So Confused S: Please Help.

Okay, I'm not sure if this is the right section, and I'm not sure how to explain what's going on, but I'll try my hardest haha.
Okay, firstly! a while ago my computer got formatted and I lost all my music so my friend gave me her iPod and I transferred all her music/movies to my computer and then to my itunes. They aren't the actual music files they're all like ADHS, GFJF, FNDD, etc. But when I put them into itunes they get named and work blah blah.
Okay so I have all that in itunes, but since then i've added alot more.
I now want to like back up my library, like how I have all the files now in that folder, but updated with the more I've added. I went to File>Library>OrganiseLibrary>Consolidate Files to try and put them all on a portable HDD, but it said my C:// drive is not big enough to hold it all before i transfer it to the HDD. I want to know if I can delete the folder with the itunes music files that I transfered from my friends ipod to my computer and then to itunes, if I delete that will the songs still play in itunes? and then I can copy them all to a new folder.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

Cannot find standart java files in DCs. I'm confused. Please help.

I need to create extension which allow users attaching files to orders in order.jsp I found standart uploadform.jsp and UploadAction.java. I've create in DC crm/home/shr/ext my own action class based on UploadAction. There're some classes in my class which NWDS cannot resolve. For example, class LocaleUtil. I added import statement by hand but NWDS cannot resolve it anyway. I tried to find LocaleUtil.java via DTR but found nothing. So I don't know in which DC java file is. Now I found only LocaleUtil.class in sap.comcrmisalwcassembly.jar but I don't know how to use this jar. Also this jar contains other unresoldev classes.
Please help me to resolve these classes.

This jar file doen't available in Libraries tab. I found them in DCs\sap.com\crm\isa\lwc\_comp\gen\default\public\assembly\lib\java (note that I haven't project sap.com/crm/isa/lwc) and try to add them in Libraries tab via button "Add external JAR". After that I try to build my DCs and get an error:

I am sorta new to Java. I've learned the basics of the language, but now I am finding myself totally confused with all the new stuff. There is SOOOOO much stuff on the java.sun.com website that I don't know where to begin.
Ok, here is my question. Well, questions.
1. Is there a document that describes when exactly one would want to use the J2EE as opposed to the J2SE?
2. I want to develop a multi-platform small business desktop application. This application needs to support multiple users accessing a database on a server. It also needs to be capable of accessing a web service via the Internet. And there will be a web-based version of the application. So given these requirements, how do I know if I need the J2EE or not? I would like to avoid requiring the J2EE. The idea being to have a desktop application that can be sold for around $100 per seat license. J2EE application servers are relatively expensive, are they not?
Where do I even begin? Can someone point me to a document or some information?
Incidentally, I want to do all my development on Linux.

Same answer in your case. Start with J2SE and work on learning Java. Also learn about Internet technologies. Then probably after several months to a year you will start to understand the business, and the answers to your questions will become clearer.

Did you try syncing your iPod with a new/different iTunes library? If so, an iPod is designed to sync with one and only one iTunes library at a time. When you sync it with a new/different iTunes, everything on the iPod will be erased and replaced with what is in the new library.
If these files you lost from your iPod are no longer in an accessible iTunes library or backed up somewhere else, I'm afraid you are out of luck. There are expensive data recovery solutions out there, but I'm positive if they will work with an iPod's flash storage.
You should be able to redownload most iTunes purchases via iCloud. For music imported from outside of iTunes such as downloads from another music store, or tracks ripped from CDs, you'll need to either rerip them into iTunes or redownload them from their original source if possible.

Urg, im so confused, someone please help!

okay, i have 2 questions, they might be kinda dumb but whatever, i need help.
the first thing is, my song list on my ipod, use to be in alaphabetical order from the artist, now all of a sudden its alphabetically by the song name :S how do i fix it back to it being in alphabetically by the artist?
the second thing, is that it just keeps saying its connecting, but its not doing anything, and i dont want to pull the cord out cause i know im not suppose to... but its not doing anything, it just says Do Not Disconnect..

