So, I updated my iPhoto to the new version and lost all the photos inside my events

How can I get all my photos back to my events? After updating iPhoto to its newest version all my events are there, but they are empty. How can I get them back?

The easiest way would be to get the backup library made just before you updated and try again. Other that that give this a try: make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod/iphone/ipad: File>Transfer Purchases

Mini Man, I'm glad to read you found a solution to your issue, but I don't know if your solution is going to be mine as well.
For starters, I do not have the new Apple TV - at least, not yet. I have ordered one, but it will not be delivered until some time next week (sneering glance at Steve & Co. for abandoning that platform rather than making it AirPlay compatible).
But that is not really my issue: my issue is that my two Airport Express units do NOT show up in the iPhone, though the DO show up on my iPad. This tells me they have been properly configured (both units have names, and are connected to the house network), so there must still be something missing from the equation.
And, judging from the response of a few others who have chimed in here, I think it's save to say that the experience is not altogether uncommon.
I'm surprised nobody has come back with a more direct solution to the common issue. I may have to call AppleCare someday this week...

A tech rebuilt my iphoto thumbnail cache and afterwards all the changes and editing of all my 4000 photos was gone!
Every phot had reverted back to the original!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED???? Why were all my changes destroyed? Where are the photos that I edited?
Also a bunch of photos disappeared. HELP!!!!!

Of course there is no reason that rebuilding a thumbnail cache would cause a loss of all editing of my photos!!! But that's what happened.
I was there when the tech rebuilt the library and thumbnails. He held down shift & command and opened Iphoto and a window appeared with "Rebuild Photo Library" with 6 boxes to check such as
1) Repair Iphoto Library Database
2) Rebuild Iphoto Library Database from automatic backup
3) Rebuild the photos' small thumbnails
4) Rebuild all the photos'thumbnails (this may take a while)
5) Recover orphaned photos in the Iphoto Library Folder
6) Examine and repair IPhotoLibrary file permissions
The tech checked all boxes and after Iphoto has rebuilt everything all my editing was gone and all my photos had reverted back to their originals representing 5 years work.
There are no stuck keys on my keyboard of my computer.

I am a very upset and stressed out blackberry user who just spent 4 hours updating my Curve 9360 to a newer version only to find out when it was finished that everything - all my settings, text messages and photos - were GONE!! If I was using this phone for business I would be SO upset right now but as it is I am SO upset right now because I have photos on my phone of a loved one who is no longer with us and I really want those photos back.
The device did a back up but I can't open it and I really am not that tech savy about what to do.
It would have been nice if it had told me BEFORE IT WIPED EVERYTHING OUT - to save all my photos - or at least given me an option to put them all on my computer BEFORE WIPING EVERYTHING OUT.
I'm so upset. Somebody please tell me what to do to get my photos back on my phone.

First, please direct your anger appropriately...BB does not release updates to end users, only to the carriers. The carriers then choose if/when to release it to their end users. Hence, your ire toward BlackBerry may perhaps be a bit misdirected?
Now, how exactly did you conduct this update? You have no said, so I cannot know how to help you. Did you use the on-device wireless update? Did you use the Desktop Software via USB? Did you use the BB Update Website via USB? Did you use some other means. Depending on the means you used, your resolution path may be quite different.

Try resetting it if you can: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release. If you can't, try to connect it to iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your sync settings and click Restore to restore it. If that doesn't work you'll have to force it into recovery mode to restore it as outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.
You can check in iTune to see if you have a backup. They are listed in iTunes>Preferences>Devices. However, the backup may not bring your contacts back as contacts are only backed up as necessary to preserve the recent call and call favorites lists.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

apple Device Support, Apple Auto update, Itunes etc from your pc,
Reboot it
Now download a fresh itunes from apple and try installing
Reboot it
If you are having Problem in uninstalling any of the apple application
try 'revo uninstaller' and uninstall all the apple applications

I would update to the new version of Firefox but I like my big Google Firefox start page. Don't think I'll have that with the new version and I don't want to give it up.

I love my start page. It's nice and big with the Google search engine bar and Firefox earth symbol attached. I'm positive that the new version of Firefox will cause me to lose this particular start page so I refuse to do the update. If I download the new version and this happens I won't know how to get it back (tho' I did do it once and lost the start page so I went back into my Mac time machine and got the old version back. If I recall correctly, you are talking about the default start page. To check if this is correct, type '''about:home''' in the awesome bar. If this is the same as your homepage, it will still be there when you update.
