Even though I have deleted all my apps from my iPod touch it still won't let me update to the ios7.
A fourth generation iPod touch doesn’t have enough RAM to run iOS 7(it has 256MB, but iOS 7 requires at least 512MB). Nothing can be done about this.

i did a sync with my ipod touch last night , didnt look at it till this morning and have spotted that a lot of apps i have purchased off the apple store have been deleted , and they are no longer available on the store , what happens now ? have i just flushed my money down the pan ? if so i wont be buying anything else!!
It is your responsibility to backup your purchases. Have you failed to do this?

My itunes is currently empty with no music in the library when i try and add music by dragging and dropping. (which used to work) i try and sync but it dont copy onto my touch. Any ideas?
I have tried restoring the ipod and also re-downloading itunes.You can only drag and drop if you have iTunes configured to manually manage music. With the iPod connected to the compute go to the Summary pane for the iPod and check the box under Options that says sync only checked songs and videos.

Java on the Web (not to be confused with JavaScript, to which it's not related, despite the similarity of the names) is a weak point in the security of any system. Java is, among other things, a platform for running complex applications in a web page, on the client. That was always a bad idea, and Java's developers have proven themselves incapable of implementing it without also creating a portal for malware to enter. Past Java exploits are the closest thing there has ever been to a Windows-style virus affecting OS X. Merely loading a page with malicious Java content could be harmful.
Fortunately, client-side Java on the Web is obsolete and mostly extinct. Only a few outmoded sites still use it. Try to hasten the process of extinction by avoiding those sites, if you have a choice. Forget about playing games or other non-essential uses of Java.
Java is not included in OS X 10.7 and later. Discrete Java installers are distributed by Apple and by Oracle (the developer of Java.) Don't use either one unless you need it. Most people don't. If Java is installed, disable it — not JavaScript — in your browsers.
Regardless of version, experience has shown that Java on the Web can't be trusted. If you must use a Java applet for a task on a specific site, enable Java only for that site in Safari. Never enable Java for a public website that carries third-party advertising. Use it only on well-known, login-protected, secure websites without ads. so i was updating my ipod touch (4g) to ios 6 and i needed to stop it in the middle of updating. so i held the home button and the lock button at the same time for it to restart. It started turning on with the apple symbol and then the screen went white. I kept trying to do the same thing but it wouldnt work. Eace time i did that the screen was a different color. I was yellow/white at one point, blue at another time and sometimes the color behind the apple symbol. It got really HOT and i just let it die. When it was dead i put it on a charger. once it got charged up it started turning on with the apple symbol. then it turned white again and then restarted without me touching anything. When it restarted it turned the blue again. i took it off the charger immediantly because i didnt want it getting as hot as it was before. ive tried every way i know how to fix it but not putting it in the computer because i dont want it to ruin the computer. Please help because i really dont want to get a new ipod. Ive read a lot about how to fix it here on apple but there all the same answer and it still doesnt work. Please respond ASAP! thank you! i could really use your help right now!
First see if placing the iPod in Recovery Mode will allow a restore.
Next try DFU mode and restore.

Hi, do you know if this works if I then want to move my library to a new computer as that is my main intention bacause my old computer hasn't got enough space for me to add new albums so I want to ditch the computer (its got to be about 100 years old and doesn't seem to cope well with modern technology!!) and start using my laptop for my iTunes. I am at the point now where i'm ready to throw both my computer and iPod out the window!!!! I might point out as well that in trying to clear space on my computer I accidently deleted the Bonjour programme which is aparently needed to use the home share option, oops!!!!

If your iTunes is set on manual sync, then you have to manually drag and drop. Otherwise every time yousyncyou'll get all changes even if you don't want it.

Nothing. The 2nd Gen Touch is OBSOLETE and is WAY past its support life. If you want to run the newer apps you have to buy a newer iPod. -

memory system, you could be having an issue there.

Why is it that even though I've deleted all the songs on my ipod, the songs still show up in gray letters in spite on not being able to hear them.
First of all, try another port on your computer. Some ports are not connected direct to the motherboard and do not recognize the iPod as well as those that are. Reset the iPod each time you connect it to another port.
