SNMP for LaserJet 4250N

I am trying to test receipt of SNMP traps from the aabove printer. I am using the Trap Receiver in the IReasoning MIB Browser.
I have configued SNMP on the printer :
      SNMP Config        : Enabled
      Get Cmnty Name     : Specified                   ( I   set to PUBLIC)
      Set Cmnty Name     : Specified                   (I    set to PUBLIC)
      Default Get Cmnty : Enabled
I set the trap configuration as follows
               SNMP - TRAPS
Auth. Trap         : 1
|    |   IP Address      |      Trap Cmnty Name               | Port |
| 1 | 172.28.84.31      | PUBLIC                             | 0162 |
I am running the Trap Receiver on 172.28.84.31     but I do not receive any traps(e.g when printer starts up)
What did I get wrong?

10.4 Server Firewall prevents printing to HP Laserjet 4250n

Howdy Folks!
I've been trying to print to a Laserjet 4250n from my PowerMac G4/733 running 10.4.9 Server, but the server's firewall causes the print jobs to stop and never reach the printer. Temporarily turning off the firewall allows the print jobs to reach the printer just fine.
First off, in order to "Add" the printer to my Printer Setup Utility, I had to open up port 5353 in the server's firewall. The printer has a static IP here on the LAN and is configured with an mDNS name(Bonjour). Other computers running 10.4.9 Client can print to the 4250N via Bonjour just fine.
Opening Port 515(LPR) and Port 631(IPP) in the firewall had no effect. Print jobs still stopped. So I started watching the firewall log and noticed that the firewall was Denying UDP packets in the 49000-51000 range anytime I tried to print.
I then added a rule to the firewall to allow all UDP packets in the range of 49000-50200 and finally my print jobs went through.
Does anybody know why this problem isn't documented better? I've spent hours today just trying to get my 10.4.9 Server to print on my LJ4250n that sits a mere 10 feet from the computer. I searched high and low on the 'net looking for information on printer ports, but found nothing about macintosh printing on UDP ports >49000. I'm reluctant to leave such a big range of UDP ports open just to be able to print, so I thought I would drop a message on this board to see what others might have done to address this problem.

HP likes port 9100 if I remember correctly. Why origin Server UDP outbound packets would be blocked is very strange.

Start
Devices & Printers
Add a printer
Adda local printer
Use an existing port: DOT4_001 (Generic IEEE...)
Next
Pick HP from manufacturer
Select HP LaserJet 3055 PCL5
Next
Name the printer something to your liking
Finish (or so, just follow the prompts)
Here you are!
Works every time for me, never had a problem from any application.

Does it become active if you go to System Preferences > Accounts and Click on the current Account Pic and attempt to take a Pic ? (you do not have to Set it as the Pic)
Go to System Preferences > Accounts
Click on Your Account (in the list on the Left)
The Right hand side will now show some options.
Clicking the current Pic will give you access to Edit Pic
One of the Options then is to take a Snapshot.
Take a Snap Shot but you do not have to "Set" the Pic.
This process will invoke VDCAssistant.
Explain further about the PRAM Reset please.
You should shut down the computer (Rather than trying to catch the Restart)
You should then Start the Computer holding down the AppleALT+PR keys and keep holding them until you hear three Start Up0 Bongs (Chimes)
This deletes some settings such as System Preferences Settings for the Volume (Sound) and Date and Time that may need resetting afterwards. (Others may also be effected such as Screen Saver)
On Spotlight.
This does not look or report on certain Folders.
At the Hard Drive Level this is Library and Syatem
In your Home Folder (Little House icon) it will not look in your Library.
com.ecam.iusbcam.plist and com.apple.ichat.plist
Are in your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
The Others are in the /Library at Hard Drive Level

Duplex printing for LaserJet Pro 1100

Directions for manual duplex printing for LaserJet P1102w

Since this is not an auto duplex printer, you will need to go into your printer properties and set the allow manual duplex check box. Once you have set it there it will duplex all the time.
Start menu >Device and Printers Folder > Right click on the printer > choose printer preferences > finishing tab (I think that is what it is called, if not look for the tab that has...print on both sides (manually) or allow manually duplexing (Sorry, I don't have this printer hooked up to a test box or I would get you a screenshot )
If you want to only duplex certain jobs, then you can do this through the application at the time you pick your printer by selecting printer properties (located under your printer selection button) and setting it for only that one job.
Open application > File > Print > Printer Properties > finishing tab (steps are the same as above)
Just remember...
Box checked = duplex (default option so this should already be set unless you have unchecked it)
Box unchecked = not duplex
Last word of caution on these instructions...you may have some variation as I am going off my memory here....my printer is not hooked up.

SNMP FOR ORACLE 10G?

Hi all!
i am trying to configure snmp with oracle 10g so that i can monitor oracle from some network management system like tivoli, spectrum etc.
i checked in my $ORACLE_HOME/network , but there is no snmp directory ...nor does it have peer. Do i need to run some script to create the snmp directories or there is another path for the
CONFIG.master
CONFIG.encap
start_peer
files??? Please let me know if someone has configured that???
Also, how do you test whether the agent is running on the server or not??

