SNC issue

Hello
I have SNC issue.
I have user X on active directory and few users in R3 system they not listed in AD.
Can I login to cockpit with user X and let the few users to login to sap with user name and password?
The R3 system configures to work with SNC but I have users that donu2019t have user in AD but they listed in SAP system.
How can I logon to the cockpit with user X and few user logon to SAP with out SNC?
Thanks
Eyal

Just deactivate the SNC in their GUI's and they should be able to logon with username and password as normal.
Regards
Juan

    Hello Nani,
It looks to be a SNC Issue.
just check wether you have the parameter snc/gssapi_lib define in ur profile of SAP system
This parameter should be set to the path of your gssapi32.dll file
Also u must also have a system variable defined SNC_LIB which is again to the path of gssapi32.dll
Also make sure that gssapi32.dll exists
Check these,ur web dispatcher might come up

  • SAPGUI SSO Kerberos - Netweaver 7.1

    Hello,
has anyone been able to implement Kerberos Single Sign on for SAPGUi on Netweaver 7.1 ?
    Thank you for your feedback

    We implemented it for 46C - ECC6.0 - SOL - ..
But with PI (netweaver 7.1) we have a strange error with the same configuration used as the other systems.

  • SAP GUI with SNC logon and Hummingbird Exceed - SAP GUI window size issue

We have discovered an issue when SAP GUI 7.10 is used to logon via SNC and Hummingbird Exceed is used on the same workstation to logon to a UNIX system either via x-windows or telnet.
When the user logs onto a UNIX system using Hummingbird Exceed, then uses SAP GUI to logon to a SAP system with SNC authentication, the SAP GUI authentication works, but the favourites list is not fully displayed and has to be resized before any of the entries are available.
Has anybody else seen this issue, and do they know if there is a fix available ? We wondered if there might be an issue with fonts or some other sort of conflict between Exceed and SAP GUI, but it is strange that the problem only occurs if SNC authentication is being used, and when userid+password is used to logon to SAP the problem does not occur.
    Cheers,
    Tim

    Hello Tim and Wolfgang,
I was curious too as I found it interesting... so I tested a few combinations, but could not reproduce what Tim has described, at least not before my CPU reached 100% and the applications stopped responding (~2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 48 kbps connection, latency ~ 2 x width of the Pacific Ocean, but Backend 7.00!).
However I did notice some indications which might be a help (based on 7.00!):
Back in 4.?? there was a problem in that large menus could not be searched(!). Sorry, I don't have access to SAP now, but from memory the note # was 444043 (or very similar) and introduced a form routine for large menus - from a printscreen I still have the message number which led me to the note - 'I476(S#)'.
The system certainly distinguishes between MENU_TYPEs and the above note corrections could be found in several locations relating to the SAP menu 'S', the role menu 'A' etc, but I could only see that for favourites 'F' this is implemented for the menu search (when searching, not when loading).
@ Tim: Ask you customer to create a favourites menu which only has 1 node or max 2 (certainly not more than 4!) and ~ 20 executable objects in it (not more than 30!)? Can they under any conditions achieve the described problem with such a menu?
If not possible to reproduce, then the closest I could guess is a maximum limit of 4 nodes and max 30 objects for a 'F'avourite menu, before it is a minimum candidate for "performance problems" and consideration to be converted to a role ('A'ctivity group) menu instead.
Sorry that I can only help by speculating, because I could not reproduce what you have described.
Hopefully this problem will not happen to me in the New Year, and hope you will solve it for the rest of the year
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Issue with parallel operation of SAP NW SSO 2.0 and SNC Client Encryption (Logon Groups)

