So, has anyone had better luck with the kt4 ultra's new bios?

ive seen so many posts on here about probs with the board (mines memory related) wondering if anyone has any positive notes on the new bios, or if they are still having problems... i had to box mine back up and install the trusty old FIC board, cause i COULD NOT get the msi to work. VERY frustrating to have what seems like a great piece of hardware boxed up for bios/other issues. do the msi engineers read this board?????? come on guys.....

the p/n is pp-303XP
thats funny cause my system is working fine now on an older mobo. ive seen many people with similar problems (see the "MSI and a total lack of support" thread) and i really dont think its the power supply. i will reiterate:
the system runs fine with only 256 megs installed (pc2400) as soon as i plug in the other stick, wallah, nothing. your saying that the 3.8 volts or whatever it is that the stick of memory consumes, prevents the computer from starting up or even posting? i seriously dont think so. ive even tried all different hardware configs (took the ati card out and replaced it with an old TNT card) and it still wont work.
i dont need to get a bigger power supply.
MSI needs to provide better support, and get off their %$#%$ and at least get a stable bios out. from the looks of the forum, these boards are totally $%^&&.

  • Has anyone had a problem with the letters literally rubbing off the keyboard?

Has anyone had a problem with the letters actually disappearing from the keybord, like being gradually rubbed out? My macbook air had this problem one year after purchase. They fixed it for free. Now, a year later, I have the same prob. Apple doesnt want to know.
I would be delighted with any suggestions, reactions etc. thanks in advance.

I don't have to be doing anything or be anywhere near the computer.

Has anyone had an issue with the app scramble with friends after upgrading to iOS 6. Tapping the screen will not select the tiles and hold them.

Yes I am having the same problem. I can't find any info about it and nothing seems to help. I am just posting this in hope that if it's a wider problem, there will be a quick solution.

Has anyone had a problem with their "spotlight search" not working? If I restart the phone it will work for a few days then not work again.

It's more likely the OP's router.  I have a wifi only iPad 2, yet location services work just fine on my iPad.  If I open maps, my location is found quite nicely.  I have seen that some routers do not provide location services and I suspect the OP has such a router.

  • Has anyone had any problems with the latest upgrade for iPad?

I have an iPad 1 and am being prompted to upgrade to the latest version software. Has anyone had any problems when doing this? Our PC runs on Wndows 7.
Having just resolved iTunes not connecting to the store after the recent upgrade, I'm reluctant to do something that could potentially screw up the iPad which does what we want as it is.

Ok, thanks for that. I'll hang fire for the moment & see if anyone else has any comments.
That's probably a good idea.  If you are happy with the system as is, I'd wait to upgrade.  I can report that my friends and family have mostly upgraded to iOS 5 without any problems, but as you can probably tell from other posts on this board, lots of people have run into problems.
As the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

  • Has anyone had any problems with the 10.0.3 upgrade?

I'm running WinXP and presently have Adobe Reader 9.4.3.  Before I upgrade I would like to find out if anyone has had any problems with the new release?  The last time I upgraded an Adobe product (Flash) it screwed up my ability to watch videos on my browser.
    Any information would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Spin45

Adobe Reader has the original 10.0.0 with its associated vulnerabilities and the patch of 10.0.1 which seems unable to run in protected mode in my environment or any that have roaming profiles.  The vulnerabilities that prompted the last two patches (would have been 10.0.2 and 10.0.3) have been forgone by Adobe, because "Protected Mode mitigates those vulenrabilities".  See here:  http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb11-06.html
    and here: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/advisories/apsa11-02.html
In my opinion, Reader X is not ready, they are soliciting for testers for a new release.  Version 9 with its attendant problems seems to be the only viable solution for me, if I can get the patches to apply properly, and the installer to work properly.

  • Has anyone had any problem with the multi choice tick boxes on a windows computer?

I have just created a form with check boxes on my iMac, emailed it to a windows based account and found that the check boxes don't work in windows explorer. Has anyone else had this problem?

If your Mac is truly running MacOS 10.2.x, you are limited to using 128-bit WEP security - WPA is not supported.
On the Linksys router, select 128-bit WEP and enter a passphrase. The router will generate, from the passphrase, four hexadecimal-format WEP keys. Copy down the FIRST of those four WEP keys - and use that WEP key on your Mac when prompted.

  • Has anyone had better success with Blurb (online books) than I have?

