Have you tried another cable?
Another charging source? Does iTunes see the iPod when you connect to your computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and cracked or broken plastic.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

  • My ipod touch; when turned on brings up the apple logo, then after 6seconds stops turning on...Any HELP?

    Really Need Help!!

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

  • My ipod touch 5th generation is stuck on the apple logo, and i tried fixing it with itunes but it tells me there an error and gives me a code saying i needed to update my itunes and it was.what other ways is there to fix it.

ipod stuck on the apple logo. i did the itunes thing but it tells me error and gives me a code saying i need to update itunes but it was and i did again but it still said the same thing. help how do i fix my ipod.

Hey Edgar, how exactly did you do the updates? Are you running iTunes 11.2.2? And you iPod 5 is still running iOS 6.1.2 as your tag shows? or are you running iOS 7.1.1?  More info would be helpful. As Deggie asked, what was the error message, the more detailed the better. One more thing-- is this a Mac machine or a PC? Cheers.

  • My ipod touch 4th gen is stuck on the apple logo

Ok i just got this on Christmas n been working fine...this is the first time the battery been so low and i threw it on the charger and its just turning on and off and staying at the apple logo screen dont no what to do......HELP ME PLEASE!

    1. Plug your iPod into your computer.
    2. Perform a hard reset by holding both the Home button and the Power/Sleep/Wake button until the screen goes black and shows the Apple logo. Release the buttons.
    3. Wait for 15 minutes. It could take less time. Your iPod will make a sound and will show the battery logo.

  • My Ipod Touch 4th generation is stuck in the apple logo

    Hello,
I have an Ipod Touch (4th gen) but it doesn't get past the apple logo and if it does the screen becomes white but it doesn't do anything else. I tried to restore it through ITunes but that doesn't work either (always get an error). It's been like this for a while since everything I've tried so far doesn't work at all.
    Thank you in advance ^^

Any error messages or numbers given by iTunes?
If yes, check this article: Resolve iOS update and restore errors
Also try to connect in recovery mode to restore, explained here: If you can't update or restore your iOS device
If this does not work, your device has to be checked by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

  • My iPod touch (4th gen is stuck on the apple logo when you first turn it on?

So, my iPod has been acting weird since I updated to iOS 5.1.1 It gets fully carged and dies in three minutes. Well now it gets stuck on the apple logo at startup. It does the apple logo and shuts off and goes to the apple logo again. It does this repeatedly. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried resetting it multiple times, delete all the apps, all the music.

  • My iPod Touch 4th generation is going to the Apple logo when I press iMessage. What's going on?

    The title already says it.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    -  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I've spent hours on this and it's driving me crazy. I've repeatedly tried going into recovery mode, DFU mode, and restoring (even using custom firmware) but it just won't work. Is there anything at all I can do to fix this?
