SNMP MIB for N5K log message

Hello,
we have a N5k platform experiencing bug:CSCtn71292. Customer wants to monitor below log message, using NNMi.
%SYSMGR-2-VOLATILE_DB_FULL: System volatile database usage is unexpectedly high at 88%.
To do that it would need a SNMP MIB. Can anyone please let me know how this can be achieved? Or is there any MIB which I should use?
Many Thanks,
Girish

Hello,
The SNMP manager is using an incorrect community password to query the SNMP agent that on your Catalyst 6509.
I can see that multiple managers fail to authenticate with your switch. Please check your configuration to see if the password is consistent with your NMS configuration.

    Hi all,
Does anybody know where I can get the SNMP MIB for Solstice DiskSuite 4.2 ?
    Any help will be appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Simon

Yes, but some versions of VxVM require a 'rootdg' remain. You may or may not prefer to simply use VxVM to mirror root.
The packages are on disk2 of the installation media in the EA folder.

  • SNMP MIB for VPN3000 Memory

    Dear All,
I would like to monitor the VPN3000 performance through HP Open View. I could find the MIB for CPU utilization, but couldn`t find the MIB for Memory usage. Already browsed the MIB Locator on CCO but couldn`t find anything. Does VPN3000 not have a MIB for Memory usage ?? I thought monitoring the memory usage is a common task.
Would be appreciate for any information.
    Best Regards,
    Engel

Thanks for the link. But I meant that I already loaded all the VPN3K MIBS to the HP OpenView. And from the HP`s MIB Browser I couldn`t find one for monitoring VPN3K`s memory usage.

  • SNMP MIBS for 4240 version 5.0

Does anyone know where I can find the MIBS for the traps sent for each alert in IDS Version 5.0
I have looked all over the ftp and web on the cisco site and cannot find them.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
The process to get the CISCO-CIDS-MIB published on CCO is already on and hope you will find it very soon. Meanwhile I am enclosing the MIB here which you can refer to. The other mibs supported are CISCO-PROCESS-MIB, CISCO-ENHANCED-MEMPOOL-MIB and CISCO-ENTITY-ALARM-MIB which you can get from CCO.

    Hello,
Could someone please point me to the relevant OIDs to use to get the summary output via SNMP alike what we obtain from 'show ip route profile'?
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
The OID is the ipRouteTable (1.3.6.1.2.1.4.21). This OID is included in the
RFC1213-MIB and it has an entry for each route to a particular destination.
I hope this will help !!

  • Xserve SNMP-MIBs for Vital Hardware Stats

    Hello,
I'm trying to get "vital hardware informations" (CPU Usage, CPU temperature, Memory, ...) "à-la-ServerMonitor" with SNMP.
I use http://www.netmrg.net/ (very nice package of MRTG monitoring) and I need strings line 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.1.8.0
I have downloaded CocoaSNMP (GUI mib browser) But I 'am lost in the trees
    I googled a lot ... no result ...
Any hellp will be greatly appreciated

There is a MIB. There is next to no information available on it, though.
    See this write-up:
    http://www.cuddletech.com/blog/pivot/entry.php?id=189
You can turn on SNMP in RAID admin and then snmp walk it if you want -- all you can really get though is the RAID name and the contact name.

  • Native SNMP MIB for DMP 4400G?

Hi.  I've read a marketing page that states that the 4400G has "SNMP support".  I know that DMM/DMS has SNMP, but can't seem to find a SNMP settings page on the actual DMP.  Am I missing something obvious?  I fould like to directly monitor my DMPs in Solarwinds NPM.
    tia, -Dave

    yes.
Doesn't matter what language the router's SNMP manager was created in. All you need to do is send UDP packets in the proper format to the router, and extract the information.
I don't know why you're doing this though. You should search the web: there are TONS of companies willing to sell you JAVA/SNMP libraries which do most of the work for you. This way, you can concentrate more on your manager application instead of how to handle and decipher UDP datagram packets.
    Hope it helps

  • Looking for SNMP MIBs for RV routers

    Everything is in the title.
I dug into Cisco's MIB ressources. Found a lot of MIBs but none corresponding to the RV routers.
Did anyone here have other source of information ?

    Hello,
All the RV Router's support SNMP v1,2 and newer ones support v3. CNA and Prime Infrastructure will work.
There is also a browser plugin called FindIT. This is a free tool that will discover any SMB devices on the network providing IP addresses, MAC addresses, Versions, and allows you to manage each devices.

We require SNMP mibs for the following hardware.
    CGNE-c29tor001
    CGNE-c55tor001
Can you please provide us ?

Usually the MIBs are as per the supported IOS or Software running on the device. You can check the software running on the device using show version and check the supporting MIBs on those softwares here :

  • SNMP MIBS FAS8020

I am new to NETAPP at our organisation, our team is taking over them from another team with the arival of 2 FAS8020's on Netapp 8.3
So far no major issues except that I am trying to find up to date SNMP Mibs for our Monitoring System.
    I  found this link
    http://mysupport.netapp.com/NOW/download/tools/mib/
But the files seem to be garbage once unpacked and don't look like a MIB file.
I see lots of reference to  the mibs being in "/etc/mibs" which would be fine if the CLI looked like a *Nix shell but it does not.
    Cheers
    Rob

Hi, In Clustered Data ONTAP environment, go to nodeshell to see the MIB versionFrom advanced mode in node shellNode01*> ls /etc/mib
    netapp.mib
traps.dat Alternatively you can access the MIBhttps://cluster_mgmt_ip/spi The MIB download looks fine for me, are you getting an error while extracting? Thanks

Looking at the error message "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection" , It appears hostname and port may be incorrect. Review the targets.xml under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\emd and
emoms.properties under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\config folder to make sure host ( sap_solman) and port (1527) are correct.
As far as setting the environment variables goes, you can go to control panel -> system -> advanced -> environment variables and set the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID

  • Log messages for 'auditing' are different in 'general'  and'application log

    Hi,
From UI, When I audit a file using a profile which comprises of user-defined 'rules/categories/analyzers', I will get log messages at ''File-name(Application) log window' and 'Messages' log window, which are located at bottom of Jdev UI page. One common message in both the log windows is
    " <n1> violations, <n2> exceptions, <n3> documents, <n4> seconds>.
But here the 'n1,n2,...' numbers are dfferent in two windows though the log output is for a same file. In this the 'file-name' log shows the correct
    Example:-
In 'file-name' log window ,it shows as:
3 documents, 8 violations, no exceptions
In messages window, it shows as
    "Audit starting on EFC.jpr (Default)
Audit completed: no violations, no exceptions, 3 documents, 1 second"
If I use the 'pre-existed'(Jdev's) rules profile, I will get similar output in both log windows.
From this I concluded that there is something missing to register for a new 'rule/category/analyzer'.
Could you suggest me in this case. Do I forgot anything to do in any files of '<rule-implementation.java>', 'audit.properties', <add-in launcher>.java, extension.xml.
Actually, I want to use 'ojaudit' executable from command line to my project files. Here I observed that the output of the 'ojaudit' is similar to the above explained 'Message' log window in JDeveloper UI. But where the 'Message' log window output is not correct for user-defined rules.

    Madhu

    Romano,
In the upcoming production release (planned to be released next week), we added caching of authorized roles and permissions in JhsAuthorizationProxy class.
I suggest you wait for this relase, if the problem persists, it is most likely an ADF issue (as is the logging)