Hi there,
In iTunes, sort your songs the way you want to sort them. Then update your iPod. This sorting order will be transferred over to your iPod.
To disconnect the iPod from the computer, in the iTunes source list right click the iPod and go "disconnect" - or just click the little disconnect icon next to the iPod.

I am having trouble trying to get my address book from my mac (just downloaded Lion for this purpose) to my 3G ipad. Set up an icloud account but still confused! Please help !

I updated my mac with os x Lion so that I could accomplish moving my address book from the mac to my new IPad 3G. I also set up an icloud account for this purpose, but I *still* cannot figure out how to move my address book from one computer to the other. When I'm on my mac and try to use bluetooth to export the address book, I'm able to find my ipad but I soon get a message that it does not support the necessary services. I have no idea what's going on and would appreciate any advice. tks in advance, Sarah

The address book syncs via iCloud, not Bluetooth or iTunes.
You upgraded to Lion so you could use iCoud.
On the computer. go to Apple menu > System prefs > iCloud.
Sign into your iCloud account.
Tick everything.
This enalbes the se items syncing to iCloud.
On the iPad, Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Create a new iCloud account.
Sign in with the same AppleID as your computer.
Settings > iCloud and turn everything on.
BAM!
That is all you need to do.
Your contacts (and all other checked items checked) will sync between computer and iPad.
No need to use iTunes

Safari Confusion! Please Help!

Certain websites that I have been able to view in the past no longer work on my iphone. I keep trying to remedy the situation by deleting my browsing history. However, when I go to settings>safari>Clear History, Clear Cookies, Clear Cache and click them, I don't think it is deleteing my history. Because when I go to type in web-sites they appear before I am finished typing in the full address.
Any suggestions???

Are those sites by chance in bookmarks on the phone? If so, that is why they will show up when typing.
As for why you cannot access sites now though...not sure.

'Send to' confusion.. please help!

I'm stuck! Can somebody explain why when I send a clip to motion, it sends only that chunk of the whole (only the time between my in and out), but when I send to soundtrack, it sends the whole 60 minute uncut footage?
I can't figure out how to edit just that small clip of sound. Even better would be to understand how I can edit the whole uncut 60 minute footage so that all the cuts of it see the edit. For instance, applying noise reduction to the entire 60 minutes.

Got home! Time to play with it. I see what you're saying about referenced media. I'll give that a try. But, do I need to manually stick in the in and out every time I want to send over a baby clip?
Alternative question, can I send over the entire 60 minute video to STP and process it and then somehow get all the clips to point to that? Is that a media reconnect?
I feel I'm doing something wrong. It can't be this tough can it? Just to do noise removal?

Issue with Proportional Spreading Script. Please help !

I have a requirement where I need to write a spreading script for a data form. On this form user will enter data at a parent level and what the script needs to do is spread the parent level input value to the 0 level members proportinally based on the values already existing in the 0 level members.
Say the account member is “X”. All the other members on the data form in the POV/Page/Rows and Columns are 0 level members except for one that is Product which is in the Page

I came up with this basic logic for the proportinal spread. Ofcourse I will need to include some logic with IF statement or something else to check if the cell belongs to product A or product B. For now, assuming the value is being input for A so now we need to spread that value at A to 0 level members proportionally.

Example with numbers:
Current member cell value = 100 (0 level member for Product A)
Previous Parent Value = 200 (Value for A)
New Parent Value = 400 (User inputs this new value by overwriting the previous value 200)
So, X = ((100*100)/(200*100))*400 = 200
Now, the logic of the formula makes sense to me and would spread proportionally, but my question is how would we get the “Previous Parent Value to calculate the % as the user will overrite it with a new value = 400 before running the rule. So, we would not have 200 anymore and unless we have it we wont be able to know the % to do a proportional spread.
I apologize if this is confusing, but please help me with your ideas on how can I achieve this proportional spreading script. I would really appreciate your inputs.

