Snchronizing binaries

Hello experts,
my Java Instance is not running. The status is "synchronizing binaries". The Icon is still yellow. After checking the log_bootstrap i found following Issue:

1. Do you backup of ORACLE_HOME available..
2. Only copying emctl/emca binariews might not help you because you are not aware about other files.. Some other files/binaries may also be missing
I would suggest you restore it from backup..

Also only binaries are missing .. it doesn't have do anything with OEM configuration.. It should work fine once you have all binaries in place.

SCCM 2012 SP1 - Offline Servicing failure - Failed to find or access the update binaries to be applied on the image

Hi there
Trying to patch a new Windows 7 SP1 image within SCCM 2012 SP1, but it's failing.
I've searched for information on the failure messages I am seeing, but although there is a LOT of information online concerning Offline Servicing failures, I can't find anything on the errors I am seeing.
I've tried injecting a single update, five updates and ten updates, no difference, same messages.
We have McAfee Access Protection disabled, as we know Offline Servicing simply won't work if this is running.
In the console, in Schedule Update Status for the image I am trying to update, the following message is shown:
"Failed to find or access the update binaries to be applied on the image."
That sounds as if the process can't find the actual .cab file for any update I've tried to inject, but I don't know why it wouldn't be able to do that, we have Software Updates configured and the .cab files are on the same server.
When I looked at the OfflineServicingMgr.log file, I see the following entries:

I'm not sure what file "Failed to find properties of file 4" is referring to, whether dism.exe, an update or the image itself, but immediately after this message appears the image is unmounted. After that this message shows:
"Completed processing image package PackageID. Status = Failed"
As I say, there's a lot of information available re Offline Servicing but I haven't found anything with these particular messages.
If anyone has encountered this before, I'd appreciate any information you have.

Hi,
I think file named 'NO_SMS_ON_DRIVE.SMS’ might be causing this issue. If this file is present in logical drives, then please give it a shot one more time after deleting this file from the logical drives.
Due to this file, it might be preventing 'smsexec' service to skip the drive when looking for content. So worth a try!
After deleting this file, you also need to restart 'smsexec' service to reflect the changes. You can also verify from below registry value & ensure that all of your logical drives (specially where SCCMContentLib directory resides) should be listed

'HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\DP\ContentLibUsableDrives'

EBS UM Connector binaries compatible with 9.1.0.1

where I can download E-Business User Management 9.1.0 binaries which is compatible with OIM 9.1.0.1?
The latest EBS UM 9.1.0.4 is compatible with OIM 9.1.0.2 BP02 and above

You can install the connectors of connector pack 9.0.4 as described in their documentation. They will work also with OIM 9.1it's just more work to do than just clicking install.

8.0.5 / RedHat 6 / static or dynamically linked binaries

It does appear that you can run Oracle 8.0.5 on RedHat 6, despite
the glibc 2.1 linking problems. Whenever I run an Oracle binary,
I get a core dump. Not good. But when I replace the
dynamically linked binaries with the statically linked ones (by
copying them directly over the old ones in $ORACLE_HOME/bin/ ),
everything seems to work fine.
My question is, what's the downside, if any, of this approach?
I'm concerned mostly with performance, as I'm not just playing
around with this stuff. All our development and test servers are
going to Oracle on Linux. If the old RedHat 5.2 + gclibc 2.0.x
is better, I'd like to know before I implement the RedHat 6 /
8.0.5 solution.

I can bring up database, shutdown, run sqlplus, etc.
But I AM having problems linking executables with ORACLE

I have heard that the problem is with the new compilers
(EGCS instead of GCC). Looks like GNU has given the compiler
stuff to a company called Cygnus.
Personally, I liked the old gcc on 5.2 - lots more stable
and was compiling more of my programs.

Hi all,
I have a plain C code which compiles and runs fine on my solaris 8 box. I have to deploy the compiled binaries (on soalris 8) on a different machine which has solaris 10 installed.
My application uses libqt-ms.so.3, libqutil.so.1.0.0, libjpeg.so.6, libstdc++.so.2.10.0, posix threads and tcp/ip sockets.
Will this cause any problems. or will i have to make a separate binary for solaris 10. If that is the case will i need new library files or the current one will work fine

well I have tried it actually. and the behavior is weird. On my solaris 8 box. Every thing works perfectly fine. But due to some reason on solaris 10 machine the values i transmit over the tcp socket totally change. i send a msgCode = 1 , 2, or 3 ... but on the other end, which is a windows machine i get strange values 210, 10, 35 49 etc etc ... is this due to version problem.

I can not open or download files/PDF's. I keep getting the "Adobe Acrobat_Reader win binaries" message box. How can this be repaired so I can see PDF's? Thanks!

To make a picture, like I did above - go to ACCESSORIES > SNIPPING TOOL. When you click on snipping tool, the screen will gray out. Click and drag your cursor from one corner of the area you want to "snip" to the other - when you release, you will have a JPEG - save it as any other picture, or even email from the snip you just made.
THat doesn't advance the PDFs trouble solution, but it's good to know!

Unix team is going to move binaries from one filesystem to another(A to B),my concerned is what things i should take care of once its been moved like /etc/oratab/ pointing to this new OH and what about orainventory?do i need relink binaries too?Please let me know what needs to be done.

