SNOTE Status

Hi All
I have downloaded a note through SNOTE.
When I then "Display" note, the Implement Status is "Completely implemented", but yet Processing Status is "In Process".
What is the difference between Implement Status and Processing Status?
And if the status is still "In Process", has it been downloaded correctly?
Any knowledge shared on the above will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Anton

Hi Anton,
You have to manually change status of note after it has been implemented..
If you see " completely omplmeneted/ cannot be  implemneted" mean processing has been done for tht - and some 1 has nt set its status to "complete" manually..
You can do this from top menu
let me knw if you have any doubts
Thanks of points assigned

  • SAP Note implemetation - SNote or manually

Recently for Budget 2007-08 for India SAP has released a master note which has a series of notes to be implemented. These notes includes screen, DDIC and coding changes.
As far as I know screen & DDIC changes has to be manually implemented. For coding related changes if Snote status is "Can be implemented" should one implement through Snote or manually.
Kindly suggest the merits and demerits of these techniques.
    Thanks
    anu

    Hi Ani,
After downloading the SAP Notes: Check the implementation Status. If it is "Can be Implemented" then the SAP Notes is suitable for implementation in your system.
Read the SAP Note carefully, this is mandatory there can be any other pre-requisite notes or some other notes that might have to be implemented along with this note which'll be explained in the SAP Note. Once you have gone through them.
Implement all the Pre-requisite notes and follow the Manual steps that are specified in the note. Once all the manual steps are implemented.
Click on the "Implement SAP Note" button to implement the SAP Note. you may get a pop-up here to read the SAP Note, say "YES". Now all the code corrections will be placed in the system in which you are implementing. The Activation pop-up will appear with all the objects that have been changed with the Code Corrections.
Click enter. Now the implementation of SAP Notes is completed. The implementation status changes to "Completely Implemented". Change the processing status to "Completed".
Please let me know if further details are required.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Goutham.

  • SNOTE Error - PILOT status?

    Hello,
I am trying to implement OSS NOTE using SNOTE transaction, but while downloading it i get  an error saying that SAP NOTE not released.
When i see the note in service market place i observed that the note is released on 04.01.2010  14:14:36 and the released status is PILOT release.
Could anyone explain what is PILOT release and how can i implement the OSS NOTE?
    Thank You.

    Hi
If a note has the status "Pilot Release" only customer which are in a special pilot project or rampup are able to access it.
Please open a customer message under component xx-ser-sapsmp-con, then we will check if you are allowed to access the note.

  • Snote Help

Hi guys ...we are getting following error , Formula is not available in the table RSAFORMMAP when we are tying to open the transformation or Transfer Rules.
When I check the SNOTE Tcode its saying that  Note 1061119  inconsistent and when I check it its saying that 1061119 Obselete Version is implemented,
Our BASIS guy saying that , it may effect other programms. So what should I do, Snote clearly mentioned  in the service market place that Obselete Version means we have re implement this note...
Can anybody tell me what is obsolete  version of Note implementation and how can I fix it ? Iam sure that If we implement this note again we can get rid of the RSAFORMMAP problem, But I am unable to force our BASIS guy ,bcas am not 100% sure that it wont affect other programms
    Thanks

    Hi
Thanks for the reply...Here the problem is with the sandbox...Dev and Prod has in good shape...Sandbox is giving us errors...So when I go to Snote in Dev and Prod its not showing any inconsistent or obsolete versions....but when I go to the Snote in Sandbox its showing Inconsistent...0001061119
So when I browse in each environment and check the status of this note , Its showing InProcess and Obsolete version implemented in Sandbox, Where as its showing Finished and Completely implemented in Dev and Prod...
Do you think there will be any other problems we wll get after if we implement completely in Sandbox as well...

  • SNOTE pdf Attachment

    HI Experts,
Can anyone send me the attachment present in the website,as i am unable to open this to [email protected]
    http://www.sappoint.com/basis/snote.pdf.
    Thanks in advance.