    Hi!
One of our customers is using the SNC Client Encryption solution to ensure encryption using SNC (based on Kerberos Technology) for their SAP GUI Dialog connections. They have lots of SAP backends DEV, QAS, PRD all with the SNC Client Encryption SNC Lib installed. The profile parameter snc/identity/as contains the following value: p:CN=SAP/<ServiceAccount>@<DOMAIN>.
    Example: p:CN=SAP/[email protected]
The customer is using one AD Service Account "SNCServiceUser" with one registered SPN "SAP/SNCServiceUser" for all systems (yes, this is not recommended... but the case).
Important: All users use group entries in the SAP Logon (saplogin.ini). Means, for SAP logon the SNC name can not be manually configured on the SAP Front End. With group logons, the application server's SNC name is dynamically requested by the message server each time a SAP GUI connection is started. The SNC Name is greyed out in this case as dynamically obtained from the applications servers profile parameter snc/identity/as.
Now our customer implements SAP NetWeaver Single Sign-On 2.0 within his landscape. Based on the Secure Login Server 2.0 (SP3) he likes to use X.509 based authentication to his AS ABAP backends using SAP GUI SNC while others still use SNC Client Encryption.
Replacing the SNC Library on the AS ABAP
The Secure Login Library 2.0 (SP3) has been installed on one of the ABAP systems and the SNC Client Encryption SNC Library (which is based on SSO 1.0) is no longer used, thus we changed the parameter snc/gssapi_lib to point to the new SNC library. We removed the old PSE.ZIP containing the keytab and created the new SAPSNCSKERB.PSE incl. the keytab and proper credentials. To ensure parallel operation, we kept the snc/identity/as value as is =  p:CN=SAP/[email protected].
After restarting the system with initialized Secure Login Library 2.0, still the SNC client encryption works fine for existing users.
    The problem
We created on the Secure Login Server an SNC certificate for the AS ABAP which has the following X.509 Distinguised Name Fomat: CN=SAP/[email protected] This is to avoid having to change the snc/identity/as to an "real" X.509 DN which would lead to non-working SNC Client Encryption for all the other users using SAP GUI and logon groups.
As soon as we install the PSE via STRUST on the system the SNC Client Encryption solution stops working with error „Server refuses kerberos key exchange“.
As part of an pilot implementation we have installed Secure Login Client 2.0 (SP3) on some test PCs. The test PC with SLC is able to perform Single Sign-On with SNC based on X.509 (incl. Encryption) to the ABAP system.
Seems the SAP System now only tries to do X.509 based authentication thus key exchange fails. The problem is, we cannot change the snc/identity/as value because of the logon groups. If we were able to do so, we would in any case set the server identity to X.509 DN and in addition create the SAPSNCSKERB.PSE incl. keytab. This should work, as confirmed by SAP see this post.
Any ideas how to solve this and have both solutions in parallel?
    Appreciate any help.
    Regards,
    Carsten

    Hi all,
we was able to fix the issue. It was an issue with the customers cluster configuration and the  $SECUDIR variable. This tricky issue leads to non working or sporadic working SNC Client Encryption...
This was how the configuration looks before:
    Environment variable $SECUDIR is defined:
    "/ABCDEF<SID>/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGSxx/sec“
    sapgenpse seclogin -l -v
    running seclogin with USER="<SID>adm"
    Credentials for username '<SID>adm':
    0 (LPS:OFF):
             (LPS:OFF): /ABCDEF<SID>/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGSxx/sec/SAPSNCSKERB.pse
    1 (LPS:OFF):
             (LPS:OFF): /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGSxx/sec/SAPSNCS.pse
After changing the $SECUDIR to "/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGSxx/sec“ and re-creating the credentials, it worked like a charm.
As a result of this we can confirm, this configuration and SNC Client Encryption works with CommonCryptoLib in parallel to the SSO configuration.
And Valerie was right with 2. SLC starting from V. 1.0 SP2 PL3 was able to convert the CN= part of the SNC Name into an SPN, was my mistake. In addition SNC Client Encryption starting from Version 1 SP1 PL1 does this also.. just to make this clear
Thread closed hope this helps someone

  • Installing the HCA Solution Accelerator - issue with SNC Deploy

    Hello Everyone -
I am trying to install the HCA Solution Accelerator, and I am having an issue with the "ant deploy" of the Selection and Capture building block.
I have configured the ~snc_1_0\install\ant.properties file, but I think I may have missed a setting somewhere because I am getting this build error:
    BUILD FAILED
C:\Adobe\SolutionAccelerators\human-capital-application.1.0\sa\building_blocks\snc_1_0\ins tall\build.xml:113: The following error occurred while executing this line:
C:\Adobe\SolutionAccelerators\human-capital-application.1.0\sa\building_blocks\snc_1_0\dep loyer\build.xml:107: The following error occurred while executing this line:
    C:\Adobe\SolutionAccelerators\human-capital-application.1.0\sa\building_blocks\snc_1_0\dep loyer\build.xml:91: Java returned: 1
Does anyone know off-hand what would cause this particular error?
I am relatively confident in the path information that I have set for the j2eejar, junit.jar, lcsdk, lc.install.dir as well as the database driver and connection settings.
I am using a simple turnkey LiveCycle install on a Windows XP OS.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you in advance,
    Ben Lyons
*I have attached the entire Build output from the command line as a text attachment in case anyone is interested

Well, I found a "fix" to this issue - I am just going to post it here in case anyone else encouters a similar issue.
Apparently, it relates to some sort of error in build.xml file in the ~\snc_1_0\deployer folder.
The particular line that was causing the build to fail was line 91 of this file, which looks like this:
    <target name="data-purge">
    Line 91 -->            <java classname="com.adobe.solutions.snc.utils.DatabaseExporter" failonerror="false" fork="true"
    classpathref="hibernate.setup.path">
                                                    <jvmarg value="-Dhibernate.bytecode.provider=javassist"/>
                                        <arg line="create-drop ${dist.dir}/hibernate-test.cfg.xml ${database.driver.class} ${database.connection.url} ${database.username} ${database.password}"/>
                                    </java>
                    </target>
The "failonerror" attribute is by default set to "true", thus an error was occurring, so the build was set to fail.  I changed this to false so that I could build this building block, but doing so has filled me with trepidation that something isn't going to be writing to my database correctly.
Does anyone know what a failure in this segment of this build.xml file means as far as the built SNC building block?  (Remember this is the build.xml file in the deployer folder and not the install folder).
In other words - does this mean I should be expecting some kind of lingering error in this building block - and if so, what would that issue most likely be so that I can keep an eye out for it?
    -Ben