Is the image that you are getting a RGB one? Use color plane extraction and then use a binary threshold to convert it into a binary image. You can also directly use a color threshold and convert a rgb (color) image to a binary image.

Copy the SQL Binaries and Data to another drive and then change the drive letter to previous drive letter

We have SQL Server 2012 SP1 installed on E drive (which means SQL Binaries, Database and LOGs) are in the same drive E, we are not able to backup the SQL Server because according to Backup Vendor their is a problem with the DISK E which is why the backup
is not successful, We have added one more drive with the same space, we have stopped SQL Server services and copy each and every thing from E drive to new drive and changed the current E Drive to K and changed the new drive to E, after that when we tried to
start SQL Service but it was not starting, we have again reverted back the original drive to E and service was successfully started, please note here that SQL server service logon is NT service / local service. Please help us that how to do achieve this as
we are using the same E drive and OS should not know any thing. Please help us to copy and then change the drive letter to E so that we can delete the old drive.

You should not have done this. Even if you install complete SQL Server on Separate dedicated drive few binaries would always go on system drive that is C drive so your idea of moving files to other drive would sure create a problem. As a fact you cannot
move SQL Server complete installation from one drive to other apart from uninstalling and reinstalling again.
Copy it back an hope fully you would be able to restart. Why should you take a product which allows you to change sql server drive its a bad product. I guess backup engineer does not how to configure backup agent

Built FM DITABook (made FM binaries) -- how do I get back to XML?

For FrameMaker 8 DITA.
I gen'ed apparently "clean" binaries from DITA XML -- now how do I gen "clean" DITA XML from the binaries?
BACKGROUND
I created a bunch of DITA topic files as .xml, then assembled them in a DITA map file.
Next, I used
Build FM DITABook from DITA map file to export those XML files as a binary (or if you prefer, "classic") FrameMaker book containing a list of ".xml.fm" binary (a.k.a. "classic chapter") files.
I then proceeded to edit those binary files, closely conforming to DITA tag structure to create a FrameMaker book and constituent binary topic files that validated and gen'ed without error.
Finally, I used
Save As to save those .fm chapter files as XML. (Actually, FM8 for some reason wants to export them as ".xml.xml" files...)
THE PROBLEM
When I save the .fm files as XML, FrameMaker reports an error the essence of which is "Root element different from DOCTYPE".
FrameMaker also reports the same error if I open a given .xml file then Save the file back into itself.
If I then re-open the file that contained the error, FrameMaker does not report an error. That is to say that it seems that Open-ing and Save-ing the XML file "cleans" the error out of the file.
So, is there any way to go directly to "clean" XML without performing the intermediate Open/Save operation?

you might try the following:
Rather than having the topics in XML, combining them into a map and turning the map into FM, you could have a book with chapters (=structured .fm-files) and insert the XML topics by conref
This is analogue to using text insets in non-structured files.
The advantage of this is having the topics as .xml (=validation, granularity, reuse) and an FM book (=generated lists a.s.o) at the same time.
If you need to be on the pure xml path, you might try out the "DITA-Services" of SYSTEC. This is a plugin pack that
* adds static or dynamic files to a book according to a configuration file
* sets variable values, text condition visibility status and PDF metadata information according to a configuration file
* localizes formats, reference pages a.s.o semi-automatically.
This way you could go from xml + map>FM-Book without Title, TOC a.s.o>FM-Book with Title, TOC and all other bells and whistles >PDF.

How to resolve jstart.EXE "Synchronizing binaries" in the sapmmc?

I've recently installed NetWeaver CE 7.1 SP8 using JSPM, which seemed to go fine with several restarts, accesses to the nwa, etc. After starting application testing restarts began hanging with jstart.EXE indicating "Synchronizing binaries" in the sapmmc. I've tried starting NetWeaver several times, have tried using the command line interfaces to start, have rebooted the machine, and still have the problem. There's nothing in the logs to help; these are the only entries that give any sense of what's going on, but no specific errors that I can see:

Requesting links for Weblogic Server 8.1 (sp5) binaries for all platforms.

This might seem like a brazen request, but could someone provide me a link for Weblogic 8.1 (sp5) binaries. . .It seems unreasonable to spend $2,000 just to download a product version no longer supported by Oracle. The fact of the matter is that my client and my client's third-party staging server deploys their application in Weblogic 8.1 (sp5); believe me, if I had the authority and range of control to update my client's staging server and production server I would.

Ok, I found a majority of Weblogic's 8.1 (sp6) links. . .do you think developing on sp6 and deploying to sp5 will cause some issues? I'm supposing it won't and while the client has yet to deliver the application, the app server, documentation, or any other required materials, I'd at least like to get an environment that is compliant with their staging server's environment before-hand.

If anyone thinks that I will need to acquire a license for running (a sanboxed) version of Weblogic please let me know so I can inform my employer accordingly.

If MQ V5 clients cannot interoperate with MQ V7 servers, then perhaps MQ V6 clients support the 1.4 JVM? If so, I suppose you can use an MQ V6 client to communicate with V7.
Alternatively, perhaps MQ's "extended transactional client" provides more flexibility in interoperability than the client you're using.
