Snooze on Alarm Clock

Is anyone else having issues with the snooze button not working on the stock clock app?
I used to have my alarm set to snooze every five minutes up to 3 times and ever since I got the froyo update, if I hit snooze it doesn't work and go off.
And before anyone says to do a "soft reset" and take out the battery, that does not fix the issue at all.
This froyo update has been more of a pain then helpful!

Sorry for the problems you have experienced with the alarm clock feature of your Fascinate. After some research, I found the following as a fix for the issue:
1. Go to desk clock and then to Alarm tab.
2. Then on Alarm screen click setting button(==)which is next right to home screen, where you get three options Add Alarm,Delete and Settings
3. Click settings, where you can see 4 options.
4. Select Side Button Behavior(Set the desired behavior of the side buttons when pressed during alarm).
5. Once you click that setting you will now get three options A. None(if you click side button during alarm nothing happens) B. Snooze(The alarm will go to snooze if you click any side button during alarm) and C. Dismiss(The alarm will dismiss if you click any side button during alarm).
Choose option B to snooze the alarm.
If this does not solve the problem, please let us know and we will be able to troubleshoot further with you.
Thanks!

  • Any way to set snooze time on the Alarm Clock

The default snooze time on the Alarm Clock is 10 minutes. Any way to set it to 5 minutes?

No, but there's and App for That.  Try Garage Bank for iPad in the App Store.

  • How to: Turn of the alarm clock after you've pressed snooze?

    Hello,
In the morning I like to use snooze once or twice and because there's a possibility of falling asleep again, I always use snooze instead of turning of the clock. However, when I do get up, I'd like to turn of the alarm and snooze, which I cannot find out how to do. I always have to wait for it to go of again, so I can turn it of.
I have found out that if you go to clock -> alarm clock feature, turn off and on again the alarm clock, it solves the issue, but the everyday clicking of that is frustrating.
Is there an faster easier way?
I also noticed there is a snooze countdown on the screen, but sliding it, does not turn it off.
    Thanks,
    Reg,

  • Alarm clock: about snooze time

Is it possible to set the snooze time of my alarm. How about the volume? I have Lumia 800 phone.

It says in the User guide about the snooze:
"Don't want to get up just yet? When an alarm sounds, you can snooze the alarm. This pauses the alarm for a predefined length of time.
When the alarm sounds, select snooze."
My question is how can I do the predefining? It is now 10 minutes and I would like to make it shorter.
Another question was, if I can define the alarm volume separately from the other sounds of the phone? How can I set the phone mute for sleeping time, and still use the alarm to wake upp?

  • Nokia N8 Belle Alarm Clock Issue

I was finally able to update my N8 to Nokia Belle a week ago and was reasonably impressed with it's attempt at an Android Froyo kind of thing, it is a step in the right direction. However-
I set a several alarms for between 6:45 and 10am today (I'm a fairly heavy sleeper). I snoozed the first alarm by turning over the phone to give me a few more minutes of sleep. The next thing I know, my sleep is breaking and it's 9:32am! All without a sound from any of my alarms.
I looked at my phone, and saw the box with 'Stop' and 'Snooze' on it, for the 6:45 alarm, as if it had just been activated and was waiting for me to choose either option. I pressed 'Stop' to get rid of the box and suddely similar boxes for all the other alarms started popping up in rapid succession, only then. What happened???
I was willing to wait 6 months past the original release date because I assumed such bugs were being sorted out properly; a smartphone shouldn't still be grappling with Alarm clock bugs - it should have better things to do. I'm hoping there's a quick solution to this problem, as I cannot wait two years for the next update. Please advise!
Also why does shuffle deactivate everytime I return to my song list? Seems silly, really - I don't want to have to keep turning it back on.

    First thing First!
AlarmClock: Being Honest! theres no such issues with the Default Alarm app. U might hav done sumthing unusual during sleep or your app had been crashed or it might b buggy or may b sum RAM issues.
    Its not a General issue.
I myself is a Heavy sleeper lke You!
    I too set 7 Alarms within 6:30 - 10:00 range.
All works fine with my Nokia N8-00 Belle.
MusicPlayer: Yeah! this had been a big problem for Music lovers that when you are Dazzling on SHUFFLE mode & once you clicked on a particular song in a list, the SHUFFLE is de-activate itself.
It might be a problem for Some people, but Logically speaking If you are in A Shuffle mode, u should not interrupt the playlist, if you do it gets deactivate automatically.
Nokia got a point this time

