Sneak Preview Licensing Validtiy showing "Invalid"

Hi all,
I have installed EP sneak preview Stack 4, WAS SP7,  few days back.
Now when I try to create new users, and when I log in using that userid, the licensing screen is shown.
And it says the Licence Validity - Invalid.
what could be the problem? and is there any solution
other than reinstalling.
I could login using the default administrator/admin account. I check the Portal Licensing in System Administration and it shows the following values.
System ID Hardware Key SW Product SW Product Limit Expiration Date License Type Installation No. System No. Validity
P66 B0359063485 J2EE-Engine_MSS Unlimited 26/Mar/2005 Temporary 0000000000 000000000000000000 Invalid

Hi,
Save WSDL localy (<i>Open WSDL URL in browser, View->Source, File->SaveAs</i>) and open local file in Model dialog again. It should work.
If you are using locally saved wsdl and still getting the error then that would mean your wsdl is not in the right format. Try using some validation tools.

    Hi Asish,
I had the same problem. After loging off and loging on again, I skipped the field System Number, filling in the other details.
This time the license was accepted. I hope it works for you too.

  • EP 6.0 SP15 Sneak Preview License questions

I have installed the Full Java Edition SAP NetWeaver 04 SP15 yesterday.
The documentation tells me "The license is valid for 180 days and cannot be extended." (license.htm ).
    http://myserver:50000/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo tells me:
    <b>Licenses </b>
Installation Number | *** not yet assigned ***
    System Number       |   J2E
    <u>Software Product    |   Days Until Expiry </u>
    J2EE-Engine_ADA     |   89
Visual Administrator - Server -> Services -> Licensing Adapter also tells me that the system expires 14/May/2006.
That means i have a 90 day temporary license.
What is the "right" licensing period i should expect?
Is there any licensing extension possibility i missed?

  • SP16 Java Netweaver Sneak Preview license renewal question

I've been off my project for 2 monthes, and meanwhile the license expired. The jcontrol service will not start anymore.
In the forum I am finding contradictory postings. Some are saying that I have to reinstall everything, others are saying I can get a new license.
    What is the truth?
How can I get a new license?
By the way, I discovered that setting the date 2 monthes back solves the problem. Is it that simple to bypass the license check? Or will I run into other problems?

    Hello,
I guess the simplest way for you to do is to set the date back to when your liscence has not expired, get a new liscence and then change the date back. It is pretty much the safest way to get things done in case WAS has some kind of date check with other web server.
    Hope this helps!

  • Renewal Sneak preview license

For the renewal I always follow the same procedure.
I collect the info with saplicense -get. And entered this info on: www.sap.com/technology/minisap
However i  did not get the e-mail with the new license.
I repeated the procedure several times but without success.
    Any suggestions?
    Kind regards
    Wim Jansen

Yes I saw that I eventually got all my license requests a lot later after the system came up again...
How are you installing the license? through transaction SLICENSE?
If so, rather try the following:
    Go to Start -> Run
    Type "cmd"
    Type the following:
    runas /user:nspadm "c:\usr\sap\nsp\dvebmgs00\exe\saplicense -install"
It will ask you to enter the password for the NSPADM user - You would have chosen a password for this user when installing NW2004s.
Enter the information as it asks...
(This is basically running "c:\usr\sap\nsp\dvebmgs00\exe\saplicense -install" under the nspadm user - Licenses which are installed through the command line have to be done while logged on with this user. The RUNAS command just makes it easier as you don't actually have to log out and back in as NSPADM. Make sure that you server is shut down before doing this.

  • Is a license key needed for SAP WAS 6.40 sp16  sneak preview edition

    Hello Guys,
I have a basic question regarding license key. Do I have to request a license from http://service.sap.com/licensekey from sap for the sneak preview evaluation edition?
I think it is nowhere mentioned in the downloads page for the WAS 6.40 J2EE Edition.
But I was reading in couple of other posts that the system runs for only 30 mins after the first installation somthing like that. I am confused.
    Please clarify.
    Thanks

    Hello,
read this <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/bb493f34-0801-0010-a3bc-ce2821492490">PDF</a> and if your system is named NSP then you can go to <a href="http://www.sap.com/platform/netweaver/minisap.epx">Licensing Procedure for the Mini SAP System</a> and get there a fresh license.
    Hope that helps,

  • Sneak Preview ABAP NW04s license expired

    Hi,
I havenu00B4t been using the SNeak Preview ABAP 2004s system for a month. Now I want to use it again, but the license expired at Oct 17. I put the system in back date, i.e. Oct 16 to be able to connect with the system and I tried to install the new license, which I got from SAP Developer Network.
My problem is that I am not able to install the new license. The expiration date is 20070221 because I got the new license, but when I try to install it, the system hangs and after a while I get a Dump.
I start the system with nspadm user and I also tried with c:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386\saplicense -install, but it was impossible too.
Please, can anybody give me an answer for this? Any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance

  • NW04s full version Sneak Preview (java): License check failed

I've seen similar posts, but not exactly the same thing.
I installed the Sneak Preview Full Edition (Java), and finally installed it today.  It shuts down after 30 minutes with an error from jcontrol.exe - the license check has failed.
It's not an expired license (I just downloaded it this week, and installed it today).
I've seen several posts related to using the Visual Administrator to manipulate licenses, but I haven't seen how to start this tool - there are no instructions I've found that are any more detailed than "start the Visual Administrator".
I feel like I'm almost getting it.  Can anybody provide me that missing link?

    Finally got it going properly.
I adjusted my system clock to fall between the licence dates found in Visual Administrator and restarted the system.
    It didn't work.
I uninstalled the sneak preview edition,
Set the system clock to 15/Dec/2005,
Reinstalled the the sneak preview edition.
    It did worked this time.
I was surprised by the licence dates in Visual Administrator. This time that the start date was set properly from 15/Dec/2005 to expire on 15/Mar/2006.
However in the first installation, the licence dates are
from Nov/05 to May/06 which is 6 months.
This time i got the licence from Dec/05 to Mar/06 which is 3 months.
I observed 2 differences between these 2 installations.
    1) After my first installation, while the jcontrol.exe is still starting some processes, I tried to login to VA couple of times unsuccessfully. In my next attempt to login to VA, it asked me to change my password and I did change it from abcd1234 to something else.
When I changed my password, may be jControl.exe didn't pick it up instantly and tried to use some services using the old password which might have caused the problem.
    2) In my second installation, I changed my system date to 15/Dec/2005.So.. to prevent any sort of automatic date synchronization, I've disconnected the internet connection.
This time the installation date was taken into consideration by the installer to create the licence.
It is still a mystery to me why the licence date was set to some old dates in my first install.

  • NetWeaver 04 Sneak Preview

    Hi,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver 04 Sneak Preview from Marketplace.
    1) While installing I was getting error: (jload.txt)
