SNMP Agent for Solaris

We're looking for a direction regarding an SNMP agent for our Solaris Platforms. The standard agent bundled with Solaris seems to have many issues and CERT outstanding advisories. I'm wondering what others out there are running, Net-SNMP?, the ESD agent bundled with Sun Management Center?, others? I've looked at the ESD agent and it looks as though this would provide Temps, Fan Speeds, etc... for our servers but it seems as though it's lacking things like 1/5/15 minute load averages, CPU/Disk utilization etc...
Any experiences are welcome!

The same problem with me too. Im using Net-SNMP, but may be one cant trust its reliability and even if we use Net-SNMP loading of PERL scripts/modules is difficult in solaris.
If you got /gathered any useful information please let me too know.

I've already installed Windows SNMP agent but I haven't any idea how to configure Oracle in order to grant SNMP monitoring.

In fact, I already found this doc in oracle, but it just show executables I have to install and my question can I install these executables.
I've already installed Windows SNMP agent, configured and testedwith disk space checkings, but it doesn't work fine with Oracle.
I launched Oracle Universal Installer and I checked Installed Products, but I haven't found how to install SNMP agents for oracle.
How can I add Oracle Peer Master Agent and Encapsulator to my oracle installation?

Grid Control Agent for Solaris 10 x86 32bit (not 64 bit)

Hi,
I am trying to locate the 32 bit version of Solaris 10 x86 agent for Grid Control OEM 11g (11.1.0.1.0).
There is only a X86 64 bit version listed at the download site.
My isainfo shows that solaris install is 32 bit.
Does anybody know if a 32 bit version of the agent for Grid Control 11g is available.

OEM Grid Control Release (not just agent) for Solaris x86?

I see management agents that can be downloaded off of OTN, but is there an official release of Grid Control for Solaris on x86?

Oracle has no plans for 10.2.0.4 and for 10.2.0.5 it's expected by Q3 on x86(32&64)

Snmp mibs for solaris 9 sparc edition - cannot be found anywhere

i am looking for the mibs to download for solaris 9 sparc, but they are nowhere to be found on sun's site. can anyone point me in the right direction of where they can be obtained?
any other information regarding sun and snmp is appreciated as well.

Grid control agent for Solaris 10 x86-64

Are there any estimated release dates for a Solaris 10 x86-64 version of the grid control agent?

This is what I get from the SR...
"Date of availability for the Oracle Management Agent on Sun x64 Solaris 10 is Planned, but not yet available. Estimated date of release has not yet been disclosed. Sorry, there is no further information."
So it's possible to run a database on Solaris 10 x86-64 but there's no grid control agent. Lovely.

SMD agents for Solaris X86_64

According to PAM Solaris X86_64 is released generally for WebAS 7.00 ABAP + Java (NW2004s SR1 to be exact).
However, there are no SMD agents available for that platform. Any idea why those will be published?

i am new to solaris and i need to change a snmp string for solaris server and we need to add this server into the monitoring system.
Please tell me the PKG which need to installed in the client ( solaris box ) .
As of now , i can find these PKGs installed in the machine .

Do i need to install any package for setting the snmp string and please tell me the configuration file where i need to

before running autoconfig?If you have the latest AutoConfig patch applied, then I believe it is not required. However, it should be OK to run this command to purge FND_NODES table before running AutoConfig.

Can't see Solaris X86/SPARC Agents for 12c

I've ran the manual updates and automatic updates and the only agents i can see in the repository are still the linux x86 and X64 agents. Is there any way to manually load the agent to the repository so we can start testing the deployment?
I see the sparc/x86 agents are available for manual download on OTN

Go to Setup > Extensibility > Self Update. From the Self Update page, look in the Agent Software folder, you should see information showing that agents for Solaris x86 (64-bit) and Solaris Sparc (64bit) are available.
If necessary, see the following doc for information on using Self Update:

$ java weblogic.SNMPAgent, it is asking me for the password , and I gave the same.

way back we had the same problem and the reason was, that the path
names with the server instances were to long
(/opt/wlsroot/wlsInstances/axsExpert.SwissAir/S_243_7001 ->
/opt/wlsroot/wlsInstances/axsExpert.SAir/S_243_7001). But this was
with WLS 5.1 SP8.

SNMP configuration for V480

I've six SUN SERVERS. Four are V890 with Solaris 8 and the other two V480 with Solaris 10. How to configure SNMP in all these ? I want to send SNMP traps to a NMS. How to achieve it ? snmpd daemon is present in V480 machine.