  • ALarm clock and sleep behavior

I am using Alarm Clock 2.3.8 with my G5, which wakes the computer up at a specified time and plays music to wake me up, but one issue I noticed on testing it. I have a password set to wake the computer from sleep and screen saver, and when the computer wakes up, if the password is not entered within about a minute, the computer goes back to sleep, which I know is a normal behavior, but in this application is kind of annoying. But also, when this happens, it effectively puts Alarm Clock in snooze mode so the G5 wakes back up a few minutes later and continues like this.
Is there any way to change the sleep parameters so that it won't go back to sleep if the password is not entered on wake?
    G5 Dual 2 GHz and iBook G4 14-inch 1 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

LOL. You could buy an alarm clock.
While waking to music may be nice, I find the alarm function of my Nokia phone to be the absolute best alarm clock I've ever used: it starts out at a low volume and then quickly escalates to an ear-splitting level that I find impossible to sleep through. It also has a snooze function, though the alarm is so effective that it wakes me from even the deepest sleep.
Most cell phones have alarm features, so you may want to try that if you have a mobile and want to eschew an alarm clock.
    Good luck!

  • Song as Alarm Clock Tone Stopped Repeating with iOS 8

This is a statement of fact rather than a question since the Feedback page doesn't allow me to submit anything.
Since the update to iOS 8, my selected MP3 as my Alarm Clock tone no longer repeats. It used to repeat in iOS 7 until you manually turned off the alarm or the Snooze. Now it only plays once and shuts off. Then the Alarm dialogue box remains open. I've overslept twice because of this problem.
I would also like to be able to use my own created ringtones as my Alarm. I am able to use them for my Voicemail and other Alerts, but there's no option for that within the Alarm Clock. Only purchased ringtones.

Happened to me, too (first morning after upgrading). One of those reasons I hate to upgrade and always put it off as long as possible...you never know what they're going to f**k up for you. Add my voice to the chorus of dissatisfied alarm clock users. Why DO they mess with stuff like this?!?

  • Alarm clock with Radio on 6230i

    Hi,
Has anyone used the alarm clock function with the radio to wake you in the morning/evening..?
Is it possible to use the alarm to play the radio for 15 mins and turn it off say to go to sleep with. The kinda opposite of snooze.??
Gratful for any info..or 3rd party app maybe?
    Crispy

    No honest ...try it! :-)
I use it all the time as a morning wakeup alarm! I just wanted to know if it would do the opposite...can't find it yet but I'm sure it would..I suppose I will have to develop the app for it!
This phone has hidden depths and I don't think there is anyone that knows it fully yet...

  • Why is there no option to change snooze in apple clock devices?

Why doesn't apple provide an option to change the snooze time on their devices?? I find this really stupid, it's one of the most obivious thing to add in an alarm clock. Yet that option isn't there! Why??!! Isn't iPhone meant to be the smartest phone in the world?? I'm starting to doubt that. Common apple!! Add an option to change snooze!!!!

I kind of had a feeling Apple wouldn't really have a direct line to themselves. They'd probably get too bombarded with questions. But I'd really love to know why they didn't add this option?? Why is it stuck at 9 mins snooze? And why 9 mins, what the ****?? That's a very odd snooze time. And would it be likely that they would add it in the near future? I don't like using 3rd party apps. They don't always work and they have to be running if you want the alarm to work.

  • Alarm Clock not repeating custom music

    Hello,
so maybe, this is not an issue for most people, but i have to know, if other recognize this change to.
I´m not waking up so easy in the morning, so I used the Alarm tool of my iPhone daily and was happy, when Apple gave the opportunity for using your own music as wakeup tone. Before updating, I used a regular track for waking up. This constantly repeated itself, as long as i turned it off or used the snooze button. This was very convenient, because I´m not waking up on the first play, so i liked, that my iPhone was not giving up.
But after updating on iOS 8.3, the music stops after he plays the track ones and never repeat it again. If I look on the screen after a while, he still shows the option to use the snooze button, but no tone.
It´s frustrating, because i oversleep twice because of that, so I wondering, why Apple change that. I don´t think, that this is an Software issue, because all of my iOS devices (Phone, Pad, Pod) working the same way now.
Does anyone noticed that change too?

Use IHome Sleep. It is great!! You don't need an IHome either!!

