  • SAP SNC: Invoice Collaboration

    Scenario:
The vendor creates a paper invoice, scans it and sends it to the customer. The customer scans it and using softwares like Readsoft/Opentext posts it in SAP ERP.
    Question:
Can SNC possibly have a role here? How will SNC work with paper invoice? Can Readsoft/Opentext be eliminated without eliminating paper invoice?
    Rgds
    Alok Srivastava

    Hi Alok,
Supplier can use SNC invoice collaboration if they want to use if they don't want to use then Supplier can use C-folder functionality with SNC integration in which they can upload scan copy of invoice.
SAP cFolders is an optional application that you can install and use together with SAP SNC. For more information about the integration of cFolders and SAP SNC, see the SAP SNC documentation. For more information about SAP cFolders functions, see the SAP cFolders documentation on SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com then go to   SAP Business Suite then go to   SAP Project and Portfolio Mgmt  then go to  SAP cProject Suite  .
Let me know for any clarification.

  • Steps: SNC (Supplier Network Collaboration) Integration with ECC through XI

    Hi,
Has anyone worked on the SNC(Supplier Network Collaboration) integration with SAP ECC via SAP XI.
Could you pls share any documentation related to this. And also could anybody tell me the setup required to go ahead with the integration.
    Thanks,
    S

    Hi Xavier,
SNC integration with XI has predefined mappings. So ask your basis guys to download the XI content for SNC using with PI. Once they deployed you will have a builtin predefined content in XI. Within the predefined content mostly they all are xsl mappings.
If your requirement is with the standard idocs then you can use them directly. Else if their is customization they you may need to change the mappings according to your requirements.

  • SAP SNC Supplier Network Collaboration integration with SAP ERP via BizTalk - experiences?

    Hello,
had anybody experience in integration of SAP SNC Supplier Network  Collaboration with SAP ERP via BizTalk Server?
Versions: SAP ECC 6.0 Ehp5 SPS11, SAP SNC  current version (7.0?)
We will have to integrate following processes:
Master Data integration, PO Purchase Order, Forecast, SMI Supplier Managed Inventory
Usually SAP takes an SAP PI middleware for this, where the full implementation can be downloaded from the SAP marketplace, but we want to avoid having an additional Integration Platform with maintenance etc.
Are there experiences, success stories, pitfalls, issues to be known, recommendations, known efforts in this forum?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Invoice collaboration - general question

We are implementing SNC for PO collaboration and we would like the vendors to create Invoice. However we have an existing interface with our clearing agent to get the ASN information. Can someone tell me if we would like to have invoice collaboration, do we have to have ASN in SNC? Anyone with similar situation, what's the best practice? Can we still have the vendor create ASN and just not send it to ECC (use only for Invoice).
    Thank you for your time.
    Soumen

    Hi Soumen,
You can create invoice with reference to Purchase order or ASN.
Depending upon company's business process you can decide Invoice creation should be with reference to PO or ASN.
In SNC you can configure invoice creation with reference to PO or ASN.
As you will be aware of Company's (who is implementing SNC) business process you can suggest whether there is any need for supplier to create ASN for PO or not.
If ASN creation is needed  then go for invoice creation with reference to ASN otherwise invoice creation with reference to PO.
You can also set validation for invoice creation with reference to ASN should be allow only if GR is done for this ASN.

  • What's the difference between SNC and SRM?

we will sell SNC in Q2.But i don't know what is the difference between SNC and SRM.
i've heard SNC suit Direct procurement better than SRM...
Pls give me the advice and information.
    good regards kenji

    Hi Kenji,
SRM is more of Supplier Identification and SNC work of building
relationship with Supplier starts after this Supplier identification.
SNC is very Good tool to handover Inventory replenishemnt
to Suppliers and it gives Visibility of inventory information over Web UI.
SNC has many processes like PO Collaboration, SMI, DR,DCM, SNI,
Invoice Collaboration,Release process...to accomplish above mentioned task.
SNC is designed for direct materials procurement.
SRM has contract negotiations, bids, auctions for sourcing to identify suppliers
SRM is good for basic purchasing fuctionality and suitable for indirect materials.
In addition to all these SNC has Customer Collaboration functionality also.

