SO I am getting a strange error when trying to access the FIM Management Agents

Hi Everyone,
So I am getting a really odd error when I go to FIM --> Management Agents -->MOSS-guid ID right click on that and choose porperties, then Configure Connection Information, then I click OK and I get this pop up error "the type of 'pictureurl' string
is not compatible with the type of 'sps_mv_octelstring_pictureurl'. I got here by noticing that in the error log there was an error that said:
The management agent "MOSS-guid ID" failed on run profile "MOSS_EXPORT_Guid ID" because the server encountered errors.
when I searched on that error, it lead me to a ton of blogs that said to do the following:go to FIM --> Management Agents -->MOSS-guid ID right click on that and choose porperties, then Configure Connection Information at the bottom of the page there
is a Connect To field and every blog I read said to change it to direct:{Domain}:{Port}. The thing is that my domain and port were fine, so that is when I clicked ok, and got that error message. Ever since this happened, my FIM has been broken, and I really
can't figure out why???
So I haven't done any updates to the server in at least a year, so nothing could be happening there.
Any help at all with this would be taken with the greatest appreciation.

What you're doing is unsupported. You need to manipulate the MAs via Central Admin -> Manage Service Applications, find your UPA SA and manage it. You can then Manage User Properties and make changes to the Picture property from here.

Can you just check your end point URL, and try with appending user name and password at the end of it as parrameters like http://<end point URL>&UserName=admin&Password=admin.
Other wise check the SOAP request which is going to server using any tool as SOAP UI.

Right. If you are using delegated privs and sudo, make sure that sudo is configured to pass on the PERL5LIB and ORACLE_HOME environment variables at least.

I am getting an error when trying to access the RBAC User editor and Message tracking on the Web Mgmt interface. I verified that the admin account trying to access is in the Organization Management group and has the correct Role Assignment Policy applied.
I searched through this thread below and saw that matching the msExchRoleLink and msExchUserLink attributes fixed the issue.

However I have another environment where this is not the case and works just fine; the msExchUserLink attribute has a value of CN=Organization Management,OU=Microsoft Exchange Security Groups,DC=Domain,DC=Local which is different as per the issue outlined in
the above thread so I am not convinced that this will work and also don’t want to blindly edit something in adsiedit without being sure.

I then had a look at the IIS permissions for ecp and owa. The account did not have permissions so I added them there but still got the same error. I’ve also tried all of the above with a newly-created account but still got the same issue.
Any ideas as to what the above event log is specifically referring to?

From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
If you want to search message tracking logs, the account you use should be a member of the role groups below:
Organization Management role group, Records Management role group, Recipient Management role group.

Migrated to a new mac pro and keep getting an install error when trying to update the creative cloud app

I get an error when I try to start creative cloud that asks me to update. I download the updated installer and run it. I then get an error that says:
Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of Creative Cloud from 'http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp'.
Following the message is two buttons. Quit and Get Creative Cloud. If I follow these directions I will sit here all day just downloading and trying to install Creative Cloud only to find out that I have a problem for which I need to download and install Creative Cloud. This would be like the person who uses a whole bottle of shampoo every time they get in the shower just because is says lather rinse repeat. Can you break this endless loop for me?

Getting Java console error when trying to display the PO

In the approved shopping cart when we select any item details and when we go and see the follow-on documents we get two options to select 1) Display as Graphic 2) Display as Table. When we are select the option 2 display as table we are able to see the shopping cart and also the PO and further when we click on the PO it is displaying the order details.
However when we go by option 1 display as graphic, we are able to get the details of the shopping cart and PO, but when we try to click on the PO we get Java error indicating as follows. "Error. Click for details". when we click the on the error a window will apper and indicates that Application failed to run.
we installed the latest version Java and tried still we are getting the same error. Can any body help me in this.

Getting a strange error when trying to move photos from iphone to windows f

I hook up my iphone, windows recognizes it as a "camera device", and I am trying to move my photos from it into one of my desktop folders, and I keep getting an error!!!! ???

And the error is?
Also have you tried to just browse to the phone from My Computer, locate phone as a camera and just drill down into the folders and copy off the images (or cut/paste)

Getting a perl error when trying to discover a Weblogic Managed Server

Any help working this out would be greatly appreciated. I've searched Oracle Support and here without success so far.
I am trying to add a weblogic 10.3 manager server as a target for the agent on that host. Using Grid Control 10.2.0.5 patch 3 on both the OMS and the agent.
I get past the 2nd screen of the wizard then it fails. So far I've entered hostname, port, credentials for weblogic, then on the next page the credentials for the linux user on the host. Hitting next goes to a clock icon for a few seconds then it fails with:

I understand that when the agent runs the perl script weblogicdiscovery.pl, perl cant find the Find module to include (as instructed on line 2). The file in question exists in /app/oracle/agent10g/perl/lib/5.8.3/File/Find.pm .
I've tried tweaking the PERL5LIB env variable in the shell before I start the agent, and also in the emctl script itself, but neither seems to have any effect on that error message. It at least should have the basic $ORACLE_HOME/perl/lib in the path which is doesn't.
Anywhere else I should look for this variable setting?
Edit: Next question. I've been wondering where those "/ade/smayer_perl58_main_linux/..." paths were coming from as they aren't going to work and I see them (or at least very similar paths) defined in /app/oracle/agent10g/perl/lib/5.8.3/i686-linux-thread-multi/Config.pm . I've checked another linux host with the agent installed and it is the same, so must be defaults from Oracle. Was I supposed to change these after the install? I didn't read that anywhere. Still if we can set PERL5LIB before running emctl this should prepend real paths, right?

Should $ORACLE_HOME/Perl be rebuilt during the agent install? I'm thinking it should because those details in the file point to someone with a username smayer configuring perl as per his environment.

I've located something slightly useful on Metalink. Note ID 762125.1 particularly as we're using delegated privs and sudo.
However, this says this problem is fixed in 10.2.0.5. I'll prod my sysadmins some more on the sudoers configuration.

HT3910 I get an unknown error when trying to install the applications disc contents

I rebooted the MacBook pro that my dad just gave me and erased all the memory that he had on it but when I try to install the applications disk again it tells me unknown error and to contact the manufacturer I don't know who that is exactly(is it a specific part of apple?) and I don't know how to contact them what do I do?
