So earlier today I updated to the newest version of itunes and ever since I've been having problems syncing devices. I have plugged my iphone in and it will say its sync in the menu list on the left side of itunes but isn't working
I downloaded the newest version of itunes and ever since I've been having problems. When I connect my iphone to itunes, it will say its synced up, however when i'm trying to add music its just not allowing it to happen.
Also when I try to restore the Iphone or check for updates, It says connect via USB to check for updates or restore. The same with attemting to sync apps
I've reinstalled itunes several times and removed and reinstalled my portable devices. And still nothing. When I first plug the iphone in, it will to that auto play Windows 7 does and allows pictures to be saved onto the PC.
It seems like the syncing is working with some things and now others. Any idea's would be delightful??
I feel its more of my sync drivers for itunes/iphone not working if that makes sense. Its not my itunes that stops responding, its more of that if the phone syncs up it fails to anything further.
I've tried sync another iphone to the same itunes and windows autoplayer will allow the photos sorted on the iphone to be saved to the laptop but itunes won't even recongise the device is plugged in.

The current updates 10.1.13 and 11.0.10 no longer support Windows XP SP3. The last versions to test were 10.1.10 and 11.0.3 I think. But I wouldn't recommend using those because of the Security Updates in between those versions and the current updates. Microsoft doesn't even support Windows XP SP3 any longer. I would say to try updating both the OS and the applications.

I have the latest version of Pages 5.2 but I keep getting a message saying I must download the newest version to open my file, has anyone else had this problem?
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.01 can not open Pages 5.2 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5.2 files can not be opened in Pages 5.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed over 95 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Sorry for hijacking your thread as put by Dahveed. However I have resolved my issue so I thought I'll share it with the rest of you.
I checked for the error 3194 in youtube and I found some good videos that tell you how to resolve the problem. The issue I was facing was the actually (I know because I have resolved it now) the communication between my computer and apple server which can be fixed as following (if you are using windows):
There is file in following directory:
C:\Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
The file normally has no extension and it is in file format. You need to open it and make sure that every line that has apple server id starts with "#". In my case one of the line started directly with the ip address and then gs.apple.com.
Perform your restore/update after that and hopefully it should be resolved (mine did).

I bought a iPhone 6 yesterday and I restored my iPhone 6 from my iTunes back up. After my phone restored from back up. When I plug my iPhone 6 it's still saying my iPhone 6 is new and still giving me the restore from a back up or set as a new iPhone option. But I already have it restored. How come it's not giving me any option to cancel.
Click set up as a new iPhone. It will associate the device with your library without clearing the content that you have already loaded onto it.

Clicking over menu, list appears on left side?
I never had this problem before, not sure if I hit somekind of key or something.
When I click any of the top menus, (like File, Edit, Image, etc) The menu that pops up appears on the LEFT side of the mouse cursor. Normally it appears on the right. Kind of how it would look like if you minimized the program window and clicked on a menu. Not big of an issue, but it's a little annoying, how can I fix this?

I am not aware of any change I did myself, but the same problem (for this minute so far) was caused by checking Tablet PC settings > Other > Pen hold (translate from Czech version, can be different). There has been checked (which is right) that I write with right hand, but that means that the menus show on the left side. So I had to change it to left hand - right side. Apparently there is some conflict between this and some other settings in Win. So far I see menus in Photoshop are on the right side, but I hope that this Left hand setting will not cause any other problem. -
My notebook is set to update Firefox automatically which it did last night. Since the update, when i open the Firefox browser, it opens up several tabs after the home page. I am also unable to copy of the page, when i do try it opens up the very same page in another tab. Also i am experiencing problems with my Microsoft office programs, since the Firefox update was done. I am unable to open documents within the programs, when i do click to open a new document or try to open an old document, it automatically closes the program. My operating system is Windows 7 home Basic, 32-bit operating system.

Edit > Preferences > General > "Always ask me where to save files"
Then you may want to go directly to the source:

You should get the options to Save File or Cancel (not Open). Hopefully after saving you will be able to find the downloaded file in the location you specified.

Has anyone ever had this problem before? I would love some advice on how to restore my library with all my music. I have 841 songs on my iPod touch and yet my iTunes library on my account says I have none, ever since my sister made her account on my laptop and some of her songs have gotten on mine (the main) account. Not only that but my iTouch doesn't seem to want to accept any other songs outside of its list. Any advice?
Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -
i have recently purchased an ipod touch 5th generation ipod for my girlfriends daughters! im trying to sync some music onto the device but it is not been recognized on itunes. i have the device plugged in but i cant find the device on itunes! I have plugged my phone in to check if its the cable but the cable is fine as my iphone synced up perfectly! wondering if anyone could help me out??

ever since I downloaded the newest version of Firefox, my Dragon NaturallySpeaking hasn't been working very well. For example, I will say "click register" or "click contact us" to select links and buttons on websites. Before this worked fine, but now it hardly works at all, which makes me think that because I am using a Dragon NaturallySpeaking program from 2007 or 2008, that it just doesn't know how to handle a program like Mozilla Firefox six that was written after its time. Or maybe it's the operating system? I was running an older version of Mozilla on Windows XP and now I am on Microsoft's seven.
What I want to try is to download an older version of Mozilla Firefox to see if the problems go away. I don't know if that would mean I would use Mozilla five or four, but I would like to try both. My ipod is no longer syncing with itunes however, my ipone does. Everything is updated to the newest versions, itunes 10.5 and Mac OSx 10.6.8.

Sync problem - earlier today I updated both iTunes and my iPod Touch. Since then, I have tried syncing the two. The iPod Touch claims that there is no music on the iPod, however, when I connect it to my computer it says my full library is on there. At present, I am unable to listen to songs on the iPod when not connected to the computer. What can I do to fix this?
