So encore is basically useless now with prepro cc 14

using premiere pro cc 14, or media encoder cc 14, when i spent 6 hours encoding a blu-ray timeline to 480i29.97, it shows up at untranscoded. give me a break. i have been doing the same exact thing since 2010. how come all the sudden now its all "untranscoded?" anyone else seen this? just to make sure, i chose "h264 blu-ray > hd 1080i29.97" then i just changed the res to 480x720, and changed field order to lower first. left everything else alone, exported, opened in encore, "untrasncoded" the most frustrating thing ever.
if its not doing that, its saying the chapters are not legalized :-/
i'm tempted to just start using premiere pro cs5.5 from now on.
and as an aside, since encore is pretty much dead now, what all authoring programs is everyone else using that is not the cost of a car? i need something that i can use .psds as menus, and that recognizes the chapter markers set in premiere. anything?

Exporting to 1920x1080 results in dont trantscode.
As soon as you set it to 720x480 it gets untranscoded.

If your iPhone is locked to a wireless provider, only that wireless provider
can unlock it. Contact the wireless provider in Hong Kong to see if they
offer unlocking and if you qualify.
If your iPhone is locked to an AppleID that you do not know, return it for

activation can remove the lock. There is no workaround for Activation Lock.

I want to install 16 gb ram but I don't think I can change the lack of video card. I wanted this basic machine because it has fairly long battery life. I don't need or want retina at this time. My model is the mid 2012 model. I am running the adobe collection for mac, I want to run the windows versions. Is it possible? What is the most ram I could access using something like fusion 5, assuming I could get fusion 5 to work? would it refuse to run because of the intel chipset and lack of video card?
If I'm wrong and there is a way to add a video card to this model, could some version of fusion and windows 7 access more than 2 gb operating ram?
What cost would I be incurring, and would it be cheaper to buy a windows laptop with more ram than I could access via a virtual machine?

No matter what apple says about wireless, there are decades of legacy work stored on optical discs all over the world, and I don't want to be unable to open something at a client's office because I don't have a dvd drive. Additionally, I have very large files I want to transfer via ethernet or firewire so that the transfer will take less time and be more secure than wifi. I resist apple's trend to make every machine a disposable toy that is viable only a year or so. I have read reviews that label the mbp it a poor value compared to the air. If all you need to do is text and communicate via wifi, many devices will sufice, and an air is certainly the most elegant. But what about the cost of large ssd's and protecting the drive against damage from shock? I want to be able to move this thing around and the small size is much safer inside my padded bag when I sit in narrow airplane seats, crowded trains and other congested spaces. I am much more likely to be able to borrow a large screen in a client's office ( with the use of one of the three adapters I had to buy) than to be able to borrow a dvd drive that has drivers for mac os 10.8.2. I suspect this may be the last generation of machines that have optical drives and ethernet, and that was why I purchased it so that I could continue to do work into the next few years. I am impressed by the retina display, but I need long battery life. And as beautiful as the retina display is, it is even more of a problem when trying to cross platform with the windows world. I wish I could infuence apple to do a trial product flow for a machine designed to work with 80% of the business world that uses windows. How spectacular that would be. With all their expertise and adept hardware design, to create a machine that cross platforms better than a windows machine itself works? Now that would be an accomplishment. Instead of 8 or 9 percent of the total computer sales, why not aim for a higher percentage? Smart devices will keep moving toward portable computers in power, anyway.

Fusion should work on your machine and if you put 16 GB of RAM in (see http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_160 0MHz_SDRAM), Fusion can access a good portion of that. Also, in a Virtual Machine, the guest OS is presented with Fusion's video card emulation, not what's in hardware on your Mac. Of course, finding Windows 7 now that Win 8 has been released could take some doing and the Win 8 Pro upgrade price is supposed to jump to $200 the end of the month. Add that to the price of Fusion and the extra RAM and you're beginning to get into the realm of low end real PC's.
As to cross platform, I assume you're aware of BootCamp (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461).

