Hello Dudes & Dudettes,
I basically need to write a Flash game that would work through the Safari browser on the iPad.
Did anyone try to re-write the Adobe iPhone packager and make it work for the iPad? I am curious... ?
Also anyone knows if it is possible to hack the browser in order to use the standard embedded flash code?
I hate using the Xcode SDK, mainly because I am not that good at C++, and basically AS 3.0 would be ideal for me to develop for the iPad.

The passcode is a requirement set by the administrator of the Exchange server you are connecting to.
It is purely for security purposes.
If you do not want the passcode, you must remove the Exchange account. There is no way around it.

The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. I just recently got the Ipad and am having trouble with the location services when ever i am on the verizon wireless router the apps cannot seam to locate me does anyone know why this would happen verizon does not?

I have the new IPad and am using it with the verizon mifi2200 wireless and when i am using apps the location services cannot find me wifi is working and location services is on this does not happen when i am using a wifi that is at my office or in hotels does anyone know anything about this because verizon dosn't?

I have an ipad and an iphone. For the purposes of facetime, I would like to associated my email address with just the ipad and my cell number with just the iphone. I went to settings facetime on the iphone but it won't let me remove the email address.

Please see above. I have both an ipad and and iphoen. For the purposes of facetime, I would like to associate only my email address with the ipad and only the phone number iwht the iphobne. However, I cannot remove the email address from the iphone. So, when I get a facetime via email, it rings on both the iphone and ipad. Settings>>facetime will not let me remove the email.

I wouldn't want to say exactly, however I would imagine that it has to do with the fact you use the same Apple ID on both devices. Since Facetime was activated on the phone, with the number, and then activated on the iPad with the email and same Apple ID, they are somehow linked. I'm not sure that you can separate it without having a different Apple ID on the two devices. Otherwise you can look at this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3367 and see if that helps you any.

No, they don't.
Autosave and Versions are specific technologies that the developer must enable in their programs. It is not handled purely by the OS.
I don't know how difficult it would be to implement, but I doubt they would update 2008 to use them. Maybe 2011.

Can anyone get the mackie jog wheel to work with adobe audition 3?

I can get the 'scrub' wheel to work in play mode...but not in stop mode..to make fine adjustments.
I read elsewhere that the mackie wheel simply doesnt work with adobe.

Hi Cornelius,
At the top right corner of the Sequencer is a button that will let you select which MIDI controller devices you wish to enable. You can then select the channel this device is listening on from the MIDI IN dropdown on the track that hosts your VSTi. (The MIDI IN selection is an arrow pointing to the right.) For testing purposes, it may be simplest to select ALL for now.
You should then be able to use your controller to trigger and control the VSTi on that track.

While updating to IOS5.0.1, the itunes did not recognize the IPAD and stopped working

I was updating my IPAD, after backing the IPAD content, the iTune wrote a message "Preparing IPAD for update" and stuck for a while and I got
a message on my computer USB device not recognized and stuck. I tried many time on different computer with different genuine Apple cables
but failed. And I got this picture above. Is there a solution, and I read couple of similar complaints?

I did not get any reply but I am working on the problem, so this may help, so read this first:
Go to Device Manager and you have a listing of all your hardware components
Plug in your iPhone. Now you will see 2 listings that say something like "Apple Recovery" Mode in YELLOW, right-click, then click "uninstall", you need to do this to both, they should disappear now.
Next, you will expand the "Universal Serial Bus Adapters" at the bottom, which will give you a long listing, and look for the USB related devices. Look for "USB Composite Device" in this listing.
This is the tricky part because everybody is going to have different hardware from different manufacturers and the listing is going to be called something different but if you can figure out which are your USB ports then you are in business!
You will see 2 "USB Composite Device" choose the first one and right-click the "USB Composite Device" and click "Update Driver" Choose " Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click Next on the next screen choose "Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install" and click Next and you will see 2 drivers listed and choose "Apple Mobilde Device (iboot driver) "and install. If you don't see 2 drivers listed then CANCEL and choose the second "USB Composite Device" and follow the above instructions and choose "Apple Mobilde Device (iboot driver) " to install. It should work now perfectly.

But I found the iboot driver,you get it like that:
Select the USB Composite device and update the driver manually, use the "Have Disk" Button and browse to the \Program files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers, and select the iboot version
It worked and IPAD is connected

Parental Controls - Has anyone in the world actually made it work?

This function has got to be the least thought out, badly implemented area of any Mac OS X operating system. To put it bluntly, it's a pile of $hit! Normally I don't complain about my macs but the parental controls are driving me up the wall.
It's so bad I've had remove it from the kids account which defeats the object of it being there in the first place. I tried using the restricted access but impeded them enormously when researching for school projects etc, so I switched it to unrestricted accesss but even that doesn't allow any kind of accesss to secure webpages, so they can't upload their school work on the school's database, etc. I've resorted to manually dumping some restricted websites into the hosts file, which is a right pain in the arse.
I haven't even got as far as some of the other complaints that I have read. The time controls that don't work, circumventing passwords when pressing cancel, etc, etc. Who did Apples assign this programming to? The catering staff? Microsoft? Even Microsoft have got an infinitely better built in parental controls system in Vista.

Try downloading and installing the Leopard Server Admin Tools (works fine on standard Leopard; OS X Server not needed), and then use Workgroup Manager to set limits on accounts. There's a whole lot more fine-grained control with WM. It's like Parental Controls on steroids.

Why the iPad internal speakers not working with some applications and key sound?

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Just had an employee terminated most acrimoniously and had an iPhone 5C that was a brick. Apple support can help remove the lock. Better hold onto your original receipt and record the Serial# ! I do not mean the MEID or IMEI but the Serial# found on the original box or Settings>General>About. In my case no receipt or Serial#. 2 hours on the phone between Apple and Verizon and got what was needed. Submitted form and got reply to allow 2-10 business days.

Did anyone have the Nforce 5.11 Ethernet working?

i really want new drivers for the Ethernet that came directly from nvidia WHQL, but the damn thing doesnt work, i always get BSOD when it trys to install it, it looks like its Nforce 4 Ethernet driver and it isnt compatible with nforce 3 ofcourse,,.
bha with nvidia, they starting to make lousy drivers.. this nforce 3 almost ruin my Winxp, and i still doesnt feel comfortable continue using this windows after this big BSOD, because it messed the all drivers even after using Driver Cleaner.

I tried a lot of drivers on my neo2 but i always come back to the msi 5.03 drivers or the nvidia 5.10, they are both fast and stable. You dont need the latest driver you only need a fast and stable driver so give the 5.03 or 5.10 spin.
If you must have a newer driver try the nvidia 6.53 that has ethernet v4.75 whql, its the newest whql that works on my neo2.

IPad and iPhone not working with a monitor

I tried to get my iPad and iPhone to play Netflix on a Acer 20inch monitor. It started to work than stopped. I got a message that the display connected display is not sponsored. It there a download that is available to have my monitor display video.
I have them connected with a VGA connector. I functions for a bit then I get the non support message.

Do you mean per app? Have done for calendar on iphone, but reluctant to do so on ipad as that's the one that contains loads of updates (as it means deleting everything on the ipad?)... if I have to do this I will eventually, its just that as it's both my iphone and ipad involved, it seems like it might be more likely to be an icloud issue? She said hopefully...
