SNP planned order availability date difference between APO and ECC

Hi,
I have observed that SNP Planned order availability date is not matching between APO and ECC. Details are as follows.
I ran SNP Optimizer with bucket offset of 0.5. After publishing the optimizer created planned orders to ECC, only start date is matching.
Example:
I am using PDS as a source of supply.
Fixed production activity in SNP PDS is 1 day.
GR processing time: 3 day
After running optimizer planned order is created with dates explained below.
Start date/time: 09.05.2011 00:00:00
End date/time: 12.05.2011 23:59:59
Availability date: 16.05.2011 00:00:00
Because of bucket offset defined as 0.5 optimizer planned order availability is start of next monday.
After publishing this planned order to ECC dates on the planned order is as follows.
Start date: 09.05.2011
End date: 09.05.2011
Availability date: 12.05.2011
I have not maintained any scheduling margin key in ECC. Also if I dont define the GR processing time, planned dates between APO and ECC always match. Can anyone explain the impact of GR time on the availability date.
Regards,
Venkat

Hi Venkadesh,
What's "state stamp"? Do you mean different time zone?
note : 645597  mentioned by Nandha is very helpful:
In standard, CCR will use duedate - "the available date of the output product".
Nandha's words "In SAP APO, if the receipt date of the primary product deviates from the
end date of the last activity of the order, the receipt date
always identifies this as inconsistent. You cannot rectify
inconsistencies of this type by using CCR."
I guess in your PDS or PPM, the output product is not assigned to the End of the last activity. Someone changed it?
Please CIF the PDS or PPM again.
If you really want to apply a note, please use note 815509 as you're using planned order,
and system will use order end  date in CCR instead.
GR time is always considered. BR/Tiemin

    Hi
Enhancement of new general ledger flexibility, that is you can enter user-defined fields  and update the corresponding totals (Profit Center / Segment / Region). Many standard reports can evaluate the information from the user-defined fields.
Due to the new document splitting function  (Online Split) you can create financial statements, if required, at the company code level as well as for entities, such as the Profit centers / Segment.
Using the u201CDocument splittingu201D function (online document split), you can create balance sheets for company codes as well as for further entities such as the profit center . The balance is then set to 0 for each document for the profit center.
There are no longer any time-consuming reconciliation tasks between FI and CO  for the end of period, since in real-time in Controlling, the system transfers cross entity processes into the new general ledger.
Transactions 3KEH and 3KEI  from the classic Profit Center Accounting for maintaining proposal profit centers for balance sheet and P&L accounts are no longer used to set the profit center.
Display of receivables and payable's per profit center real time ( if document splitting is active).
Detailed information for the setting the Profit Center accounting in the New General Ledger:
Define the update of the characteristics u201CProfit Centeru201D and u201CPartner Profit Centeru201D in the ledger by selecting the scenario u201CProfit center updateu201D.
Define the field u201CProfit centeru201D as a splitting characteristic in the document splitting.
Set the u201CZero balanceu201D indicator again for the added field u201CProfit centeru201D and you therefore have to create balance sheets on the profit center.
Activate the required entry field check to ensure that the profit center is set in all postings.
EC-PCA Profit Center Accounting u2013 Profit center accounting forms an interface between the operative controlling (CO) applications and the Enterprise Controlling (EC) module It reflects the actual and plan postings from operative controlling and settlements components with which it is in targeted in real-time. It then summarizes this data according to profit centers, which reflect the internal structure of areas of responsibility within the company code

  • SNP Planned Order start date in past

    Hi
After SNP run, for the past requirements it is giving avaiablilty data as today but the planned order start date is in past. Now this order fails in CIF as the production version in R/3 is valid from today.
In the strategy profile we have backward+reverse with infinite scheduling. In this case the start date should be todays date for past requrirements... am I correct?

  • Differences between APO and R3 sysytem.

    Hi everybody,
Can anyone list out the differences between the APO system and the R3 system.A detailed explanation will be helpful.

    Hi,
    APO
APO is the supply chain tool from SAP.
BW is the data layer for APO.
SAP APO is for Demand Planning and is a component of mySAP SCM. It enables dynamic supply chain management and which in turn includes applications for detailed planning, optimization and scheduling, allowing the supply chain to be accurately and globally monitored even beyond enterprise boundaries.
SAP BI is a reporting tool in SAP. It provides a complete view of the company. The solution is part of SAP NetWeaver and provides the tools needed to make the right decisions, optimize processes, and measure strategic success: data from all enterprise sources are merged effectively and can be comprehensively analyzed, business-critical factors can be monitored using external and internal benchmarks, the most important KPIs can be passed on to all the relevant forces in a company in real time, strategies can be rapidly adapted to changed market conditions, and the results of analyses can be graphically represented in a wide variety of formats, such as grids, graphs, and maps
    Check this:
What is APO and how it is related to BW
SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer is a component of the mySAP Supply Chain Management solution that you use for planning and optimizing supply chain processes at a strategic, tactical, and operational planning level.
With APO - Simultaneous Material & Capacity Planning is possible, as against R/3 PP
APO Planning is capable of taking all the constraints into consideration with Planning for Capacities/Scheduling
APO Resource (workcenter in R/3) does a Capacity availability check before scheduling an activity, if capacity is not available, it finds the immediate next available slot & schedules the activity there. This is not possible with R/3