This link is not available so you can not download / open file.
Here are details about SNOTE -
    Use
Note Assistant (transaction SNOTE) helps you when working with SAP Notes.
After you have loaded the SAP Notes you need into your system, you can automatically implement the corrections (correction instructions) contained in them.
    Features
Note Assistant has the following functions:
    Reporting
You can display an overview of all existing SAP Notes and their processing status, as well as all implemented corrections.
    Project Administration
You can assign SAP Notes to users, who then specify them a processing status. The system informs you if an SAP Note has an inconsistent status.
    Logging
The system logs all processing steps.
    Correcting Errors
You can automatically implement the corrections (correction instructions) contained in SAP Notes into your system.
    Integration
When you import a Support Package or perform out an upgrade, the system automatically recognizes which Notes have been implemented by an imported Support Package or upgrade, and which correction instructions still need to be implemented.
    Activities
Your worklist contains SAP Notes in the following categories:
    1. SAP Notes that are assigned to you as a user.
    2. All SAP Notes that are inconsistent, even if they are assigned to another user.
    3. New SAP Notes that are not yet being processed.
Choose Download SAP Note to download Notes using an RFC connection. You can also load SAP Notes from the SAP Service Marketplace and then perform an Upload.
You can use the Note Browser to find any SAP Note in the system.
The note display enables you to read the Note carefully and view changes made to the source code in ABAP programs and other repository objects.
By choosing Check Note, you can check the implementation status.
You can classify the SAP Note and specify the processing status.
You can implement the correction instructions that are contained in the Note and then remove them if necessary.
In the Log, you can display the processing steps and add your own comments.
By choosing Corrected Objects, you can switch to the modification browser, where you can see all the objects that have been corrected by an SAP Note.
After importing a Support Package, you can use Modification Assistant to perform follow-up activities.
To ensure that the SAP Notes in your system are the latest available in the SAP system, choose Download Current Version of SAP Notes. If a newer version of a Note is available, the system downloads it for you.
    Loading an SAP Note
    Use
You can load SAP Notes in your system. You can do this directly using an RFC connection (SAP Note download) or with the file transfer method (SAP Note upload).
The download method has the following advantages:
    ● When you download an SAP Note, you can use Note Assistant to load it directly into your system by establishing an RFC connection to SAP.
    ● If other SAP Notes are entered as prerequisites in an SAP Note, Note Assistant automatically downloads the prerequisite SAP Notes during implementation (Implementing Correction Instructions).
    ● You can download updated versions of SAP Notes at the press of a button (Updating an SAP Note).
To download an SAP Note, you need to establish an RFC connection to SAP.
You do not require a permanent RFC connection to SAP in order to upload an SAP Note. To upload the note, you first download the required SAP Note from the SAP Service Marketplace and save it locally on your PC. You then upload it using Note Assistant.
    Prerequisites
    ● Note download: You have established an RFC connection. (See Activating Note Assistant)
    ● Note upload: You have installed the SAP Download Manager, which enables you to load SAP Notes from the SAP Service Marketplace. You can find the SAP Download Manager in SAP Service Marketplace, under service.sap.com/download-basket ® Get Download Manager.
    Procedure
    SAP Note Download
    1. In Note Assistant, choose SAP Note Download.
    2. Specify the numbers of the SAP Notes that you want to download.
Use the selection function to load one SAP Note or a list of SAP Notes.
    3. Confirm your selection.
The system loads the SAP Notes to your database via the RFC connection.
    SAP Note Upload
    1. Select the correct SAP Note in the SAP Service Marketplace under service.sap.com/notes.
    2. Choose Download.
The SAP Note is added to your download basket. You can repeat this action for as many SAP Notes as you require.
    3. To save the SAP Notes locally on your PC, start the SAP Download Manager. Choose Download.
The SAP Notes are loaded as files into the directory you have specified.
    4. Use the upload function in Note Assistant (Goto ® Upload SAP Note) to load the SAP Note files into your system.
    Result
After you have successfully downloaded or uploaded an SAP Note that did not previously exist in your system, the processing status of this SAP Note in the SAP Note overview is set as new.
    Activating Note Assistant
    Use
Before you can start using Note Assistant, you need to make some settings in your system.
There are different ways in which you can load SAP Notes into your system. You can download SAP Notes directly using an RFC connection to SAP, or you can use Note Assistant to upload SAP Notes that you have already loaded from SAP Service Marketplace. For information regarding the pros and cons of these different procedures, see Loading an SAP Note.
If you want to download an SAP Note with RFC, you first need to activate an RFC connection.
    Procedure
    1. Define the system change option (transaction SE03). Set the following:
    1. a. For the software components in which you want to implement the SAP Notes, set the status to Restricted modifiability or Modifiable.
    2. b. For the general SAP namespace, set the status to Modifiable.
    2. If you want to download SAP Notes using an RFC connection, create the RFC connection SAPSNOTE. To do this, first create the RFC connection SAPOSS and then create the RFC connection SAPSNOTE from this.
    Procedure:
    3. a. Call transaction OSS1. In the standard system, this creates connection SAPOSS.
    4. b. Call the configuration screen for RFC connections (transaction SM59).
    5. c. Expand the ABAP Connections node and select the connection SAPOSS by double clicking it.
    6. d. On the Technical Settings tab page, change the client to OO1. Now select the Logon & Security tab page and enter CPIC as the password for connection SAPOSS. Save your data.
    7. e. Choose Connection ® Copy and enter SAPSNOTE as the name of the new destination.
    8. f. Change the following parameters in the new RFC connection:
    Tab page: Technical Settings
    • ■ Load Distribution: Choose Yes.
    • ■ Target System ID: Enter OSS.
    • ■ Group: Enter 1_PUBLIC.
    Tab page: Logon & Security
    • ■ Client: Enter 001.
    • ■ User: Enter OSS_SNOTE.
    • ■ Password: Enter CPIC.
If you want to load SAP Notes from SAP Service Marketplace and then upload them into your system by note upload, then you do not need an RFC connection.
    3. If you have already implemented SAP Notes in your system but you did not use Note Assistant, you have to inform the system of the SAP Notes that you implemented manually.
To do this, execute the SCWN_REGISTER_NOTES program with the ABAP Editor (transaction SE38). (See Registering Manually Implemented SAP Notes)
    4. To view the note text correctly in Note Assistant, install Adobe Reader Version 7.0.1 or higher on your computer.
    Hope this helps.

