So distressing. please could someone from BT help ...
as part of a long running saga which started with us moving house last December we've come home from holiday to find our calls out barred and a letter from the Collections Department demanding money for a bill which is currently being dealt with by someone at BT (or as specified in their letter to us - 'a department') as we are disputing the sum requested. This is becoming more and more distressing, we sent BT a cheque but it was returned to us as unacceptable as it wasn't for the full amount. Over the last 4 months we seem to have been in a constant battle with BT over the lack of communication and incompetencies with services. Our bill is dated 28th February. The letters arrive at least 10 days after the date appearing on them and don't give us any time to sort things out. We've tried phoning the billing department but they are closed. Also tried yesterday but got the same response. This message is to register that a) we have a problem and b) we are trying to talk to someone at BT but no-one can help us. Meanwhile our calls are barred because we haven't paid a bill dated 28th Feb 2013!

so this morning I am determined to try and sort this out, agree what we owe and get a final bill sorted once and for all. I spend sometime on Live Chat and am then transferred to someone in Billing as Live Chat can't help. Am put through to a real person who agrees that the amounts of £75.00 and £7.50 for late payment should not be charged. agree final payment amount and am then put through to another department to pay the bill without being told I was being transferred. The person in this department has no indication on their system that I've even been on the phone to them. Decided that I would leave it till this afternoon and phone again to give the system a chance to update. Just called billing again who virtually accused me of inventing the conversation this morning as it's not on the system!!! tried to go through the whole story again and he's just put the phone down on me. now what do I do?

Be aware that:
You will NOT be able to order from the US Apple online store. You will have to go to a physical Apple store in the US.
The warranty is only valid in the US and you will not be able to get warranty service in Brazil.
With all of that, why not buy the iPhone in Brazil? -

Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back. -

Hi cb-anc! Thank you for replying to my question. The Library application has disappeared,not the library folder. I went into the application a couple of days ago to trash some plist files and now the application has disappeared. I haven't upgraded to Lion but am still on now Leopard.

You appear to be having a hardware problem. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your nearest Apple Store to get a diagnosis.

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPhone, and sign into your account again.
Note that you will need an account in the UK iTunes Store to use it.

Kernel-fglrx-custom: Please could someone check/improve my PKGBUILD
I decided to share a script as it has been very useful to me. I have never written a PKGBUILD before and it took some attempts to make a working one, so please could someone check the PKGBUILD over and let me know how horrible it is and what I should do differently

It installs fine on my PC, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not using the PKGBUILD file properly.

1) The name doesn't really tell the user what the package is for. "kernel-fglrx-legacy" would probably be more helpful.
2) Rather than pulling a script that will then pull down the kernel package, why not use the existing kernel PKGBUILD in the ABS? You can easily modify that PKGBUILD to apply your script/patches. -

I am making a recording of some slides in a captivate e learning course to be used as a demo for the course. Please could someone tell me if its possible to get my recording to record roll over captions. If I click on the roll over link rather than let the mouse just roll over it, in the recording it records the caption box but before the mouse path gets to it which gives an inaccurate picture of what happens, if I don't click anything then it doesn't record that I rolled my mouse over it. I'm hoping its a setting somewhere. I did try and add the captions as an image but then it doesn't show a mousepath aaaagggghhhhh!!! Any help or hint would be greatly appreciated.

I'm confused by your description. Are you saying you have created a Captivate that you are playing back, and recording the Captivate you created using Captivate?

Have you transferred your iTunes library from the backup for the laptop that died along with all other important data to the new computer such as documents, photos, etc.?
If not, all iTunes content on your iPhone will be erased as the first step when syncing the iPhone with iTunes on a new or different computer.
Have you launched iTunes on the new computer?
Is you iPhone avaialble under Devices in the iTunes source list on the new computer? -