Adobe Encore CS5.1 producing DVDs with flickering video

Hey all, new to the forums but been using Adobe software for a couple of years now.
I've got Encore CS5.1 as part of the Adobe Master Collection CS5.5, and recently I've been using it to burn DVD videos.
I made a video in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 a few weeks ago and rendered it as an mp4 file in h.264 HDTV 24fps (video recorded with my Nikon D3200 D-SLR). I then imported the mp4 file into Encore as an asset (I didn't use Dynamic Link to insert the prproj file into Encore) and burned it onto a 4.7GB DVD (no menus or anything, just a simple DVD) and it looked absolutely fine on both my PC and on the TV and the recipient of the DVD was very happy with the result. The video was 28 minutes long and 6.2GB in size.
Recently I have been making more videos in Premiere Pro CS5.5 and attempting to burn them onto DVDs using Encore CS5.1, but I've not been having so much luck.
Whenever I create a DVD with Encore, the video playback is always a bit 'flickery' no matter how I import the video into Encore (have tried using both Dynamic Link and importing the mp4 file as an asset - both result in the same problem). The video playback results in flickering lines and it's really distracting. Again, I am rendering in mp4 h.264 HDTV 24fps and burning onto 4.7GB DVDs. If I watch the video in Encore on the Monitor, it also looks a bit flickery with lines showing. The video I am trying to burn onto a DVD is 25 minutes long and 4GB (but Encore transcodes it so it's just over 1GB in size I think).
I am also trying to burn another video onto a DVD which again is rendered in h.264 but is 48 minutes and 11GB in size (Encore transcodes it so it's about 2.5GB) and the same thing happens: flickery lines which is really distracting.
I did briefly have a trial version of CS6 installed and I rendered the video again in Premiere Pro CS6 and tried burning to a DVD using Encore CS6, but still got the same results. I don't have CS6 now, I installed it purely to see if CS5.5 was the problem.
I don't understand why the first video I burned to DVD using Encore was perfect and now it seems to be giving me flickery video once it's burned to a DVD whenever I use it.
I have updated it to version 5.1.0.342 which at the time of writing is the latesrt version of CS5.1.

HT3728 my airport express unit has suddenly failed No power. I have checked the fuse. Is it useless now?

Try a Factory Default Reset as follows:
Pull the Express from the power jack
Wait a minute
Hold in the reset button first, and continue to hold it in for 7-8 additional seconds while you simultaneously plug the Express back in to power
Release the reset button after the hold period and see if the Express will restart in 40-45 seconds to a slow, blinking amber light
If you try this a few times and the Express will still not power up, there is an internal electrical problem with the Express and it will need to be replaced.
If you want to attempt a real longshot, carefully saw open the case of the Express along the center seam to open up the device and look for something obvious like a connector or wire that has come loose.

I am surprised that Apple did not build a converter into Mt. Lion.
Apple does have a converter built into Mountain Lion. It is call "Quicktime." However, in order to use this converter, you must first make sure the compression formats are playback compatible with QT. Basically, there are three levels of QT compatibility. The lowest is "Playback." These file can be played by QT but may not be conversion or edit compatible with QT. The second level is QT "Conversion" compatible. These files are playback compatible and can be converted to other compression formats using QT. "Edit" compatible media files are "Fully" compatible with QT since the can be played, converted and/or edited by QT. The main problem here is that AVI is a "legacy" file format that has not been officially supported by Microsoft for more than 11 years when it was replaced by Windows Media multimedia file/compression formats. Many of the original compression formats used in AVI files have never been transcoded for the Mac platform, use beyond system 9, or use beyond PPC platforms. In addition, some commonly used AVI codecs are proprietary or use non-standard (hybrid) profile and level combinations. In short, there is little wonder that Apple has been distancing itself from this outdated file type as it re-writes and upgrades its own QT structure to support more standardized, more scalable, more modern high definition file types and compression formats. It is really unfortunate that users continue to use this outmoded file type simply because it is freely available, easy to use, or they are simply too lazy to move on to a more modern or more efficient file types and/or compression formats.
I tested Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate for the Mac, which seems to be the "state of the art". I may be purchasing a new camera which might create a whole new set of variables. This program seems to cover all bases and is great for novices.
There are many third-party apps available if you wish to search for them. Many are even available in the App Store. Most do their job well and it is usually a matter of personal user preference as to which is best.
HandBrake seems more suited to folks with more experience and knowledge.
I mentioned Handbrake primarily because it is free and easy to use when you employ the included conversion presets options. (The TV options can normally be used for almost any situation depending on the source file and output requirements.) It is also excellent for more experienced users, but has a somewhat limited choice of output options as it does not access the user's system QT codec component configuration.

