Hence due to this i am not able to add the product and associated swcv in technical and business system

SNC/ECC Integration via XI standard content

Hi Everyone,
We are trying to integrate an SNC system (formerly known as ICH) with backend ECC systems and have the following questions:
1) Modifications to XI delivered Content
I understand that it is best practice to copy XI delivered content into our own namespace and make modifications from that point on. For messages coming from SNC via ABAP proxy into XI, it is still coming in on the SAP namespace, which seems to be hardcoded in SNC. What is the correct way to work with SAP delivered content in XI?
2) Content based receiver determination
We have installed the SNC XI content into our systems, but in the SLD it does not show up under the SWCVs for our SNC system. This is stopping us from doing content based receiver determination as the dropdown for the filter page is throwing an error that the content is not installed. Has anyone come across this issue?

1. Modifications to XI delivered Content
Yes, its preferrable to copy XI delivered content into your namespace and make modifications in it. But if the messages are comming to SAP namespace then you can just re-use the Message Mapping with the Message type from SAP namespace and in it make the further configurations such as receiver communication, receiver determination etc .accordingly.
2. Probably you have to use it with SAP Product only, as its not available under the Product designed by you and the the your namesapce and the other one are different. so try to configure the Receiver determination for SAP namespace only.

Modified SAP SWCV and CR Content Upgrade

Hello Experts,
I am reviewing an existing XI installation and found that the developers added interfaces and other design objects to standard SAP SWCVs like BW and R/3 instead of creating a project SWCV to put their objects in.
The question is, if we update the CR Content in the SLD would these developments residing in the SAP SWCVs be affected? and what would be the consequences to them?

At least he must have created the name spaces as per my assumption. If that is the case, it should not hurt updating. But if he has used the namespaces also as it is.. you might want to do a trial run on a sand box..!!

Hiding standard search and standard checkin form from UCM content UI

Hi ,
We want to hide standard checkin and standard search from content ui .
Is this possible ? How do we achieve this?
From the admin UI we can do this by enabling the component HideStandardCheckinAndSearch component.
But how do we do it from Content UI?

It depends on what you're trying to achieve. If your users do not want to see standard check-in option in the displayed user interface then you'll have to customize the ADF UI to do so. Implement some sort of ruling feature to display menus. Link suggested by Jiri is good starting point and standard way to customize ADF UI as per documentation.
Regarding implementing filter or any customization on server-side can be viewed as 2 different parts
1. implement profile rule and hide menus - this works for native UI and not content UI. Since content UI is a different EAR deployed on weblogic and page generation is not controlled by CS or any of its configuration parameter.
2. implement filter or other custom option - this kind of feature will help you to prohibit feature execution; but, user will still be accessible to access the search option. This implementation will be not user-friendly. Once users enter some value we display message that feature is not supported. So this option should be your last resort.

Proxies for Standard Content

Hi,
I'm using the pre-delivered XI Content for our scenarios. R/3 <-> XI <--> SRM
There were many scenarios in the standard content and we decided to go with 5 of them. So i created a new package and copied the the objects related to those 5 scenarios. On the SRM side we are using proxies to send the data. There were also pre-delivered proxies generated for the standard content. Since i copied the objects to the new namespace, i cannot find the proxies generated along with them. Can i know is there any way that i could copy proxy code to the new package i have created.

Let me explain my problem in more detail. I created the namespace in a different SWCV. When i went to sproxy in the SRM system. I could not find the pre-delivered proxy code in the SWCV which i created. I could find it only in the SWCV which i downloaded from service.sap.com. Is there any way that i could copy the proxy code from this into my SWCV .

Choice between UPK in-application help and standard EBS help

We are on a EBS 11.5.10 project, implementing UPK.
We got UPK in-application help working; changed custom.pll, set the profile option, everything fine.
Now we would like the users to have the choice between UPK help (default) and standard EBS help.
Therefore we opened the In-Application Support Player Configuration, and created a new Tab:
Type: Oracle E-Business Suite help
Tab Text: EBS help
URL: ?
Whatever we put in the URL, it won’t display the standard EBS context sensitive help. We can see the ‘EBS help’ tab when selecting ‘window help’ in the application but the page is blank or shows an error message.
Do you have any tips on how to get this working?

I have the exact same requirtment, Could you please give the step what you have done so that it would be helpfull. Also after publishing the content on the i am not seeing the "Application Option" i am seeing the smart help. do we need to configure on "Application Option" or on smart help. Where ever is see the doc it says configure oracle_gateway.html but i dont see oracle/hemi folder at all. do know if there is a set up that has to be done to get this option (UPK 11.10.1)

SRM XI standard content ...SRM Server 7.0 - Outbound proxy not working

Hello All,
we have integrated SRM SUS with ECC 6.0 using XI standard content XI SRMSERVER IC 7.0. With same configuration, Purchase Order has been send from ECC to SUS and PO is created successfully in SRM SUS. But, while confirming the purchase order, its not generating outbound proxy message.
And when we check the interface PurchaseOrderConfirmation_Out(i.e dobule clicking) in SPROXY transaction of SRM SUS, getting the following LOG:
1. Logical port template is inconsistent, regenerate it and activate it
2. cannot create LPT without DT profiles
3. Regernate proxy(inactive version incorrect)