Blurb has been such a disappointing experience for me - I hope Adobe re-thinks aligning LR4 with them.
After printing my first book ($70), the page numbers were cut off, page colors way off, text off center and author's name cut off of the bottom hard cover - all within the LR4 template guidelines.  When chatting (no phone calls possible by the way) with customer service, no response on my issue for days.  When I sent an e-mail asking for an update they replied that if I asked about my issue again that my case would be sent to the back of the line.  When I asked to speak with a customer service manager (hoping for a normal person) I was sent a reply with Blurb's return policy link.  Finally, when they sent a note that they would promise to re-print the book (so late it will miss my special event & presentation of my book since this "chat" dialog took 2 weeks to complete and the printing another 10 days) they said the issue is "now resolved".
This group is not up to the standards of Adobe customers in my opinion.  I hope others have had better experiences.

After my initial poor results with my Blurb book, I thought I would spend more time with it as I love the idea of using LR4 to create beautiful books.  I spent a couple hours watching both the Blurb and LR4 tutorials on book making and learned much about this process.  I found a few things that really helped and used my first "bad" book to use as a reference as I created the replacement and another great 11" x 13" book as well.
First, LR4 has a new "soft proofing" tool in the Develop Module (lower left by the view options).  This is invaluable for the book making and will help tremendously with the underexposure and "off color" problems that seem to be an issue with many users.  Set the profile to Srgb (as this is the profile that Blurb uses) and use "Relative" intent.  Then use the soft proofing tool with the side-by-side comparison.  This mode will show you what the results of your adjustments should look like when printed in your book - such a fantastic tool!  This is also great, of course, for printing as it saves a lot of paper by hitting your "sweet spot" with the first prints (use your printer/paper selection for the profile in this case).  You'll likely see that your images need to be bumped up a third to half a stop of exposure (or more) to achieve the desired exposure level.  It also shows you any over/under saturation problems that will affect your images.
Second, I stayed well inside the white "text safe" line to keep my text from being cut off the page near the edges.  I found adding an additional 5% or so to the safety net was helpful.
Blurb took only a week to print my first "re-print", and a week to print 3 more books that I made after that - very fast turn around.  These books have fantastic quality and make handsome gifts. I love the wrap around cover image, end pages, and papers. I used the Pro Line Pearl Photo & found it to be quite beautiful & rich.  I paid the $10 for the Blurb sample material kit just to see the other options available.
I now think Blurb is a lot of fun to use with fantastic quality.  The results, I found in my experience after 5 books now, has a direct correlation with the amount of time spent learning about the process.  However, the above info alone will hopefully save a few folks some time and give you a satisfying book making experience.  Now that I feel I have a good handle on the LR4 Book Module, with predictable results, I think I may find this addicting!

  • Has anyone had a problem with the ipod mini after update

I just installed mac os 10.4.3 system update after the installation of this update ny ipod stop responding to the computer
has anyone experianced this problem it wont even let me reset the ipod i have tried over and over again

If you really find an answer to your question, you should search through these boards. A LOT of people have problems with their minis and Nanos after they download updates. Some people don't even bother with the updates.
My suggestion? Delete the update you just downloaded and download the version before that one. See if your iPod responds to your computer.

  • Has anyone had any trouble with the Move tool in Photoshop (v14.2.1)? I'm getting a dimmed bounding box akin to the transform bounding box, but this one won't let me apply or escape.

Having trouble suddenly with the Move tool creating a bounding box that wont let me release it by any means. It remains there no matter what, and now I'm having trouble using the Paste Into command.

Are you trying to move a background layer by any chance or a layer that is partially locked?? If you have show bounding checked in the option bar you should see the bounding box.

I think they mean the home button. Have you dropped your iPod or possibly have gotten crumbs/sand or something small into the button? This happened with my friend's iPod nano last year. She went to the beach and got sand stuck in the center button and now she has to press that button 4 or 5 times to get it to work. Unfortunatley I don't know how to fix this, but I hope this helped a little bit.
    Good luck!

  • TS3274 has anyone had a problem with the on/off button being stuck down?  my IPad is on, but the power button is stuck down and I cannot power off

I have and IPad 2.  I realized (while travelling by air) that my power button was stuck in the down position.  I cannot power off my IPad.  Wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue and what you may have done to rectify?  I think Apple may be aware of this problem.  I stopped into an Apple store and they were not supprised, but I could  not make an appt because I was traveling and did not live in the area.  Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?
    Thanks again!