  • CFolder Integration with SNC

    Hi Experts,
We are integrating cFolder with SAP SNC (Supply Network Collaboration) application. Both SNC and cFolder application are installed on the same server. We have activated cFolder within SNC application. As per SAP help, we have not added any RFC destination for cFodler as it is on the same server as SNC.
Now when I try to open cFolder link from SNC application, it throws an exception
"Error in CFX Call: An exception occurred that was not caught."
I checked ST22 for the error and found that the application is not able to find cFolder URL. It is failing at below code:
    get relative ERL
    e_url = cl_cfx_fol_ui =>get_url_for_fol(
    icol_id = l_col_id_str
    i_area_id = l_area_id_str
    i_topic_id = i_topic_id_str
    i_role = ' ' ).
I can see that relative collaboration folders are created in cFolder. cFolder application when opened directly from SE80 is opening properly. So it is evident that SNC is able to communicate with cFolder and also able to create collaboration folder. However, when the cFolder window is opening, it fails.
Request you to please help on how to solve this issue.

    Hi,
For SNC PI (XI) is mandatory for integration. From an arhcitectural point of view please see tha following documentation:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_snc2007/helpdata/EN/46/8bfc3d336f71bde10000000a1553f6/content.htm
For more specific documentation on integration and how to set it up please have a look under the following place:

I think this you need to start here and then go further into your questions to be able to answer.

    Hi,
The DP & SNC cannot be integrated on the fly, SAP also does not give the option to enable the integration. Technically APO & SNC use two different databases. If there is a need there has to be custom development to achieve this.
There are numerous ways to achieve this using custom development. One possibility is download the keyfigures (forecast) & convert to the XML message (confirming the XML format required for SNC)  then upload them using the SAP standard interface using SPROXY transaction. Now you can see the forecast data of DP in SNC.

  • Difference between SRM and SNC

    Hi all,
i frequently get this question from many of my friends who work on SRM, as what is the difference between SRM and SNC.Because the supplier collaboration part of SNC resemles with few functionalities of SRM.
What kind of industries go for SRM?
What kind of industries go for SNC?
    Regards,
    Nandan

    Hi Nandan
SRM and SNC have few functionalities common.
SUS and Plan driven procurement. Like SNC Purchase Order Collaboration, these are direct procurement(Supplier known).
Where SRM has other business process like Self Service Procurement, where in they can create quotations and then compare and select the best supplier(In direct Procurement)
In SNC we do not support Service Orders, We only support Quantity Orders. Where SRM can support both.
They have other Business process(SAP SRM Supplier Collaboration), where in the solutions and backend systems like SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Collaboration Folders (cFolders), and SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM), to provide collaborative planning, sourcing, procurement.
Where SNC plays a material monitor here communicating between OEM & Supplier Org
SRM support both quantity procurement and service procurement directly and indirectly.
Where in SNC supports direct quantity procurement.
It is the business need, upon which they select SNC or SRM.

  • SNC Badi

    Hello Experts,
I am working on SNC - Supplier Network Collaboration.
When user clicks on Go Button for fetching data , i have to find a BADI which tracks that event
    Thanks
    Bijal

Open the transaction SE24 and give the object type as CL_EXITHANDLER and display the transaction and double click on the method GET_INSTANCE and put the break point at the CASE sy-subrc.
And then the check the value of exit_name (which gives the badi name) by executing your transaction at the point where you need the badi.
    Thanks,

  • Sending Production Plan to Vendor / Supplier

    Dear Sir
Ours is a production unit (assembly line) we use lot of components. So I want to know is it possible to send plan directly to Vendor by E-mail from SAP.
    Thanks & Regards
    Vishal

    Hi Vishal,
Sending out Production Plan to Vendors by email is possible but given nature of dataset involved (not documents in form of Production Orders) it may not be a very feasible option. Instead either develop a report to extract relevant Production Plan data and send it out as email.
But better look at Supply Chain Collaboration applications like SNC Supply Network Collaboration that has Outsourced Manufacturing processes catering to these kind of supplier / vendor collaboration requirements.
    Hope this helps.