Now in Mini2 I did the same installation on shared printer but it is asking for user credential again and again, there is a check mark in "remember in keychain but still gives a notice that "requires authentication" I put the admin creadentials same with Mini1 then it prints.

If you get a network timed out error, try disabling the security software on the computer during the download and install.
You can also try a direct download andinstall by:
iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download
Nera the top of the page aretheinstructions for selecing the download for the install.

STEP 1: Open iTunes
STEP 2: Navigate to the "iTunes Store". It can be found under the "STORE" tab.
STEP 3: On the right side of the store there should be a "Quick Links" Section. Click on the "Purchased" link.
STEP 4: Navigate to the "Music" tab and click on "All Songs". Then at the bottom of the screen there will be a button that says "Download All". Click the button and your songs will be begin downloading!
NOTE: This will only work with songs that you bought from the iTunes store, if you imported them from a CD, you will have to do it again.
NOTE: You can also do this with Apps, Movies, TV Shows, and Books.
NOTE: You may have to sign in with your Apple ID to verify the download.

Trouble with loading videos - Manually manage music and videos not supported now with iOS5 and a 1st gen iPad?

Since updating my iPad 1st gen to iOS5.0.1 videos don't get loaded properly into the Videos app.
On the Summary page in iTunes of my docked iPad, I have always checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos".
I have my reasons for doing it this way, but that's for another thread perhaps.
The problem is that when I load a video to my iPad this way - by simply just dragging it from the desktop and onto the iPad, under Devices in iTunes - it copies/updates, and shows up on the iPad like it always has before iOS5. But now, with iOS5, when I undock, it can't be found anywhere within the Videos app on the iPad. The only way I can find it is to do a Search, which seems to find it, but when I click it, a different video plays - the first video in the Movies list in the Video app. Dock the iPad again, yes the video is there, according to iTunes, but no way to play it once iPad is undocked.
My suspicion is that with iOS5 you are no longer able to use the "Manually manage music and videos (Mmm&v)" that you will be forced to run everything through iTunes - and probably iCloud. I've unchecked the Mmm&v box, and get prompted with "Are you sure? - All existing content on the iPad will be replaced with content from your iTunes library". READ - "Rebuild your entire video and music collection, and this time run it all through iTunes. Welcome to iOS5. Have a nice day or two wasting your time rebuilding your entire video and music collection. Don't fight it. Use iTunes for everything! Until we finally make iTunes a decent piece of digital media management software, then you'll have to do it all again."
Okay, rant over - Anyone out there with running iOS5 on a 1st gen iPad with the Mmm&v option checked and able to load a video manually (not through iTunes)? Any other thoughts?

Yea, i managed to fix my issue in a wild fashion way But I DONT suggest it to anyone.
I like to hear why it happened after upgrading iTunes and if there is any peaceful solution.
Bythe way, here is how i fixed it :
1-i checked "manually manage music and videos" checkbox and clicked on "Sync" button
2-It showed a threating message that it will erase my music and videos ,......
3-I clicked on OK button and let iTunes do any thing she said , but the second it started to delete my treasures from my iphone, i disconnected my phone by pulling USB cable.
Now i have my musics and videos untouched and got that Option enabled again and i can manage my Music/Videos and Books manually.

So encore is basically useless now with prepro cc 14