Laptop for Photoshop - GPU (Nvidia vs AMD) + Display (IPS vs TN) questions - please help

Hi, I am helping someone with getting a new laptop for PhotoShop work, and am very confused about a couple of things.
Hoping that the pros on this forum can help.
1. Dedicated Graphics card - needed or not?
If needed, AMD Radeon/FirePro (difficult to find on laptops) or Nvidia GeForce GTX 6xxM/7xxM or Quadro?
2. Suggestions on laptops with an IPS panel and wide color gamut.
Re. 1 - this is very confusing. From what I researched, the new Photoshop versions (CS6 and above) do use the GPU very effectively, and are using OpenCL rather than CUDA. Yet there are people on some forums that say that a GPU is not needed unless editing video.
My friend is not editing video - he is using Photoshop to create Digital Art. He does use all of the Photoshop features in his work. No 3D work, no video editing. The end result is Printed artwork - sometimes large prints 3 ft x 4 ft printed with geeclee on canvas/high quality paper.
Is a GPU needed, and if so is it better to get the AMD cards (Radeon most likely) that seem to completely outperform the GeForce cards in OpenCL at least?
Most of the laptops available seem to have the GTX 6xxM or 7xxM cards, and I read on one forum that the OpenCL functions are disabled on these cards. Read on another forum that it can be re-enabled with a hack. Thorougly confused. Please help.
Re. 2 - This too is confusing. Seems like an IPS panel has the best color rendition, but then they do not cover the entire color spectrum - or at least not as widely as the TN panels. If this will be the only monitor for work, is an IPS panel the best way to go or is it better to get a TN with wide gamut? Are there laptops with both - an IPS panel and a wide color gamut - without breaking the bank?
Currently the Sager/Clevo machines, and some MSI models, and ASUS models seem to be the best candidates. Had to rule out Dell Precision 6700/4700 and HP Elitebook 8770W/8570W due to price, but considering refurbished ones.
I am working with a $1200 budget with maybe some stretchability. Any advice/suggestions will be much appreciated.

At the potential risk of your pretending to kick me off what you misguidedly perceive as your thread—which by the way you would have no right to do, since you do not own a thread just because you started it—I'll have a couple of comments on your original thoughts.
There's no reason to be "confused" here.
1.— Utilization of the GPU is indeed always beneficial to using recent versions of Photoshop, regardless of whether you work with video or not. Whether you "need it or not" is a different discussion.
2.— Of course it's absolutely necessary to be able to work with a monitor that has a narrower gamut than your working space or even your output target profile. In my case, for example, as I'm 99.9% concerned with high quality prints, I work exclusively in ProPhoto RGB. I'd be in a pickle if I were to restrict my work to just what I can see on any monitor regardless of how wide its gamut were.
One just has to learn how to work in Photoshop. That's what Gamut Warning and Soft Proofing are there, for example. Printers are capable of printing some colors that are not visible on any monitor.
3.— If both the video card and/or its driver fail to support Open GL and Shader Model, no "hack" on Earth can make up for it.
4.— If someone came to me for advice on a laptop on which to run Photoshop well, my main and perhaps only goal would be to dissuade that person from wasting his or her money.
I know there might be flak from some laptop users for that immediately preceding paragraph, but hopefully not as much as you're likely to get—and deservedly so—from Mac Pro users for your astonishingly uninformed comments on those machines.
One thing is having a laptop as a second machine on which to show your Photoshop work to clients and prospective clients when forced to, and another one is trying to use a laptop as one's main, working Photoshop machine.
Going to a laptop publication (which I gather the obscure, niche-market "NBR" you cite is) for information on whether to use one or not is like seeking theological religious advice about world religions from the Pope in the Vatican or the Ayatollah in Tehran.
5.— In the past I had run Photoshop on a variety of different nVidia GeForce cards with up to 512 MB of VRAM, but with Photoshop CS6's more advanced utilization of the GPU I have moved to a mutant, factory-overclocked, flashed ATI Radeon HD 5770 with 1 GB of VRAM driving side-by-side dual 22" monitors in my current desktop Mac Pro 2.66 GHz under OS X Lion 10.7.5 and I couldn't possibly be happier.
I do run my second copy of Photoshop on my Mac Book (not "Pro") laptop with its stock Intel GMA 950 video circuitry and its paltry 64 MB of shared system memory, and it works just fine for the aforementioned purposes of showing Photoshop work to others. I wouldn't want to do any editing in Photoshop on that machine other than for minor touch-ups in an emergency, however.
Lastly, I feel compelled to add that, in my opinion, basic human decency would dictate that you offer Trevor some sort of apology for your presumptuousness in asking him to leave this thread. If I hadn't already begun typing this post before you posted your #6, I might have just ignored your thread. Considering the overall anti-laptop tenor of this post, you may well wish I had.

