i restored my iphone and did everything to get the software update message again and i didnt have 3g coverage and now all these people are getting the ios 5 update and my firmware is 4.2.10 and i really need to update it and its annoying me i cant =[
iPone 3G wont be able to upgrade no matter what, only iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 can be upgraded in the iPhone category
You think you got it bad my internet isnt working now and wont be working for a few days -_-

ok so I was getting the IOS 7 update and when i got it, it had an error during the download. so now it says if i want it to put it in restore mode, if i do will my ipod loose everything and if it does will i get it back
I went back to iOS 7 and my backup file is restoring but when its done nothing is on my phone still and only takes 11-15 minutes to restore the backup instead of taking 25+ minutes like usual so I guess the backup is corrupted. How can I fix this?

I got a new laptop and installed iTunes and plugged in my iPod but it won't get recognized on iTunes or in my computer, the computer says unknown device found and that the software was not successfully installed. What shall I do ? I tried reinstalling so many times and everything else I could find. Please help!

The same problem here. It's been great to stream TV direct from my Ipad to my 46" and even streaming movies from my Imac. Everything was top notch! But suddenly nothing works. I get to see maybe about 3 sec and then it stops telling me that "The content needs HDCP". But it worked since i bought it in June until now. Really tried eveything with chaningig inputs, chaning output res, cables, update my router. Still nothing... But when i plug it in a smaller and a cheap LCD 22" from LG it seems to work??? Why did it suddenly crash on my big tv that supports hdcp, and it obviously worked for 4 months?? :-(

My iPhone 4S had the iOS 6 update and I have been trying to download all day but it won't work and now when I go to software update of says iOS 5.1.1 is up to date. And I cant restore my iPhone becuase when I go onto iTunes it says that it can't find my iPhone. I have tryed to download the most resent iTunes because I went to apple website and just hit download iTunes so I guess it's the most resent version and I don't know what to do. Should I go to an apple store?

Are you running Leopard on your Mac, Laurie?
If so, try instead updating to iTunes 10.6.3.25. (That supports earlier models of iPhones running iOS 6, even though it can't run the new iPhone 5s.)

guys, I need help, im trying to the the new software IOS 7.0 and it requires 3.7 GB free space. im using the IPhone4 and it has 6.4 GB capacity. i've deleted so much and it still says I only have 1.4 GB, I dont understand where the 5GB are being used.
has any one experienced that? I cancelled my icloud account coz i tot the 5GB where there. im so confused. please help.
DeeFirst thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

On another note, is Norton somehow connected to Bing? I’ve been working with a tech at Norton for three days and they haven't managed to get the Bing out of IE and bring back my original search engine. They did some fancy shuffle to make me think they had. In reality just redirect the Google browser to my original home page and said "look its working”. The question is are they incompetent (doubtful) or have an interest in keeping Bing in IE. I can't imagine what axe Norton has to grind here, unless someone was paying them or threating legal act. Anyway As a result the Skype will not open, why that helps Microsoft I don't see it, since they own Skype. Keep digging ... "Conduit" adds components that once found are easily removable. I got slammed with this when I downloaded an old version of Skype from what turned out to be an untrustworthy website. (Lesson learned: only download Skype from app store or Skype website.) Was a time-consuming endeavor, but I prevailed.

Because I have limited internet package on my att iphone 5, I update apps on my computer thru ITunes and then sync them to my phone. The downloads seems to go thru and then install. But when I turn on my phone, the affected apps continue to say they are updating and it never goes away. I do not have wifi but when I am connected, the apps don't update. Help!!!!
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

You can't install 9.2.1 or earlier on any Mac that is only Mac OS X bootable. In fact you need to use the restore disks which came with those Macs to install 9.2.2 on those Macs. 8.6 is only possible to install on Macs which came with 8.6 or earlier. The 9.1 disk may be useful for your 1999 PowerMac G4, but won't be of any use for a 2006 Powerbook G4.

hello i hav an ipad mini and i was in the middle of the ios 8 update and i held the sleep and home button at the same time to cancel the update and now it wants me to connect to itunes i dont no how to do that can someone pleaze help me?
RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
I backed up my iPhone to my computer before I did the ios 8 update and now when i go t restore it it tells me there isnt enough space on the iphone. I lost half of my pictures in my camera roll. Is there anyway i can get these back?
You did import these important photos over to an alternative storage medium, just like you would with any digital camera, right?
