I'm aware that:
the BT.com home page is primarily based on the consumer side for acquiring and servicing customers
BT use sitecatalyst as well as test and target on their BT.com home page
BT have seen a lot of great results using test and target particularly on the BT.com home page
the BT.com homepage is a sign posting area for their three major segments around consumer, business and global services
the politics involved in giving up real estate on the home page mean that they've been able to use test and target to target specific segment groups as well as existing customers, returning visitors and switchers using IP checking.
(all of the above was correct on 12 October 2009 and the BT representative talking about this is available on You Tube).
BT may now be at the multivariant testing stage. Could this be the reason?
TBH I couldn't care less. I use a realtime cookie blocker so I don't have to clear all the cookie junk from my PCs after I've finished browsing. To date, the only ones I'm having issues with are from BT.
The first one is http://www.bt.com/ (BT home page). I used to be able to view my online bill and slowly but surely this facility has now been removed.
After logging in to My BT, that's where it now remains.
Q1) Has anybody else using similar add ons found a way to view their online bill?
I know other browsers work or going back to the paper version would solve this but I'd like to be able to view MY bill using MY preferred browser (with all the add ons).

All the blockers I use are customisable so that I can allow trusted sites through while blocking ones I don't trust. It's a pain setting everything up right, but that's the price you have to pay to use a Web that's full of dynamic content.

    The real question is how do I get to hear my blue ray and DVD discs in 5.1 sound? Will this work if I exchange my blue ray player for a Denon 3D blue ray or other player?

    The rule runs a few times on the server, I see the data on the Prrformance Window, and the event logs. But then, I stop receiving event logs and data on the performance rule. I only see event logs for New Configuration and credentials loading.
    I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Other rules from Microsoft MPs are running correctly and gathering data on that server.

    Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
    This happens the same whenever I try to install.
    To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
    My plugin is still showing as out of date.
    Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.

    I'm thinking that you have a > Mac mini (Mid 2011) - Technical Specifications because the 2010 model's only have Core 2 Duo processors and the 2011 had the first i5 processor. 
    2 GB of RAM is the minimum requirement for Mountain Lion, but it's hardly enough to really enjoy doing anything else.

    Plus I don't have any problems running Mountain Lion and a load of App's on my 2010 Mac Mini with 8GB of RAM.

    Restart the computer = joy?
    Reset the router = joy?
    Restart the computer in Safe Mode = joy?

    You probably don't really need 1080 at 60 for your finished projects but since you're just starting out with Motion, you need to lower your expectations. A long way. 1080 is about 2 million pixels per frame, DV is only about 400,000. That's not just five times as many pixels for the Mac to track; everything in video is exponential.
    Explore the training tutorials available by Mark Spencer. You will get an idea of how his super powerful machine reacts with the software.
    Adding a light roughly doubles the processing time over flat scenes. Two lights increases processing again. Reflections require processing the lights and then calculating the reflections so add another quarter of the time required for flat scenes. Add camera movement, motion blur, and depth of field and you need exponentially more processing time for every frame. The preload of renders into RAM is one of the cooler features of Motion, as comapred to After Effects, but that takes tons of time, to.
    Try working in ye olde DV resolution for a few days. Get to know the software's limitations and what gets imposed by your Macintosh. Step up to 720p/30 and see how things slow down.

    I am running Windows 7 64 bit ultimate and have the same problem.  My hard drive crashed, installed a new one and then reinstalled CS5 extended.  Installation went fine, but can no longer open my camera RAW files from Photoshop (camera is a Canon EOS T2i.  The message also tells me I am not eligible for the update.  I am... and I cannot open my files and I could before.  I can find nowhere to contact Adobe to tell me how to proceed.  My daughter is all a registered user of the same product and she had no problems upgrading... we purchased ours each at the same time. I do know the difference is that I had to reinstall and she did not.  If that means anything.

    Trash your preferences. Trash your project render files. Switch off background rendering. Export without using the computer for anything else.
    Oh, and if you're using 10.9 switch off App Nap.

    Yes, a very frusterating issue indeed. Someone else had mentioned a possible issue with real player, I tried getting rid of that and same issues. I even got completely rid of firefox for the moment. Guess what, problem still is persisting. I think this means it maybe something else altogether. I will go back to re-add firefox after I get this straightened out but now using Chrome for the moment.
    What I've also found out is that the sound can be restarted when I unplug and replug in the 3.5mm speaker cable from the audio output jack on the back of the computer. Any ideas?

    from the system information you've submitted it appears that the java plugin by oracle is already present on your system (but not the latest version). if you're having problems downloading java update 7 from java.com you can also use the inbuilt updater for java, that is accessible in the windows control panel (see [http://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_update.xml]).

    *It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

  • Dock disappears for a few seconds and minimized apps open up

    Hello
    My dock at the bottom of the display will disappear for a few seconds and at the same time, my minimized open applications will open up. This usually happens when I'm running a few light applications at once. It almost seems to "gulp" or catch it's breath.
    I'm not sure if this is related but for the second time since purchasing the machine the dock is showing a sort of double reflection at the very bottom. An open application has what looks like two lit triangles underneath the icon instead of the usual one triangle. The same area at the bottom of the dock shows a very tiny "bottom" of the page I have open, in this case Safari. It also moves left and right as I move the open page left and right. If I move the page down, the sliver at the bottom of the dock moves up.
    This is only the second time this has happened. The first time it went away on it's own and today it's back. It's not troublesome at all but I'm just wondering what may be causing these symptoms.