  • SNC Logon Issue - Old Username being sent from PC

We have a user who was logging onto our SAP systems fine for a year, then she changed her surname and got her laptop upgraded from XP to Vista at the same time.
Now when she logs onto the SAP systems, she can log onto 2 of them okay using SNC but when she logs onto the 3rd SAP system it displays her old username.
The SNC parameter for her user account in all 3 SAP systems is identical, as is the SNC configuration in her SAP GUI.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

On the 3rd SAP system that displays her old username check table USRACL(SE16) and see if it contains both her old and new username. If so remove the old.
Other than that XP and Vista also use different default encryption types but I don't think that this would be an issue.

  • Performance issue using Universe with SNC connection

I had a dynamic dashboard using Live office > Webi report > Universe > Bex query which was working fine but we recently implemented SNC between Business Objects and SAP BW due to which the universe connection has been changed to use sign on connection. After changing the connection in the universe I am see a performance degradation refreshing the connections in xelsius dashboard. Earlier the connection refresh time was 6 sec now the refresh time is around 30 secs, Intersting thing is I have tryed refreshing the webi report the refresh time of the webi report did not change which is still less than 6 secs and I have also tryed refeshing the Live Office component directly in the design/spreedsheet mode of the xcelsius even here the refresh time remain same less than 6 secs.
The connection refresh time is bad only when I am in preview mode or if I deploy the swf to the business object server.
    Xcelsius Version: 2008 (5.3)
    BO Version: 3.1 sp2 fixpack 2.8
    Thanks

    Anup,
What will happen behind the screens when application restarts.
what are the otherways of achieving the same Behavior, like getting the application state to initial state.

  • SNC DF70P multicast streaming issue /JPEG Stream OK

    Hi,
    I've a SNC DF70P IP cam,
Using JPEG video mode, I can receive stream with VLC    http://192.168.1.33/image
Using MPEG4 video mode and setting multicast IP address and video port, nothing in VLC: udp://224.10.10.2:1234, or rtp://224.10.10.2:1234
    Firmware is last one V1.18
    Any Idea?
    Thanks in advance.

    Me again,
After further research, I'm able to access to the TCP/UDP "button" on the main page of the web browser using ActiveX Viewer.
BUT now, if I set the camera to UDP Unicast OR Multicast, I have to wait for 10 seconds and the TCP/UDP submenu is closing. If I open it agai, still TCP/IP selected. I'm not able to select UDP at all.
It's maybe due to a firmware upgrade to v1.18
The old firmware was v1.17 and so I would like to test with this old firmware.
Is someone get it? version 1.17
    Thanks

  • Shipping Date Change issue in SNC

    Hi ,
Recently we upgraded from SNC5.1 to 7.0.Supplier enters the shipping date in PO worklist and system in turn calculates the Delivery date. This is working fine in Production also.
But after upgrade we found that when supplier enters the shipping date other than requested  shipping date by customer then System is not saving the date and in turn when gets published customer requested shipping date is getting transmitted to ECC.
    Chnage date is not working.
    Thanks and Regards
    Raghavendra Pai

    Hi Raghavendra
    I have the below settings
    D/T Due Qty (ASN):Shipping Date/Time
    D/T Due Qty (Conf):Shipping Date/Time
D/T for ASN in DL: Shipping Date/Time
    Relevant PO SL:CONF
Also i have deactivated the validation check
    PO_SHIP_AFTER_DELVRY_DATETIME
    for profiles POC1,POC2 & POC3
I am able to enter the CDD date as desired, same is transferred to ERP
    Regarding Due list query
When you create an advanced shipping notification (ASN) for a purchase order item in the due list for purchasing documents, the system fills the ASN with the data that is currently displayed in the due list for purchasing documents.
and this is requested data, i am not sure how to get confirmed data into due list query, you need to ask any webdynpro developer, like which FM and query it is referring and modify it suitable
You can create ASN for confirmation  line in PO details, as it is allowing to store the delivery date now

  • How to log off from SNC portal

This is a very basic question. I did not find any button or menu option to log off. Sometimes I get the message that the transaction is still running in another session, and I find it very difficult to log off. I normally close the browser and then log off from the SCM system. But if I am not logged onto SAP and I open the portal directly, How do I log off?
    Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks
