SO, I'm Scared with this new UPDATER...

Ok, i've read that long post about the updater, and it sounds to me like some ppl have been "careless" about updating their iPod. Once and for all, i'd like to see some feedback as to whether or not this idea is good. (updating to 1.1.1) I have had no problems with my iPod (except for the problem everyone has had with 1.1 and it's video playback). I am on versio 1.0 and I'm am debating whether or not to update. I just downloaded my iPod updater, so now all I have to do is plug it in. Yes or no with the updater?
Also, what has the new updater fixed? If anyone knows.

Chill, all I meant by that was that's what I gathered from a previous post. Hence the " " s. Not really MY word, it's just what I've read in another post, that it was due probably to the cause of careless people. So I was not attacking anyone. If you weren't careless, fine, jsut say so, don't have to be all offended or anything, I'm just here for feedback on the update so I know whether or not to upgrade.

This is really unfortunate. I'm sorry that nothing works. I was going to mention holding down the power button and doing a force shutdown but you already did that. You might need to take it into the Apple store. I don't know if booting into safe mode would help. You would have to turn off the machine again, hit the start button and hold down the shift key after you hear the tone, but normally you would let go of the shift key when you see the apple logo and spining wheel. Maybe by holding down the shift key after you here the tone will cause the screen to come back on? The other option is to start up from the 'install disk' if your machine came with one. You would insert the disk, then shut down the computer, and hold down the C key right after hitting the start button.

Software update 10.0.2 says that Logitech Device detection 1.23.05 won't work with this new update and will be disabled so I need Help.

I have a Logitech Y-BH52 keyboard so I don't want to have it disabled with the new update.

IMO, the most likely cause is a bad cable. 1Gbps requires all 4 pairs in the cable be connected. If only 2 of the 4 pairs are connected correctly, you will get a 100Mbps connect, but will not be able to connect at 1Gbps. Try replacing the cable with one known to work at 1Gbps.

Facebook in is not working with this new update from firefox. why?

i got on internet explorer and check facebook and they said that facebook was not supporting this new Firefox. i hate internet explorer.. and i was happy with firefox.. but i can't have it if it wont let me on facebook. i do a lot of my business there.

Are you sure you've lost apps? In iOS 7 if you have folders, now folders only show 6 apps at a time. You have to one-finger swipe from right to left to see the next screen of apps. Note the white dot and clear dots on the bottom of folders.
Otherwise, you can redownload apps from the App store without re purchasing. Use the Purchased button in the App store to see which ones are not installed.

What is going with this new software update, ios 6.1?

When I update to the new software for my iphone 5 and ipad, everything went well but I lost all my contacts on my home (important numbers). Then I went to the App Store when I get a free app and sign in with the new password, it said "could not sign in." I reset my new password then try same process again. Then the same message pop-ups again. Even rebooting the system again. THIS NEW UPDATE IS GIVING US A LOT OF PROBLEMS!!!! Now I could not get any free apps for school.

Sign out of the store first, then sign in again.

Right click on the device and select "Transfer Purchases"