I recently transferred from a snow leopard to a lion, please help????

I recently transferred everything from my snowleopard to a lion. Everything transferred fine. I gave my snowleopard to another teacher to use and now both computers have my name. I have changed the user name on the snowleopard, but it still sends information as my name. Example: we have to put in a number code on a printer to be able to print, both computers send info with my name. Is there a way to change one of the computers to not have my name on it. I know this is confusing, but please help!!!!

The person you gave the old Mac to should create a new user account, via System Preferences > Accounts (make it an Admin account) and delete the old one.
Also change the Computer name, via System Preferences > Sharing.

I hope someone here can give more help than the BT call centre.
My speed has dropped dramatically over the last month. I have gone from getting around 3.5mbps-4mbps to now less than 0.5mbps.
I have done the BT speed test and I have also copied the ADSL settings and status. I have pasted this below.
Can someone please advise me of any advice as I am stumped. I would consider myself pretty computer savvy but I am completly at a loss with this.
This test is done using a wireless laptop whilst the Homehub was plugged into the test socket located on the master socket. The speed tests are identical to when I do this on a wired desktop and the Homehub plugged into a different socket.

welcome to the forum
you have a 5mb connection but your noise margin is a bit high at 11.1 as normal about 6. the real problem is your profile is down at 500 instead of 4500 and this is probably due to the resets/disconnection which eithe you have done trying to improve your speed or the hub has done on it's own.
if you stay connected 24/5 for 3/5 with no resets/disconnections your profile will rise to 4500. you may find later that your noise margin drops to nearer 6 with a slight increase in your connection speed

Techno Functional means it includes both Technical and Functional Knowledge.
For knowing Technical things, you need to go for ABAP HR training and for knowing Functional areas you need to go for SAP HR. I think for your profile SAP HR which means Functional side would be good. But for Technical, one need to have the basic programming knowledge of any tool/technology.Then only it will be easy, otherwise it will be difficult. But nothing is impossible.
Answers to your questions;
1.SAP HR is good in the market now and it will be good in future too.Also, competition is less when comapared with other modules.Very less people are taking this module.
2.Apart from SAP HR, the very hot hot module I can say is SAP FI/CO.It is king in SAP. Next comes Netweaver and SRM.
3.You cannot compare Siemens and local institutes. If you go for Siemens you will write the exam, pass and get the certification. Using this certification you can find a job easily.Normally, companies recognize only if you have some good years of experience or as a certified fresher.Because you do not have exp, this ceritfication helps you finding a job.But whereas if you go to local institutes you cannot get the certification and it makes very difficult for you to get a job.You have to put some fake experience and try. But this is not easy and not recommended.That too there is no gap as you are a fresher, so you cannot claim any exp. Without exp and without certification, no body will recognize you.