  • PPDS production order dates mismatch between APO and R3

    Hi Friends,
We are facing one problem regarding production order date mish match between R3 and APO systems specific to a product.
The product is planned in PPDS and the order automatically transfer to R3 through online CIF.
PPM has got two operations 0010 and 0020 and activity relationships are like this:
    P(0010) - P(0020) Start - Start relation ship
    S(0010) - P(0010) End - Start relationship.
In PPDS dates are shown as :
on operation 0010 the start/end  dates are shown as  08.15.09 to 08.22.09
on operation 0020 the start/end  dates are shown as 08.15.09 to 08.22.09
Overall order start date is  08.15.09
Overall order finish date is 08.22.09
and in R3 dates are shown as:
on operation 0010 the start/end  date are shown as  08.15.09 to 08.22.09
on operation 0020 the start/end dates are shown as 08.22.09 to 08.29.09
Overall order start date is  08.15.09
Overall order finish date is 08.29.09
The order is off one week (APO vs R3) with start and finish dates.
if we change DS Board settings to ignore internal relationships manually then the dates are matching exactly in APO and R3.
We want the production order dates to be matched without manual intervention.
Could some one please provide some hints on what is happening here and how to correct it.
    Thanks.
    Krish

    Hi Friends,
Thanks a lot for your valuable replies in this regard.
Actually this problem is in production environment and it took some time to test the problem with the master data modifications
    you suggested.
As DB and Siddhrath mentioned, the problem was with routing definition. There is no parallel sequence maintained in the routing but there is start-start relation maintained in APO PPM.
We corrected the routing definition and checked the order dates. Now the dates  are matching in R3 and APO.
I am awarding DB and Siddharth each five points in this regard.
Once again thank you all for your time and valuable replies.

  • SNP Planned order START date should be displayed in DATA VIEW

    Hello Guru's
I have a very complex requirement. It is as follows
We are using heuristics and capacity leveling for our requirement. We generally see the planned orders in the SNP view but here additional requirement is that we have to see the start date of the production planned in the date view, ie the client would like to know when the actual production starts and wants to see the quantity produced on the first day in the date view.
In capacity view,we can observe the resource load which is the start date of the production planned, this load is in percentage now do i related that into quanitity and even if we do related that percentage in quantity then how do i see it the SNP data view plan.

    Hi Sriuppa,
you can use receipts view /sapapo/rrp4 transaction where you can see receipts. This transactions offers you the selection based on  product, source, target, dates, resource and you will get the list of orders.
Secondly ,if you right click in the receipts cell, select display details,it will show you order details at the bottom of the data view.
Please let me know if it helps
    Thanks
    Amit

  • Difference between APO and SCM

    Hello All,
        I am new to SAP...
Can somebody tell me the difference between SAP APO and SAP SCM.....
    Regards,
    Mary

    Hi,
SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) is the planning component of mySAP SCM, the supply chain management solution provided by SAP.
SAP APO is used to make strategic, tactical and operational decisions and supports you in performing the following planning activities:
    Demand Planning (DP)
    Supply Network Planning (SNP)
    Production Planning (PP)
    Detailed Scheduling (DS)
    Deployment
    Transport Load Builder (TLB)
Transport Planning and Vehicle Scheduling (TP/VS)
    Global Available-to-Promise (gATP)
SAP's endeavor into the advanced planning solution market was with the name SAP APO. There are other APS solutions in the market from Oracle, Manugistics, i2 and a whole host of other companies providing specialized planning solutions
Over the years SAP has brought the SAP APO solution under a wider umbrella called SAP SCM. Since version 4.0 of APO it has been called SAP SCM. So in the release strategy of SAP you will find SAP APO 3.1 followed by SAP SCM 4.0
SAP SCM is a more complete solution that covers planning, networking, coordinating and execution. In addition to SAP APO, which is still the core of SAP SCM, there are other applications such as SNC (Supplier Network Collaboration - erstwhile ICH), SCEM (Event Management), EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and SPP (Service Parts Planning)

  • Functional and data differences between W_GL_BALANCE_F and W_GL_OTHER_F

    Hi:
Can some explain what the functional and data-source differences are between W_GL_BALANCE_F and W_GL_OTHER_F? Both seem to group by GROUP_ACCOUNT_NUM.
    Thanks.

That is not possible; all transaction in GL Other will end up in GL Balance.
The two tables are essentially having the same data but at different grain. Two main differences:
    - GL Other have individual journal transactions; GL Balance have them summarized to the account level.
    - GL Other is truly additive since its just individual journal transactions. i.e. you can just sum() any number of transactions and wont double count a trx; GL Balance is a monthly snapshot table. i.e. it provides account balance for all accounts for every month end, so you can never add two snapshots.

