SNP PPM Generation after the delta change in PPDS PPM

Dear Colleagues,
In oss note 1172838 SAP AG states that there is no auto link to
generate SNP PPMs from PPDS PPMs,when PPDS PPMs are changed from R/3
and recommends the customers to do that manually.
Yes, that is possible if the company uses not more that 50-100 PPMs,
but that is not the case in our business.
We have ~10000 SNP PPMs and it is impossible to track the changes and
update the PPMs manually.
What we need (when there is a change in PPDS PPM) is a report which will:
1. Delete SNP PPM with invalid mode combination and the Production
(Planned) orders which use that PPM. The old SNP PPM must be deleted as
the existing name of SNP PPM is required.
2. Create a new mode combination taking into account the changes in the
PPDS PPM.
Then we will run transaction /SAPAPO/PPM_CONV_310 and generate the new
SNP PPMs.
Task in point 1 can be done with transaction /SAPAPO/PPM_DEL,
but it does NOT give us the possibility to select only SNP PPMs
with invalid/obsolete mode combinations. Besides that it can not be run in
background, but in foreground.
Would you share you experience if you have faced the same/similar problem.

The problem is that the mentioned check does not work. I have even opened an oss message where I have got the following answer:
First you have to re-generate the SNP PPM (invalidity of the old mode combination will be generated) and then the
check will warn you about the invalidity.
This is so because at the first stage there is no issue of it being obsolete until a new one is created.
At the point that you Generate SNP PPM is when the mode invalidity is generated and not before. So its not possible for the warning to have come when there is no invalidity.
/SAPAPO/SAPLSCC_CPIT2 looks scary. There are tons of includes in it. Would you specify which one is used for the mentioned check? INCLUDE /SAPAPO/LSCC_CPIT2F09?

IDOC sends/shows only the delta changes

Hi All,
I went to tcode we02 and trying to see the details for each IDoc number and it only shows the delta changes.similarly I take the IDoc number and executing the fm IDOC_XML_TRANSFORM then it is generating xml with only the delta changes.
Is that the expected behavior that it sends/shows only the delta changes .
where do we do the setting so that IDoc only sends the delta changes and how do we change that

Hello,
I don't know which IDoc type are you ussing, but I guess will be MATMAS or maybe DEBMAS.
For this two IDocs you can send delta or all the data, the difference is the transaction used.
For deltas BD21 is always used and this applys for all the Idoc messages for master data iDoc (like MATMAS, DEBMAS, CREMAS etc)
For send all the data, this differ on which IDoc message you want:
MATMAS --> BD10
DEBMAS --> BD12
So if you want to make this automatically just program a job for each program.

Vendor name is deleted after the approver changes the product category.

We have implemented workflow WS14000044(Completion by Purchaser) and
WS14500015(Item-Based Main WF).
At workflow WS14500015 level, when the approver changes the product
category, the vendor name is deleted.The previous validation allows the
PO creation , But the PO is created without vendor.
Furthermore under transaction process purchase orders 'BBP_POC' the
purchaser can not access in change mode to the vendor field in order to
add a vendor.
How can we give access in change mode to the vendor field for purchaser in transaction 'BBP_POC' ?

Would NWDI work after the UME Change ?

Hi All,
Our Dev Portal UME is going to be changed from local UME DB2 DB to ABAP UME.
The CMSAdim user is: KABA.
Would the UME Change affect the SAP NWDI ?
Would we need to lock KABA in local UME and create it ABAP UME ?
What would happen if we keep KABA in local UME.
Please let me know.
I was thinking of DTR Replication; but we have broken DC in Considilation Environment and the
Assembled code has error.
Should we go for DTR Replication to Test Portal before changing the UME in Dev Portal ?
Our Dev and Test Portal are version SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1 SP6.

Hi,
This is my understanding of how UME works in NWDI, if there is anything wrong do correct me:
In your case it's LDAP UME for NWDI, and the CMSADMIN user KABA exist in LDAP.
Now when you change the UME from LDAP to ABAP, here are the things you need to keep in mind:
1. While configuring NWDI you define CMSADMIN user and password at installation time. ( this need to be changed )
2. CMS Admin user will be used at the time of Import or Export of Activities in CMS.
3. When you login to NWDI CMS Web UI you login with your id ( having NWDI. Developer or NWDI.Administrator role assigned )
4. But when you do an import it internally uses CMS Admin user to do the import.
So when you change the UME you need to create CMS admin user in the ABAP UME and change the password in the configuration.
And regarding Replication, my suggestion will be to resolve all the issues before changing the UME.
Resolve the below first and then make the change to ABAP UME:
a. Broken DCs
b. And then do the import once you have everything consistent then make the UME change.