Missing DTPs, transformations of FI-CA & IS-U CCS into BI Standard Content

BI Experts,
I'm a basis guy trying to do some research for our BI team.
We are starting an IS-U CCS implementation (on top of existing/running SAP system) and have ECC6.0 EHP3 with IS-U activated in back-end. The BW system is connected to this ECC instance.
Our BI team says we are having the following problem:
"We need to get the missing DTPs, transformations of FI-CA and IS-U CCS into BI Standard Content "
We have a netweaver 7.0 system that was upgraded from 6.20 about 6 months ago. I recently updated the system to the following support pack levels:
SAP_ABA 700 18 SAPKA70018
SAP_BASIS 700 18 SAPKB70018
PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 8 SAPKIPYM08
SAP_BW 700 20 SAPKW70020
BI_CONT 704 1 SAPK-70401INBICONT
Can anyone tell me how I can get these missing DTPs, transformations and IS-U into BI standard content ? I'm wondering if I need NW7.0 EHP1 for my BI system?

just FYI, sap support is helping us resolve this issue. First, we loaded the transport from SAP note 1179880 . That helped give us the content, but still missing some DTPs.
Sap is working on a new support pack to fix our issue.

Deploy and Retrieve Content in PS 3.5

I'm trying to use Interwoven team site/ BEA turbo as the 3rd party Content
Engine to deploy content into the Personalisation Server 3.5 JDBC store.
The intention is to use the JSP cm: and pz: tag to query and retrieve
content, particulary for PDF and MS word .doc document.
What is the requirement for a thrid party Content Engine to deploy the
document reference into the personalisation JDBC store so that it is useable
by the cm: and pz: JSP tags? (eg. meta-data and any specific format or SPI
API to use??)
Can the PS tags support the viewing of word and PDF document? Is there any
good reference or sample? I found quite a bit on HTML and image file in the
e-docs., but no mentioning of other document types. Is this just a matter of
setting the MIME type?
Is there a reference intergration implementation avaiable eg. Content
Express that works for PS 3.5??
Can Bulk loader do the job? I mean to load PDF and MS Word document. Is
there a reference load script avaiable somewhere?
I'm a BEA customer and can get access to websupport. Is that a better
channel to post these questions? If not, where?

Hi Jyothirmai,
If you have used standard business content objects in your current BW Installation, and want to take advantage of new business content, you have an option of merging the objects during BC installation.
In terms of additional fields in datasources, if you can map these in your datamodel then (without a reinitialization) you should be able to populate the data in your datatargets, however you won't be getting historical data for these fields, however if you do re-initialize then you will get the historical data as well.
You can refer the Business Content Documentation for new datasources/infosources and other objects (e.g, 2LIS_11_VAKON, 2LIS_13_VDKON datasources for extracting conditions in SD). The feasibility for implementing this depends on your R/3 PI release/whether or not you can upgrade your R/3 PI.

i have not implement this before. When i configure the PI Integration repository ,it need to import the Standrad Content for SRM.

How to find standard contents in SAP BW?

Is there a way to find all SAP Provided standard contents in SAP BW? For example, let's assume that I'm working on shipment - delivery requirement. How do I find list of all standard datasources related to this, it's cube/DSO in sap BW? Here, I get the datasource, 2lis_08trtlp for shipment - delivery. Like wise, what are all the datasources associated to it?

Hello Antony,
For finding out cubes/DSOs related to delivery, shipment etc, you can follow the following steps:
     - go to RSA1
     - go to BI Content from the left pane (where you find Modelling)
     - Now you should see "All objects according to type" in the middle pane, you can now select DSO/Cube according to your requirement.
     - Select Objects and do a ' 0SD* ' search.
you should find standad SD infoproviders using this approach, as 0SD is the standard naming convention for Sales & Distribution.
Infocube           0LES_C13 : Delivery data of shipment stages
DSO                  0CDS_DS05: Deliveries
                           0CDS_DS07 : Assignment of Deliveries to Requirements
the above infoproviders should help!

Ability to add standard content/text to incident responses?

Hi.
I've worked with other incident management applications that allowed for the configuration and use of standard content that could be stored and then inserted into threads via shortcut keys.
I've been searching for info on if and how it is possible to do this with Service Manager but I haven't found anything.
The process is similar to recording macros in Word and then running them with a shortcut key, but it only involves pasting static text into the comment field.
For example, a signature block for the specific agent who worked the incident, or perhaps a paragraph that is entered repeatedly as a comment for incidents that are in progress.
I am not looking for a template/subscription/notification solution. I'm only looking to be able to quickly insert a block of text into a comment in an existing incident, without having to store the text in a different application and then doing a copy/paste
process to add it.
Any help/guidance is much appreciated.

I actually found a pretty simple way to accomplish what I was hoping for.
I created a Knowledge Article and included *internal only* content.
Users can then open a ticket and search for the article and use the "copy to clipboard" function from the article, and then paste it into the comment section.
Not as fast as a shortcut key, but not bad, and it will meet our needs.