I'm trying to configure snmp for oracle 10g on Linux using OEM agents.
I followed all the steps mentioned in:

I'm nto getting any output when I did snmp walk using below command:
snmpwalk -t 30 -M /usr/share/snmp/mibs/ -m all -c public localhost rdbmsMIB
When I did snmpwalk using below command:
snmpwalk -t 30 -M /RDBMS/oracle/product/10.2.0.4/grid10g/agent10g/network/doc -m all -c public localhost rdbmsMIB (only difference here with the above command is mibs directory)

Configure SNMP for send trap in OEM 11g

Hi,
We have OEM 11g in our environment. We have to configure SNMP for send trap to third party application in OEM.
Our platform is Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4 . We have installes SNMP in Platform . As mention in document (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11857_01/em.111/e14091/chap2.htm#CHDFDJJI) we configure MASTER.configer file. Then we started the SNMP agent by root user through command ./start_peer -a.
We configure SNMP rule in OEM and then assigned this rules to method.
But we are not able to send traps to third party application(IT360).
I am not able to integrate OEM 11g with IT360.
please suggest me, where i am going wrong in this configration? or i have to do some more configration?

Configure SNMP for Sending TRAP

Hi,
I have never work on SNMP and i need your help to configure the same.
We want to configure SNMP for sending trap related to database start and shutdown.But we don't want to use OEM Grid because it require license. So is there any way to configure the same without OEM.
Please help me with the document or link.
I got the reference guide to configure SNMP using OEM but i won't help me as OEM require license.

SNMP for Catalyst 500G

Is it possible to configure catalyst 500G ports using SNMP? (How ?)
Or SNMP for this switch can be used only for monitoring purpose?

SNMP would be used only for monitoring.
Cisco Network Assitance tool is used which uses port 80 http.

RME 4.2 Inventory with no SNMP for FWSM

Looking at trying to get Config Archives setup for FWSM and ACE modules however we have SNMP
restricted in this portion of the network.
I understand that inventory polling must be present to get the devices into RME - is there a way we can get around not having SNMP for this inventory - a manual method maybe or some loophole we can work around?
Also will syslog work from these devices to RME?

To get the config archives, you simply need the telnet or SSH credentials in the DCR. Not having SNMP access will restrict RME from gathering device information for inventory collection and the device type will show up as "?" in the DCR. Syslog is used to trigger a sync archive if changes occurred but you will need to define the syslog server settings on the FWSM.

SNMP MIB file download needed for Laserjet 5550 and 1505n. Paper out, Paper jam etc.

Please assist me. I need MIB files for SNMP messages like paper out, paper jam, etc. The printers are LaserJet 5550 and 1505n. HP rules.

Manual duplex printing doesn't work for LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a

OS Windows 8.1. Printer LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a. Driver version 61.108.8.10073 date 2011 Apr 13th
1. After switching on checkbox "Print on Both Sides (Manually)" on "Finishing" tab of Print Properties Dialog and
start printing, dialog with instruction how to turn paper appears. Then printer must print odd pages, stop for
turning paper and then continue printing of even pages on the back side of paper sheets. But my device prints
all pages sequentually in order 1,2,3,... without any breaks. What is it- my mistake or possible bug in driver ?
2. Windows API function DeviceCapabilities with fwCapability=DC_DUPLEX for this printer returns 0 (duplex printing
impossible). This value for any other HP printer, even without automatic duplexer, always equel to 1.

I see by your post that you are having issues manually printing two-sided. I can help you with this.
The software for this model on Windows 8.1 is the Basic Solution Software and Driver. This basic software solution provides print and scan functionality only. Did you download and install the newest drivers?
HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw Drivers.
Check to make sure Bidirectional Support is Enabled.
Go to the start up screen, (tiles menu) type in "Devices and Printers", select settings, click on Devices and Printers, right click on the printer, left click Printer Properties, on the Ports tab, put a check beside Enable Bidirectional Support.
You might have to restart the computer.

Can't install drivers from HP for laserjet 1022 printer on my new computer with Windows 7.

I have a laserjet 1022. I can't install the HP drivers provided on the HP website onto my new computer. When it asks me to connect the printer, the printer is recognized, however the message continues to say waiting for the connection. I have tried all of the suggestions listed on the forum by both HP and other individuals, including down loading the drivers from other countries. Other attempts when downloading the drivers ends up with a message saying that the download could not be completed. I have tried other USB cables and that doesn't work. I love HP products but I really need help on this one. HELP!

When you connect the printer and if the message continues to say "Waiting for Connection", please try the below step..
Go to Device Manager, ( to do so , Right click on Computer icon, Select Manage, from the left pance m click on Device Manager , which would display the Device Manager on right pane.)
There should be Yellow bang entries ( Yellow ! mark ) with printer name on it.
Right Click on each of them and select Update Driver.
Select "Browse my Computer for driver software "
Click on Browse button to point to the CD ( if you are using the CD to run the installation ) else copy the path where the drivers have been extracted if you had downloaded it. Usually it will be in folder with name starting 7z... under TEMP folder .
Then Click Next button .

Mac 10.9.5 software for laserJet CM2320 FXi MFP

Hi,
Help!! is this printer ( laserJet CM2320 FXi MFP ) supported for the Mac 10.9.5 OS? If so, where can I get the drivers and software for this printer, as I can only find the firmware update on the HP Website for this version of the Mac OS.
I have downloaded the software of MAC 10.7, but the Mac won't install this version of the software!
I have been able to print on the printer, but it prints 1/4 of the text onto a A4 sheet. It seems to think it's set to A3 orA2 when it should be printing to A4.
Also, I can’t use the scanner as it needs the appropriate software.
Will this printer not work with Mac 10.9.5?
Any feedback would be appreciated