ODS activation error after the structure change

      I am getting a short dump with " "DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC " error when I am trying to activate an ODS after changing its structure. Do I need to change any setting before loading the data in to the ODS after adding few more fields to it. Exact error says

The above-described symptom is due to a program error during the transfer of error messages. The problem can occur, for example, if a hierarchy is activated during the activation of an ODS object.
If the indicator 'BEx Reporting' is set for the ODS object, entries are created in the SID tables of characteristics involved during the activation of requests for this ODS object. Newly-created SID values must then be inserted into hierarchy tables. This is not possible for reasons of consistency if a hierarchy is activated at this time. The RRHI_CHAVLS_REQUEST_TO_HIERA function module is used for inserting newly-created SID values in hierarchies.
To simplify the search for the cause of the problem, additional error messages are now displayed in the monitor. If the problem is triggered, for example, by the simultaneous activation of a hierarchy, the error message RH 14 is issued. As described in note 717967, this error message contains the name of the affected hierarchy. If the activation of an ODS object is cancelled due to a serious error, this now also causes additional entries in the log of transaction SM21 (Syslog). These entries start with the character string '> RSDRO':.

Changing Portal Role after the status change of user status at the CRM end.

Hi,
I have Portal with Java database as the default and CRM is connected to it using SSO.The database in both the case in separate.The users that are created in Portal will have a BP status in CRM sytsem.
Now my requirement is that if the status of the BP gets changed at the backend simultaneoulsy its Portal role should also gets changed.How shall i facilitate this procedure of changing the Portal Role?
Is there any RFC ,BAPi or Webservices required for this?

Hello,
Since the status has no number it will appear under statuses W/O number bottom right in status overview window.
These status will appear as additional text beside current user status. For example if user staus is BUG and status without number is DFL and sets when deletion flag is set and gets deleted when it is revoked than user status will appear as
BUG DFL -
Deletion flag set.
BUG -
When deletion flag revoked.
You have to live with it. I don't think there is a way out for that.

How to configure a continuous pulse generation that doesn't end after the VI exits with DAQmx?

I'm just learning the DAQmx and I have run into a problem.
With the legacy DAQ API I could configure a counter to create continuous pulses and
when I needed change the freq or duty cycle, I would just call the the configuration function
again. The pulses were generated even after I closed LV, so it was all in the hardware.
Now, with DAQmx api, it seems that this is not possible. I read a forum post saying that
LV will end the pulse generation after the VI exits. Is there a workaround for this?
I could ofcourse create a LV thread for this, but I liked the old one better
It was simpler and I didn't need to worry about threads so much.
All LV operations are going to be inside a DLL that is called from outside of LV, so I can't
use LV threads in a simple way, e.g. putting things inside a while loop. Just that you'll
know why I wan't to avoid using the threads.

It is possible to achieve this behavior using the DAQmx API by using the DAQmx Create Task VI to explicitly create the task (rather than relying on DAQmx Create Channel to do it implicitly) and setting the AutoCleanup attribute to False. This method prevents LabVIEW from automatically clearing the task when your VI (or the function you'll be exporting to your C .dll) finishes executing. The disadvantage is that you might accidentally "leak" a task if you're not careful. In order to stop the pulse generation on command, you can either reset the device or somehow store the task name you created and come back later to call DAQmx Stop and/or Clear Task.

I got an requirement where they want to see the current data and also the changes that happened last week. For e.g.

as you can see, they want to see these both records in the query. I am running out of ideas , on how to establish this scenario. Can we some how report directly on the changelog table where it maintains all the delta changes.....

Some function modules you can use in exits are
DATE_GET_WEEK - Will return a week that the day is in. ( Current week)

Specific Datasource in a source system : how to modify the delta process ?