  • SNote - Problems to implement SNotes

    Hi,
I have heard about an intrastat problem in a system, after it has been transported to another system in a foreign country.
Therefore I got the task to implement the Sap Note 533586, because in there the point 2 exactly describes the problems, we have.
But I only have impemented small sap notes. In this case, there have to be many other sap notes implemented before its possible to implement that note. Because of that I wanted to impement them automatically by using transaction SNOTE.
    My questions:
    - Where can I see, if the sap note is already implemented by a new support package. I have asked a basis guy and he told me, that the sap note should be implemented in our package level... But the problem still occurs!
    - I´m always getting the message: "SAP Note does not contain valid correction instructions", when I´m pressing the implement button in SNOTE
    - Should I download the previous Sap Notes in SNote and implement them seperately before?
Here is the patchlevel of the system. Maybe (hopefully) somebody can tell me, if the sap notes are already included, if I have to implement them, or what else I can do...
    System: 46C
    All patches between SAPKH46C01 and SAPKH46C48 (08.07.2006)
    All patches between SAPKA46C01 and SAPKA46C52 (08.07.2006)
    All patches between SAPKB46C01 and SAPKB46C52 (08.07.2006)
    Thank You!

According to note 533586, it was included in pack SAPKH46C35.
Do System - > Status, and click on the Component Information button (looks like a magnifying glass) and if it really is at SAPKH46C48, you don't need to apply it.

  • SNOTE  980690 - HELP NEEDED

Note 980690 having the status of "cannot be implemented"
Wonder the blocking factor of this note 980690 is caused by
the transport that we have created or not.
This transport was created base on step 20 to 33 of note 980690,
well before the snote implementation and it is on release status.
Is there anyway that we can revert back ?
    Your advise please.
    Regards,
    Clarence

    Hi Asr,
    first,thank you for respond.
But going thru the note 980690, under the correction instruction 839222 fall under the category of  45b to 500 release of transport L6BK118260, with type C.and also having a dependancies of note 931514 and 952305, which we already fullfilled.
Doesn't mean this should be able to apply thru snote procedure,as our sap version is fall under 470.
If it is of manual procedure, meaning that the abap team should drill down to instruction 839222 to do the modifcation ?
    Best Regards,

    HI
Some SAP note can be implement manually and some are can be implement through the T-Code SNOTE
once you go to the look at the sap note it provide the instruct how to implement ,
when you go to SNOTE T-code in the GOTO> DOWNLOAD SAP NOTE once u click it you have to download SAP note direcly in to SNOTE and you can directly implement .
if its not downloading to this place you have to do it manually from taking the access key from SAP .