  • Data difference between DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT and DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY

    HI,
I ran a query on a database few times which had different execution plan (basically first I ran with index and later without index).
I tried to cross verify the data from DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT and DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY for that particular query and found there were two different SQL ID for same SQL statement. Ideally if execution plan changes then only the plan hash value or hash value changes but in this scenario we have two different SQL ID with different Plan hash value or hash value.

    Hi,
DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY is a sampling of the sampling already done in ASH, however data used for AWR "snapshots" is completely separate and works just like Statspack did, so it can capture all SQL in the shared pool at the time of the snapshot if you tell it to - it is not limited to just the SQL sampled by ASH. Also AWR does not capture every statement executed in the interval, even if the statement was not aged out from V$SQL.
DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY displays the history of the contents of the in-memory active session history of recent system activity, DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT displays historical information about SQL statistics

  • End date difference between Outlook and mobile

When I use Outlook to create an all day event from 20 June to 22 June, then use Nokia PC Suite to Synchronise with my mobile, the mobile shows a memo in the Calendar from 20 June to 21 June :-( This 'one day less in the Nokia Memo' stays when I edit dates either in the mobile or in outlook and sychronise again.
When I create a Memo in the mobile, then Synchronise it with Outlook, the problem does not appear. Also, changing dates in Outlook of an event originally created in the mobile, is working perfectly.
The problem also does not appear if 'all day event' is not checked in Outlook.
    I use

When I have "31st December 2006" in the database, the
webapp displays "30th December 2006" and so on.
    I don't understand this one-day difference?????
Does anyone has some clue of why I get this?Because there is a lot of code between 'database' and 'webapp displays'.
That of course also assumes that you really do have the date that you think in the database. (Not knowing db2 I can only note that most other databases do not store dates. They store timestampes, which is different.)

I think you have a problem with the timezones; there are different in both sides.
Try to set them with the system property user.timezone. You can do it either inside the code (System.setProperty("user.timezone") )or in the command line (-Duser.timezone=...)

  • To build query related to SNP: Planned Order

    Hi,
    System: SCM 5.0
Scenario: SO received at plant and planning creates PR against SO at plant and accordingly SNP:Planned Order at Vendor location. If SO is cancelled/deleted (manually), sometime only the PR gets cancelled/deleted (automatically during planning run) but corresponding SNP:Planned Orders still remains at vendor location and so the dependent requirements. PR and Planned Orders are pegged to SO so one-to-one relation is maintained.
I could not find any reason why system is not deleting Planned Order at vendor location despite SO and PR is deleted at plant location. So I am planning to build query where SNP:Planned Orders are not pegged to any PR or SO.
Can anyone help with list of SNP:Planned Order tables so that I can build query around it to identify ghost Planned Orders.
Hope I was clear with my query but let me know if any further information is require.
    Thanks and regards,
    Devang

    HI Marius,
    Sorry for delay reply.
I was working on on some other more critical issues to business.
Finally we decided to built report to identify obsolete Planned Orders for which PR is not available in ordering plant. I have listed below logic for that report:
Get Location ID from table /SAPAPO/LOC based on Location entered in selection screen
Get PEGIDs from FM /SAPAPO/DM_MATLOC_GET_PEGIDS based on IV_SIMID as 000 and location id from step 1
In FM /SAPAPO/OM_PEG_CAT_GET_ORDERS, use SIMVERSION as 000 and in Import Para IS_GEN_PARAMS insert all PEGIDs from step 2.
From Export Para ET_PEG_INPNODE take From_OrderID and store in internal table.
Execute T.Code /SAPAPO/RRP4 with following selection (Use Selection Variant: OBSOLETE PR and add Location as entered in Selection Screen)
    Planning Version: 000
From: Current date – 60 days
    To: Current date +180 days
    Location: 0000201328
    Product: *
    Order Type: 1F
        6. Compare output of step 4 and step 5 and display result.
From FM /SAPAPO/DM_MATLOC_GET_PEGIDS the output (step 4) will be Order ID (22 characters) while step 5 (T.Code /SAPAPO/RRP4) will give Planned Order number (8 character). I am not sure how to compare Internal Order ID (22 characters) for corresponding Planned Order Nos. (8 characters).
I have not marked your post as correct answer as still need to find answer of above query.
Thank you in advance for your guidance.

  • Difference between snp planned order and pp/ds planned order

    Hi to all,
can any one please explain the difference between snp planned order and pp/ds planned order. I am relatively new to this area

The primary differences are as below.
    1. The master data for SNP Planned Order is SNP PPM/PDS where the minimum duration for an operation is a day. So it is used for rough cut capacity planning.
The master data for PPDS Planned Order is a PPDS PPM/PDS where operations are down to minute and second level. Moreover sequence dependent operation planning is possible in PPDS Planned Orders. It is for detailed capacity planning.
    2. SNP Planned Orders are created in SNP while PPDS Planned Orders are created in PPDS or when transferred from ERP to APO.
    3. SNP Planned Order need to be converted to a PPDS Planned Order before it can be used in the Execution System (ERP) for further processing - like conversion to Production Order. Moreover the category types of the orders are different in APO (EE for SNP and AI for PPDS).
    Hope this helps.