I have a specific datasource in a Sap CRM5.0 system that sends sales data by year and Business Partner to a Sap BI7 system.
The Delta Process used (AIE After-Images Via Extractor (FI-GL/AP/AR)) do not manage the deletion : if you delete the 2009 sales data for a Business Partner, these data won't be in the CRM system anymore, but they'll remain in the Sap BI7 system after the delta.
My client would like to change the delta process to send the deletions in CRM to BW.
In CRM, when i use the RSA2 transaction, i can display the delta process, but apparently, there's no way to modify it
Moreover, the RSA6 and RSO2 transactions are usefull to modify my datasource, but not directly its delta process.
I found the RSOOSOURCE table where i could manually modify the delta process for my datasource, but it doesn't seem right to do it that way.
Can anyone help ? Is there anyway to modify the delta process for my datasource ? Or will i have to create a new one ?

( Before saving it to DB i need to do some checks )
I could find the BADI and Fm's for checking conditions.
My question is i need to check for a particular status change how do i trace that that particular status which i need to capture has been changed??
i could see some FM's but it is only fetching the staus save in DB.
how do i trace the status just after user changes before saving it to DB.

Setting/Getting Parameter Values BEFORE and AFTER the param window loads

Hi there. My name is William Sanchez. I posted this question on Brian Wheadon's blog because I'm not sure that what we're trying to accomplish can be currently done with 2008 Crystal Report Viewer and was wondering if a future version will support this, or if we're just missing something. I've searched through the SDK and API and can't seem to find a solution. Here's what we're trying to accomplish
In a nutsheel: we think we need to hook into Crystal Report Viewer's parameter window from our WPF app.
What we need to do is to be able to pass a set of default values to our parameters AND, after that's done programmatically, still display the parameter window for the report. Currently, however, after you do:
parameterFieldDefinition.ApplyCurrentValues(currentParameterValues);
it's as if Crystal says: Ok, we got the value, there's no need to show the parameter window anymore. This makes sense, but we need to still be able to show the parameter window to the user because all we did (from our point of view) is to pass in a default "choice". If we were to call ApplyDefaultValues() instead, the actual choices for the parameter are overriden. We basically want to make a default choice for the user from the allowed values for that parameter. But we want to still present the parameter window with the default choice already selected, plus all the other choices available for that parameter. If the crystal report has parameter1 set to false as default, we might want to programmatically set it to true, but still show false as an option on the parameter window.
Part 2 of what we'd like to accomplish is that after the user changes any of the parameter values, and clicks OK to view the report, we'd like to catch the new parameter values in code to do something with them.
This is why we're thinking of hooking into the parameter window so that we can tell it what we want both BEFORE it loads and AFTER the user is done...just like we can hook into the CrystalReportViewer refresh button like this:
CrystalReportsViewer.ReportRefresh += new CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms.RefreshEventHandler(CrystalReportsViewer_ReportRefresh);

I did try Parameter.Default value, but what it does is as I mentioned above. If I have Parameter1 as a boolean, with possible values of true and false, if I set Paramter1.Default = true, the parameter window does come up, but it removed the false option from the drop down. So this is not a way to pick one of the various values for Parameter1, but to default it to only one of the values. It's close to what we need, but not fully.
Also, what are your thoughts about getting the parameter values after the user has made their changes to the CrystalReportViewer parameter window and click OK to pass them to the report. How can we programmatically get those new values?

How to retrive delta changes in Infotype

I am working on development of New Interface program from SAP to 3rd party application and this will run on daily.
I want to retrive delta changes record alone in 10 infotype tables.
I checked the Tech.setting of these 10 infotype table and came to know that log data changes & Maintain as transparent table check box is selected.
But i couldn't find any record in the table: DBTABLOG
Is there is any other table where the delta change in the Infotype get saved.
The infotype am checking is IT0000,IT0001,IT0002..etc
Could any one help me to solve this issue...

I doubt there would be too many (if any) changes to the data dictionary though.

[Bootstrap module]> Problem occured while performing synchronization.
From the system log, i noticed ,
log.OpenSQLResourceBundle#SQL error occurred on connection : code={0,number,integer}, state="", message="".#5#-4008#08004#[-4008]: Unknown user name/password combination#jdbc:sapdb://us21217509/J2E?timeout=0&spaceoption=true&unicode=true#<null>#
because of the changes done by me in config tool, the username / password combination is not considered by the system properly i think. Anyways not sure what went on wrong ?

Changed password of SAPJ2EDB user, cannot start WAS 6.40 anymore
When i search sap.dom fo the same ( as per the above thread says ) , i could see few relevant documents(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/cd/14c93ec2f7df6ae10000000a114084/frameset.htm ) , but not able to follow the instructions. because i couldnt able to open the visual admin to create new user or group .
Any one have any idea ?