  • Need to find manually implemented SNOTE

I need to find the manually implemented sap note using transaction SNOTE.I want to filter out which are all the snote that the user has implemented manually .is there any table entry that can fulfill my requirement.
    Thanks in advance..

    Hello,
unfortunately there isn't  a table that contains the items changed to the manual application of OSS notes.
    One approach might be:
First SE95 (modification Browser) extract the list of CR and of all objects modified by the application of OSS notes using the Notes assistant
Then check the SMODILOG table in SE16 with the following selection parameters:
      OBJ_NAME: Exclude single values: 'Z *', 'Y *'
OPERATIONS: Exclude single values: 'TRSL' (Translations)
      TRKORR:
Select single values: '<SY-SYSID> *' (first 3 char of your change request numbers) means that
all the change requests with modifications implemented in your system ...
Exclude single values: put in exclusion the CR numbers which refer to the notes impl.by Snote
Take the numbers of CR from the SMODILOG extraction; use them with the report RSWBOSSR; remove user name and pick all request status checkboxes.
    Run the report.
To locate the notes applied by hand among all the changes should be sufficient the description of the transport, otherwise you have to ask for information directly to those who have implemented the changes.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards.

  • ChaRM: Transport reuqest status inconsistency

    Hi Gurus,
I am having a problem when passing a correction to test in ChaRM. The error shows as "Not all transport yet released".
When checked from SE01, all transports concerns are indeed released.
I then ran a report from /tmwflow/reporting to see transports included in the ChaRM in question. There the statuses of two (out of all four) requests were shown as "D" = Modifiable. The other two were shown as "R" = Released.
I am wondering if this has anything to do with my not being able to proceed to the next status?
    BR Li

    Hi
I escalated the issue to SAP, it was found that three out of all four requests of the ChaRM (SDHF) seem not to have a CTS project assigned. All four requests are connected to the urgent correction task list but not to the maintenance cycle (CTS project). The analysis was that the CTS project assignments to the requests may had been removed in SE09. The requests/ChaRM were created by a developer and I couldn't not check/confirm if this was indeed the case. They cannot be added to project from the maintenance cycle's task list either as they had been released.
Nevertheless I am still puzzled by the status inconsistency information. From report /tmwflow/reportingn, and from table /tmwflow/trordhc all shown that the three troubled transports were not released. I am not sure if this missing CTS project connection is the reason the information cannot be read correctly. I don't know when ChaRM is doing the consistency (condition) check regarding release and import when "Pass Correction to Test", where the information is checked/read.
SAP suggestion is to import the requests manually with STMS. This of course is not the best solution, however there seems not another other trick to proceed with the ChaRM. I cannot set the status to the next with CRM program either. The "not all transports yet released" error persists.
Siddharth, thanks. Yes, the report i used was the one ended with "n".
Jansi, for some reason the note you suggested cannot to downloaded from snote tranaction in SolMan, so I haven't implemented it yet.

  • Apply SNOTE

    Hello,
I want to apply snote 32236
Please let me know, whats the correct procedure of doing this.
    Our landscape is like DEV (100) -. QAS  (200) -> PRD(300)
    In which client should i , apply the snote first;
In DEV, is it on 000 client? or 001 client or normal DEV client (100)
In DEV(100), i have downloaded the snote.
    It says , downloaded successfully.
    But information is as follows;
    Number 32236
    Version 125
    Processor
    Processing Status new
    Implement. Status Cannot be implemented
    Language EN
Short Text Incorrect stock qty or stock value in material master
    Component MM-IM Inventory Management
Whats mean by "New - Cannot be implemented "
Does this mean this note is not valid for the DEV system?
    regards,
    Zerandib.

    Hello Juan,
Did you got asked for a new transport while applying the notes?...
    I have applied snote 32236
Its not possible to apply this note through SNOTE as mentioned in the note itself
So there it not asked for a new transport. In other words, I haven't use snote transaction here.
Did you create a Workbench/Customizing request?
No , I didn't create such request. Do i need to create a Workbench/Customizing request?
I just simply followed the steps as provided by Arjun
(unzipped  the file and place the co-file and data files in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles (K) and data (R) respectively)
Did the cofile and datafile got created?
cofile and datafile downloaded from the sap note separately and uploaded that to the server
Then import the transport in stms_import transaction --> extras  --> Add
    regards
