I cant beli've how many people are complaining about this x-fi card. I have returned the card 2 times so far.. I either get a full c freeze or a freeze with a very high pitch noise in the speakers..
I have done everything there is to do.. installing the new updated drivers all teh way down too a full format.. some thing really must hadt teh x-fi card for there too be so much trouble
it also seems to me that there must be a conflict with asus and x-fi cards. if so Come guys sort this out..

About the stuttering issues, you must contact Auzentech and/or post the issue in their forums.
That is a more complex driver issue I cannot fix as I don't have the source code nor the time to disassembly the driver to figure out what is wrong.
Regarding the decoding, only Creative can add this feature to the Prelude because it works in UAA mode in Windows 7 / Vista and also has a special design, make it more difficult to "mod" the driver.

Back to my main question: I know, I always seem to post about whether or not Creative is doing something that others are doing... but I love Creative's products and I want to see more from them. Better quality products, especially.
Creative has HAD Flash-based players for a while... But they have few that are rechargable (MuVo X-trainer and Slim are the only I can think of) and none of those in the US (for sale currently) are over 52MB. Apple has just released quantities of TWO and FOUR GIGABYTES! Creative's largest is ONE GB for the Zen Nano and MuVo Micro (both require AA batteries or something... I'd prefer recharagable.)
So is Creative going to release any 2 or 4 GB Flash based players any time soon? I prefer them... Especially after my unfortunate incident with my original Zen and Creative's pitiful American support (in Ohio or some place).

When using a player that takes a AAA battery, just use a rechargeable AAA.

Yes, however they aren't practical for many people since they aren't compatible with Yahoo's unlimited music service. Many people would rather get a Zen Micro or Sleek and pay $60 a year to Yahoo to fill up their player with music rather than pay over $,000 to Apple to fill up their 4 gig player with music at 99 cents a song. With the Yahoo service, one can also change the music in their player without additional cost.

With Creative's Nano and Nano Plus, one can use a rechargeable AAA battery. Rechargeable AAA batteries are great since most chargers can charge 4 at a time. Four nimh AAA rechargeable batteries and a charger can often be purchased for under $20.
With the ipod Nano, once the charge in the built in battery runs out, one can't listen to it until it is recharged. With the Creative Nano Plus, one just switches to another battery(remember I just mentioned how AAA nimh batteries can be conveniently charged 4 at a time?). Taking an ipod Nano on a long trip would be annoying. While the player is small, the notebook computer one would need to carry with it to recharge the player is quite large. I would much rather carry a few extra AAA batteries than a notebook computer(I as many others don't even own a notebook computer).

I would also love to have one, but only if it is compatible with Yahoo Music Unlimited, uses a AA or AAA battery, and has a built in radio. That rules out Apple's players on three counts. -

For this requirement I came up with the following query:

As you can see, in line 06 of the above query, I am explicitly specifying the season for the query to return.
However what I would like to do is just one query that could autocratically go through the seasons and years available in the time dimension in a fashion similar to a FOR-EACH statement. This way, if we get more years added to the time dimension, we wouldn't have to amend the query.
Is this possible?

The trick was to look into the r_num value. As soon as I added it to my query I started to see how r_num was being calculated and I realised that I had to add Season to my partition, right after Year.

HELP! I have a dual monitor setup and can't use any of them for video??
1)I have a GeForce4 MX 64MB VRAM card installed.
2) the back is dual monitor capable, meaning it has 2 vga (CRT) ports, one on the right and an another adapted plug with a vga port on the end. ( i have no idea which type it was originaly.)
3) I have a big dell LCD
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED:
the adapter plug ripped off, reveal copper thread things and is now unusable. Although saddened, I was not worried because I don't use a dual monitor anyway and I switched to the other port. BUT THE VIDEO DOESNT WORK ON THAT PORT. I can't figure it out it just doesnt load any video?
the truth is i would rather have a dvi cable set up because i assume its better.

Reverse the sort output for autofeed copying??
is there a way to "reverse" the output for copying when using the autofeed tray? i sometimes copy 20+ page documents and every time i do this i get the first page face up and then the second page comes out face up and then the third so that i have to sort them so they are in order which is a pain. i am putting the paper in the autofeed face up since i don't think i will get any results if i put one sided paper face down in the tray (the copies will just be blank i think).
i know this sounds totally silly but i spent a lot of time resorting and for some reason it seems like it shouldn't take a NASA mission to let me get these printed out in order.
is this just a function of any bulk copying and i just can't get my brain to realize this or is there some sort of super bad autofeed order switch i can flip?
TIAReading your post it sounds like a limitation of the printer you are using. For a lot of printers with a document feeder, when you copy a stack of pages, the printer will print them face down so that they are in order. With your printer outputting the copies face up, you would have to load them in reverse order in the document feeder if there is no means via the printer control panel to print face-down.

I am locked out of my iphone. In resetting my passcode I must have hit a wrong digit, because the 4 digits I thought I used Don't work (and of course not my old passcode). I have tried the instructions both for "if you have previously synced your device with iTunes" and "If you have Never synced your device with iTunes" . Neither has worked and I'm in a vicious circle with each time after lengthy downloads it still all ends with the program, & my phone, asking for my passcode to proceed. I'm not sure if I have ever synced to my mac book (i may have) but my address book seems to automatically update on both devices without the need to plug in. Thank you for any knowledgable help that could efficiently get me out of this passcode ****!

If you have not sync'd your device to your Mac then you will have to force the phone into recovery mode and restore as a new device. Read the information in this link and follow the instructions to recover the phone:

How about the cookies for that domain - did you delete those cookies?
"Keep me logged in for ..... weeks/days" is usually done via setting a cookie in the browser so the website recognizes the browser when you return and automatically logs the user in to the website via that cookie.
It seems that some websites have a problem recognizing the "remember me" cookie after a Firefox update, and the user need to set a new cookie with the updated version of Firefox so the website will recognize your preference. This particular problem with some websites not recognizing their own "remember me" cookie started like 4 years ago, shortly after Firefox 3.0 was released with an all new method of storing cookies. In the last 4 years this problem is mentioned less often as the years went by, so some websites must have fixed it at their end - where other websites evidently haven't gotten a handle on it.
Websites really need to get involved in the various "programs" out there like Browser ID / Persona - https://login.persona.org/about - and get rid of that hokey "cookies" method of remembering the users preference for being automaticall logged in upon their return to their website.
