft Excel 2011 14.0.2. I needed to download several files with .xls suffix.
Firefox asked what I wanted to do with the file, I indicated Open with Excel, and retain this setting. I then tried the next download, and the "Open With..." button showed no settings. I check the Preferences>Applications area, and Excel is there as the application of choice, but it does not appear as the "Open With" application in the download dialog box. If I just go ahead and download, the file does not open. If I *do* re-select Excel, then the file downloads and opens properly, but the setting is not retained for the next download, even though the "always do this" box is checked. It's a minor issue.

Has nobody experienced this issue before?

Firefox Embedded Quicktime Video does not seem to be working

I am having trouble with Quicktime Videos that run using the Quicktime plug-in in the Firefox browser. I am not having similar problems with Safari and much of what I have been reading seems to talk about the Flash problem (which is not the same). I am on OSX 10.4.11 (852167), kernel Darwin 8.11.1, Firefox version 2.0.0.9, and Quicktime plug-in version 7.3.
The videos I was trying to play are on the startrek.com site (specifically, http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/TOS/episode/68730.html then click on the "Remastered Episode Preview" link -- it is a JavaScript popup from that point). The result is a pop-up with a white box where the video should be and all of the quicktime controls at the bottom. At first it seemed intermittent (maybe one out of three times the video played). Now, it doesn't seem to work at all (could just be that I cleared the cache and it was picking that up).
I did try it with Safari and this video (and the others, of course -- that is just a test case) always works. I dug through the Apple support forum and the mozilla forum for firefox, but couldn't find anything specific to this problem.

HI and I am perplexed.
I have the newest update for Quicktime on my Powermac Yosemite, 1gb ram and Flip4Mac installed. I have configured the prefernces for both the system prefs part and the QT prefs but I can not see the video...I can hear the music which this makes the 4th time I have installed it and I finally hear it but no pictures.
I don't know what to do. I have OS 10.3.9, updated QT to the latest version, installed Flip4mac, fixed the prefs and even rebooted to the Panther 10.32 cd and used the Disk Utility to repair all hd's and repair permissions to the OS partition.
As I said I can now hear the vid but no images appear. We are trying to use the vids (.wmv) to show off our members chosen each month but the few of us mac users only get moozik...lol
I have tried .avi, .wmv and .swf, the latter I can see and hear but very choppy. In OS 9 I knew there were several codecs that needed to be installed but I thought they were installed with Panther.