  • Alarm clock toggle

I use my iPhone as my alarm clock.  When it goes off in the morning I am able to snooze just fine but when I have to get up (finally), I am unable to slide the on/off togle to off.  I have to edit and delete the setting then enter a new one.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

    I have iPhone 5s.

  • Alarm Clock Problem

My alarm clock used to work correctly, but within the last two weeks, the only way to get it to turn off is to snooze it, turn off the phone, turn the phone back on, and then turn off the alarm (in the edit options of the alarm settings). The slide to the right option (to turn off the alarm, not snooze it), does not work, it only slides the screen to the right and the alarm continues to go off.

    Hello, valmichele14.
Try closing all open applications in multitasking and power cycling the device.  Test to see if the unable to dismiss behavior persists.

  • Native Alarm Clock interrupted by push notifications

I have an iPhone 3 GS with the latest ( as of 3/1/2011 ) IOS installed. The Clock application has 3 alarms set to go of each Weekday, 15 minutes apart , using the default alarm sound. This is designed to make sure I get out of bed for work in the morning, even if snooze or "ok" the first alarm.
    Environment:
My iPhone is plugged into the charger ( can't have it not wake me up due to dead batt)
Home Screen is in the foreground ( no apps open )
Screen is locked ( but not passcoded )
Alarms are set, the first one has snooze enabled, the 2nd and 3rd do not.
For the last 2 days, the 1st alarm goes off, I swipe to unlock the screen, the popup message disappears, and the alarm sound stops. Note that I am not given the option to snooze or acknowledge the alarm, as soon as I unlock the phone, the alarm turns off.
The next 2 alarms do not sound. If I fall back asleep ( like I usually do ), I wake up by myself, am late for work, and generally have a bad day.
Has anyone else seen this issue? I've tried a multitude of alarm clock programs, but I always come back to the native one since it's the most reliable. I literally own 3 alarm clocks but prefer the iPhone for that purpose.

I verified the issue. When my TextFree application notifies me ( popup message ) that I've received a new text, and then alarm goes off before I unlock the phone screen to view it, the alarm will not sound.
I turned off notications for TextFree last night, and this morning( day 3 of 3 of testing ) the alarms that I set up worked perfectly. This issue might be true for any program that can do popup notifications, but my texting program is the only one that gets a lot of traffic.
    Solved.

  • Alarm clock not working - 2700 Classic

When I set the alarm clock on my new 2700 classic, it does not sound or vibrate in the morning, and the alarm bell symbol indicating that the alarm clock is set has disappeared?
My dad has the same problem with his Nokia, it may be the 3610 fold but I am not sure. We have both had many Nokias before and never had problems with the alarm clocks.
I searched the discussion boards for similar topics but found no threads?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

  • Ihandy alarm clock pro no sound

I have used the ihandy alarm clock for a few years on my 3GS no problems.
It's great as you can set the alarm to your choice of music and give the phone a shake to snooze rather than push buttons
Since upgrading to an iphone 5 the alarm has failed to go off on three occasions... slept in once, wife's alarm got me off the hook the other twice
The first time I thought I had forgot the alarm or had the sound turned off. All other sounds on the phone were silent. A reset fixed things
The second time the display showed that the alarm was running but there was no sound. A reset was required to get any sound out of any application
On both occasions the sound button was set to on.
I wasn't able to reproduce the problem and neither was the person at the Apple store but they replaced the phone THANK YOU
That was a week ago and it has been fine till this morning... same problem, saved by my wife's alarm
There are a few posts about similar irrefular problems but no apparent conclusive solution
    Any ideas please?
    Thanks
    Peter

I've had the same problem with the iHandy alarm clock on my iPhone 4.  Sometimes the alarm works fine, but randomly (twice per month?) it will appear to be alarming, but with no sound.  Once that happens, there's no sound from any app, and I can only fix it by rebooting the phone.
I've tried checking the sound on the phone every night before going to sleep, but even that's not a reliable precaution.  One time the alarm sounded normally at the alarm time - I pressed snooze and went back to sleep - then the alarm failed to sound at the snooze time.
I switched back this week to the "12,24 Alarm Clock Sleep Music" app - it's an older app and doesn't have as many features as iHandy, but I haven't had reliability problems with it.
I wonder if iHandy's "background alarm" functionality somehow conflicts with the iOS?  The 12,24 clock doesn't have that feature, which is one of the reasons I switched to iHandy clock - but it's more important to have a reliable alarm.
